Definitely the best gym in the whole Midwest. The equipment is all Panatta and Atlantis, top of the line and the most dumbbells and free weights in Minnesota. If you want to work out with the most serious lifters in the state with the most advanced equipment, this is the gym you want to be at!

Very large, open format gym that has all the equipment one would need from a serious beginner to start working out to a competitive body builder who needs the right equipment to build the body they want.
There is also ample parking there. Update, while there is ample parking, some people park over the line, then hit your vehicle when they open the door. What shocks me, for a newly painted parking lot where 75% of the people drive suvs, the size of the parking spots are for the tiniest of cars.

Gym is great, but would be nice if they banned fragrances. I get not wanting to be smelly but it's a gym, ppl sweat, and I would think people understand that.
But holy moly I can hardly breath in there as of late. I feel like it's been getting worse.

This is hands down the best gym in the Twin Cities. Their equipment is elite, the layout is elite, the lighting is absolutely top tier across the gym, the show room has nice angles, etc. the only thing I wish they had is a sauna!

Definitely Best gym in Minnesota and serious arguments for THE BEST GYM IN THE NATION! This argument is also included with the Los C, Ultra Black Gym in St. Paul, a serious lifters/bodybuilder pro/gym.
I sincerely thanked Ben personally for giving what the Twin Cities has needed and been missing for many decades. A hardcore weight lifting gym with state of the art equipment that has multiple exercise equipment for each body part. The equipment list is toooo much toooo list here. They also have a massive gym space with all the things you need to accomplish your goals, be it Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, MMA or just Staying Fit.
MN Gym History: back in the 80-90's Northwest Racquet Clubs monopolized the Twin Cities, then they sold out to Lifetime Fitness that definitely MONOPOLIZED the Twin Cities. They have always had high enrollment fee's and very expensive monthly fee's....and still that has not changed in 2025. If you have a family and are not looking to improve your fitness goals then you go to Lifetime for the pool, basketball, rock wall, daycare and other amenities that 63% of members use, and I assume now you pay extra to use each one of those amenities. After 20 years (I have/you have) you see the same people working out....with no results...so I would call Lifetime the best 'Maintaining your fat physique' gym in the World.
Ben (Owner of Los C gyms) has made such an amazing impact and difference for people in Minnesota, and now Nationwide to go to a place just to workout, with no pool, sauna, rock wall, that you pay extra for at Lifetime. Ben has also made his gym's very affordable and has really stepped up his Merchandise game which is extremely cool swag to wear.
Please help me to nominate Ben for Kare 11's TV channel. A program they have is called "Eleven Who Care." Ben has not only helped us people find a great place to workout, he has also allowed other options for lifters so we cannot be monopolized by big box business companies....he has also created business benefits for the cities his gyms are located, purchasing sometimes slightly rundown, empty buildings and renovating them. A huge impact for city business development and environmentally not wasting or tearing down buildings before their time. Ben has made such a significant difference for all of us and its time for him to be acknowledged for all of his hard work.
Shout out to Evan: (General Manager/not sure of his title?) runs the BC location and has been with Los C for quite a while. I have seen Evan at E.P., Ultra, and Northeast gym and he makes each gym better for members. Evan has done a lot of hard work for us to have such great gyms to train at as well. Next time you see him, thank him for his efforts, he deserves it.
All in all, I have trained pretty much everywhere in the Twin Cities and Los C is the best gym you will ever find regardless of what location it is.

To start out, this gym is incredibly spacious and has so much equipment, you’re faced with little to no time to wait for a machine/weights you need.
Unfortunately I’ve been disappointed with this location. It’s 5 mins from my work, so getting a workout done in the morning with a short commute is awesome. But the low lighting, LOUD music, and snappy/rude staff make it hard to enjoy going to workout. Even with noise cancelling headphones I can hardly hear my music, or hear a friend when I see them there.
Watch out for the worker with bright red hair. She recently yelled at me for not putting an attachment away that I was going to use, and was quite bothered/rude with my friend who needed to freeze her account before surgery.
I’ve never heard the music so loud at other Los locations, let’s hope this changes for BC.

