i have a construction business in plymouth and one of my estimators commutes from Maple Grove. one of the perks of the job is that we get to workout together at lifetime one time a week.

i approached the GM about giving me a local rate indicating to him i was willing to pay for guest passes every week (about $80 per month at the local rate).

he offered no flexibility and tried to get me to get a monthly membership.

as a direct result of his trying to gouge us for another $100 per month he is potentially going to lose our family members (around $400 per month) and i am going to pass on getting physical training for my wife and i which we were planning to do for a year (think $10,000-$12,000).

this is an example of when people are penny wise and relationally foolish. exchanging $1200 in hoped for profit for $15,000 in lost profit annually.

way to go Tim.

Lowkey nice place but staff kinda rude and there’s that one older staff member that always stares at me. I try to go on the days he doesn’t work just to avoid him but it’s getting inconvenient. Dress code is not enforced.

EDIT: changed review from 2 to 4 stars after they moved the older staff guy to towel desk

EDIT 2: switched to 3 stars because lack of dress code getting outa hand

EDIT 3: switched to 1 star front desk is super moody, disrespectful, and lost her cool when we asked too many questions. Lady with blonde hair and lip filler has a short temper.

I don’t know what this company is all about but I am not here for it. For starters, the manager Susie, Susanna, or whatever is really rude, not only to guests but also members. I take this as no surprise reading the other comments.

I came in maybe what was it? A couple Wednesdays ago and there’s a guest asking in the most respectful tone why the guest policy changed. This woman or whoever was hired to be a manager of this place proceeds to show aggression saying that it’s just policy. I’m sorry but I didn’t even know that but I also haven’t been a guest here in YEARS so why? Why be disrespectful when someone SIMPLY doesn’t know something? I for one am ashamed at what this place has come to.

THEN after they left the desk she referred to them as “stupid”. What kind of place are you running??

They seemingly delete comments if they don’t like them… The employees are lowkey rude but I’m not shocked with the way I’ve seen their boss interact with them. She started yelling at one of the employees because he made a mistake at something he did. I’m sorry but unless it’s life and death and he’s a doctor or nurse, there’s no reason you should act like that. Seriously, I hope they’re getting paid good because there’s no way ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I’d be an employee here. Whoever their ceo is needs to get to know their company better as a whole. I will never be a guest here again because I can’t get behind supporting this company in any way.

Are you high? Maybe just a little intoxicated? 179 a month? For poorly cleaned sweat filled equipment with rude snotty gym personnel? Maybe I missed something. It the cost to cover the ice cold pools? Or maybe the 15 dollar smoothies. Oh wait that’s extra sorry my mistake. Is it to fund the ceo and his and lawyers fees for temper tantrums around town? I’m so confused on where my money would go? I would love to come and hit the gym but I’m thinking more around 70-80 a month. Let me know when you have a sale or come back down to a price to justifies what you get. Best of luck. Tootles

Where to even begin..
Kids care is always booked.
Everything is adults only until 10am. They have a massive pool, but close the pool so 5 adults can swim in the deep end? Or 3pm on Saturday for private events? Awesome
Paying families all have to leave the pool at 3pm on a Saturday?
What is the point of even having a family membership?!
This place is terrible.
I still have yet to find a class worth attending and now the one amazing instructor they did have left

Rains every day all summer and the one 88 degree sunny Saturday they shut the pool down at 3pm. Man this place seriously sucks

So let me edit my review from above, they don’t shut down the pool at 5pm so a few adults can swim but at 3pm

The overall experience doesn’t justify the high price. The gym is extremely busy during most hours. On top of that, about a third of the cardio machines are out of order on any given day, which only makes the crowding worse.

For what this place charges, you’d expect well-maintained equipment and a better experience overall.

That said, the Kids Club is excellent—the staff is friendly, the space is clean and engaging, and my kids actually look forward to going.

VERY LONG REVIEW!!! PART TWO!!!

