Great gym. Serious lifters here and chalk on the floor, where needed. But not so serious that GenPop won't fit in. Not for everyone, but most will like it. I have the Level 2 and have hit most of their gyms in the city. EP is one of the smaller ones but has everything needed.

Los campeones EP is a great gym no doubt and I love the equipment and aesthetic the gym offers. From my experience, Los offered $55 a month last summer and has completely up-charged to around $80 making in unfeasible for college students like me who already feel like they are paying a lot. When I came back into the gym to renew my membership, I was told after renewing my membership I would receive a “full refund” if cancelled within 1-3 days. Instead I was charged $30 and given partial refund. There was a complete lack of transparency and I feel somewhat cheated. It’s a good gym but overcharged and there is poor communication with the customer.

Los Campeones Gym in Eden Prairie is hands-down one of the best gyms in the Twin Cities. This place has an old-school vibe with modern equipment that’s perfect for anyone serious about getting stronger, building muscle, and pushing themselves. The atmosphere is incredible—there’s a real sense of community here, where people are focused and supportive, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned lifter.
The gym layout is smart, with plenty of free weights, racks, benches, machines, and cardio equipment. They’ve got specialty equipment you won’t find at your typical chain gyms, which makes a big difference if you’re serious about strength training or bodybuilding. The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of space, even during peak hours.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. They’re always willing to answer questions or help you learn how to use equipment properly.
Whether you’re into powerlifting, Olympic lifting, bodybuilding, or just want a no-nonsense gym with great energy, Los Campeones Eden Prairie is the place to be. I’m so glad I found this spot—highly recommend to anyone looking to take their training to the next level!

I absolutely love this gym! The no nonsense nose to the grindstone mentality is awesome. I appreciate how they trust you (but verify) to buy something if you want during non staffed hours by filling out the form. The gym has all the necessities for a complete workout. The best thing about this gym is that it is 24/7! Working out at 2:30am is the best. The only thing I don't like is how small the locker room is but that is pretty irrelevant when you are the only one in the gym.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. Don’t let anything about this place intimidate you. BUT there is NO BAG anymore for anyone looking it is just lifting equipment and a small turf spot now. Also has tractor tires for flipping and hitting in the back.

this gym is amazing with such a nice atmosphere. the equipment are great joined 5 months ago and they been getting new equipments and new floor before they didn’t have over 100 pounds but they brought new weights 100-150 pounds now. staff are nice if i had to say something they can improve on is probably their wifi network connection its very slow when changing music or sending messages.

This is by far the best gym around! I had gone to lifetime for a long time and have been out of the gym for some years. I made the decision to go to los EP and train with Evan, he has already got me in the shape I was hoping to be in this winter. The vibe and gear at this gym are on point! Evan has showed fantastic customer service.

Good gym, it gets very busy around 5pm, so be aware that if you're like me and go work out right away after work, you're gonna have a bad time waiting for stuff to open up. Nobody's fault, it's just busy.
They're slowly replacing the equipment, I think the last major thing in need of replacement is the dumbbells, there're some mysterious missing dumbbells and there are a few that are bent and abused from god knows what abuse.
There are unfortunately limited weight racks, 5 total and two of these don't have attached platforms so you're SOL if you want to use the space for floor pulls of some description. I feel like the space could be better laid out to accommodate more given the clientele this gym is aiming for

This gym is the perfect gym for someone who is goal oriented in fitness, the gym environment can help push you further than most gyms in my experience. The community is goal based, dedicated and friendly and supportive and will welcome you with open arms. The gym is evolving with new machines and free weights, the gym is kept clean and all weights are organized and put where they are needed. Amazing price for what they have to offer at the Eden prairie and all other Los Campeones gyms. Overall is a hardcore and old school style gym and perfect for anyone starting to pursing a bodybuilding and powerlifting career.

So far, it's OK. This is a really up front body builder and power lifter place, they aren't hiding this. You need some Olympic weightlifting bars, you have power lifting bars (the really rugged Rogue ones) and some others. Rogue does have some great deals in their Boneyard section... I recommend this gym to most people... not a country club or d-bag Lifetime...

I’m thoroughly confused why this gym has any bad reviews. All of my experiences here have been nothing but positive. Evan, the current manager, seems to truly care that us members are being taken care of. They also have physical therapists who work out of the gym, talk about convenient!
Sure, if you don’t want to make progress, don’t like a motivating environment, and don’t like sharing a passion for exercise, then maybe it isn’t the gym for you. But for myself and my friends that go here, we LOVE IT!

This gym has a great mix of nice lifting equipment, especially stuff that is not found at many traditional gyms. I know most of the trainers personally and they are quality. Each trainer runs their own business and typically brings a lot more experience than a gym employee trainer. It is a great gym for weights and athletic performance. It is also really nice to have other services under the same room like Neuro-Therapy injury rehabilitation, expert massage and IV therapy.

