Great lifetime but their weights are the most disorganized of any Lifetime I have been at. They really need to have someone walk through to straighten things out at the end of each night. Its annoying to have to constantly unload weights off the rack to get to the weight I need.

I have always enjoyed lifetime until recently. I have had a membership for 12 years for the Lakeville club but recently my daughter has gone to the apple valley location since it’s more convenient for her. I received an email about Apple valleys holiday hours which was odd because I have only received information from lakeville. When I went on the app it showed I no longer had access to the Lakeville club unless I upgraded my membership. I called the Lakeville
Club to see what that is and they told me it’s because I hadn’t gone in awhile and so it changed my access to the cheaper gym since I was on a founder membership so for me to have access back to the club I have always belonged to my dues would DOUBLE. I don’t think that’s ok at all. I was never notified that my club access would change and I don’t see if I pay for access to multiple clubs it would change when I take advantage of that and go to a different location. Needless to say I cancelled my membership because I think it’s utter bs and horrible business practices.

Lifetime is for the same people that love Apple products and want more than just a "gym." Lifetime sells a lifestyle, where they want you to come and just hang out.
No thanks.
I don't need to be a part of a community, I don't need you to sell me a lifestyle or merch. I don't need a salon, juicebar and cafe at the same place I workout at. I also don't need or want to be surrounded by 20 somethings sitting on equipment for 30 minutes because they are taking 4 min breaks between sets...or working out in full makeup because the goal is to be seen working out, not actually putting in work. Also, WAY too many kids.
Lifetime is great for the suburban soccer mom set that really use the gym as a way to get out of the house and socialize or the dads that want to play around on machines to make them feel better after a night of pounding garage beers. It's just not my deal.

I like the friendly staff at Lifetime, and the pickleball courts. But I recently joined another gym in addition to Lifetime for the red light therapy. I also discovered machines that felt more comfortable and easier to use. I’m also shopping Pilates because Lifetime costs more even though the room often sits empty. Why not give Signature members a deep discount on Pilates? An unlimited and flexible monthly pass would be ideal if the price would compete with other studios. I prefer a one stop.

I had the absolute best spa experience at Life Time, all thanks to Liv! From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely welcomed and at ease. She’s incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable—clearly someone who’s passionate about what she does and genuinely cares about her clients.
The spa environment itself was beautiful—calming, clean, and relaxing with the most amazing scent in the air. The waiting area was cozy and inviting, and I was even offered refreshing flavored water while I waited. Every detail made me feel pampered from start to finish.
I came in for eyebrow shaping, and I can honestly say… Liv exceeded every expectation. My brows have never looked better—she shaped them perfectly and with such precision and care. I walked out with the hugest smile :).
I will never go anywhere else for my brows. The drive is truly worth it for me. Liv has absolutely earned a loyal client in me. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, warm, and truly gifted at what they do, go see Liv. You will not be disappointed!

I’m a big fan of Lifetime, and I’ve had positive experiences at other locations. However, my recent visit to Lakeville LT left me feeling unwelcome. The man working the desk at the kids’ club was incredibly unpleasant to both my husband and me. We were only 12 minutes late, which I understand can be frustrating, but we were still within our reservation window. Despite this, he treated me as if I was incompetent and scolded me like a child. It was our first time at this location, and I’m likely to take our business elsewhere. I prefer the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Rosemount LT.

Lifetime Fitness Lakeville has many things to offer. They are conveniently located and offer off-street parking also handicapped ♿️ parking. The pool area's indoor & outdoor are amazing. Pickleball courts are great. Basketball 🏀 is always Great fun with "Coach Orr" who is a legend of quality and kindness at this Club. 😀 Please have a look at my photos of this club from May 2025.