He involved Susan, who apparently is an assistant manager. Susan is probably older than me by a decade at least (and I’m in my 50’s) and the way she spoke was filled with an “antiquated nuance” that implied that I was “out of compliance” in some way. I was bewildered but totally expected no less…. I take a moment to explain to her that I felt that I was being harassed, targeted and discriminated against which she brushed off by telling me that my daughter was now “out of compliance” for not having a membership card. I even mentioned that maybe Andrew needed some diversity training which obviously fell short of being heard.

The associate that was legitimately helping me, ( I know his name is John by this time) my daughter and I dropped our jaws to the floor in disbelief! John stepped up in our defense and pulled Susan and Andrew into a nearby office to confer. I don’t know what he said to them, but they left. John helped us check out the equipment that we needed, came to check on us and realistically treated me like a valued customer and provided the service that my wife and I pay nearly 500 bucks a month for. John is literally the saving grace for this place. He spoke up when he saw something wrong and it didn’t matter to him that I looked different than the “regular” demographic.

I’m terribly disappointed, disgusted and hurt that this ridiculous incident has happened in front of my daughter, no less. But again, John showed up and helped dissipate a situation that was really beginning to feel a lot like racial profiling and discrimination.

Thanks again to John for being a compassionate human being and a couple of F-Bombs for all of those who just watched or participated in Andrew’s misuse of “authority”. My wife insists that he should be fired, I don’t like the idea of him losing his job at the gym BUT I do believe that he deserves a consequence and should NOT be allowed to deal directly with members.

EXTRA: My wife told me a bit ago (today is July 9th) that someone from the club called for me…I’ll update this post after I speak with them. Let’s bet money t

I’m going to say it straight up, there are just too many rules across lifetime as a collective business. I walked in around 8:00, and the man at the front desk says guest past expires after 7:00 every day. I drive twenty minutes each way to get here and my friend has a guest pass, and they can’t accommodate for me. I have working parents and this is just not an ideal situation. This is not the employees fault but a business problem and they are going to lose customers over time because of this. I even offered to pay to get in and they still denied entry. It’s like guys, letting one person in isn’t going to do anything. All it does is help your business and want people to come more. Overall these places are getting way to strict for what there actually worth, and need to be able to accommodate to there customers needs more. Very disappointed.

If you want to see no results.....then this is the place to go. If you want big or slim fingers and thumbs then this place will challenge you every time you visit. Yep, I am talking about the phone surfers at Plymouth Lifetime. 89% of people working out here are on their phones while just sitting on the machine, equipment, bench or while doing cardio. All of these people are getting a tremendous and serious thumb and finger pump workout. I assume they are video game athletes preparing for their next competition. It is truly exciting to watch them sit on pieces of equipment for 20 minutes and watching them work on their phones and then using the exercise machine, reluctantly, that they are sitting on....which is every ten minutes in between their phone sets. What is even better is the high school kids' that come in here and overtake the place after 3pm. A group of 5-6 kids will occupy a squat rack or piece of equipment for 45 minutes to an hour and try to lift weight that is more than a powerlifter works out with. It is truly great and amazing to see them do this with horrific form.

What's even better than the phone surfers and high school brats here at Plymouth is the fact that the staff DOES NOTHING to help put an end to this.

If your a serious phone user or video gamer then this place is definitely for you.

the instructor in the middle of the open floor is loud for no real benefit. The music used for instructs makes it impossible to use regular headphones. noise canceling ones only make it a decibel low. Why yell at the class when you are only a few feet away? I think the staff can come off super rude and condescending. I have came across a few that were very kind. But the ones I dealt with in the basketball area last week surly were not nice. I think explaining the rules to someone would be alot better then assuming a new person automatically knows all the rules in the basketball area. If my kids didn't enjoy spending time with thier friends I would have canceled instantly.

I lost my airpod case while working out. Eventually I realized this and pulled out my tracking app from apple and was walking all around the gym looking for it. It was 11pm, so there was maybe 3 other lifters and this old gray employee by the name Jason. I have been looking for a while at this point, and my app says my case is moving so someone has it. Airpods are stolen super often and mine have been stolen before, so I was worried this was the case. I go to Jason and ask if he has seen an airpod case. He stares at me angerly and says nothing while slowly pulling my airpod case out of his POCKET!! He didnt even think to try to find the owner, or give it to lifetimes lost and found. Just doesnt say a word and sticks it in his pocket. All I can say is odd. He handed it over but didnt say anything and was upset at the thought of me even asking if he has seen an airpod case. Usually this lifetime is great and I have great experiences here. This was not one of them

I was just complaining to my mom about Lifetime Fitness. Then come to read these reviews and everyone thinks the same thing.

