We had our wedding here November 1st and it was so magical!!
Lets start with the food:
If you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions look no further! My husband is celiac and has to be gluten free (and no cross contamination) he was able to eat the food from Oak Glens kitchen with 0 problems. Their chef is extremely knowledgeable on food allergies and food safety. Their kitchen is not 100% gluten free, but the chef can make almost anything off of their menu GF. The food tasted spectacular! This was one of the biggest reasons in choosing this venue.
The venue itself is gorgeous. It gives you a romantic cozy vibe all around. The getting ready rooms are very spacious and felt very cozy for both the guys and the girls! We chose to have our ceremony at the willows. It feels so whimsical with the willow trees and the little pond. The day went so perfect. The entire staff there are so nice. Kelsey, the events coordinator is very good with communication, loves what she does, and is the sweetest person and she made the entire process of booking the venue, the final details and the day of such a breeze. We could not be any more thankful to have worked with such wonderful people and would recommend anyone to have their special day here. Thank you so much for everything Kelsey!! We so much appreciate you and your staff!

It's unfortunate that so many people are complaining about the condition of the course Etc.
Even if the course is under repair, I'm always happy just to be able to get out and play a round of golf!
I was able to get in around yesterday and today and it was not busy at all, of course because most people are afraid of playing and what they would consider unfavorable weather.
Great service especially considering the time of year, and the condition of the course was pretty darn great from t-box to Fairway to Green and everything in between.
I would say to everybody else complaining about time of play and pace of play, although the course might be able to say something or speak to that stuff, you should really aim your complaints at the general population that really just has no etiquette in general anymore these days much less on the golf course.

The new bunkers and sand are a huge improvement in 2025! The course is now totally in great condition and fun to play. A few more benches on par 3 tee boxes would be appreciated by walkers if they need to wait for the group in front of them.

We played Oak Glen the first week of October, 2025 with a late morning tee time. Weather was cool in the morning but warmed up nicely by early afternoon. The course was in excellent condition with tees, fairways, and greens in very good condition. The proshop attendant checked us in promptly, we loaded up the carts, and fortunately we were able to tee off several minutes early. After golf we gathered in the canteen area for a beer and were on our way. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely golf there again.

People are always courteous and helpful. The round flowed smoothly. Couldn't make a putt to save my life :)
Course was in great shape. Dropped leaves were under control. Great day.
Played about a month after the greens had been aerated and sanded. Greens were fantastic. For early October, the whole course was in amazing shape. No leaf issues at all. Staff again was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another round there before the end of the season!
Played at the end of October. Played at a good pace. Seemed to be busy, but the round only took 4 hours on a beautiful day. The sand traps remain to be the worst part of the course. Poor sand quality, poorly maintained, and inconsistent, both in texture of the sand, and the amount of sand. Need a full upgrade.
Played in 4.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon. Not bad at all. Course is undergoing complete sand trap renovation. Was in two bunkers during the round, and the new traps are fantastic. Sand quality is top notch. Course was in great shape.
Played on a Monday afternoon in 3.4 hours. Excellent pace. Greens had be punched and sanded the week before, and were in excellent shape for mid-Sept. As I noted before, the new bunkers are fantastic. Another great experience at the Glen!

I definitely like the course and people, but it is not a $90 w/cart golf course. I was stunned today/Saturday when I thought it was $65β¦ but that was without a cart. I wonβt be back at that price. I can golf for the same money at St Croix National.

Nice course but the first several holes were under construction so we had to take caution not to hit the workers. We were harassed by staff about slow play after those holes, but there was not a player in sight behind us. It made for an uncomfortable round. Finished in 4:10. There is very poor yardage marking on the course. No 150 stakes. Might give it an another try but there are so many other options.

Was happy to go golfing with a buddy this afternoon. Course was in great shape a month and a half ago. While golfing they were completely tearing apart the course. Sand traps werenβt playable, lots of new sod, etc. I get course up keep is required throughout the year, but no mention of this prior to our round was disappointing for the two of us.