I usually have a great experience at Lifetime, especially with the people working out there — they are incredibly sweet, helpful, and welcoming. However, the front desk staff at the Lakeville location is a different story. My husband has mentioned several times that they come off as sassy and disrespectful, and unfortunately, I had a similar experience myself.
When I walked in, I was able to scan in and head toward the gym, assuming everything was fine. Later, I found out I didn’t actually have access to this location. When I spoke to the front desk staff, I expected some guidance — maybe information about a day pass or help finding a club I do have access to. Instead, the staff member kept repeating, “You don’t have access here,” over and over again, in a very dismissive tone. I even asked, “But my card went through?” and she replied, “It did, but it didn’t…” — which only added to the confusion.
I felt extremely uncomfortable and ended up just leaving. It was a disappointing and awkward experience that could’ve been easily avoided with a little courtesy and clearer communication.

I am incredibly disappointed with this location. I prefer going to workout at night and I can’t even believe how awful the environment is. There is always yelling and swearing in the locker room. I can’t relax in the sauna or steam room without a group of guys coming in and being absolutely inconsiderate. The workout floor is a mess. There have been times where I would go to a piece of equipment and it’s dirty, off balance, or not functioning. There are other times I would approach and use a piece of equipment and I would be stopped by another member telling me they are using it, but they are using another piece of equipment. It’s loud, it’s not spa-like at all. The quietest places were the studio spaces. Being so convenient to my house, it is terrible that this location is so awful. This location is one of the worst in my opinion.
Lifetime really is priceless gouging their members. High prices for crappy clubs and disrespectful members.
I hope Minnesota opens an Equinox some day. Their clubs are nicer, cleaner, and have much stricter standards. Lifetime is an embarrassment.

Nice facility with quality equipment but it’s too cramped. Every machine is ten inches away from the next machine. Dudes also take full court pick-up basketball way too seriously and ruin the entire experience of playing. I’m definitely paying too much to come to this gym.
I’ve been to almost every LTF in the state and I will say that members who work out at this gym are the least considerate I’ve come across. They will drive straight through the crosswalks in the lot and almost nail you with their vehicles.

He looked at me weird like I can’t afford it I’ve been a customer since 2021 and I just cancel my membership. They are the worst people to give business. They need to train the employee better because they don’t have no customer service. I’ve been a customer since 2021 and probably my kids only been there about 30 times I’ve been paying them $312 every month for four years. And this is the way they treated me run away build your own home Jim because that’s what I’m about to do it

Lakeville LifeTime has gone down hill since we were members last summer. We cancelled our membership because we were paying almost $400 a month and couldn’t justify it. We went yesterday for a “day pass” with the family which was also expensive. So many things are broken and out-of-order. The pool was so freezing cold the kids were shivering with their lips turning blue. The cherry on top was when we put some shoes, sweatshirt and sunglasses in “secure” locker in the family room, it was stolen with no staff being able to help us locate it. It all helped remind us why we are no longer members there.
Just a word of caution to any other families out there. If you have good experiences there, I’m glad, we did at points with their swimming lessons but it doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Their policies around membership management are anything but customer-friendly. While they allow members to upgrade their memberships conveniently online, they do not extend the same ease for cancellations. Members are required to provide a 30-day notice to cancel their membership, and the process must be completed in person or via a cumbersome method—a stark contrast to their streamlined online upgrade process.
This approach feels deliberately restrictive and unfair. It’s evident that Lifetime Fitness prioritizes making it easier to charge members more money while creating unnecessary hurdles for those who wish to leave. Such practices reflect poorly on a company that markets itself as customer-focused.

Definitely going downhill.
As other reviewers have said the showers are dirty especially the floor and ceilings. The workout areas have a lot of dust in the ventilation piping.
The outdoor hot is usually broken (either temp or jets).
They do keep increasing the prices which when you sign up they say is locked in, even front staff said they thought prices were locked - so definitely a used car sales gimmick. GM only says they will retain even the staff said he lied.
Overall a lot of equipment, carpet, lighting, tiles are showing their age. Needs a major renovation. But that will probably come with a huge price increase. Too bad the city didn’t do their own rec center. Not a lot of other options.
Also painful for the price that that add another 3% if you want to use credit card.

My wife and I get a great workout in, and then go to the Cafe in the winter and fall, or the pool in the summer and have a drink before we pickup the kids.
The pools are great for kids and swimming, the exercise equipment is plentiful and well-maintained. The staff is awesome too!