I’ve been training at Los Campeones for about 4 years now, and overall it’s still a solid place to work out. One of the biggest gains for me over the last year, however, has been the Los Campeones Grappling Club—so it’s incredibly disappointing to see the program being folded after not even giving it a full year to run.
I started training Jiu-Jitsu here in January, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made to step out of my comfort zone. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have experience, the club offered an amazing environment to grow both physically and mentally. The program pushed my mindset and discipline while giving me an incredible workout. It wasn’t just about technique—it was about confidence, mental toughness, and consistency.
Huge shoutout to Coaches Brandon and Jullian—they’ve been instrumental in my progress. They coach with intention, create a welcoming space, and genuinely care about their students.
That’s why it’s frustrating this decision was made without directly communicating the reasoning to those of us who committed our time and effort to the program. That part just sucks.
Los Campeones is still a great gym, but I’m disappointed to lose such a valuable program and community so soon

I’ve trained at several Los Campeones locations in the Twin Cities, and the Brooklyn Center gym, open for about a year, is the best. It has top-notch facilities and an incredible staff. The Los Campeones Grappling Club, launched in January, elevates it further, blending lifting and jiu-jitsu with one membership. Coaches Brandon and Julian created a fun, challenging program for all levels, offering Gi, No-Gi (Fundamentals and Advanced), Women’s Self-Defense, and competition prep. Whether you’re a beginner, returning to the sport, or a competitor, their welcoming environment ensures you’ll thrive and enjoy training.
However, recent changes worry me. The gym canceled several jiu-jitsu classes, eliminated all Gi classes, added heavy bags that don’t suit the program’s needs, and let go of Coach Julian, signaling a shift in management’s direction. These cuts severely limit training options, especially for competitors like me, preparing for a tournament in two weeks. I love the Los Campeones community, but I’m considering another membership to meet my training needs.
Despite this, I highly recommend Los Campeones in Brooklyn Center for anyone curious about jiu-jitsu. It’s a transformative sport that builds strength, discipline, and camaraderie. Coach Brandon and the team are skilled and welcoming, making it ideal for newcomers. unity, but I’m considering another membership to meet my training needs.

Outstanding Jiu-Jitsu Training at an Affordable Price
Los Campeones Grappling Club delivers top-tier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction, thanks to the incredible coaching of Julian and Brandon. During my time training here, I learned a wide variety of effective techniques that have become key parts of my game as a blue belt. The curriculum is well-structured, practical, and adaptable for all experience levels.
If you’re looking to train in a high-quality environment without paying an arm and a leg, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone serious about growing in Jiu-Jitsu.

Honestly the best gym I've ever been to since 24 hour fitness in cali.
Awesome equipment, awesome music ...like if your headsets die you can definitely survive entire sesh. Friendly staff and everyone just getting it..
Stocked food and drinks, protein powder, energy boosters, super clean.
And really affordable.
Open until 11pm week days and closes 9pm on weekends.
In June is running a 10 bucks buddy pass, worth it.
Only downer, no kids on the Floor. They must sit on the watchmens couch the entire time and for liability issues ...I get it. Still great choice to bring your child in ...if they can sit and you can get a quick work out in. 26 bucks for a guest pass in this case.

I've been a personal trainer at Los Campeones in Brooklyn Center since they opened in December, and I truly could not ask for a better place to grow as a new trainer.
Not only is this the perfect gym for me professionally, but I also love training here for my own workouts. This is hands down the cleanest gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. The staff is constantly wiping down equipment, keeping everything spotless, and making sure any broken machines are repaired quickly.
There’s more than enough equipment to go around...machines, dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, you name it. And even during the busiest times, the space is so big that you’re still able to get your workout done without waiting around.
And the staff? Incredible. Friendly, welcoming, warm, it really feels like a community here.
If you’re looking for a new gym, this is it. If you’re not here, you’re missing out.