This a very nice course, itβs really well maintained and i enjoyed my time while I played. But the starter allowed a group of five people to cut in front of my group of two people and the whole back nine we were backed up. They also allowed another group of four to cut on the back nine backing up the course. Overall nice course but poor management of the tee sheet

This is not a review of Oak Glen. I love the course. It is challenging and uses every shot in the bag. I am distressed by how many unrepaired divots have been left on the fairways and tees. Our grounds staff is second to none, but the carelessness of some of the most recent outing golfers, especially those playing scrambles, is degrading this beautiful course.

League play today was at a good pace, finished in 4 hrs 15 min. I know that your working on the bunkers on the back nine and some are marked to stay out but at least two had no markings but yet it was obvious they werenβt ready because the sand was in piles and there was a trench between the grass and the sand. Itches bunkers should at least have a sign saying βground under repairβ or a white line around the trap.
Course was in good shape, greens very fast and a suggestion- please have water in the ball washers. Several I wanted to use had no water. Another suggestion-when filling up the ball washers have a bottle of Dawn dish soap and add a small squirt in the washer. This makes washing much better.

We played today on Sunday and payed $75. This is a common price for a well maintained course. The course today was not even close to being in good shape. 3 of the holes you had to dodge geese and putt through mounds of goose doodoo. The last 4 holes had all of the sand traps as ground under repair and you were not allowed to retrieve your
$5 golf balls as there was a ranger telling you to stay off the grass and leave them in the ground under repair. The sprinklers (large)sprinklers were shooting water all over the greens so you could hardly even putt as the the greens were saturated with water. 20% of the course was ground under repair! It was terrible that they didn't tell you when you booked or even checked in. Terrible experience and just disappointing .

Decent course to play at a decent value. My experience on the range was not ideal as 80% of it was dirt instead of grass. Large bucket of balls is $12, while a small is $6. Quoted "Inflation" for cause of the high range ball price.

Good course with good rates. Although I really wish you would keep the bunker rakes in the bunker. On 3, the rakes are right on the fringe of the green, where my ball landed, hit the rake and went ob into a yard. Other than that the condition of the course looked great.

One of the worst designed courses I've ever played! The course is full of blind shots and unknown hazards that will leave you pulling your hair out. 3 of the 4 par 5's require a lay-up off the tee, but you won't know that until it's too late. This course easily lands on my top 5 list of worst courses in the metro area. Don't waste your money, there are plenty of other decent options near by.

Our group of 12 came out to play Oak Glen yesterday. It was my first time at the course but the others have play it a number of times previously. I played Aug 29, 2024. I play Oak Glen a lot and have always enjoyed this course; I give it five stars. But unfortunately, this last time was a disappointment. I am having surgery for total knee replacement on Sept 5. I wanted to get all the rounds of golf possible before the surgery. I also have a friend who fractured her pelvis three months ago and was trying to get back to golfing. My friend's second time out, and we chose Oak Glen as it is a great course that is easy on the body.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the course, the pro shop informed us of aeration on the greens. There should have been a mention of this on the online site. But I have golfed in the fall on aeration greens, which is doable. We paid for our round and proceeded to play. Then we got to the first green, and it was unplayable. There was so much sand on the green; the excessive sand on the green resulted in the ball being coated with sand, requiring pick up and cleaning. Plus, I had sand all over my clubs. The next several holes were miserable. The fairways were as beautiful as always, but the greens were disappointing. We considered quitting on the 9th, but we wanted to play. We continued and quit scoring as it was meaningless to putt for any score. I couldn't set my putter on the green as I would have to clean it. Some greens had over a 1/4 to 3/8 inch of sand. One time I hit a beautiful shot to the green when I looked closely I thought I had hit into a bunker. I understand the need to do the aeration, but the sand was a killer. I wouldn't have complained if half the course were aerated, but 3 1/2 hours was depressing. I felt terrible as this was probably the last time I got to golf with my friend this year. Given my situation, I would have passed and tried another course. I saw no notice of the aeration on the online site, and the aeration was so aggressive. Just disappointing. I will still play Oak Glen in the future, but please put a notice on the online site.

