I've been coming here for almost 15 years but after yet another price increase while offering less services and less convenience, I am done. When I first started coming they had tanning beds they were 24 hours, pretty much everything in and about the club was better. The competition is offering so much more for a better price now. I had hoped this would be my forever gym but they are getting ridiculous with their prices.

NEVER EVER USE THE POOL
I was getting water therapy from nova care wich is connected to lifetime and they use the pool. Im very pregnant and went in for my physical therapy from an accident last year so water therapy is the only treatment j can have while pregnant.. during one of my appointment the pool chlorine level was so high it literally disintegrated my swim suit... wich i cant imagine what that is doing while absorbing into my skin while im growing an innocent small child.. I had to discontinue my therapy and I tried to contact someone about this issue over and over and over again and no one will call me back or speak to me. My eyes were burning due to how strong the chlorine levels were and every therapist from outside the pool asked if I was ok and told me we could end the session because of how bad it was. I wanted to talk to someone about this issue and the refusal to call me back or speak to me shows the clear worry they feel for a lawsuit. And at this point they should fear it.

Really enjoy coming here! Staff is so friendly and informative and the facility is so clean. Love the pools, jacuzzis, sauna, and steam room too! Huge amount of easy to use cardio equipment. Never need to wait! Lots of classes, Pilates, apparel, and a little restaurant for a quick bite. Having issues lately with maintaining cardio equipment. Have complained twice about two of the four upright bikes not functioning properly over the last two months. Still not taken care of.

The music is so loud that it sometimes drowns out what I'm trying to listen to on earbuds. Also they do not enforce the "no workout bags on the fitness floor" policy. The bags people bring into the free weights area are quite a trip hazard. I've brought both these issues up before but received no response from management.

I've had membership at higher level life times in the past but this one is right down the street. For being just a lower level club it is top notch. It's always clean. Wide variety of equipment. Group fitness instructors are amazing. And the child care staff is great. Dropping your infant off with non family members for the first time is a little nerve racking but they made it easy.

My only complaint is the group fitness schedule. I feel there are not enough classes after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends. Its hard to find classes that work well for me and I usually end up going to the Fridley location.

My experience at Life Time has been amazing, and a big reason is the front desk staff, May. From the moment I walked in, he was super friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable right away. he showed me around the club, explained everything in detail, and was very kind and respectful the whole time.

Honestly, I’m really happy with my experience here—I just wish I had known about this gym sooner.

The gym is in a pretty decent gym, but it truly is a lower tier LifeTime. I still prefer it to the significantly more expensive White Bear Lake LifeTime.

It has sizable availability of free weights and cable machines and a lot of cardio machines. Unfortunately, the stationary bikes are outdated and uncomfortable except for the two “blue cycles” which offer the most adjustability.

The reason for such a low score is because they utilize equipment from TechnoGym which initially wasn’t a problem; however, TechnoGym recently pushed updates to their treadmills that locked the previously available excessive stats behind an account login. This is a clear attempt to use dark patterns to drive people create an account so they scrape and steal biological information from machine users. This is an unacceptable malicious invasion of privacy. While this may not be something LifeTime can do something about, their particular selection of equipment manufacturers means that someone must be punished with a bad review.

I actually like this location much more than the Fridley one, it's more quiet and a smaller gym, they don't have a lot of the classes, racket ball, or a salon, but it is more kid friendly, nicer equipment, cleaner locker rooms. The sauna is coed and located in the pool area though. In hopes the staff sees this, I will say the men's steam room must be hitting unsafe decibel levels when you activate the steam.

I came in to get more information about the membership and I was told one price then another and when I asked a question it was like I was an inconvenience to the guy. I think his name was may at the front desk very rude. I asked for a tour and said um I don’t have time for that I’m looking at him like I’m trying to become a member and the cost a month is not cheap and yet he was rude I didn’t even want to look at the direction he was pointing telling me to basically figure it out. Lifetime fitness has started discriminating against the elderly. People who are in the silver sneakers program can now come in from 9:30 to 3:30 that is absolute discrimination and should be illegal. You and tell a kid on free and reduced lunch that they had to eat outside or outside of the cafeteria because they got free lunch. It doesn't matter who's paying the membership they have a membership!!! Those on medicare should be able to go in at any time just like the rest of the paying members!!!