Pro - the facilities are nice. The pool is awesome; my kids love the indoor and outdoor pool. The Kid's Center has great options. I love the vibe of Lifetime.

Con - most of the staff is rude. My kids take swimming lessons and it's a joke. I would say 1 out of 6 staff members are welcoming and friendly. I am considering quitting by this alone. Then I got an email saying they were raising my rates and I'm already unhappy.

This being said, I am considering going to the YMCA. My kids take the summer program there, which is amazing and established. The staff is friendly and personable. However, I am younger than your average YMCA goer and the pool isn't as awesome.

Came during the pool party and was planning on getting food ECT.. went to pay only to find out they don't accept cash in the bistro. So I cancelled my order and left. So just leaving before swimming to go someplace else to eat and don't plan on returning. Wasted day kids were disappointed but I wanted to take them someplace that had food & swimming so we are going somewhere else and moving forward I don't plan on keeping my membership. I like the facilities but if I cant pay for things like food with cash I will take my business elsewhere.

I wanted to add my home club is Edina and I never had an issue granted this was the first time in a while I brought the kids to something and I normally do get food but I wanted to see if it would something we could do more often. The whole experience soured me on Lifetime and since I would be taking advantage of these events or the dining I will cut my monthly gym expenses by about 95% and use that money to get memberships to places I can take the kids for food and fun.

Kids academy and summer camp are not safe and kids are unsupervised. A lot of accidents every day with the pile of disciplinary actions against kids. Kids can just disappear and the management wouldn’t know about the incident until next day. 16 years olds without any training are watching kids. Kids academy management is a joke. If Ciera is telling you “I got it”, you can be sure, noting is done :) I have to give them a credit for reimbursing me on time and canceling my membership without any notice. That is the only thing they took care off without any delays or mistakes.

The rest of the club is clean (as it can be with so many guests), people are friendly. Nice outside swimming pool. Wonderful front desk people.

Unfortunately, I can’t attend without use of Kids Academy, but the constant fear for my kids and their well being is not worth it.

I've been a Life Time fitness member for over 15 years, and started using the Plymouth, MN location in 2016. I stopped attending during the pandemic in 2020, but used the club a few times in subsequent years due to its proximity to my home.
I received notification of a rate increase 2 years ago in 2022, but still kept my membership to the club.
When I went to attend a class there last week I was told that my membership no longer allowed me to use the Plymouth location - even though I had been attending that location since 2016 and the person at the front desk confirmed that Plymouth was listed as my "home club" in their system. I was told to reach out to the membership leader at that club for more information. After several attempts to track her down, I finally was able to speak with her by phone. She sounded annoyed and bothered by even having to speak with me. She was rude and hurried, and informed me that they changed my membership in 2023 without informing me since I had not been to that club in a year. No notification was ever sent to me about this change and the person told me today that if I want to continue using that location my monthly dues would go up $30. It was unbelievable, no prior communication, and she sounded relieved when I said I might cancel my overall Life Time membership because of this. She (Susan Howe) couldn't wait to get me off the phone. What a horrible way to treat a long time customer.

I invited my cousin to join my kids and i for swimming at plymouth club on Saturday 7/13. I told him how is everything organized , clean and how the customer service are helpful.
We arrived there by 6.20 pm while we are checking in the lady at the front desk told us the swimming pool closed at 6 for Saturday.
What ? How and when??
I told here I always bring my kids on Saturdays, she said no its closed.
I opened the app and showed her the hours for Saturday family swim till 8 pm , still she is not listening or trying to help or call supervisor, just closed.
A family came while I was talking to her she told them closed and the left.
She said too many people came and think it's open till 8 pm.
So all these people are wrong and you the only one right??
Finally I looked at the pool and saw some kids swimming, I told her there are some kids swimming at the pool, she has answer for every thing without even verify it, she said they are adults!!!!!
What the heck you want me to believe you not my eyes??
I was totally off at that time. I told her ok we want to check in to set at the bathtub.

