I give this Life Time Fitness in Fridley generally positive reviews..Liz at the front desk says the pool area is open until about 10:30 pm Monday to Friday and 8:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. There is a Pool Waitress serving beverages after 8 pm CST on Friday and Saturday night. 😄😅😀The Jacuzzid in the men's and women's locker rooms are very comfortable. The.capacity is 6 to 8 but sometimes after 8 pm there are members that overcrowd it and play on their smart phones .The free towels, organic lavender soap and shampoo is a plus along with private shower stalls is very appreciated 👍. The pickleball courts are very modern .$20 an hour for private rentals and free for ARORA. The tennis 🎾 drills are rather pricy at $23 an hour or $35 per 90 minutes. But is run by a pro . Nate and Jarod are very good racket pros. I wish newer members could rent a locker for $10 per month. A member has 4 free guest passes per month. But the free guest pass is once every 60 days. Otherwise, it is $30 per visit. It should be between $10 and $20 to attract more business since my membership is $99 per month. The outdoor pool is very large and cool. There is s privacy fence for modesty and safety. Have you ever considered an outdoor Jacuzzi Whirlpool like there was Einstein ago ? Thanks. The Lifetime app makes it very easy to sign up for classes , rent pickleball and tennis courts. Check your payments, visits and exact hours spent at the club. It does take extra time sunce the club requires your guest to install the app. That must be for promotional.purposes to attract new members , eh ? The app also has very good tips on health and wellness. There is a sign that says No Parking in the drop- off area near the front entrance..It is fine to stop for less than 3 minutes. But many drivers linger too long since it should be for emergency 🦺 vehicles. There was an unmarked black car with very dark tint on the windows parked in the fire lane for over 10 minutes on 11/ 04 /25 . It might have been unoccupied.
Very healthy food and drink at the the Life Cafe with weekly specials on sandwiches, etc. Very wide selection of beverages. Barristas are very friendly , prompt and offer advice on menu options. It is rather spendy though. Just remember to bring your water water bottle and/ or thermos. There are drinking fountains in 4 locations where you can fill it to save water for no extra change. Very Eco - conscious. FYI : to conserve 💦,. After you apply lavender soap and shampoo , turn off the faucet , lather up . Then turn the faucet back on to rinse off Saves poo precious time and water

I have belonged to Lifetime in Fridley for several years. I have a trainer once or twice a week to keep me focused on my goals and have taken classes but I find working with a trainer better for me. I love aqua aerobics classes. I have made great friends there. I have not met a member I didnt like. Pilates classes vary be instructors so when I found one I liked I stayed. The women's locker room and showers are ALWAYS clean. Some of my favorite employees are the "invisible" people who clean and organize and maintain the place. I have belonged to a handful of clubs over the years but Lifetime Fridley suits me best even though I drive further to get there. I have been a member for about 5 years and tried other clubs but always go back to Fridley Lifetime. I have read other people's reviews and I don't understand their negativity. I have only experienced well maintained equipment, cleanliness in lockers and the main floor, respectful and polite staff ... and very happy members who chat with me and become true friends. The women's steam room is spotless. And the showers are cleaned regularly. Fresh clean towels are always available. The cleaning staff will go out of their way to get you things you need. Trainers go out of their way to help members...even if the member is not paying for their time. The "invisible employees" that stock supplies and keep the place clean are always willing to go the extra mile. Management deserves an award for hiring such great employees. Don't listen to those negative comments on this site. In the 5 years I have been a member at Fridley Lifetime where I work out 4 days a week. I have never experienced anything but the best service, the friendliest staff, the cleanest facilities, well maintained equipment and the happiest people.