Been going here for a year, lately the management has been getting progressively worse. Employees are always chatting and laughing loudly at the front desk. Sometimes I feel like I’m impeding on their conversations. Machines are poorly maintained and creak or shake in the middle of a rep. Metal bar attachments have very clearly not been deep cleaned in a long while. Some even smell sour even when you hold it arm-length away. I don’t think the carpet has ever seen soap in years; stains everywhere. Barely any services available. Not worth the price increases and this location is a stain on LifeTime fitness’s corporation. Bathrooms are clean, I will give them that.

Terrible management and professionalism. Yesterday I went to this lifetime location with my family who has a membership here. During my visit I was absolutely disgusted with how I was treated by a “manager” of this facility. I was struggling with my asthma and needed to pull my mask down for a moment so I could catch my breath (not anywhere near any person) while this was happening. The manager screamed at me stated “what is my f’ng problem” for not wearing my mask fully over my nose. I didn’t even have time to respond to the fact that I was physically struggling to breathe and needed to get my inhaler form my bag. The manager was in my face and aggressively telling me how their company would get fined if everyone does not wear a mask. I understand that this is important and their policy however I was in a situation where I literally needed my inhaler and could not focus on the incredibly unprofessional behavior of your staff. All I could do is state I understood and left the facility. I will never come back to this gym and will never refer anyone to this location.

I gave lifetime just a 3 star rating .what I liked the most was their steam room ,its amazing, their spacious and well ordered rooms. The way the inside is designed going from when you walk through the doors a health bar on the left, staff and check in for members as well as visitors in the center and a beauty salon on the right . If you have children they do offer childcare(also to the left) which seems from my overview and a walk through very large ,fun, and structured daycare and seemed organized for age appropriarity. If you go to the right, passing by the beauty salon , the long hallway leads to different types of rooms, you will see offices, massage rooms and the men and women's separate locker rooms. They have an option for tanning, 5$, and hairdryers, personal changing stations, showers and such. The thing I least liked about this place is how dirty the hot tub was during my membership and I finally refrained from stepping into it at all, and their really didnt seem to be enough staff available, also I like depth in a pool , however this pool seems like it was made basically for swimming training and other purposes.

Very pleased with how Lifetime has adapted to the events of the past year. The staff are extremely attentive, welcoming and doing everything to ensure that the facility stays open. The equipment is well maintained and so glad the pool is open again. I do wish the hours were a bit longer just because with my personal schedule I need the really early or really late hours (before 5AM and after 10PM)

I have been a member consistently for the past 12 years and discontinued my membership this month.
Here are my reasons.
1) Politics, yes, politics. Before, during, and after every election there are continuous agreements about politics. This occurs in the male locker rooms. It sometimes turns into scuffles which are broken up by other members.
2) Employees attitudes. I have witnessed many occurances for which an employee will use demeaning under tones or rhetoric towards members. Specifically the Fridley location. It is also continuous and the rudness is usually revolved around sales. If you're spending money on their ancillary services, you will be treated well, if not, don't waste their time.
Besides these 2 reasons I can name a lot or reasons that attract me to this gym. Maybe after covid I'll rejoin.

The lifetime cafe was a huge disappointment. The staff is not friendly at all. I ordered a to go meal and didn’t realize that bacon was underneath the food. I’m allergic to bacon and the store manager wouldn’t let me swap for another to go meal. I’m a regular at the cafe and they didn’t want to swap it out for me this one time. They ended up throwing away the food. Won’t be going back to the cafe.

A really nice gym with updated equipment and they are currently redoing their whir pool / hot tub area. What I like most about this LifeTime fitness location is that it is open 24 hours. Because my schedule is erratic, being open 24 hours gives me the flexibility I need to work exercise into my schedule. The facility and locker rooms are clean and well maintained.