I went directly to the life guard at the pool and ask him tell what time you open for today, HE SAID TILL 8 PM.

I DONT THINK MY COUSIN WILL MENTION LIFE TIME TO ANYONE UNLESS HE WANT TO SHOW THEM HOW BAD EXPERIENCE HE HAD.

Thorough, professional, knowledgeable, personable and genuinely interested in my well being. The session was largely conversational, focusing on my general health, nutrition, sleep and exercise. Dear Life Time Center Community,

I am writing to seek your assistance regarding a recent incident that occurred at Life Time Center on 1/24/2024, around 7 PM.

During my visit to the gym, I accidentally left my size 10 QC iCloudX Orchid/Iron shoes somewhere within the facility. Unfortunately, when I returned the next day, they were nowhere to be found. I have already checked with the Life Time lost and found department, and they have confirmed that my shoes were not turned in.

The Orchid/Iron color of the size 10 QC iCloudX shoes holds great personal value to me, and their loss has been deeply distressing. These shoes are not only a functional necessity but also have sentimental significance. I am reaching out to the Life Time Center community in the hopes that someone may have come across my shoes or have information about their whereabouts.

If you have any knowledge of the location of my size 10 QC iCloudX Orchid/Iron shoes or can provide any assistance in locating them, I kindly request your support. I believe in the strength of our community and the compassion of its members, and I am hopeful that someone may have information that can lead to their .

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I am grateful for the sense of community at Life Time Center and remain hopeful for a positive outcome.

I'm at this point done coming here. $150 dollars a month and the restrictions are just beyond ridiculous to me for the price I pay. I come in tonight which is as a single father my only time to take my son swimming this week, only to be scanned in and have the front desk lady, ask with an attitude what I'm doing with my son. I tell her swimming and she just responds with "family swim time ends at 6". No anything resembling customer service. We didn't say another word to them and stood there discussing what to do. While standing right by the desk, the 2 ladies behind the desk started talking about us behind our backs, badmouthing us for not "reading or understanding the website", which does not explicitly say anything about kids not being allowed after family swim time, implied "yes", explicitly stated "no" Their attitude tonight when combined with the other bad customer service experiences we've had in the past with this club has made it that I won't ever give this company another penny. Whether that means anything to them or not I don't care. But I hope the management team sees this and trains their staff on what proper customer service is.

I finally joined the gym in Plymouth two months ago and use the indoor pool (not the lap one). The ceiling paint is cracked and chipped that are falling inside the pool water and appears to be lead paint peeling. There are multiple ceiling lights blown out around the pool and it would be nice if there was a dot (like a little red one) on the ceiling warning patron this is the edge of the pool. Sometimes I float on my back and I am not able to see that I am close until I bump my head. The clock over the lap pool needed a new battery and stayed at 5:45 for almost 2 weeks before it was replaced and this is an upscale country club? Overall, I am happy with the staff at the front desk that are so nice and responds with a smile and a welcome to lifetime everytime I visit the Plymouth location. The facility overall is well maintained, the ladies locker room and other areas are easy to use and I hope that I will be happy to be a part of Lifetime family for a long while except some amenities clearly states no children under the age of 12 in certain areas and that means everyone else kids but not applicable to my kids. I saw a child @ 8 years old in the whirlpool without adult supervision and no one from staff is there to remind parents that the sign means everyone must adhere to the rules that Lifetime has in place for a reason.

Definitely not my favorite Lifetime location. We live pretty much right between this location and New Hope, and I like the small cheaper new-hope location better. This location is theoretically much nicer than the New Hope one, so I would prefer to go here (since I am paying for it), but it's so busy that it doesn't really matter. The weight floor needs to be at least double the size at this location.

Also, a large portion of the patrons here on any given day are high-school-aged boys who just kind of wander around getting in everyone else's way. I assume parents just drop their kids off here to keep them busy, but as a working professional and parent I have a very limited amount of time to get a workout in, and they make it much harder to get on benches, racks, machines, etc.

