This Life Time location is one of their originals and is quite low key and chill compared to most.
Itβs a one level club that still offers a lot when compared to all the others though - only thing missing is no Life Cafe or Life Spa.
Fun fact: Itβs one of only a few Life Time clubs in the entire country that has a full size Alpha training room - complete with turf grass, climbing ropes, peg boards, a massive fitness rig with rings, wall balls and plenty of room for Olympic style weight lifting!
This location also boasts a separate and private GTX room that was recently remodeled!
There is an indoor lap pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Indoor walking/running track, Pilates, Cycle, Group Fitness, and Yoga!

This gym is hands down one of the most welcoming that I have been to. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with such positive energyβit really sets the tone for your workout. Isabella is always at the front with the warmest smile, and she truly makes you feel right at home.
I also have to give a big shoutout to manager Erica. Sheβs not only incredibly kind and approachable, but also extremely professional. You can tell she genuinely cares about every member and goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels supported, comfortable, and valued. Whether itβs helping with a question, checking in to see how things are going, or just being a positive presence around the gym, Erica really goes above and beyond.
The whole staff creates a friendly, inclusive vibe that makes coming to the gym something to look forward to. If you're looking for a place where youβll feel welcome and encouraged every step of the way, this is it.

Great club! Smaller than many of the Lifetimes, but i feel like that just makes it better. Equipment is well maintained, classes are top notch. There's a real environment of camaraderie in many of the yoga/strength classes that I have not seen at other clubs.
The employees are great as well! They help the members with whatever they can and seem to have fun doing so.

Nice people.. but the gym has a horrible layout. Free weights are crammed in a corner where it's always packed. Barely used machines take up most of the room.
There is a nice open area (alpha area) but it's constantly being used by classes (whom never put their stuff away). So essentially you pay $150 a month for a treadmill and a tiny corner of workout area.

There are a lot of great instructors within Lifetime Fitness.
But my favorite is Katie,
She is definitely one of the best group fitness instructor at Life Time Fitness
Her classes are a total game-changer β high-energy, super fun, and perfect for all levels. Katieβs passion and clear guidance make every workout amazing. πͺ
If youβre looking to get fit and have a blast, join her classes!

Definitely does not live up to the lifetime name with the hot water issues thatβs been going on for weeks maybe even months, freezing cold showers is not fun.

Been three weeks with hot water issues. Cold showers aren't worth the premium price. For a massive gym franchise, this is a ridiculous amount of time to fix a boiler issue. Corporate needs to do better.

Nice intimate location. Here's the story. Got in an initial fight with my family one day followed by subsequent events. I needed somewhere to blow off steam and get in shape for protection. I believe I ran (1) 5k everyday for (5) years straight. No days off through the flus and all. Ran a few races in Plymouth to document my progress. To make a long story short I maintained functionality by walking through the cities, all seasons. Just got another membership back there, too! Hopefully my families staying up on their own fitness. I'll always stay up on mine. #always and #forever #maintenance

This is by far the best LifeTime Iβve ever been to. The staff and employees greet you In and out of the door, make small talk and talk to each other. A good gym is one you can walk into and just tell right away by the staff members.
Thereβs always someone cleaning the locker room, vacuuming the floor, or refilling paper towels. The gym smells GREAT and is always clean!!! This Lifetime is the only one that has the most equipment for mobility, CrossFit, or just strength training.

I've been a part of several local gyms, and this is by far my favorite. Everyone is friendly, you feel like you belong to a community, the staff are fast to learn your name, the classes are wonderful, and the environment feels judgement free. It's always sparkling clean, and people socially distance well enabling me to have felt safe coming here during the pandemic.

They let anyone in with a day guest pass without showing IDs. Then that person steals $600 worth of belongings and when the police show up they donβt even show them the cameras to check the person. They donβt have a general manager to talk to because the spot is vacant and when you call corporate to complain they hang up on you 3 times when you tell them you have a complaint. Good luck trying to expand the business when itβs run like this.