My boyfriend hooked me up with Isabella the personal trainer here. She's fantastic! She's knowledgeable, encouraging yet challenging, and has a great personality that makes working out fun. I also did a nutrition program with her and it's gone great! After big changes in my life and career my gym progress had become non existent and I had put on some extra weight. I'm feeling better both in and out of the gym and slowly but surely moving towards a strong body that I feel comfortable in. Los Campeones is a good gym itself, too. There's lots of equipment, the vibes are great, and the music selection is so good that it's not the end of days if I forget my headphones. Like all gyms there are peak hours where it's a little more crowded but folks here are generally really good about gym etiquette and working sets in together and stuff. Overall totally totally recommend!

As far as things you expect at a bodybuilding gym, Los BC has nearly everything you could want (often two of it). It's a great gym attended by serious, focused people. I would recommend it with one caveat.
That being, the music. It is unbelievably loud on the gym floor.
Hearing-damage-level loud.
If you're a music professional or otherwise need to maintain your hearing in top shape, this is probably not the place for you.

Los Campeones – Brooklyn Center: My Take on the New-Age Bodybuilding Mecca of Minnesota
As someone who has been actively bodybuilding for over a decade in the Twin Cities, I’ve spent years searching for a gym that truly checks all the boxes—high-quality equipment, ergonomically smart machines, and an intense, no-frills environment rooted in traditional bodybuilding culture.
I’ve held memberships at multiple gyms—including Anytime Fitness, Lifetime, LA Fitness, Minneapolis Bouldering Project, university gyms, and even Planet Fitness (lmao, only for tanning during show prep)—plus other Los Campeones locations. I also travel to different states to check out new gyms just for fun. I currently hold three active memberships to support my various hobbies and training styles, and I can proudly say: Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is easily one of the nicest gyms I’ve ever trained at. I’m thankful to have it in my own backyard.
This location feels like a culmination of everything they’ve learned from other gyms—built specifically with serious lifters in mind, especially those in the bodybuilding community. The variety of machines and cable setups allows you to train with precision and purpose. If you know what muscles you want to target, this gym gives you every tool to do it right.
The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the staff regularly walk the floor to keep everything in top shape. On the rare chance something is down, it’s typically fixed by the next day—that kind of responsiveness is rare and appreciated.
There’s a posing room, more machines, racks, and cables than you could ask for, and enough space and equipment to support any discipline—aesthetics, strength, mobility, or general fitness.
They even offer a designated fridge and area for post-workout meals, which is cleaned weekly (currently Fridays). It’s small details like this that show the gym is built with intention and care for the people who train there.
I’ve been a member since the soft opening, and it’s been amazing to watch the gym grow based on real community feedback. It’s clear the staff and owners genuinely care about building something great for everyone who walks in.
Only downside? The parking spots are tight, and it can be a bit of a squeeze getting in and out of your car—but honestly, that’s a small price to pay for a gym that delivers so much.
Pro tip: Evenings can get busy, but if you go early morning or during off hours, you’ll have more than enough space and equipment to yourself.
More photos to come, but if you’re serious about your training and want a space that matches your intensity, Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is the place.
TL;DR: A true bodybuilder’s gym with high-end equipment, clean facilities, and a community-driven vibe—Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is one of the best gyms in Minnesota.

Great gym! Really staying true to the Los Campeones vibes, just with a fresh coat of paint. And bigger. And better in every way.
Sam's yoga classes are great, I really hope they're able to make them a regular thing. For now it's just getting started but I'm excited as she's a great instructor, and throughout the class she scales the difficulty level to the group she's working with based on their proficiency. Fingers crossed it gains some steam!
The crowd is great. If you're the type to get intimidated by others doing things well around you, knock that out of your head and come check it out. The community is great and I haven't had anyone be rude or intimidating when it wasn't warranted. Sometimes I'll be curious about an exercise and I'll ask people about them when they're done with their sets. It's inspiring to be in an environment of everyone working and progressing to their goals. Motivates me more to work towards my own goals.