4 stars because its still lifetime and way better than LA or anything else around.

It's a nice looking gym. However, my problem is that it is way too busy. You really have to go at certain times to be able to use some equipment. The last time I went, I couldn't get a parking spot, and people were parked against the curb. For $130 per month, it doesn't make sense, and they are not open 24 hours.

This location has a great use of the indoor and outdoor pools, but the weight floor is for lack of better words: trash. The free weights are missing all 2.5 weight plates, they only have a handful of other weight plates in stock leading to wait times for equipment, and the layout isn't ideal for an efficient workout. I would recommend Crosstown in Eden Prairie, Highland Park in downtown St. Paul, and Bloomington south as alternative Lifetime locations.

In all honesty, when we joined lifetime about 5 years ago I was super skeptical. We joined because my husband was really into it but I was out of shape and counted myself as a person who would "never work out in public".

I did a lot of literally hiding in corners and sort of doing my own thing. The game changer was when I got up the courage to go to one of the free group fitness classes. I started taking their SHRED class which is a 45 minute full body workout (Christine on Tuesday mornings is AMAZING!) Over the course of probably a year, I was inspired to totally change how I was taking care of myself and I lost about 30 lb.

Now I'm in the best shape of my life, including when I was young. I feel like I'm such a stereotype because now I'm one of those people who is addicted to going to the gym. 😉 I'm so grateful that we joined 5 years ago because it's probably the best change I've made for my overall health and longevity.

Several issues here: 1.) Hard to justify paying $170 per month for limited use of the facility (i.e, gym is constantly overbooked with different programs). Think about that, when you sell a membership don’t promote open gym when you know the gym is overbooked and oversold with different programs including birthday parties, pickle ball, and other programs. That alone is false advertisement and misleading. I get the end goal is to generate as much revenue as possible but don’t mislead paying members with false information.

Secondly, too many encounters with rude and confrontational staff. The front desk staff’s inability to explain their own policies (I.e., guest policy) to paying members is frustrating. If you need to charge extra for a guest I bring, just ask. But don’t accuse us of “strolling on in” without paying. Before making irresponsible statements like that, at the very least check the membership payment history. Do some due diligence. Ask clarifying questions, don’t just assume the worst by making false accusations and a scene.

Going into a gym shouldn’t be as complicated as you’ve made it out to be.

So let me get this straight… I have to add my 1-year-old to my membership for like $30 a month (which is already outrageous) - but I can’t bring him to the pool because it’s adult only on weekdays? Ridiculous policy. You guys have a friggin water slide for kids. Horrible.

Shelley H. is an exceptional teacher who has truly inspired me to challenge myself. Her infectious smile and kind-hearted nature make her classes a joy to attend. I cannot recommend her highly enough - if you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, do not hesitate to do so! Shelley is a truly remarkable and her passion is truly inspiring. She creates a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and encouraged to grow. Overall, I feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to learn from her and I know that anyone who takes her classes will feel the same way.

So let me get this straight. It’s barely snowing outside and they decide to close at 8? Why? There’s literally 2 inches of snow on the ground. It’s about 7:30pm and I did stairs for 20min and wanted to go to sauna. I get in there and they tell us since the club is closing at 8, the pool and sauna are closed at 7:30. WHY? 130$ a month for this? 130$ a month for them to close at 9pm on weekend? Are you serious? What a joke this place has become. Lifetime use to be the pinnacle of gyms and now they just sign every person with a pulse to the point the club it is so packed you can’t even park or barely workout.

Response to lifetime: okay if you are closing early then why don’t you cut the price in half? You guys close way too early and don’t discount your absolutely ridiculous membership fee? Also, if you actually cared about the safety of your employees, you would close at 9pm everyday and not just the weekends. The reason you close the club early on weekends is to save money since there is less traffic yet do not pass any savings to any member.