**I just tried to go into hottub and there are 6 guys in the hottub in nothing but towels again. Clearly my below review did nothing. I watched multiple staff walk by and do nothing. There are 4 signs warning people. If you are not going to do anything to stop it why have it?! I also have noticed a lot of the same things others of said not helping the LQBQTA+ members. Been here for 10 years and this past year I have seen the gym go down hill***
I love the gym overall and been going for years but few things that didn't make this highe and have occurred revently. I like that you have signs for no towels in the jacuzzi as it does ruin that for everyone but I don't see it enforced. Numerous times I am in there and see people walk in with just a towel. The other issue is the new guest pass policy. Requires the guest to also download the app and sign up. I don't even have the app so not going to make a guest. Seems like you are trying to advertise to them then. Also makes it easier for you and not your guests. My parents love to come to the gym when they visit me couple times a year and this is going to be a pain and maybe not worth it since I would have to fully set up mine and then their phones when they don't want unless apps on their phones they are not going to use. The old iPad and ID method worked great

I have been a member at Fridley Lifetime for years. All the trainers and staff have been wonderful. The locker room is spotless. The inside leisure pool is warm, there is a lap pool inside, too. The outside pool is huge. I have never met a member I didn't like.

Ya know I really wish that I could give this gym a better review. The staff are friendly and the gym is active and lively. Here is the downside. Nothing is being well maintained. Specifically the men’s locker room. Good luck finding a locker. Seemingly 70% of the lockers are locked, even when going when they first open. When asking staff about this I was told “they don’t have an operations manager right now so a lot of things are falling through the cracks”. After repeatedly asking that staff spend the time to go through the locker room and unlock all the lockers before or after they close so that people don’t have to spend all there time finding an open locker. I’m not spending $100 a month on a “luxury gym” that can’t do basic things. Along with that most of the jets in the men’s hot tub do not work. Out of the seemingly 15 jets there are 4 that work. I’m sure it’s a pain to have that fixed but clearly being looked over. Also the handicap access to the hot tub has been broken the entire time that I have been a member. Also a lot of the shower curtains have holes in them that peeping toms use to check guys out in the shower. Go ahead and cruse in the shower or whatever if that’s your thing but don’t involve people that don't want to be apart of it. (This lifetime has more cruising than any location in the twin cities) Frankly it just seems like staff doesn’t care. Some staff go above and beyond to try and provide the best experience to guests and it shows but unfortunately the good ones are overlooked by the lazy managers that can’t bothered.

Too many people sitting around on the machines looking at their phones between sets. I mentioned this to one of the trainers and she defended this behavior. No way is 5min on a phone between sets beneficial. Sad that the trainers support this behavior. Wastes a lot of my time waiting to finish my workout.

*EDIT: Their generic, AI-looking responses to negative reviews continues to highlight their lack of caring. How exactly do you want me to provide my info? Walk up to the front desk and have underpaid staff help me? How about you just commit to making changes instead of virtue-signaling for online optics. What a shame. 0 stars if possible.
We’ve been coming to this gym for a couple years, and this last year has proven to be a huge downhill slide for this location. Everywhere you look, the place is absolutely disgusting. Discolored carpets, massive hairballs in shower drains, band-aids in the steam room, and so much more. This was all noticed in one visit today. I witnessed an employee stock clean towels in the locker room, then with the same bin, place dirty towels in there. They clearly use the same bin for clean and dirty towels without cleaning them out. Absolutely disgusting. A guy brought in two beers, chugged them, and left them in the locker room. The constant stench of body odor in the entire downstairs area.
The new “TechnoGym” machines are not ergonomically friendly and have worsened my workouts. Why fix something that wasn’t broken? They clearly spend money on machines but not basic cleaning supplies or labor.
Not to mention the absolutely abhorrent treatment of LGBTQ+ people and their inability to protect against harassment from other patrons.
I frequent the salon, which is the only saving grace of this location. Joseph is an excellent stylist and always makes me feel great. The manager of this location routinely comes in and gossips about employees and corporate, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Joseph always has to apologize for the behavior of other employees while I’m getting a haircut.

