Cool place for a kids birthday party.
Nice variety of obstacle courses are fun for many children’s ages. Bar height counters and stools surround the course for parents to sit at and observe.

The young staff were ok, not much customer service and told me I couldn’t pay at arrival because they expected a tip at the end…..! I was able to pay at the beginning though.

It’s a bit rundown and didn’t seem super clean, however it was ok for a 2-hour event. Call after making a reservation to make sure you receive the confirmation email and deposit receipt.

The party room is small, with no staff help.
I cleaned up the room at the end myself as I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to or not.

My child had an ankle sprain scare, but was able to make a quick recovery after the initial scare. Be careful on the mats as the edges of the squish down very easily and can cause sprains.

Went for the first time yesterday for open gym at Eden Prairie location. 10, 13, 15 and 17 year olds. First off the young man at the desk was awesome 👍. The young lady helping in the skills area was also cheerful and helpful to the smaller ones (not in our group) who were trying some of the bigger skill areas. At first glance I was wondering how my 10 year old was going to reach some of the rings, etc but he did. They also can move around the large mats to help with hight. Some areas pushed their skills which made it all the more gratifying when they accomplished it. We grabbed a few tshirts on the way out and we will be back with some other friends in the future.

First day today for my son. An admitted helicopter parent, I was anxious about today and a little grumpy when we first arrived because we had to drive through yet another snow storm. My son had a blast! It was open gym format, but he was helped by all the coaches that were there, all of whom were fun, supportive yet firm. Recommend!

Went here for an intro to obstacles class and was not impressed. I was looking to train for a Spartan race and get used to see of the obstacles that I would be experiencing. The class was filled with people who go there all the time and there is about 15 total minutes of instructions on the obstacles and the rest is just free time where all of the obstacles are taken over by people who already know how to do them.

Our (now) 12 year old daughter joined this gym when it opened, and it has had an extremely positive influence on her life. These aren’t classes where you sign up, and are shuttled through by whatever instructor is available like health club yoga or spin classes. These are classes with dedicated instructors and teammates who encourage and cheer each other on. There is a strong emphasis on self improvement and everyone there is genuinely excited when a member accomplishes a personal goal. By far the best ninja course out there. The guys running the program are super serious and dedicated and will sit the troublemakers out in an instant. They don't mess around as it would be very easy for a kid to injury themselves or others if not following the rules. This isn't a place for kids to come and run amuck. I have been training at Obstacle Academy for over a year now. I go once a week and it is so much fun! My focus is training for obstacle course racing. All of the instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable! I have learned so much and gained so much strength with my grip and on all of the obstacles since I have started. They have classes for all levels of athletes from beginners to advanced. The class I attend on Wednesday led by Sarah is very challenging, so if you are looking to go to the next level, come and check it out!

I started on a fitness journey this past summer for the first time in my adult life. But I pretty much hate exercising and would never go to a regular gym, it's too intimidating to me. I was so bored with the typical 'working out' stuff, but then came across obstacle type training and I was hooked! It's so much fun you don't hardly notice you're working out. The instructors and classes here are really great. Everyone is so nice, and it's not an intimidating environment at all. New Years is coming up, so work towards that resolution by checking this place out. You won't regret it, and you'll probably be hooked. And feel like a kid again with all the swinging around.

We have been to a few other Ninja Warrior places but this place is amazing. My son was in heaven the second we walked in the door and someone who he had just seen in the tv show was working. I love how he led them in a workout first before free time. He showed them how to do things and set up on obstacle course. My 6 and 8 year old had a blast and I can't say enough positives about the amazing time and care the staff took helping my kids learn how to do the obstacles and proper technique. We will definitely be back.

My son was invited to a birthday party here and had a blast, so much that he didn't want to leave! We were equally as impressed. The staff was really fun and engaging. The gym was very clean and had a plethora of activities and obstacles for all the kids. We will for sure be having our sons birthday party here next time! I also know they have many adult and kid classes as well and am eager to find out more about them!

Came here for an OCR class while in Minneapolis for the holidays. Overall great experience. Everyone on the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly.

The instructor (Josh) was knowledgeable, clearly had a well thought out workout, and helped me master the technique on the rings since I'm a newbie at this stuff. Would come back anytime for a fun and different type of workout regardless of if you're training for an OCR race or into Ninja training.

On of my favorite parts was the bouldering area. I am an avid climber and was impressed with the quality and upkeep of the routes. I visited Obstacle Academy for the first time this week. The class was a women only Clare, which made me feel very comfortable working out at the facility. There staff was very welcoming and helpful, showing me the ins and outs of the various events. The enrollment was easy going and fun, I want worried about not being able to keep up. I've only been once since we're not local, but my wife & I signed up for a Sunday morning class and were a little worried when we showed up and it was all kids and us. However, Coach Kyle was awesome and tailored our session to what we were looking to accomplish in our short time there. I have been training at Obstacle Academy for a few months. It has been a great experience seeing the gym evolve. They are constantly creating and adding new obstacles to challenge athletes of all skill levels. The staff is amazing and they do a great job training everyone from kids trying it for their first time to challenging advanced athletes to test their limits. Their number one priority is always safety and it is easy to see with the construction of their equipment and their placement of mats and pads. I love this place. I have been regularly going to Obstacle Academy in Edina for a couple months now and it has been well worth every cent. The gym is fantastic, the coaches are incredibly friendly and personable, and the price is reasonable. I was struggling to find a fun way to become fit. I never felt like going to the gym and working out at home wasn't doing it for me. Then I found Obstacle Academy. This place is exactly what I needed. It's not very often that I get excited about a new gym opening in the area, but Obstacle Academy is like nothing I've ever experienced before... it makes fitness FUN!