Hi, I used to go here a lot and I really liked it. They had good equipment and lots of towels. They also had a sauna/hot tub and pools. The workers were very chill. Some of the members were a little weird and didn't (did not) really know how to lift, but they were doing their best. Other than the occasional strange member using equipment wrong when you are trying to use said equipment, I enjoy. Bless.

The gym is good with latest equipments but I experienced a very bad customer service with Adam. He gave me a false information at the time of joining and when I cancelled my membership we came up with a different policy which had no refund. While talking to him at the time of joining he said just the opposite of that policy. So my recommendation is that please read the agreement before you sign.

Extremely unpleasant experience today for my wife taking kids to their swim lessons. She was accused of trying to Check in as someone else who was a member when all she did was to get kids to their lessons. When someone doesn’t know the process, it’s up to the front desk team to make people understand. When called up to talk about the issue, the manager on site was pretty much accusing us saying she “caught” her in the process. For a club passing of as premium in its category, we expect the experience to be much better.

I’m not sure why other people have rated this gym so poorly. This Lifetime is great!!! One of the best features is the diving pool that is 13 feet deep. They have tons of swimming lanes and the oversized hot tubs were perfectly clean and very relaxing. The staff was totally top notch and were friendly in every way possible. I’m hoping they will have me as a guest again when I come to town because it was a perfect experience from start to finish.

The pool area and locker rooms are always dirty. I’m fact filthy at most times. Much of this space is also neglected for maintenance. Once was a great gym, now falling apart and rotting. Yet the membership costs more than ever. $120 a month individual membership for this wretched place. I will change over to the Y.

Gym that uses fine print to their advantage. Should’ve read the entire conditions before signing up. They won’t tell you when signing up initially, but if you cancel then you’ll get charged for nearly the full following month. “You have to cancel 30 days in advance”. What if I don’t know in advance?? Taking a customers money for services they did not receive is not ethical in my opinion. I can’t imagine charging my own customers for services I did not provide.
Edit: I did not sign up online, it was with the concierge. They did not mention it to me.

My family and I visit 3–4 times a week and we ALWAYS enjoy being here. The childcare staff are wonderful and the kids' programming is so terrific. My wife and I are working out with a personal trainer named Scott, and he's just the best. I spend most of my time either in the jacuzzi or on the workout floor. You can visit during the day and work on your laptop in the cafe if you want. Five stars all the way, bay-bay.

There are a lot better options for gyms. Especially for the price of $133. Outrageous for a gym that doesn’t offer 24/7 service anymore. The only perks were the pools and sauna. But unfortunately, the place is always dirty, locker rooms smelly. Wanted to use the pool the other night, that wasn’t going to happen after I saw the condition. I attached a couple of pictures. Canceled my membership. It’s mind blogging how this place clearly prints money with the staff cuts and hour cuts over the years things changing, and they can’t even keep it up to par.

2022/10/28: they've recently added a lot of new equipment that make it even better. It's nice to see a gym continuing to invest in customer experience.

This is a well-kept gym with impressive facilities, like an Olympic-size pool, plenty of machines and TVs, a large weight area with plenty of squat racks, and two full-size basketball courts. The only complaint I have is that the management does not seem to model outgoing, friendly interactions, although the personal training staff certainly does. My interaction with the general manager, Ashley, was over email and she did not invite me to meet her in person, although I think I've seen her, but I'm not sure (?) since I've only seen a picture of her. Over the course of a year I pay well into four figures to the Life Time Fitness company and I expect more than curtness. Other locations like Saint Louis Park, Maple Grove, and Bloomington South have management staff who are warm and welcoming as evidenced by the frontline employees' behaviors.

Several years ago, I was very underwhelmed by the Plymouth Lifetime. Staff at the desk were impolite, and it seemed like I was constantly being kicked off squat racks for classes that reserved half of equipment in the gym. However, this facility has really turned around recently. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and the equipment is much more usable. Would definitely recommend a membership here.

I used to love lifetime fitness. For the most part the atmosphere is great. But, some of it is not good at all. For the price, I feel like the staff should be more welcoming. I came in wanting to speak to the Concierge Manager which is Susan Howe. She was very rude. I was interested in switching memberships. But, she did not want to go over all of the options with me. When I joined Lifetime I met with the previous manager John and he was amazing! He explained everything, and I felt so comfortable spending this much money for the gym. He took me on a tour as well! I think Lifetime should do better.