I’m a trainer here and maybe I am biased but I have been a trainer elsewhere and therefore I think I have a point of reference. The staff here is wonderful, helpful to all, whether it be equipment questions, cleanliness, food and drink items for sale, FRIENDLINESS (which I highly rate as important!), and giving the place an overall fantastic vibe as a place to get fit and do it in a respectful and fun way! Consider coming to visit if you haven’t been!! Kudos!

Horrible gym. I love the Los brand but this gym sucks. At first glance the gym seems really nice, but once you get in and really look at it, it’s anything but. Gym etiquette doesn’t exist here. It’s more dirty than a high school boys locker room. The trainers will sometimes have multiple clients at a time and hog multiple machines. Oh what’s that? You like dumbbells? Well go somewhere else because this gym only has one 80, 90, and 100. Honestly considering the switch to the local anytime fitness.

Been a Los member for years, and have paid for a family membership for years. Came in on Saturday and was rudely checked in by the female front desk employee. I had recently gotten a new card, which I wanted to put on file. Even though it was 12 o’clock in the middle of the day, the employee on staff said she could not help me because she was “working out.” She then went on to threaten me that if I checked in again I would be charged $100.00. Probably not the best strategy threatening your regulars. Do better!
Update: Just canceled both memberships. Very poor management.

I was enjoying the gym since the transfer for a couple months from Vault Fitness to Los Campeones. The energy was high and music was great for a bit. Is it just me or all of a sudden this month the gym has been low energy? I only come at night when i get off my late shifts from work and the music is close to nothing to at least 10% volume! I only own a pair of headphones but they hurt my head and feel uncomfortable and i prefer to listen to the music the gym has to offer from their speakers. not only that but the playlist they are playing just turned sideways. I keep hearing the song “pump up the jam” every time i walk in. I’m not getting no pump from that.
equipment is nice really high quality tho i’ll give it that
garbages are overflown to the top, especially on weekends. Men’s bathroom stinks, they removed the mat under the urinal all of a sudden and now there’s a collection of yellow stains under it. mold was growing inside under the drain of the men’s bathroom.
FLAWS so far
•Dirty and unsanitary bathrooms
•Terrible music choices
SUGGESTIONS
•have a playlist for different times PLEASE?!

If you are looking for a hardcore powerlifting or bodybuilding style gym, this is it. Tons of unique and great equipment. Great atmosphere-loud/energetic and friendly front desk staff-Meghan. This is not your high end, super clean fitness center like Lifetime so if you want that…you won’t like this. The only negative is a lack of a family membership. I have two boys and myself into lifting and 190/mo is a little much. Perhaps family membership for 120 would be a win win?!

I love this place but it is not for everyone.
(That's exactly why I love it)
This is a gym for people who are serious about getting better and so there's a noticeable lack of hacker/posers hanging out on the equipment in between sets, texting or taking selfies like in a certain local big box club. I don't have to worry about ending in some teen's IG post as they are randomly ranting about the injustice of someone else not wearing the right type of workout gear. This is a great place when you want to get results and avoid the noise and BS of "yuppie spa" facilities.

Been a member for many years. Has gone in the dump since Los campeones took over. Previous Vault Fitness owners ran a professional, inviting fitness center and now it’s just a bunch of high school kids running around taking selfies of themselves in the mirror. Feels like teen night at YMCA. Only nice thing is the new equipment.

Rude staff from Los franchise. I have had my stuff stolen from Los and their response was dismissive, rude, and berating instead of offering trying to help find it via cameras for whatever reasons. The equipment and trainers can be nice, but from experience sadly the front desk staff are short tempered and it seems like a management issue. I’ve never had anyone help reach out to get my stolen gym equipment back, either.

The only positive is the new equipment. The gym has gone downhill since the change of ownership from Vault Fitness. The price has increased, without notice, the music is loud and the gym/locker rooms are dirty. The front desk staff are unwelcoming and the only thing they know how to do is play on their phones. The clientele are only interested in looking at themselves in the mirrors.

This gym has a good location and also a solid variety of equipment for whatever your fitness goals are.
However, since the ownership has changed from Vault to Los, the music has gotten unbearably loud. I use Air Pod Pros with noise cancelling and I need to have my own music nearly at 100% to drown out the heavy metal music in the powerlifting room. I’d like to be able to listen to my own music at a normal volume or even be able to listen to a podcast but that’s not really possible with the loud music.
Also, the previous owners had a great system for cleaning equipment where they would provide reusable cloths generously placed around the gym so that you could use one for the duration of your workout. These cloths were great for wiping the equipment down, including the barbells which get all kinds of things on them including chalk and blood. The new owners installed one use disposable wipes that don’t nearly clean the equipment as well as the cloths, and I can’t even wipe the knurling on the barbell with these either.
The employees are kind and welcoming but the deafening music really takes away from a positive experience.