The pace of play at Oak Glen has really suffered. No ranger to monitor groups and move people along. We decided to play on a beautiful Saturday afternoon only to have to suffer behind two fivesomes that had no business being allowed on the course during a Saturday. Any course that allows fivesomes should be on the bottom of your list regardless of the course conditions which are normally quite good.

Went out with our Friday senior group today and enjoyed the round. The course was in superb condition and pace of play was great. The only complaint I have about the course is that the driving range is far too close to the 10th fairway and 18th green. A couple of balls went flying very close to me in the middle of the 10th fairway, and a couple came close to us on the 18th green. Netting should be installed immediately before someone gets banged in the head.

Great course! Very challenging, fun to play and in wonderful shape.
The reason for three stars is pace of play was insanely slow. A five-some was allowed on a weekend day which is ridiculous to me. Especially when that group can't even remotely keep up with the golfers ahead of them. Despite contacting the clubhouse nothing was ever said to the group in regard to them picking up the pace. At least I never saw anyone approach them. We were always a hole or more behind the bulk of the round. Four hours and forty minutes is a tad extensive particularly when it could have been avoided.

The course is in great shape, staff is friendly. I had a small problem running into the tail end of a scramble. But I was three holes ahead of the group behind me. I visited Oak Glen yesterday. The folks in the pro shop were great. The course was in pretty good shape. But this is where my day took a turn. Out on the course, the beverage card stopped by our group. They didnβt take cards at the cart unless you started a tab. No problem. I gave my card to the woman working the cart. We proceeded on our round. The second cart came around, and we were able to add additional drinks after my round I go out to close my tab, And they canβt find my card. Their system shows that she logged my tab so clearly she had my card and brought it in at some point. They checked everywhere but my credit card is nowhere to be found. I locked my card as soon as it was clear. I visited this course as a part of a long weekend and I was over 100 miles away from my house. Itβs 6 PM on Saturday, so obviously banks are closed. A woman introduced herself as one of the general managers made a comment about well sometimes things just happen. I thought that was a poor attitude. I eventually leave, and about 30 to 90 seconds after leaving I get a notification that the bank blocked a transaction by the golf course. They tried to run my tab after I left after losing my credit card. It really rubbed me the wrong way. I noticed that about two dozen cars were in the register. So my advice, be very careful with trusting them with your card. If you choose to go there bring cash.

Oak Glen Golf Course was the most beautiful venue for my son and his bride's wedding in July. Our coordinator Kelsey was amazing and available to help every step of the way. This was a destination wedding as the groom and bride live in Ohio and the families live in Wisconsin and Iowa. As MOG there was no stress as Kelsey took care of all the details. To start with you will find the venue beautifully landscaped with many options for pictures, including water features. Indoors you will find very comfortable and designed in neutral colors that will enhance any wedding decor. I loved the lights that cascade across the ceiling. I also loved the large windows throughout offering natural light. The bride and groom suites were well appointed for your wedding party offering plenty of room to get ready and just relax. Onsite accommodations offer breakfast, lunch and drinks for your wedding party. The wedding sites were private and allowed for a more personalized ceremony. The reception area and bar offered plenty of space for everyone to mix and mingle. We were invited to a food tasting in January to try all of the dinner options. There are so many options to choose from and everything was so delicious. It was hard to make a decision. The dinner service was great. There were plenty of servers to make sure everyone ate at the same time (credit to the chef and serving staff). The bar had unlimited options, making sure everyone was satisfied. The dance floor was large enough so everyone could celebrate the night away. The sound system was amazing. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Oak Glen Event Center offers many different options to accommodate everyone's different styles. I would not hesitate to have another event here if I am ever back in the area. The town of Stillwater is very quaint and there are some nice accomodations close by for your guests. Many thanks to Kelsey and staff for making this special day in my son's life so very perfect.

This is an isolated incident. Course in decent shape. Greens could be a little faster.
But most disappointed in fact I showed up for 1230 tee time and a 12 hole shotgun scramble was going off 1-12 holes. You canβt have public follow that till much later in day. I should have been notified and I would have played somewhere else. This was a major flaw on your courses decision. I wonβt be back for a long time. Thx.