I love going to Life Time! They keep the space clean, the staff always greet you with a friendly welcome, and I love the group classes as most of the trainers are very supportive, encouraging, and provide challenging and fun exercise. (AMP Cycle, Shred, Strictly Strength, and Yoga. Hoping they bring Zumba back because that is a favorite too!)
The price is around $70 month which is amazing because you have access to all their classes everyday, minus the super specialized ones, which if you go often you definitely are getting a great deal. Before I was paying that monthly price for about 1-2 classes a week elsewhere and now I can take as many as I want. Which I like having the diversity of changing things up if I need to try something different.
The gym itself is modestly sized and has what you need like a track, pool, showers, spacious locker room, complimentary towels, and lots of equipment. I was excited to find out I did not have to buy a lock to lock my stuff up, they have them already installed. Overall very convenient.
I like the vibe of this gym a lot too because it is not overly crowded or a ghost town and from what I can see, everyone there is respectful and is focusing on working out and having fun. They have a separate room for child care so you won't often see crazy kids running around on the floor or locker rooms which is nice.
When the pandemic hit, Life Time was very transparent and quick to take action to make sure their members are taken care of and safe. Everyone of course wears a mask and they sanitize all the stations and equipment for you. Classes are reserve only and people are spaced away from eachother. If being physically at the gym makes you nervous they also offer online classes both live and pre-recorded.
Overall a great gym to be part of and place that I enjoy going to!

(New Hope) I appreciate how the club is handling the Covid crisis so far while still being open. Although my rating also has to do with fellow Minnesotans doing the right thing and wearing a mask even while working out.
This a mentality that is being actively encouraged (through positive reinforcement) by the staff and I think through this they're navigating the potential social static gracefully.

This gym is ok in a pinch.. I attended AMP cycle which was great but the cycle room itself is snug, an odd shape and feels claustrophobic. The fans either werenβt working or were not on which made it Feel more claustrophobic.
Gym... also a weird set up. A track encircles the gym so thereβs no mirror where you lift and the actual equipment is missing key pieces. There is no standing hack squat w plates, no smith cage. They only had open cages and I didnβt have a spotter.
There is no ankle clasp to do gluete or hams on the cables either. Itβs actually a really difficult gym to get a full leg workout. For a mainstream gym and brand, Iβm surprised basic βgymβ equipment was missing.

I really enjoy this LifeTime Fitness location. Why?
1. Locker rooms are clean and professional.
2. Running Track.
3. Whirlpool, Sauna & Steam room.
4. Weight room is really nice.
5. Alpha (CrossFit) training room.
Overall, itβs a really nice club. Even though this is a Bronze club, I actually prefer this New Hope location to many of the gold clubs. In fact I downgraded my membership level because I didnβt see the value in paying extra when this club offers everything I need. I highly recommend this club. My only complaint is that itβs not open 24 hours.

I had myself transferred to my mom's fitness account two years ago, and it was everything I expected it to be! The trainers and instructors are awesome and provide the most fun group fitness and training sessions there is to offer!
I mostly go to Monica's classes when I'm able to. I would say she's passionate about fitness and wellness; she always encourages me to do my best in class as well as everyone else. I would recommend her classes for people who want to challenge themselves.
Customer service and maintenance does a great job too! Everytime I come to check in, I always receive a welcoming smile and good service. The locker rooms are always clean and organized! They always do an exceptional job cleaning the place up if it needs to be done!
All in all, this is a phenomenal health club! If you're looking to get a good workout and make yourself a better person, New Hope LifeTime is the place to go!

Extremely pleased with this Lifetime. Although this club is Bronze level, it is by far the cleanest one I've been to. Small but very complete fitness club. They have a running track, pool, child center, fitness rooms plus clean and well appointed locker rooms. While on vacation, I come here as a guest several days a year. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They have a very dedicated group of members as I see the same faces every time I visit. The faithful line up at 5am by the door waiting for the club to open the door. The trainers all seem like a professional group...

[updated]
The New Hope only option is quite a bargain. My background is in Olympic weightlifting, and they have an "Alpha Studio" that is comparable to gear at a CrossFit gym, only that the gym membership is much cheaper. I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for one thing.
The employee who handles new and exiting members has shown the worst customer service I've ever seen. He has over charged my monthly membership and ignored my emails. It wasn't until I contacted the general manager that this one employee got himself together.
Afterwards, though, when I tried to end my membership with over a months notice, this employee sent quite an aggressive email. I informed the general manager once again and he seems like he's going to handle things, but this one employee has left a stain on New Hope's LT club.
Overall, I still say this is a great gym. Aside from the one employee, the desk monitors and other employees were very friendly. The Alpha room equipment is great. I'd hate to give a great place a low review, but customer service matters, and this guy was highly unethical and hard to work with.

The facility is decent and clean, but the design is a little weird. We have been members for a long time, but that may come to an end due to deceptive business practices. When I was unable to complete 4 training sessions that had been paid for, they refused to credit the money back. The excuses, runaround and arrogance is hard to comprehend. I have not set foot in this particular facility again because of the bad experience.

