The people that work here are quite lovely and the people at the front desk are very kind. I like going to other lifetimes typically more but this one is better out of convenience for me. It’s pretty well cleaned and stocked. I just give it 4 stars because this lifetime really needs a remodel especially in the locker rooms.

Pretty fine. The steam room smells like feet idk why they stopped using the menthol/eucalyptus smell but the steam room seriously smells disgusting. The steam room is also co ed so that sucks. Theres other lifetimes that might be a better pick and this one is way too expensive for what it offers compared to other lifetimes. Fridley is cheaper and offers much better amenities. Staff are very friendly nonetheless, very clean besides the steam room and ppl are nice

Used to have some of the best basketball courts I’ve ever played on until they tore them down for a pickle ball court… according to lifetime basketball is a dying sport. That’s why they removed over half of the basketball courts in their facilities in the state. If you love Pickleball, I recommend lifetime, if you love basketball, find another gym. Not to mention the constant price hikes every six months I used to pay $60 for Champlin membership. It’s now over $100.

I’ve been a member at the “signature” level for several years and the “lifetime” BRAND keeps screwing over its members. We’re pay “signature” membership dues and our classes and group fitness times keep getting cut without a replacement already in place.
I joined lifetime for the group fitness classes and they keep letting me down. I’m very disappointed in lifetime’s disregard for what their members want and need. They care more about their “brand” than their members.

I always have a good experience here. The staff is great, it's well maintained, the cafe has a nice selection and reasonable prices. The monthly fee can seem steep, but if you use their facilities and services it's really worth it. Their classes in particular can really get you your money's worth. If you even just attend two classes per week you'd pretty much be beating the price on any other yoga, cycling, or class based studio.

Family swim hours/days could be more frequent and the slide is never on, even though we pay each time for our large family it’s off each time without warning prior. Different excuses each time we ask.

Red head lifeguard was super awesome and fun with our kids the time the slide was on. Everyone had a good time that day. Pool is clean/fun for families otherwise.

Christina must have NOT been in the mood to teach GTX tonight. I’m traveling and have been waiting all week to attend this GTX class and I get there early & excited for the 4 o’clock class today and she’s whispering to three of her (must be) regular members the entire time, doesn’t acknowledge the rest of the people in the GTX space and doesn’t turn on any music or anything. Not to mention she is incredibly out of shape and cannot seem to demonstrate the movements herself. Incredibly disappointing & a waste of time to drive 30 minutes for a workout While on holiday vacation to see my family :/ I pay for a $209 platinum membership & have never seen anything like this where I am from.

This is a great gym to visit. They keep the gym very clean and have a wide variety of equipment to use. The dumbells go up to the 130s, which is accompanied by a large selection of dumbell benches. There are plenty of flat benches and 2 incline benches. There are two really great power racks that are great for squats. They also have 3 newer power racks with a built-in deadlift platform with bumper plates nearby. The gym has a really nice pool area with a water slide, steam room, and hot tub. There are also 2 huge basketball courts. The cafe is decent. I really like this gym, but memberships are so expensive, and they don't always allow you to go to other nearby Lifetime Fitness, which is a huge downside when traveling.

Worst lifetime location in Minnesota. I only come here cause it’s the closest one to my house. Rude workers that will turn off lights on patrons while they’re showering or using the basketball court, esp that one housekeeper (Melanie) and old lady with long white hair who’s at the front desk😂 they’ve been acting up since the old manager left. Workers could possibly be racist too since they’re all Caucasian. Maple Grove location is much better. I don’t pay $200 a month for only SOME amenities. Ridiculous

There are very few hygienic items available in the mens locker room here compared to Eden Prairie.

The hot tub is huge.
I asked the receptionist today if they are any group fitness events happening right now she referred me to an intro to equipment class one on one with a personal trainer I said I wasn’t interested.

She then looked up a class that started 2 hours later and stated I would need to upgrade from a standard membership to attend. She stated that I could attend some for free . She didn’t understand that I was not asking for an upgrade or a one on one , how sad.

I just joined this gym. The employees have been very helpful and the facility is well kept. Going to this gym is almost like going to a spa. Update: I have been attending the gym for several months now and they continue to impress me. The equipment is maintained well and is apparently on a replacement cycle. I have seen various rows of equipment replaced and updated.

I’ve been coming to this facility for well over 4 years now. I consider this gym my home and the staff members are very kind and are willing to help you. The trainers are phenomenal, especially Greg. They offered me a free personal training session and after my first session I was excited to start my second and third. They had pushed me well beyond my limitations and helped me understand how my body grows. This facility gives you the tools and abilities to better yourself. The atmosphere is very positive and the members at this facility are open to help and guide if needed. You can’t get this kind of an experience at one of the larger life time facilities, I am a very big fan and will continue coming here 6 days a week for the foreseeable future.

I have experienced unprofessional customer service from Colleen ( Lady at the front desk) twice in a row. It's embarrassing to be treated like an outsider when i'm paying for my services. Colleen is unwelcoming, stand offish, and very very unprofessional. I was in the process of trying to understand time restriction for the lifetime guest pass ( keep in mind I'm a new member) she didn't acknowledge my presence and continue to proceed chatting with another guy. After I asked her again about the guest policy, she basically went to grab guest policy paper and threw it at me and continued with her conversation.

This is not how a business of this entity should be welcoming their guests. I have joined Lifetime fitness with my wife and kids due to it's reputation, but I am seeing and witnessed otherwise. Lifetime please do better.