The only good thing to say about this gym is it is certainly very profitable. It is far, far over capacity. 100+ dollars a month, (1300+/ year, premium right?) for a membership and every weekday between 4-7 it gets so busy you can't even walk through the gym, even less exercise. Have arrived, gotten changed, & walked into the weights area just to turn around and go home because I couldn't make it to the squat racks without basically kissing someone. Have more than once been stopped in the middle of my workout and kicked off of my rack for some class. Twice I have been locked out of my locker with no clothes while using the steam room, had to wait thirty minutes for a staff member trying to close the locker room to walk in to get my things and leave. Why was I there when they close? It's the only time you can actually exercise! Wanna use the climbing wall, but don't have a friend to come with you every time? It will be something like 10 dollars every time you go up and down the wall for a staff member to belay you. Want a smoothie from the "lifecafe"? Minimum 10 Dollars. Men's haircut from the "Lifespa"? Minimum 50 Dollars. Want to cancel your membership with this terrible business? You have to call them so some salesperson can offer you the chance to continue to give them 15 dollars every month to be on their marketing email list. Very nice looking place to be squeezed for every dollar.

So I've been gou g to Lifetime for 30 years off and on...sometimes it's been great and sometimes...ugh...in the last 6 months there have been such positive changes...the locker rooms are cleaner, with a great set up of toiletries being replenished often. Some people are maskless ...yet those of us who choose to continue masking even tho we're vaccinated...as in my case, are not looked at funny...I'm thrilled wylthe the addition of 2 kinds of ways to clean equipment being used as well....keep up the good work!!

I really like this gym. The facility is clean and well-equipped. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. I have been a member for 2 months. Here's why I give 5 stars:

1) On my first or second day, I locked myself out of my locker. Someone on staff, who I had to interrupt to get help opening the locker, came and opened it for me with a friendly and cheerful attitude.

2) A front desk staff-member has been so friendly and has remembered MY name (and my wife's name) and greeted me with it on every visit. I go by my middle name, so it's not the one she would see pop up with my membership. It's a shame I can't remember HER name right now to give her kudos!

3) Yesterday, I dropped a Christmas card (with cash in it!) on the floor without knowing it. I had to drive back to the gym to look for it. The front desk found it, held it for me, and the cash was still there when they gave it back to me.

These are three small examples that add up to an overall very good experience for me.

If I had one very minor nit-pick, it would be that there don't seem to be quite enough barbell spring collars floating around the free weights area (power racks and benches). I can always scrounge and find what I need, though.

I have been a member of this fitness facility for years and find it to be a wonderful "one stop shop" for almost anything you could want to do in terms of fitness. Especially in a wintry climate such as the one we have in Minnesota, large indoor areas where you can stay active are invaluable. The massive indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities are part of what sets this particular gym apart, although one should be aware of the fact that a local swim team also makes use of it. The gym can become very busy at times, so I had to experiment a bit to find a time that matched my own schedule but was not the busiest time of day at the club.

The manager on Duty, was unbelievably rude before any words even came out of her mouth. I will be coming back at another time to speak with another manager. I've never had such problems with any gym. I felt gross even before I started my workout due to the conditions of the locker room. I presume they don't have someone cleaning it regularly. I would recommend anyone who has a smaller/local gym near them to use them. I would be embarrassed if I were this company.

Welcome to lifetime fitness in Plymouth MN ,
The facility is located across the street from Plymouth City Center in a nice area :) , The facility is rather big and well-equipped , So you have lots of equipment to choose from despite the fact that the gym is normally busy busy :)
The vibe is very inviting as everybody is working out with passion and you see several professional guests (athletic).
It’s also a great place for guest coming in with family members, you will have fun :)
The only negative feedback I had was the fact that during my 2 1/2 hour workout none of the operational employees did check the sanitizing wipes containers that had depleted causing guests to have a walk to the last two that were working :(
Other than that we really enjoyed our workout , THANK YOU Life Time Fitness.