We had our wedding reception at Oak Glen in April 2024 and it was PHENOMENAL. Kelsey was great at communicating, kind, answered all our questions, helpful, and flexible. You can tell she genuinely loves her job and cares about her couples. The getting ready space was perfect. The food was SO GOOD. Chef Mario and his team blew it out of the water. Our guests are still raving about it months later. The servers and bartenders were so kind and always checked in on us. The space itself is so beautiful and the included table settings and huge selection of colors elevated the space. We were so glad to have minimal decorating needs because the space and provided decor were stunning. Wish we could do it all over again at Oak Glen!

I experienced this venue as a wedding photographer. I shot here last weekend most recently, but Iβve had the pleasure of working a few weddings here. Personally speaking, the staff always makes me feel taken care of, like Iβm part of the crew. They make sure Iβve got enough water and other refreshments throughout the day. They also go out of their way to see that we are fed and that itβs enjoyable. I canβt say itβs like that at all the wedding venues. Iβd gladly book another wedding here in the future.

First time playing the whole 18. Greens had just been aerated and sanded which is a pain, but necessary. Course is beautifully maintained and a treat to look at. A drink/food cart would have been nice, but these days Iβm sure getting someone to do that job is more difficult. As a place to play golf, will definitely be back.

Fantastic customer service every time I visit the golf course. The staff are super friendly. They're welcoming and engaging. To me, that is what makes or breaks a golf course. It's probably why it's so hard to find a tee time at Oak Glen. On top of that, the course is well maintained. The fairways are beautiful. The greens are rolling true.

The course is a great course, we will be back have played it a few times already. Couple of minor things. On hole 13 up by the green you have the water by the little bridge I think you should have a barber pole marking the edge of the water, it can be tough to see if you are not use to the course. It was a great day but it took almost 5 hours to play. But it's a great lay- out and course and the people that work there are great. Thank you Shepherd

Course was in great condition, no beverage carts when we played. We were a foursome and were notified during the front nine that we should pick up the pace a bit; we finished the front nine exactly 2 hours and the round in 4 hours and 15 minutes so not sure why they thought we were slowing down play. Group behind us were a full hole back. So next time we will be looking for other places to play.

We had an early morning tee time and the first thing I saw while pulling into the parking lot was garbage all over from the night before. Then when playing there is no marshal out on the course so at one point there was three groups on the same tee box waiting to play. The course is in great shape thatβs where the 2 stars come from. But the worst thing of all was the bathrooms in the club house you walk in and get hit with a horrendous smell and with a closer look you can see mold growing on walls and in the sink.

The course was in good shape, I really enjoyed it. Except...it took just over 5 hours to play...frequently we were on tees with the group in front of us, and a couple of time the group in front of them. Very painful. I know course marshalls have a tough job but 5 hours is not fun.

Course is fairly priced and in good condition "except" for the condition of the greenside bunkers, which should be filled in if they (for years) have continued to not place a reasonable layer of sand into them versus the surface raking over mud and rocks that is performed!

We got married at the beginning of December, and we are so glad we chose Oak Glen as our wedding venue! The space itself is so open, but feels cozy with the wood beams and fire places. We had our ceremony indoors, and that space was flipped to house our remaining guest tables. We could very comfortably fit almost 300 guests, without it feeling crowded. Samantha was wonderful to work with during the planning process and helped everything run smoothly the day-of. Our food was delicious, and the bartenders and servers were fantastic. Compared to every venue we looked at, Oak Glen was much more affordable and there weren't any hidden fees like we found everywhere else. It was also great to have a one stop shop for our venue, food, and bar. We would highly recommend Oak Glen for your wedding - we loved it!

Golfing on Sunday was extremely aggravating. It seems that the times were not managed appropriately. I understand courses are busy however my years of golfing, I have never encountered a time where it took 3 hours for 9 holes (2:53 minutes to be exact). There should be rangers out to ensure groups are keeping pace. Also, allowing groups of 5/6 should not be allowed when itβs that booked. After the number of golfers per group were seen and the pace of play was significantly impaired I had to quit after the 10th hole were 3 groups were backed up at the box. It was sad, I have enjoyed the beauty and the challenges Oak Glen offers for a number of years, but this incident has me questioning on coming back.