I went in to get a membership on a Sunday afternoon.. the lady at the front wasn’t very helpful and didn’t understand what we were asking to do. we previously had a membership which was on hold and we wanted to re open but CHANGE to a family membership. She didn’t understand and keep saying ok we can re active. The person who could help us more was unable to meet. I lifetime emailed them since my hubby and I started new jobs amd our schedule made it impossible to make it to the gym to please stop our draft and cancel payment and our membership. I got an email back from them acknowledging my email that said we needed to sign something and it took 30 days for them to cancel. I knew with our new schedules it would be difficult to get to lifetime to sign something so I put a stop pay on my bank payment so they woudn't keep dipping into our account. Then I sent an email saying no problem I stopped draft to let them know. Apparently they sent an email which I didn't receive saying I still needed to sign something to cancel. However we did still get in there to sign something to make it official 11/6. They sent us something saying we still needed to pay all of November and December because apparently to cancel you have to physically sign in person with a wet signature and give them a full 30 days and since our payment came out the first that gives them a right to another months payment. Now the back story is that we hadn't used the gym in 4 months. So they are trying to come after us for 2 months of payments for services we never used. Even though they knew our intent to cancel in the middle of October and my email was acknowledged. Here is the biggest kick in the pants. My hubby has been a loyal member for 15 years and me for close to 10 years and because we are saying we dont think we should have to pay since we haven't used the membership in over 4 months and we notified them to cancel in October. Now they are threatening to send it off to collections. This is insane how they are treating us after all of the money we have poured into lifetime. I asked if they are willing to treat loyal members like this and apparently the answer is yes as I was told we have until 12/31. We had every intention of renewing our membership in the future after my kiddos are out of the house but not after this. I work in customer service and this is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! DONT join or you will have a hassle cancelling!!!!! Plus they will treat you like dirt no matter how loyal of a member you were.

Fabulous for a bronze club. I’ve gone there for years and like particularly the classes Pilates and yoga. Darcy, has been the best teacher and always present for many many years. Misled when signing up about eligibility of my kids to be part of parents night and other fun activities. Never was given access to the account online, even after requesting support. Was double charged for lifetime bucks for swimming lessons and cancellation charges for another 30 days for anything including swim. The staff was nice but apparently they can't fix anything since it was all corporate but corporate doesn't respond to requests through their website for support or fixes. Majorly regret signing up. Family account was 1OO and Fifty a month plus swim lessons so this last month after they double charged me I paid $2FourFour .. for 1 month.

Sales won't tell you this but if your child is under 3 all those parents nights they talk about are a no go, so are the any fun events. Sales told us we'd be able to use that service and there would be fun activities for our kids... he was well aware one of our kids is 2 since he typed that into the account I never got access to. Sales also made the account and messed up what kids got swimming lessons.

The swimming lessons were good. The staff in the kid center were nice. Front desk is nice but the place needs to be able to fix their own over charging and account issues. If you don't mind being double charged and being signed up for things without your consent this is the gym for you.

** I have added a star recently ** While the corporation really seems set to charge you without permission the swim team there tried their best and really did help my boys with their swimming skills. I wish you could go just for the swim lessons and pay them directly. The swim staff deserves a 5 but the frustration of billing and misleading sales still leaves the overall at 2.

I like this location. It's one of the few coed saunas and hot tubs that LifeTime has. My wife and I like to go together sometimes and relax. Most other branches are single gendered, which is fine in its own right. The locker room is small and the steam room sounds like a motorcycle is starting up in it, hard to relax with that.

On March 31st 2013 4 friends and I were dropped off at Lifetime Fitness to play basketball by parents. I had been to this location once before and me and some friends had payed $15 to play basketball. My friend had come the week before and said it was $3.50 and that the lady from before had made a mistake.

When we got there, we were served by the same woman as the first time ( time we payed $15 each). She told us that because we didnt have proper I.D (Chaplain Park High I.D or License) we could not get the 3.50 fee. She asked us in a mocking tone why "your 16 and you dont have a permit". We also could not get the $15, it was for people who came with a member. She said it was $25 EACH just to play basketball. She said that the lady who had charged us $15 had broken policy and will be delt with (IT WAS HER. I REMEMBER). It was cold, we didnt have ANY rides or anything of the sort. She told us we had to leave. So we complied and walked to McDonals in the cold. We sat there for 1-2 hours. We then called our other friend, he said he was playing at lifetime. We asked how he got in and he said he begged her and she agreed. We were Furious. We walked back then called him out and asked how he got in but we didnt. She said because he came with a member which was irrelevant. We were once again instructed to leave the property or the cops would be called. We left but met yet another friend in the parking lot, who happened to be a member. We went back in with him and asked to play. She only gave use the $15 price not the #.40 our other friend got. We asked her why he got that price and she said he has a Champlin Park I.D. THAT WAS A LIE!!! He's my friend, I see him every week I know what school he goes to. He also does not have a permit or Licence. She lied. And then said she was going to call the cops. We left. (our friends informed us that the cops did indeed later come. We waited for another 3 hours or so at Mcdonals and then finally got picked up. She was short, brunette and Caucasian. Not very specific but if I were to see or even hear her I would know it was her. She told me that she had had problems with me before which was false cause I had only been there once before. She had me confused w/ someone else and took it out on all of us. The worst part is she was hypocritical. She started out by saying "company policy blah blah blah" and by the end she was breaking it. My friend did NOT have a Champlin Park I.D because he does not go there I promise you. He does not. She lied. And whens he knew we had her she called the cops. I would have stayed and explained my case but my friends wanted to leave and I respected that. I want Lifetime to take disciplinary actions and an apology form her. No money, no discount just action and an apology.
