I’m really enjoying the update, even if it’s on the minimal side. Parking is still atrocious; no surprise given the entitlement we all know too well in this area (so many ‘alpha males’ and oversized egos, lol). The patio refresh looks fantastic, though. The only drawback is when the corporate guy camps out there with the manager; it feels a little odd seeing guest seating used for work meetings or employee breaks.

Paying 165$ a month would be more worth it if I had a cold plunge and tennis courts. Be advised there is several photos on this Google business account that are not from this location it’s pretty small. Having said that that’s why people like coming here it’s very cozy and there’s not a lot of people. **Update**
They installed a cold plunge. This place is well worth the monthly dues

Life Time Fitness in Wayzata, located right off 101, is an incredible fitness destination that offers an amazing blend of luxury, functionality, and community. From the moment you walk through the doors, the friendly and professional front desk staff makes you feel welcome and valued as a member. The entire facility is spotlessly clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully designed, creating an environment that motivates you to push your limits and enjoy your time here.
The variety of equipment is outstanding—there are rows of top-of-the-line cardio machines, a wide range of free weights, strength training machines, and dedicated spaces for functional fitness. I particularly love the turf area for sled pushes, kettlebells, and dynamic movement drills. The indoor pool and hot tub are perfect for both recovery and serious swim workouts, and the sauna and steam rooms offer a spa-like experience after a tough session.
The group fitness classes at this Life Time are next-level. The instructors are energetic, knowledgeable, and create a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. Whether it’s yoga, cycling, strength training, or HIIT, every class feels like a well-thought-out, high-energy workout. The Life Time app makes it super easy to browse the class schedule, reserve a spot, and manage your membership.
The LifeCafe offers healthy, delicious options for post-workout refueling—everything from protein smoothies to full meals—and the LifeSpa services are a great way to unwind and treat yourself to a massage or facial. The childcare area is another standout feature, with a safe, clean, and engaging space where kids can play and learn while you focus on your fitness goals.
What truly sets Life Time Wayzata apart is the sense of community—it’s more than just a gym; it’s a place where people of all ages and fitness levels come together to improve their health and well-being. Whether you’re a serious athlete or just starting your fitness journey, this Life Time has everything you need.
Highly recommend Life Time Wayzata for anyone looking for a premium health club experience with outstanding amenities, excellent customer service, and a motivating atmosphere!

Shout out to the childcare center for a great experience today! It was my first day back in a long time and I dropped my 2 year old off for her first day. She loved it! Positive attitude and vibe from the staff - will be back!

I would give this specific location 3.5 stars. After going to west end St Louis park for a year I wanted to check this out. I would never pay more to come here..it's smaller, cramped, less equipment. Plymouth is even better. Especially if you are looking for bench/squat racks there's only several of them here.
Not a review of lifetime as a whole just this specific location which is not at all worth a higher payment

Staff are incredibly friendly. I told the lady at the front desk I was going to buy some water and come back and she went into the closed café and filled me a cup with ice.

I'm saddened to say that after 5 years of on and off membership at this gym, I've decided to depart due to a variety of reasons, price and value being chief among them. The facility used to be less crowded but with an increase in both population and prices, I can no longer justify my membership. Be advised, the membership here is an all in one model and covers everything, even classes and trainers I don't use with no way to select different member levels based on intended use. The facility is well kept and offers many comforts that are hard to find elsewhere, but saving thousands a year by going to another gym is something that shouldn't be ignored, especially if subsidized additionally through insurance. The reasons for me justifying the price no longer exist; I can pay for a Cancun or Big Sky trip every year just on the money I'll save. That's all from me, you make your own decisions.

I'd like to attend more yoga classes but the spots are to close together. I'm either being kicked in the head, kicking someone else or even a foot into the wall or hand in mirrors! It's ridiculous!