"Luxury"? Yeah right... This place is gross. Dirty and stained floors, dripping ceiling (been there for months...), musty towels, staff mixing clean and dirty towels in the same bin, stained shower curtains with holes cut in them, crumbling pillars, peeling wallpaper, exposed wall sockets, empty beer cans, stench of weed, and just generally unclean conditions. Even at the least busy times the staff clearly does not care to maintain the cleanliness.
On top of all of this they have done nothing to address members who are harassing LGBT individuals.
This (Fridley) facility is no longer worth it's rising price tag.
To the copy/paste response below... already did that, check your records.

I have been a Lifetime Fitness member for decades. Just getting back in the gym after one of those hiatus we all take. Upon arrival found out they had updated the App. Ah the Inconvenience of Convenience. Upon arrival at the Fridley location, and happy I had convinced myself to get there, had troubles checking-in using the App. Luckily, Janele & Rylen were working, diligently folding towels and interacting with customers as they checked-in. These ladies proficiently helped me get in and get to work trying to find some muscle mass that I had recently misplaced :-)
Both Janele & Rylen represent Lifetime extremely well. What a positive & refreshing experience as a customer. Both ladies displayed depth of character, patience and an authentic passion to help customers. In a day and age where it is challenging to find people work, at least consistently and not just be there, these two are incredible. They are both genuinely engaged in what they are doing and huge assets to Lifetime. They will both go far wherever they want to go in "Life". As a customer, I would like & expect their manager, Emily, to recognize both of them as shining examples of Excellence.

I’m getting extremely sick and tired of the unpleasant attitude of the employees at this location. Front desk staff are off putting and unwelcoming and locker room attendants are RUDE. For the membership price I would think they could have better customer service. Front desk staff act like you’re bothering them when they have to talk half a second to scan your membership. Locker room attendant snapped at me even after profusely apologizing when I made an honest mistake and put my swimsuit in the dryer because I overlooked the tiny out of order sign. Showers are always full of hair. Shower curtains are stained and ripped.

This LifeTime is far from the premium experience you’d expect from other LT. The hygiene and customer service is non existent. Hair in every sink at all times, questionable staining all over the locker room floor, broken lights over the toilets, abandoned towels all over, build up on every vent in the weight room, broken wood trim throughout. I can’t believe LifeTime claims this location. Not to mention juveniles and kids all over without any supervision. The staff is extremely rude and have zero courtesy. They talk to you as a nuisance and without respect, Instead of as a paying customer. I know this is not Bahram’s vision, the attention is definitely on the new and not the old. Maybe it’s because the local area is not the nicest. Apparently Leadership doesn’t care how bad this location is.

Very smooth and extensive equipment which fit all of my needs, includind a massive room of weight lifting. After my usual workout, I went to the basketball court for fun, caught the end of Michigan-Alabama football game lounging in the caffeteria. There is an indoor track, places for pickleball, tennis, yoga pilates, and.swimming. There are multiple personable and highly trained staff (ask for Paige). You just have to bring your own energy!

Would give it more however. I was just charged $10 for a service fee for them removing someone from my membership. They claimed it was to motivate people who to not make frequent changes to their membership. Poor excuse.
The TVs have been broken for about 2 years and they just fixed them because there were only 3 that were left working. Half the treadmills and elliptical work and take them forever to fix.
One of the coaches kicked me off a treadmill I was using because they had a class but there were more than enough treadmills to go around.
Basketball courts are always crowded at night because the staff seems to let everyone off the street jn. I played on the courts and while I was practicing apparently they had just moped the four and didn’t tell me or put out a sign I ended up slipping and sprained my frown and ankle. I told the manager and he said he was going to compensate me with store credit and nothing happens. Completely incompetent manager.