I have only been there for a month and it is a great gym BUT I am new to working out and I expected to be shown how to work certain equipment and they never showed me. 1.) The showers are basically prison showers. No dividers or curtains basically one big shower that everyone goes into at the same time. Not a fan.
2.)The weight room has been expanded recently, causing me to upgrade my review. They added an extra room that has all new equipment that is great for crossfit and olympic weight lifting, and a more private workout. Basically there will always be enough squat racks as long as they are not using the room at the moment which has not been a real problem so far.
3.)My biggest complaint besides the showers and the primary reason I do not use this club more often even though I live close to it is the schedule the club operates under. It is not a 24 hour club like all of the other locations, not sure why. I do not drink or party on weekends hence I like late night workouts and will route them to Maple grove or Plymouth quite often.

This is a well-maintained Life Time location which offers limited choices in equipment and space. For me, there are squat racks and bench presses and dumbbells, which provides enough for my resistance training, and the short walking/jogging track around the perimeter offers some cardio. The other guests seem happy with the machines (which I don't use), and I remember having a positive response from a team member when I asked a question. This location has no swimming pool, no basketball court, and only one class area which isn't fully private, and the showers have no wall or door barriers ("prison-style" some say but which I don't mind). Overall this location can work well if your exercise variety is limited to the amenities.

This gym seems a like a couple levels higher than a bronze. Very well maintained. Many options for exercise equipment. Helpful staff. Never overcrowded. Friendly atmosphere.

Like everything except the wide open showers. Layout of gym is very nice. Would like a speed and heavy bag somewhere in the place for 5 stars, I mean they are just two little pieces of equipment.

Their General Agreement is very deceptive when they sell it to you, be very careful if you choose to sign their agreement and make sure you read it carefully.

We have been members for quite a few years. I joined for the hydro-training classes, the times fit my schedule. We have found instructors (Angie, Marie, Shanna, Oksina, Joy and Laurie) at numerous clubs (New Hope, Plymouth, Fridley, St Louis Park, Maple Grove) to be personable and very supportive of of our work out goals. They have always been encouraging, as in try new classes, new routines programs available. Oksina in Plymouth has placed orders on line for swim shoes for many many participants. (A very time consuming process she does outside of her time working at Lifetime.) I love this gym and am grateful everyday I belong. We always come home to the New Hope gym for our workouts. The manager (Lindsey) has gone beyond our expectations on any issues we have had. Daphne, the nutritionist (I think is her title) has been helpful on our journey to discover new ways of eating. Because of all this support, we have started working with a personal trainer (Elliot). We have found you get out what you put in and our experience with the New Hope Lifetime has been a win-win for us. We love the options of being able to go to any of the gyms. I would like to add, a Thursday or Friday night hydro class would be really nice. Thank you.

Don't give these guys your phone number or email as they will spam you to death, even after you tell them to stop calling you. It's always the class-less businesses that do this! And every ten minutes they play some of their company commercials on their radio system so you have a choice of being bombarded with repetitive commercials or get a set of ear-phones... 90+% of those going to LTF have headphones... so there is little to no socializing at the New Hope location.
The staff is mixed for being polite and friendly. A while back i stopped and asked a woman fitness coach for a jump rope when she was sitting at the desk and she said they were up at the front desk. Even though someone gave me one from that same desk drawer two days prior and then again two days later (from someone different). I told her itβs right in that drawer just open it and checkβ¦ she would not even open the drawer. For some reason the fitness coaches find being helpful difficult as she is not the only one to be obstinate when asked for a jump rope. As a side note jump ropes cost $2, why not leave them out in the first place. It seems really odd when you have employees and they do not understand who it is who pays their checkβ¦ that would be the customer.
When a business does not treat their customers well, I go elsewhere and why would you spam, cold call and run commercials to paying customers! The equipment and offered classes are very good for the price. But for me it's not worth going to a gym if the atmosphere is wrong and company policy continually finds ways to irritate you.

I think this place is small, but very well maintained for a Bronze-level gym. They have state of the art treadmills, which I found rather amusing and entertaining. The staff seemed very nice and helpful, locker rooms clean. Would go to this one again.

I am a member of lifetime fitness for years. I just moved to this place (Crystal) a couple months ago. This place look fantastic but Sauna and steam room are lacking of maintain. If you get a chance, please step in the back of swimming pool, you will smell it. I don't know who is the suppervisor of this location. Get some work done or you lose more customer.