Been going here for 3 years. Here’s what I have noticed. Front desk is very friendly. All these complaints about them seem to have 1 thing in common. They wanted an exemption to the rules and didn’t get it. Follow the rules as they are stated rules are rules. You aren’t special. Front desk knows me and many others by name. Love them. They’re great. They deal with lots of people lying to them to get in on guest passes. I see it all the time. People go as far as to argue with them over it. They’re just doing their job guys come on let’s be nice. As far as the gym it’s good equipment but it’s overly crowded and it took over 1.5 months to replace a leg press. One of the most popular machines here. Machines often are marked as broken and take forever to fix or replace. But i understand this is a business and obviously they want profits. So selling lots of memberships is only to be expected. Same reason they have more pickle ball courts now. Biggest issue truthfully is most likely related more so to the actual members of lifetime itself. People hog machines for far too long. Some people think it’s absolutely ridiculous if you take more then 20 seconds to rest before your next set and they tell you or insult you to hurry up. People won’t re rack their weights. They won’t clean up after themselves either. The issue is not the staff but most likely the members here. I hope lifetime will start to hold members accountable for their actions. Theirs no need to slam the 25 pound dumbbells on the floor guys my grandma can lift those and set them down as gentle as a feather. Lots of young kids obsessed with the gym which is great but please don’t spill your pre workout powder on the floor and make someone else clean it. While we’re talking about it stop forming groups of 5 around 1 machine and taking 45 mins on it. Staff is great. Management is good. People are not so great.

I recently joined Life Time Fitness Club, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The facility is nothing short of spectacular. It’s spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with state-of-the-art machines and equipment. Every corner of the club is designed with the member’s comfort and convenience in mind, making it a pleasure to work out here.
The amenities are outstanding. The luxurious locker rooms, complete with steam rooms and saunas, provide a perfect way to unwind after a workout. The indoor and outdoor pools are pristine and offer a great environment for both serious swimmers and those looking to relax. There’s also a full-service spa that offers everything from massages to facials, adding an extra layer of relaxation and care to the experience.
The staff at Life Time Fitness Club is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly and professional team members who are always ready to assist. The personal trainers are knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping you achieve your fitness goals. They create customized workout plans that are both challenging and achievable, ensuring you make the most of your time at the club.
The range of offerings at Life Time Fitness Club is unmatched. Whether you’re into group fitness classes, personal training, or solo workouts, there’s something for everyone. The variety of classes is impressive, including yoga, pilates, cycling, and HIIT, all led by top-notch instructors who keep the sessions engaging and motivating. Additionally, the club offers various wellness programs and nutritional guidance, promoting a holistic approach to health and fitness.
Overall, Life Time Fitness Club is in a league of its own. The combination of fantastic facilities, top-tier amenities, dedicated staff, and diverse offerings makes it the ultimate destination for anyone serious about their fitness and well-being. Joining Life Time Fitness Club has been a game-changer for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium fitness experience.

Front desk staff is extremely rude and racist. We came in to use the pool with a member as guests and had 4 children with us. Their front desk told us we couldn't use the guest pass after 4. It was 4:20. We asked to see the manager or give us an exception and instead of telling us to leave they called the police on us. Did not even give a warning. Other families around us were horrified. Why call the police over a small misunderstanding and a group with children?! Our 4 year old was so scared and the staff couldn't even look us in the face after the whole situation.

Good gym and friendly staff but cleaning doesn’t seem to be a priority at this location. The resistance training machines ALWAYS have thick piles of dust on them. Especially on the weight stacks. It’s a constant issue each time on just about every machine, so they obviously don’t get touched by any cleaning staff. I see staff deep cleaning at other locations, but not once here. And the results show. I would be embarrassed to show that equipment to perspective members. It makes you question the sanitation standards in other parts of the facility less obvious to the naked eye.