Plus those who like to run serious, it's hard to get a tread meal that's not broken, or about to break. I can't run I've 4.0 speed or else I feel the treadmill will fall apart. Besides that, everything here is fine

It was my first time coming to Life Time and I will not be coming back. The front desk staff were mean, rude, judgmental and made my friend and I feel like we did something terribly wrong for not knowing their guest pass policy. Rather than kindly letting us know about the guest pass policy, they treated us like criminals who were trying to get in for free. I left crying with my eyes all red after the interaction with the front desk staff who treated use like criminals. People come to the gym to destress, not to be judged, profiled, and made to feel unsafe. I couldn't even exercise after the interaction with the front desk staff and had to leave. It did look like they had nice exercise machines, but after the interaction with the front desk staff I was no longer in the headspace to even utilize the equipment and had to go take care of my self after such a judgmental experience. I don't wish for anyone else to experience how the front desk staff and management made me feel. Go somewhere else that is more welcoming and respectful of others.

Love Life Time fitness but every once in a while there is a lifetime worker (see picture)that is in charge of the basketball gym and no one I talk to likes the system he has I understand the gym limit capacity but he treats everyone like prison inmates
1 shutting lights off
2 making people leave the gym
3 stand out the door waiting in line to get back in
If your going to enforce gym rules then maybe enforce all rules not just pick and choose what to enforce otherwise just let us play
The way it is getting done makes everyone either fight for a spot to play when we get in or sit on the bench for 45min lit next hour and then fight for a spot to play again
Every time I come and this life time worker is in charge it is no longer enjoyable and I wish I could give a 1 ⭐️ every time this happens
Please have this worker change his system I know it’s probably not his fault he is just doing what management has him doing and if that’s the case then Management please see that something different has to be told to be done
After the owner replied to me with his comments that sounded genuine and wants safety I’m changing my review to a 3 ⭐️ I still don’t like the system but I guess I’ll just play basketball when this is not happening thanks for being a great gym for the most part 👍

Aside from the age discrimination with Medicare members. There is a sign that says"FOR YOUR CHILDRENS SAFETY,CHILDREN UNDER 12 ARE NOT PERMITED PAST THIS POINT" The manager is allowing people to walk around the track holding their kids. There is also women pushing strollers around the track.I saw one young woman on her cell phone pushing a stroller weaving all over the track. On more than one occasion I saw TWO "women" side by side pushing strollers on the track.Having no consideration for others trying to get by.The other day a mom brought her stroller into the tread mill area. Why the manager is allowing this saftey violation is beyond me.There is day care there I think. Why have rules if they are not enforced? Think about what the consequences could be if something happens because the manager ignored safety. This should not be allowed.

Fridley MN club: Sauna and steam room were crowded. There is no place to sit down. I counted 15 people. Staff asked to vacate the sauna 15 min to closing. They wide open the doors, placing dumbbells under and forcing members to leave. I need only 5 min. The fee is climbing every year, but service is going down. Two cycle classes on Mondays and Wednesdays nights i attended for years are no longer on the schedule. I'm not sure if they will be back after summer break. The Male population is quitting Fridley Club because they are not into yoga. But even for ladies , we lost all dance classes of any kind in PM. All we have is yoga for people who work 8-5. (most of the USA population).
Did i say we get kicked out early... there is a need for longer hours as people still work out when they are asked to leave.

Yesterday I was on stationary bike when this very loud music rap started for a class near me. My Apple Watch started alerting me that I was in an environment with at least 90 decibels. I could not hear my own music and a friend came up to chat and we could not hear each other. I asked the instructor of the class to please turn it down and she suggested I move to another area
I told her I still needed to work out on the strength machine s and asked her again to turn down the music. She was very snotty and said no
There should be guidelines for all clients on how loud music can be
Why could she not honor this request?

