I’ve had the opportunity to go to Ninjas United many times in the last few years and I can’t say enough good things about the coaches and owners. Each coach is truly engaged and there to help everyone who steps into the gym floor, be it a preschooler, a seasoned ninja or an older adult like myself who is trying it for the first time! I cannot say enough good things about this gym and everyone who works there. We started attending back in 2019 when our son was 3 years old. One of the now owners, Jen, was his coach along with Coach Sean. The way they encouraged and taught these small children in the preschool program was nothing short of amazing. They encouraged individual growth and celebrated as each kid learned a new skill or tried something new that was hard. They emphasized growth over perfection. Now 6 years later, both of our children are on teams and still love going. Every time we are there, we marvel at how they have been able to develop a coaching team that emulates the same principals of encouragement and growth being the priority. Our kids respect their coaches because of the respect that the coaches first showed them. They are consistent and flexible, but always with the best interest of the entire group at the forefront. Our kids have learned skills that translate over to their everyday lives. They have learned that they can do hard things, to persevere in the face of a challenge and most importantly, to support those around you. You compete as an individual, but you are part of team. That means the decisions you make and how you handle yourself in practice and in a competition impact those around you and that needs to considered over your own desires. As parents, we often marvel at how Chris and Jen have been able to cultivate such a wonderful environment and to have a staff full of young people who do the same. This is a rare gem and we are blessed to be a part of it!

My son, who is both exceptional and is challenged by his disabilities, has been receiving private lessons at Ninjas United for over a year. His anxiety can be debilitating, so extra care and patience must be given, as things can go from bad to worse very quickly when folks don't know how to address/work with him. There is something special about the the coaches who work at this facility. I have never in my entire life been around such kind, nonjudgmental, and positive people. So many times, I held my breath after my son said something inappropriate in the moment or displayed a challenging behavior, waiting for the judgment, confusion or both to cause the lesson to abruptly end (and me feeling embarrassed to return for future lessons). However, it has never been that way. The support and kindness that is given by every single coach and staff member I have met has been absolutely remarkable. Nobody has judged him or me. Everyone seems to innately understand his struggles and gives him the benefit of the doubt. His coach, Lizzie, is eons beyond her years in maturity and seems to know exactly what to do and say to get him back to a regulated, calm state and keep him motivated to complete his lesson. He always feels so much better after his lessons. This place has been an absolute godsend to our family, and I will forever be eternally grateful for Lizzie, Jen (the amazing owner who has built this community), and all the other coaches who cheer my son on, without even knowing who he is. This really is more than a ninja gym (although it totally meets that criteria!); it's a supportive community. We're blessed to be a part of it.

Ninjas United is such a positive environment if you are seeking to see your kids built up in character as well as challenged in their sport. The head coach, Sean, structures the Preschool classes specifically to the emotional and physical ability of 4-6 year olds. Easy to follow directions and debriefs after each station help children build a positive self image in these early years. This is echoed by the other full time coaches as they model to the kids a focused and fun approach to overcoming physical and mental obstacles in the gym. Our 5 year old thrives in this structure and from Sean's coaching. All the kids in her class love getting high fives from him.

Our 12 year old has trained here for nearly 7 years and has grown exponentially in his skill and confidence with these coaches. Ninjas United is an asset to the city of Maple Grove in building community and a positive culture in sport. That starts from the leadership and direction of the owners, Chris and Jen, and their desire to make Ninjas United a positive experience for athletes of every age and ability. I highly recommend Ninjas United to everyone!

We did not have a great experience here unfortunately. My 4 year old loved his first class and was excited to go back, but after he was singled out and targeted by one of the coaches he was really questioning himself. My son had only gone to the gym once before. The coach put him on a 5 second timer to get over the obstacles and to move off the mats. I'll remind you.. he is only 4 and has never done this before. The coach also thought it appropriate to put my child in a timeout when he didn't move off the mat fast enough for him. Coaches should be there to build up kids, not tear them down. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great time at a birthday party hosted at Ninjas United!

Their staff did a fantastic job organizing the kids into smaller groups and making sure everyone was able to try all the obstacles of their choice. They were super patient and really focused on what the kids wanted to do.

The facility was awesome! Honestly, I was tempted to jump in and try a few things myself, but I did not want to get in their way!

After the session, we had a separate party room, which made it easy to celebrate with snacks and cake. Our kids had an absolute blast.

Highly recommend for an active, well-run party that keeps the kids engaged and having fun. We are even thinking about coming back soon for open gym.

We have been attending Ninjas United for about the last 6 months after being at another ninja gym.

We attended the first of two days of a camp today and had the BEST experience. My 8 year old son has some behavior challenges that show up most often in group settings where there are instructions and down time in-between taking turns. I wasn't sure how he was going to do, but the coaches handled him incredibly well. They were firm and consistent with their expectations and my son responded to their instruction better than I've ever him respond to an instructor before. I'm so so impressed with the coaches and so glad we found a place where our son can feel proud of his athletic performance as well as his behavior! We will absolutely be back for more than just this two day camp!

We changed ninja experiences from another local ninja/gymnastic program. Ninjas United feels more family oriented. The workout area is great for busy parents who want to use the time during their kid's lesson to work out. There is also a rather spacious area for siblings to play, which has two levels and lots for kids to do. My daughter always asks to stay and play after her ninja lesson. I've seen a lot of growth in my daughter's skills since joining NU and look forward to seeing more in the future.

