I worked with Kurt for the last year and have learned so much from the knowledge he brought to the tailored workouts he set up for me! He also will really listen to areas of concern or improvement you are looking to focus on, and research new techniques or background to get you to your goals. I started with Kurt with no strength training experience at all. I was so weak, doing daily life with my growing baby was exhausting and even dangerous with my back injury history. Kurt is a great teacher, is helpful in adapting workouts based on my ability and resources, and his personal trainer app has been really intuitive. Six months in, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, I’ve built trust with my body, and daily life with my son is a breeze. Make the investment in yourself and contact Kurt.

Kurt is a fantastic instructor and coach. Kurt was an amazing personal trainer! This was my first time ever working with a personal trainer and it was a great experience! I was not very confident at first, but Kurt was nothing but encouraging and helpful. He supported me in my journey to gain muscle and overall strength by creating personalized workouts to match my goals. Kurt was attentive and responsive whenever I had questions. Not only did he help with strength training, but he also provided guidance with meals/eating a balanced diet, which maximized my personal results, and instilled better eating habits in my life. Overall, I cannot say enough awesome things about Kurt and Northern Strength.

I have been working with Kurt since April 2023. As a 40+ year old woman, I was looking to really build strength and muscle to support my health and aging, and accompany my normal cardio focused routine. From the moment I met with Kurt, he was so encouraging and ready to meet me where I was at (which was barely able to walk after lunges!) and I always felt supported and safe. I love the accountability of meeting in person or virtually and reporting progress. I love the personalization of workouts to my specific need, even modified for vacations or when I don’t have equipment handy. And routines I can fit into my busy life as a Finance professional and mom to 2 teenagers. After 6+ months working with Kurt I see a difference in my strength, real progress in my workouts, and finally a weight program that has stuck!

Works on things you want to work on! Great at taking feed back on what work outs you enjoy and what you don't! Willing to work around and work to prevent injury. I have gone from not being comfortable with deadlifting and lots of back pain to a 400 lb deadlift! #results

If Hulk had a trainer, I bet his name would be Kurt. A wizard with weights and a magician with muscles, he's been my personal Yoda for two years and has made me gain a whopping 25 pounds! (No, not from his protein shake recipe, but pure Herculean muscle.)
Kurt has this impressive beard, which I suspect is his secret source of wisdom. He's a walking 'Strongipedia', always brewing fresh ways to make you feel like Schwarzenegger.
Communication? He’s clearer than my 4K TV at home. His constant feedback keeps my progress on track, and he's always just a text away.
In summary, with Kurt, I've found not only a top-notch trainer but also a friend. The only 'weights' I can't lift are the weights of gratitude. Here's to another 25 pounds, Kurt! (But no rush, I've still got to fit through doors.)

He takes the time upfront to understand where you're starting from and where you want to go, with help defining goals and providing a robust foundation to training. Getting started with a plan on my own was overwhelming - I didn't know where to start, how to start, which movements to do, how much weight to use, how many reps to do... the list goes on. With Kurt, it was a breeze. He created tailored plans that were easy to use and understand, and created a plan that increased in difficulty specific to my abilities and goals.
Even when my plans had to change (travel), he was quick to offer guidance for on-the-go workouts that allowed me to continue with my plans. This was super important and valuable.
In person, he is patient, intentional, thoughtful, and instructive - all with the intention to helping me improve the way I workout and view fitness. If you're looking for a customized, personal, professional, and encouraging trainer, I'd fully recommend Kurt and Northern Strength.