Tough for remote work. In a world where remote work is important and part of daily life, this location does a bad job of supporting it.
There are only two access point in the main gym area. This is a very incomplete mesh network where if you go downstairs, or anywhere that is not directly near the alpha training area, and cafe, you will have zero WiFi. It consistently gives off bad IPs as well in the 169.254.x range. It has gotten worse over the the last couple of years where in the past you could get a WiFi signal n we the open wood floor area. Now it’s a dead zone. Very difficult to listen in on calls from here and multitask unlike at other locations. In addition, most, if not all machines will not connect to a smart watch like an Apple Watch.
The only good thing about this place is the length of the track and nice staff members.

This is by far the worst Lifetime I have ever been in. Now there have been 2 showers in the men’s locker room that have been out of service for over 5 weeks. The shower heads, hot/cold handles and shower curtains have been removed with yellow tap hanging from the curtain rods. How hard is it to replace a shower head snd water handle??? This makes there to be a waiting list for available showers diring peak times. Often I just leave and shower at home. Why charge $99/month when you can’t even use the anenities.

This location is constantly dirty from the track, to the workout floor to the locker room and steam room/showers. The towels are paper thin and feel like they haven’t been replaced in years. The locker room always smells moldy. The men’s steam room floor feels gritty all the time from people wearing outside shoes in there. Shower curtains are moldy and torn. I told the front desk about multiple issues but nothing ever happens. The big kicker for me was when someone brought their young daughter into the men’s locker room to change with them. I said something to a worker that maybe he should let them know about the family changing room and he just shrugged then walked away. Talked to an alleged manager and he told me that didn’t happen. I emailed their Corp customer service team about it but no one ever responded. I don’t recommend this location.

Prices are ridiculously high for what is presented. “Memberships” for the older folk is so sad and the rules are outrageous-they’re the gyms most committed and biggest group! You also have to pay to reserve and use the tennis courts??
Besides that, the amenities are low tier. For a fitness center with rising prices, the gym equipment remains old and outdated. They can’t keep a full set of cycling straps for too long. Idk if people take them home or what but sometimes I’m left with using two right sided straps. Foam rollers have chunks missing and they shed on the carpet after usage. There has not been one day where I was at the gym and a lack of towels or sanitary wipes wasn’t an issue. I’m tempted to just bring my own bottle of wipes at this point. People bring their bags and jackets into the weight room even though there are signs posted. Weights are NOT returned correctly and the night staff certainly doesn’t do a check over to reset things. I came in three days straight in the morning and that Celsius can remained on the floor next to a machine all 3 days!! Speaking of floors, the floors are always dusty. If it is mopped, which is rare, the mop water smells like mold and water from the swamp. And when machines are broken they’ll remain that way for extended times.
Locker room floors are usually wet throughout the day and obvious slip hazards. The upstairs level tracks are never vacuumed and you can see the dust and crumbs from a standing eye level. If you look up at the ceilings near the pool window, you’ll see missing ceiling tiles and holes. And Whenever there’s a rain storm, that’ll drip water onto the tracks. Sometimes buckets are there, sometimes just a bunch of rags thrown on the floor. You’ll never know so don’t run on the tracks after a rainy day. The first time I noticed, the duct work and wiring were so exposed. This has been a whole year for the ceiling being treated like that and I’ve been waiting to see if and when they’ll fix it.
Parking lot should get patrols or something. They just added a a mobile camera station but I still see people racing into the parking lot and cutting across spots. Whether it’s at 5am or 7pm, there’s always someone with music blasting and going 30mph in the rows.
I will say that the morning staff during the week are always prompt and hard working. It also seems like they’re picking up a huge amount of slack from the night time shift. It is amazing how efficient and hard working the woman who does the towels in the mornings goes but it’s sad how she’s always having to get them and work so hard JUST FOR TOWELS.
Even though it’s a very convenient place (about 8 min from me), I am very tempted to go somewhere else at this point- especially with the raised prices and mediocre amenities. It doesn’t take much to just clean and update a place which is why I have hopes still but this is getting too much.