It's not a huge club, but it's great. Been coming here for years. Sign up early if you want to take a class; especially, Bruce C. He's great, so witty (to take the pain away), popular, and will work you hard! Laura also amazing. Actually, the entire staff is just great. Best gym I've ever been to.

Can people at this gym be any more snobbish and condescending? Or even WEAR THEIR MASKS OVER THE NOSE. One guy wore his mask around his chin as he talked on the phone whilst on bike. 3 employees went by and didn't correct the rule violation. Another guy wore a clear visor and no mask. When asked, an employee said "it was recommended by the CDC". Looked it up, & of course it's not recommended.

Usually clean and quiet- about the only good thing. Personal training staff is insufferable- on numerous occasions I have heard Personal Trainers employed by LTF make fun of, point fun at, or otherwise act totally unprofessional towards customers. Also, it is a small gym, and at peak hours, they have as many as 10 trainers using equipment! It makes it impossible to workout. I have complained to management more than a handful of times, and nothing changes. Unless you want to pay $140/month to get mocked, and not actually have access to equipment, this is your gym!

I enjoy coming here. The front staff always make a point to greet me and wish me a good day. This is a smaller club, however it's very nice. I love their hot yoga classes - they are so relaxing and most of the instructors dim the lights and have artificial candles around the room. The facility is clean, well-maintained. I especially like to come in after the evening rush (after 6-7pm) because of how quiet it is. The steam room is also more spacious than other ones I've seen.
Also, there is a smaller hot tub in the women's locker room. This is appealing to me because of the extra privacy in case I don't want to go swimming in the bigger pool.
I enjoy how genuine their customer service is and that they do not get aggressive with sales goals etc.

I just joined on Saturday 9/29/18. This place is like going to a posh resort. I had my first training session with Ashley and it was fabulous! (Thank you Ashley!)
I'm looking forward to exploring the classes. The equipment is clean and plentiful. The staff and members are enthusiastic.
So far so good👍

Impeccable facility, but group fitness schedules are tough. There are hardly any Pilates classes for people who hold standard working hours (I also don’t appreciate having to pay SO much extra for Pilates on top of my $150 monthly membership... it’s basically a second gym membership). The yoga schedule is better, but could also use more evening and weekend options across different skill levels/modalities. Despite the sauna (my favorite perk) and a fabulous yoga instructor (Monique), I’m leaving LT for Club Pilates down the street. It’s not nearly as luxurious but it has good instructors, plenty of evening/weekend classes to choose from and it caters to a busy, working clientele. The message I got from this particular LT was that I wasn’t waspy enough (i.e. didn’t have the free time or the extra cash) to get the most out of the group fitness classes I enjoy.

Love this Life Time location. Compared to others, this Life Time is smaller in scale and a bit more tranquil. Cool waterfall type structure as you descend the stairs to the locker room area. Can get some Lulu Lemon from the Spa, or go to the LifeCafe. Smaller weight area so some waiting if others using weight/machine you need.

The hot tubs are disgusting!! They are all stained and unsanitary. The same 2 used bandaids by the lap pool have been sitting there for weeks. I also noticed a hair clip and rubber band that sat in the shower area for several days, which makes me furious I pay $150 per month for a diamond level club that is far from it!! Cleaning is not a priority and towel bins are often overflowing.Very disappointed and plan on going somewhere else!! Not recommended!

The facility is very nice and well taken care of. From what I gather from my wife, the female trainers are very good. My experience with the male trainers has been less the satisfactory. I realize they are with clients, but when you ask if they are done with something they give you these really snide looks and cop an attitude. Typically I like to get in and get out, but they are always approaching you telling you that you are doing something wrong. I have been working out for about 15 years with various trainers and know the movements. They will usually try to catch you when one of your reps just wasn't right and tell you you need a trainer. It is truly annoying. I would avoid getting a male trainer here. The pool area is nice. There is a small open pool and slightly longer, but not as wide, lap pool (only two lanes). The swimmers here seem pretty polite and are willing to share lanes. Though, it can get really tight.