Ninjas United has been an amazing experience from the start. They made our son feel included immediately. They have enough coaches to give attention to each athlete, which goes a long way for someone like my 4 year old. Coach Jen has a special gift and it shows every time we go. My daughter and I discovered Ninjas Unlimited last year during Maple Grove days. After that my daughter (four years old at the time) attended a two day clinic/camp and she fell in love. Since then my daughter has been taking weekly classes. The owner, Coach Jen, is FANTASTIC! As a former elementary Phy.Ed. teacher, I had to share how amazingly safe and fun our United Ninjas experience has been. The very patient and motivating staff is supportive to all kids with varying abilities and body types. They are exceptional in providing guidance within safe boundaries and promoting strength and fitness challenges tailored to each individual person. They are well structured in the foundational class and uphold a respectful class environment for both participants and coaches. This is absolutely a “NON-pressure”, confidence boosting, easy to try out experience! We had our 7 year old's party here and he loved it. He actually had his 6th birthday here too and wanted to do it again for this year! They have the climbing area and arcade for before your time slot starts to help entertain the kids. I have 2 younger kids and the staff was so great with them as well. The instructors Caleb and Joey were awesome and patient. My 3 year old loved Joey so much he wouldn't leave him alone. Joey was so great and sweet with him and just so understanding! It can be a little chaotic with the other parties starting but what kids party isn't!

In regards to birthday party reservations ---

Unfortunately, from a parent's perspective, our experience was awful. I'll list the cons here first since we only had 1 pro:

CONS
- we were mistakenly told we'd have the "place to ourselves", ending up bringing a newborn (no apologies from the owner when I emailed)
- the party before us stayed in the play area for the ENTIRETY of our reservation on the gym floor from 6:15-7-45, lots of kids screaming and running while parents gathered below to chat
- sent an email and the owner responded with a list of justifications rather than try to understand our perspective
- we paid over $500 for a nerf ninja party but really shared the space with another party
- other parents approached me and told me it was way too loud (running and screaming from the other party)

PROS
- the staff was seemingly kind

TIPS
- they want you to make a reservation via email but CALL THEM. The communication was awful and we even went in-person the day before AND still had miscommunication.
- you will NOT get the place to yourself, they allow other parties to stay behind and do not care if their noise level or behaviors are affecting your experience
- go somewhere else ---> NOT WORTH THE PRICE TAG for what you get.

This place is great! Two of my kids go here and they look forward to their classes every week. There are classes for all ages and abilities. It’s definitely way more “ninja” than some other places we’ve tried. They even have a GREAT play area for kids who are there watching or waiting for class to start. Such friendly, great staff and super fun and clean gym for my 4.5 year old to try all his "Spidey" moves. The coaches genuinely care about each student and it was the first activity I've signed my super high-energy son up for where I felt he was genuinely accepted, cared for, and could really be his big, energetic self. Highly recommend!

Our son did the wiggly warriors birthday party here and had so much fun! The staff was friendly, excited and engaging with the kids. They led the kids through several different obstacle courses and then there was 30 min of free play on the equipment. After the floor time we set up in the party room for cake and presents and the kids were able to play the arcade games as well as some more play in a separate kids area. Everything was very organized which made it super easy to host a birthday here.

My 6 year old daughter LOVES the wiggly warrior classes. They are the highlight of her week. It's been so awesome to watch her grow in both her skill level and her confidence as they teach and encourage the kids to do new obstacles/challenges.

Wow!!! That was the best birthday party ever. My 4 year old couldn’t have had a better time. This place is the best!! From the staff to the party room to the best ninja warrior obstacle course ever. The party room was clean and had everything we needed!!! The staff were the best. Super friendly with the kiddos and super helpful!! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better place!!! Thank you to all that helped make it happen!! We will definitely be back for more parties and OPEN GYM!!!

This place is SOOOO AMAZING!!!! Couldn't be more impressed and amazed. Coach's were super helpful, friendly, and super knowledgeable about everything, the gym it's self is unbelievable, and super fun! They have the perfect amount of easier obstacles for younger kids and lower skill levels, but also enough challenging obstacles that adults and kids can both have a ton of fun! Can't recommend Ninja's United enough!

We held my sons 5th birthday party at Ninjas over the weekend. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming, worked very well with the kiddos, and made sure everyone had fun! All the parents that came were amazed at the concept and facility. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a place to have a party!

We recently signed up for the “Parents night out” and what a great experience! Clara made us feel so comfortable dropping our kids off. She gave us a phone # to reach them directly in case we needed to communicate and when we did they responded immediately. Would definitely recommend! Great experience for the kids and parents!

We had a great experience hosting a birthday party at Ninja's United in Maple Grove. The party room was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The trainers engaged with the kids and there was space for younger siblings to play while the older (6-7 year olds) used the facility equipment.

I have a 4 year old who absolutely loves this place! They face challenges appropriate to their age and abilities.. the coaches set up different courses every week and help when/as needed! I’ve seen my son become so much more confident in just the few months we’ve been going! I can’t wait until he’s old enough for the other activities / camps they have ! Great place for a kids birthday party. I had my sons 6th bday party here and all the kids had a blast. One of the coaches worked with all the kids showing them exactly how to do everything. They had 1 hour on the floor and 45 minutes in the party room.

Ninjas United is a fantastic family activity! The coaches they have are knowledgeable, encouraging, and super kind. Every time my kids go, they get stronger and love every minute as they improve on the many obstacles, along with the four different heights of warped walls. They have a great area for smaller kids, too.