The stench I smelt in the steam room has been following me since 9am. I think the staff do what they can to keep the men’s locker room clean, but people misuse the steam/sauna room. Some people think it’s their own personal room and have no care for anyone else’s cleanliness. I’ve seen a man come in the steam room and sit upside down (Dead serious) ??? Placing his nasty feet where someone would normally put their head. Shower curtains are growing mildew, Basketball courts are always packed or reserved.
My membership was bumped up $10 due to the many “improvements” that have been made. I only see a declining and failing establishment. I think it’s time to dump this overly priced gym membership.

I have been coming to lifetime fitness since I was super young when it was northwest athletic club. The only good thing I’m going to say about this gym is the set up is great and the track is nice. The last 3 years… this gym has REALLY gone down hill. I pay $106 a month for a gym that is supposed to be “really nice.” More than 95% of the staff have no customer service skills… I mean as little as not even saying “hi” when they are scanning your card. It’s always dirty and always out of wipes in the work out areas. The club hours are absolutely ridiculous. I understood closing earlier when Covid was around but later hours would be great. It used to be 24 hours and now they close at 11pm during the week and 9pm on weekends which makes it difficult especially when I have a baby. Who comes at 4am? It would make more sense to open a little later and close at midnight! The thing that upset me the most was I barely use the steam room… I went in today at 10:43pm, I stay 8 min max, change and then leave. A lifetime worker comes in and tells me it’s closed and I got so upset. They decided now to close it early at 10:45pm which I didn’t know since I maybe use it once a month. I have never left the gym “after close” time. I don’t think it’s fair to change that for people who don’t abuse the privileges. I know there is soooo many women who stay out in the locker room, steam room, sauna, etc and then get in shower at 11. Enforce that to them rather then punishing members who aren’t. It’s not our fault that staff isn’t doing their job correctly. I never thought I would want to switch gyms but I’m highly considering leaving lifetime. There is a lot of nice gyms out there. I’d recommend to stay away from this one.

This has been a great place to help with staying healthy ... especially as a senior citizen that still has to work full time. I've appreciated being able to come early in the morning. The club is not packed like in the evening and you can get through a workout routine in a short amount of time.
However, they are now in the process of discriminating against us with a cavalier attitude that lacks dignity and respect.
We don't understand how you would gain more profit by eliminating 1000 seniors at your Fridley location.
We don't understand how you think we are taking up so much space in the early morning hours.
Your "new program" of limiting our hours unless we pay the additional $80 to $100/month for full access could end up financially hurting you.
We could all leave and you are out $30,000/month.
We understand you are a business that needs to make a profit ... but on the backs of senior citizens with limited resources and of which many still have to work?
How did Chris Lichtenberger sign his email to us ... "In Health" ... what an oxymoron.

I love this location & Life Time in general! I joined only a few months ago and it already feels like a second home. Only request / area of opportunity would be for more plant-based (high-protein) options in the cafe, pretty please 😀

Don't bother, save your money and go elsewhere.
The staff are friendly, but you'll maybe see 1 or 2 while there.
The facility isn't that great. They can't be bothered to keep the place at a comfortable temperature, or upgrade their HVAC system to do so. But it's not like that'd help as they'd hike up the already ridiculous membership fee - $99/mo for new members. For Fridley? Don't do it.
The same weight machines are always broke, makes me think they don't bother to truly fix them, or won't upgrade to a more sturdy version.
Not to mention the other gym members. I understand that people are showering and changing, but wandering the locker room naked with your towel in your hand, or no towel at all, is just inappropriate, especially when some people bring their children into the locker room. Too many of them just sit around on the lifting machines instead of actually lifting them. People don't bother to wipe down their machines after using them, even when the club actually makes sure they're stocked up on disinfectant wipes.
I don't see what's worth me spending $75 each month on. I know I wouldn't even bother with this location if it wasnt the closest and I didn't get a discount from my health insurance.
They were converting all the lockers to combination locks, but seemingly gave up after doing most of them, but with the new locks it's not like you can tell which ones are even available, not to mention there's a scary amount of reviews reporting stolen items from lockers.
Try another location, or just a different chain completely.