We have scheduled 8 of our Last 10 Golf Outings with Oak Glen. They make the process very easy. The price is right, the food is great, and the set up second to none. The course was in very good shape also. Add to that the Great Weather, our Beer Cart Lady Kaitlyn, and the work of Jason and Trystan...and everybody had a fun time as always. I would suggest any company or private outings use this Golf Course. They really make you feel welcome. Plus the less I have to go on tournament day, the more time I have to focus on my Golf Game.
Thanks Again, and look forward to using you again in the Future.

My wife and I have played there twice this year. It is by far the best maintained golf course we have played. The greens are a test constantly of your ability to read them.
The course itself requires all the shots. Having been involved in the golf business for over 28 years, I am so impressed with the welcoming nature of the staff; from pro shop to maintenance.
Joe, the pro shop person, is the most welcoming person I have experienced in my years of golf.
I highly recommend this course. We traveled 60 miles to play it and will be booking again for sure.

Had a 9:14 tee time on Friday 8/5. When we got to the tee, there were 6 golfers out on the first hole! We were told 2 of them were going to join up with a group or groups in front of them. Only one moved to a group in front. So we had to play in back of a Five-some that had four walkers and one rider! It took an hour and 5 minutes to play the first 4 holes! It got a bit better after, but still slow after 9. I complained to the starter who went out and talked to the group, but they didnβt let us play through till the 13th hole! As it turned out, we finished our round in 4 1/2 hours, and nearly 2 full holes in front of this group. BTW - there were two foursomes in front of these guys, and we were told the five-some were all members. They should know better!!!!!

I've played here twice and have loved it both times. Great condition and fun layout. Also, I've had no problems with pace of play both times I've played here. I've teed off early morning though on the weekend both times. I know lots of reviews have complained about the pace so figured I'd put my two cents in. Under 4 hours both times. I'm assuming lots of the reviews complaining about pace were people playing during prime hours on the weekend with unrealistic expectations for pace of play considering their tee times. Anyway, great course and a PCC course at that so I can play 18 with a cart for 30.00 but this course is well worth the full rack rate.

Fun course, well maintained with tough greens for a cheaper course. There was a back-up at hole one and we had to wait 20 extra minutes to tee off because there was a "computer glitch" that double-booked 4 tee times slots ahead, and for some reason they let everyone play through instead of refunding/giving coupons to those that double-booked. Poor move by them, the course was stuffed and play was slow.

Fairways and greens are in good to excellent condition. The latest hot, dry weather is taking a toll. One complaint this time: the bridge over Brown's Creek at hole #16 needs work! A couple of the timbers are nearly rotted away. Fix it!
This is the last review or survey for me, unless you act on the repairs. Shame on you for leaving the unsafe bridge timbers.

This place is a clown car meaning they just try to pack as many people on it as possible. Today we had a 3 some and they tried to have another 2 some play with us. Booked us all at the same time. Then as we let the 2 some go, a solo walker walked up to the ranger and when was asked what was his tee time the solo replied βI donβt have one.β So they let him play by himself after us. So for 1 tee time there were 3 separate groups playing. Last year I played a 6 1/2 hour round because you wait 15 minutes to hit a ball because thereβs a group on the green, a group waiting to approach, a group waiting to tee off and a group waiting behind them. Itβs an absolute joke. 8 minute tee times with 6 somes. I will never play here again until something changes but it wonβt because someone in charge obviously doesnβt care about the pace of play, just the money they make.

We play a different course each week and always enjoy Oak Glenn. The course for how tough the daughter year made it was super. Greens fast but fair . Fairways were as plush green as any. We will be back. Price excellent. Not a member or associated with course so strictly feedback as a serious golfer. As a Realtor I enjoy Taking the walk as I golf and a nice mix of nature and housing but the homes don't take away from your golf experience. Enjoy around here, I think you will like your day no matter how you golf. Good course to walk or ride.