I love this gym and have been a LifeTime member since probably 2008. Anyways, great gym and most of the equipment is great, but your treadmills at this location are garbage and I know you know that. Warped walking/running belts - many of which make a noise every step you take which is repetitive (obviously) and gets super annoying. Many are missing or have broken cup holders, some have bad touchscreens, some have belts that slip (on the verge of starting to be dangerous) some wobble a bunch every step you take...anyways, it's time for reinvestment in the treadmills, or at the very least replace the belts and replace the ones that are in really bad shape. Thank you!

I've been going to Lakeville Lifetime for a few years now and it is slowly going downhill, primarily the studios and classes that they have to offer. One studio does not have functioning lights and has a sound system that works sporadically. The equipment that they do have to offer for classes is worn/broken and has an odor to it. There are times when classes don't have enough equipment for the slotted reserved slots as well. In addition, the classes fill up within 30 minutes of being posted and now some classes that were once free with a memebership are an additonal charge. Will update my review if changes are made.

We have been members for over 10 years in different parts of the US. We love that the Lakeville Lifetime is so close to our home, but have recently been disappointed at how equipment has changed and how classes have become a main focus. Its wonderful everything they offer, but not everyone takes classes and it’s disheartening and frustrating when you go to the gym expecting to get in a workout and you end standing around due to no available equipment either due to classes or excess amounts of people.
We also feel there needs to be a stricter policy for kids on the floor. We often see kids alone doing lifts improperly and they could get hurt. We are all for kids taking care of themselves and becoming strong, but safely.

This gym used to be amazing for families! They used to have a indoor soccer field. CEO came and of course only cares about money and decided to remove that for pickleball, but you have to pay for that. Used to have squash courts..at least some place I could go play with the kids...guess what they removed now. Used to have MMA room. Removed that.
So if you just want to swim or are able to work around the limited rock climbing hours or have young kids that won't get bored in the kids room, go for it. But as nice as the people are, this gym has lost it's care for any families and for the cost, I wouldn't recommend it.

Love it...Wish pool schedule were more clear on line..went to swim laps at 1230...fortunately I was finished @ 100 but the lap lanes were taken over with a class...that wasn't shown on pool hours...morning aqua class was 9 to 10

It's a solid gym. Been to many gyms before and this has it all in terms of machinery and more, only giving it a 4 because of the 24-hour open being discontinued and the time limits to the guest passes. The atmosphere is great and the gyms are big. But its just too expensive to buy a membership for 100$

Spend a lot of time here with the family. Love the camps, day care and swim lessons for the kids. Reformer pilates is additional fees but I love having daycare available while I work out. Worth the money if you can swing it.

Supply Demand obviously is on the lifetime side of this gym. Cost vs quality of all equipment and benefits and added costs for pickle ball and tennis is pretty high vs what you'd expect. No competition for lux gym allows them to price this way too.

I had bad experience purchasing membership from the staff in Lakeville that did not now how to do it proper, so after couple of days my membership got terminated due to internal system errors and no one was able to help me. I been told its common and I have to wait 24-48 hours . very frustrated.

All the concierge’s at this location are super rude and I’ve only ever seen the managers/assistants degrade their workers. I can tell they have favorite employees based off of their interactions with them and I will never go to this location again based off that alone. I encourage the owner to take a step back and see how their workers are being mistreated.

Toured the facility looking for a fitness center for both my wife & myself. It has everything & more than we would need or envision to meet our fitness needs including a beautiful pool, sauna hot tubs & children's water park area.

We joined Life Time three months ago and it's even better than when we first joined. It's a night and day difference between every other gym I have ever joined (LA Fitness, Xperience, Golds Gym, etc.). I actually enjoy using the hot-tub, sauna, and of course the steam room. The kids also really enjoy the Child Center and the activities they offer. One thing I have really enjoyed is the "online" programs you can join, like the 30x30 and 6 Week Shread. It's not cheap, but we find ourselves using a lot of the amenities and feel that it's well worth it.

I don't recommend going here unless you wear a mask -- I signed up last Sunday and got very sick with the flu, I've had to take two days off and still feel terrible. I'm confident it was from Lifetime because I hadn't done anything else last weekend.