Gross environment at least in the weight room downstairs. Folks leave equipment all over, don’t wipe down their sweat, floors are dirty and continuous foul language.

Joseph at the Lifespa is a life saver. I was getting my workout in and had a big client opportunity I needed to get right for. I was leaving the gym and was literally rushing to google barbershops so I could rush to get a haircut done before appointment with client. As I was walking out I caught a glimpse of Lifespa and stopped in my tracks. I walked in asking if they had availability and I was surprised that they did! Joseph did such a great job with the haircut. He really takes pride in his craft. Not only that but his customer service was phenomenal. Sets the standard with his care and his questions to make sure things are going how I wanted them to. Crazy to think I may be looking to get my haircuts at Lifetime moving forward but he definitely earned it with a job well done and a great experience.

Fridley location has terrible management. They cannot control men's locker room. Lockers are being solicited but they're doing nothing about it. There alot of honest inviduals who doesn't solicit would not have Lockers to be used especially during the week after work hours.
I've been member 21 years minus 2018 I quit for relocated.
To owner.
Less than ideal? It's 99% less than ideal when you used to workout 4-5 times a week but now I only do one day or not even per week especially during the week after work there are no lockers available. Of course there are alot of people won't say a word because they're one of those who locked up the lockers when they not supposed to.
Thank you for your offer as I don't need any therapy or insult from Lifetime's employees. I/we pay alot of money to get the service that we don't right now. If you think you can fix my problems I think it's better that you should fix the problem Lifetime is having at Fridley. I know so many people from all these years using the club that is having same problem. We talked to managers especially Nicole time and times but nothing happened. I personally will wait 2 months if nothing changes it would be my decision to leave the membership.

I’ve been a member at this location for awhile now and am disappointed about the cleaning standards. My most recent issue is the women’s sauna, open entering it doesn’t have a nice cedar smell, it smells of dried sweat very strongly. You can see all the collected sweat and hair in between the wood planks, it hasn’t been cleaned in the 5+ months I’ve been a member here.
Edit: so glad to see that the women’s sauna has now been cleaned! Now time for the men’s, I hear it is quite dirty from my partner.

Lockers are always locked somehow at 6 in the morning with barely 12 cars in parking lot the men’s locker room lockers are all occupied. Management continues to completely ignore the issue. Many other members have complained as well because it’s the main topic to us regulars. I picked lifetime for my family for luxury offers like clean lockers but those aren’t so luxurious anymore because management continues to ignore the issue.I will come back to this review once this locker issue is addressed.

The Fridley club is a shady place. On Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 someone got into my locked locker with a key, took my wallet out of my pants pocket and stole my credit card. They refolded my tri-fold wallet backwards and put it back in my pants pocket upside down then re-locked the locker to make it look like nothing was missing. It was obvious to me by the wallet position and fold that something happened when I went to put my member card back in my wallet. First thing I noticed was my credit card was gone. HERE'S THE KICKER... The master locker key is kept in an unlocked janitor closet in the men's locker room. I saw 3 guys that were clearly not employees coming out of it about 45 minutes before I found my locker has been broken into. No manager was onsite when I reported it and I was told she would call me back about it. 6 days later I still have not received a call. So, today I called the corporate office to report it and was told that the Director of Member Services would be calling me back shortly. NO CALL BACK!!! I canceled my membership to Life Time Fitness because of this. And now they are going to charge me for an additional month of dues anyway.
***Apparently you need to write a public review on Google in order to get a response. But this issue did not get resolved.
***I found out from a friend that locker break-in’s are common at this club.

