I’ve tried other studios and big gyms over the years, but haven’t found anything that compares to Nordeast yoga. The owner is hands down the best teacher, and brings a rare element of intuitive direction (especially helpful because I didn’t know any of the pose names at first!) and often adds background stories, linguistics, and really amazing sequences that — even after all this time — make every class both relaxing and interesting. Some yoga, the teacher arrives with a Big Plan but Annie is so intuitive and capable that she builds her classes custom as she goes, and it always feels just right. She’s surrounded herself with an amazing supporting staff so regardless of who’s teaching, you’re in for a rewarding hour.

Beyond the yoga, this place has a great *vibe* full of wood floors, healthy plants, and people who will either leave you alone or become your best friends, depending on what you’re looking for. A fit for everybody.

Annie was so kind! I loved the small group setting and how flexible and relaxed the yin class was. I felt immediately welcomed walking in. A great spot for a bachelorette session before a day of activities!

**Nordeast Yoga is the dope spot!** Upon entering you can feel the community based vibrant energy. It's a place where everyone fits in, no matter your amount of yoga experience.

Classes are thoughtfully laid out and paced to meet everyone's needs. But what really sets this joint apart is the amazing sense of community.

Looking for an inclusive and energizing yoga spot? Nordeast Yoga is it. It's more than a place to practice—it's a place to connect, laugh, and grow. I'm not here to tell you what to do but I'd suggest that if you give it a shot you definitely won't regret it.

Nordeast yoga is the best yoga studio I have been to, and Annie is one of the best instructors I’ve experienced. Before finding Nordeast yoga, I mostly solo practiced because the yoga studios i would try out did not feel in alignment with my practice. Now Nordeast yoga, is the only studio I will attend class at. The studio itself is beautiful spatially and energetically, and Annie plus the other instructors hold space in a gentle and depth-filled way. It’s truly the best!

Absolutely the best yoga studio I have been to in the Twin Cities. Annie has the most creative flows and great style to her classes. She modifies every class so that beginner to advanced can push themselves in any class. Everyone is super welcoming, great vibes all around.

Nordeast yoga has been an absolute sanctuary in my life since moving to the cities. Annie’s candlelight flow classes are bliss! Anyone aching for a nurturing dose of self-compassion, sanskrit folklore, stress-relief, endorphin-boost or juicy stretch-sesh will find just what they need right here. Not to mention the soundtracks, which are always fire.

Nordeast yoga is simply the best. I live in the KC area and have yet to find anything like this studio! I take classes every time I’m visiting my sister in Minneapolis. The space is cute, eclectic, and welcoming. Big Stretchy Nap is my favorite class, but they’re all great!

Amazing space with welcoming people. I loved the 5pm gentle practice. It was the right amount of movement, meditation, and rest. It’s tricky to find so give yourself a few extra minutes. But plenty of parking on the street.

I've been practicing yoga for many years across several studios and athletic clubs, and Nordeast Yoga is hands down the most fabulous and authentic yoga option in the city. Nordeast has something for everyone. The owner Annie offers a wide variety of classes, all of which can be modified to broad levels of experience. Every class is uniquely catered to the needs of the group on any given day, and you will leave feeling a million times better than when you arrived. Classes range from restorative, to challenging flow, to Ashtanga, and everything in between. You will breathe, listen to great music, enjoy the awesome community of students, learn about origins of poses and yoga in general, shake off your stress, and have a blast. This is not your average gym/yoga routine situation, its really special. Don't miss out on this gem!

I have been going to Annies classes for almost 8 years now and honestly don't know where I would be without her! Whether she knows it or not, Annie has helped me get through a lot of challenges in this life. No matter how tired I am, I am always so glad when I make myself get off my butt and on my mat. She gives you the tools and guidance that you need but the freedom to make every class your own. She tells stories, makes the best playlists, is uplifting, calming and energizing at the same time, funny...she is a rockstar in the yoga world and is constantly seeking ways to grow and expand her own knowledge so that we can benefit. The studio that she started in Northeast is so welcoming and has grown to include a lot of other really amazing teachers. This is the yoga studio for everybody!

I am not any kind of yoga veteran, as I only started dabbling about 12 months ago at my former employer, but I have become addicted to this studio and it's Tuesday evening class with Christy. It's a great space in a great location. The atmosphere invites one to push your personal edges while allowing for failure... if that makes sense.

I have been going for a short while since i moved to this side of the river. All i can say is, there is no other studio that can live up to Annies. Today i had to tell her that i had an uncontrollable smile on my face for the last 1/2 hour of her class. Seriously, and it was a grey monday ! she is amazing, as well as the people who come to her studio. It is the old "law of attraction" concept....she makes it very special.

A comfortable venue for all levels of yogis! Before starting at Nordeast Yoga last year I had dabbled in yoga and Pilates, but was not sold. After a class or two at Nordeast I realized what I had been missing by not attending classes from an experienced and committed teacher. One of only a few studios that offers astanga yoga, I was comfortable starting as a beginner and have progressed in my practice under Annie's incredible instruction. The balance of strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and meditation practice in every class makes this studio unlike any other. Bravo!

First, the studio space is perfect...warm, with wood floors and some exposed brick. The natural light that floods the studio during the day makes the space incredibly inviting. More importantly, Annie Hanson is an incredible yoga instructor. Her ability to seamlessly teach brand new yogis and very experienced yogis in the same class is remarkable. Her classes have just the perfect amount of physical challenge, a touch of historical and spiritual teaching, and fun. You will smile or laugh at least once during each practice! All the classes are truly open and accessible to newbies and across the spectrum to the most experienced.