Other than the horrible guest pass design. the mens locker rooms has actually improved. it does not reek anymore. You get two guest passes per month but cannot bring the same guest until 60 days later. which I don’t understand whose great idea that was. Basketball gyms are decent. Weight room is decent. I haven’t used the pool but the outside pool looks like nice. Membership for single adult and one kid $130 is a bit pricey. considering going back to the YMCA clubs.

Our children always been active and was member at RAC in Rochester for 10+ years and it always been an excellent service and communication.
Moved up to the city and signed the children at lifetime fridley. It was ok until this week when the children was injured and trying to get the membership status adjusted due to medical reason, it has been a nightmare. Felt like I was accused of lying about the injury to get away paying the membership. I provided Doctor note but was told that note for one of the child was not acceptable. I’ma parent of the child, i won’t know what doctor put on the note and its not my place to tell the dr what to write. So I was told to get an updated one. I wish lifetime know how hard and time consuming it is trying to get a doctor note from a clinic, many people to talk too, being transfer, putting on hold to the end of being told that someone will call back.
Then I was told lifetime refunded something to my credit card, but then was also told that it was an error and have to recharged me. I haven’t seen any refund on my card but lifetime sent the charges.
I can’t believe how difficult and complicated it is to have account changes due to medical and to have a decent communication rather than, “sorry thats what’s needed and what you have to do, there’s nothing i can do.”
All I want is to put the membership on paused for medical reason, until they are healthy and fully recovered.
I have no choice but to cancel the membership. I’m very disappointed with he service.

The evening staff do a poor job of enforcing the rules and keeping children out of the pool area during evening adult swim times. There's a group of unsupervised kids that's been routinely harassing the adults and seniors trying to enjoy a relaxing evening swim by jumping into the pool and splashing right next to them which appears to be on purpose as there is plenty of space to spread out and they seem to choose to get as close as physically possible and are throwing pool noodles in their direction. The facility should have a staff member in the pool area redirecting kids to other activities and reminding them the pool is closed to kids during adult swim hours. Everyone deserves to feel safe and the situation is getting out of hand. It's time for the business to step in. They can't advertise that they offer adult swim hours if they are not going to enforce it and provide that service to their guests. Very disappointing.

I really like the community of this Life Time location, that’s how you can tell it’s a good people gym. People here aren’t shady when asking to use equipment or share. The location is perfect for those in the Minneapolis or Saint Paul area. The one and only downside is that the mens locker room reeks and I mean it reeks like someone’s stinky sock smell got stuck in the carpet. Other LifeTime don’t have carpet in their locker rooms - they have tiles instead. If they could change the carpet to tiles, it would stink less I believe. Also the AC doesn’t work in this lifetime so if you’re lifting downstairs you’re going to sweat and it stinks downstairs.

The inside pool area has bugs and it has not been dealt with in the past month. The deck is slimy, too.
The group fitness classes are lacking in cardio options. We used to get 60 to 90 people in cardio classes such as cardio boxing and hip hop aka dance jam classes and they don't seem to value those formats at this club at times that would be well attended in 2022.
The new shower heads in the women's locker rooms are extremely high, 7 feet? People cannot adjust them or get water on their bodies with the height of the new faucets.
Extremely disappointed and have been a member since it changed over from NW Athletic, which we have been told by a manager of a certain department that they do not value 30 year members over new members. So much for loyalty.

I was a member of Life Time for over ten years and overall my experience was great early on but faded over the years. Going into 2022 I cancelled my membership for two main reasons.
1) Increased rates and reduced hours. I understand that the pandemic stressed the economy but personally I did not want to start paying a higher monthly fee for a membership that gives me less access to the club than previous years.
2) After being a member for over ten years, I felt zero appreciation for my loyalty to the club. There was not even a simple "thank you" or any sort of acknowledgement that my family's business was important to Life Time.
All and all it is a good gym. The equipment is nice and there is a variety of classes and benefits. However, once I decided to leave Life Time and started looking at competing gyms I quickly realized that there are a lot of new places out there that are eager to value their members and have a more palatable price point.
