I joined Orangetheory a few months ago because I needed something different from Planet Fitness—I was tired of feeling intimidated by creating my own workouts and struggling to use machines in an overcrowded gym. OT has completely changed the game for me.
The structured class format takes the guesswork out of working out, and the coaches, Katie and Martin specifically, are incredible at encouraging you to push yourself while offering modifications when needed. Having a dedicated class time with expert guidance has been a game-changer—I don’t have to think about what to do, and I know I’m doing the movements properly.
I also love that there are membership options to fit different budgets and the opportunity for one-on-one coaching if you want extra support. If you’re looking for a motivating, supportive environment (with banger playlists) where you can actually see progress without the stress of planning your own workouts, I highly recommend giving OT BP a try!

OTF brooklyn park is a studio which has great energy. The coaches at this studio has seen some changes however the current coaches are really good. Martin and Katie have great music taste and make sure your workout goes great. This studio is also newer so instruments and equipment are in great condition and are well kept. The showers amare kept clean and has some bathing accessories. Also there is plenty of free parking available so that's always welcome.
Do go to brooklyn park of you want to try otf workouts !!

Love the coaches and the members here! I feel supported and challenged in the best way. I wish I could go every day.
Update: I've been attending classes regularly for over a year now and I used the showers on site for the first time and they are so nice! The workouts and coaches and community are really the best though

OTF Brooklyn Park has been a welcoming, encouraging, and amazing place for me to restart my fitness journey. The coaches are incredible at guiding a self-paced workout and encouraging me to push myself. I love the group fitness aspect of the workout but also that’s it’s always me vs. me with not comparison to other members. I’m so thankful I finally gave OTF a try after driving by it for over a year. Don’t be intimidated, come workout with us!

I absolutely love this place! The coaches are great!! They have motivated me to increase my speed, strength, endurance and most of all confidence and self esteem while dropping size and weight. I’ve been able to go from high risk body mass index to better than average in less than 1 year! I literally tell everyone about Orange theory fitness! It’s life changing!

Long story short: A HAPPY WONDERFUL SAFE PLACE TO LEARN, GROW, AND THRIVE.
I was dealt with some tough cards this year, and I knew I needed to finally start taking care of myself.
In my quest for a fresh start in life, on June 10, 2024, I had my first day at Orangetheory Fitness in Brooklyn Park. I will be forever grateful for my friend that invited me. It just happened to be the first day of a 12 week challenge, "Summer Shred." The sticker chart was everything to me. 🙂
I hesitantly signed up for a month to month contract because I didn’t trust myself to commit to anything more. I was a chronic gym drop out previously- too overwhelming and not fun at all. But OT isn't a gym... these are coach lead, guided fitness classes that are completely customizable to your needs/abilities. I was hooked quickly.
To walk into a place every day where I feel welcome and cared for is absolutely priceless. I feel at home in the studio because the Coaches have guided me on best form, pushed me to do more than I thought I was capable of, and have been the best teachers and cheerleaders I could have ever asked for. They celebrated with me when I ran an entire minute for the first time. And recently, I ran for an entire 37 minutes and completed a 5k on Thanksgiving. I drove straight to the studio to show off my medal and thank them.
I surprise myself every day. I’m proud of myself every day. I feel good every day. There are continuous new wins to celebrate. The music is always fun. The staff are always smiling and interactive; they are so dear to me. The members are kind and inspiring to meet. And no matter how much life is swirling and churning around me, I always make sure I treat myself to a one-hour class in my happy place. It is such a lovely community.
One hour for myself every day has been transformative. Along with my physical transformation, I have my true happy self back. I have new confidence and determination, I laugh and have fun so often, and I hold a refreshed, positive, and healthy outlook on life. I’m marching into my next chapter like Beyonce on a catwalk!
I have lost 30 pounds. I went from 40% body fat to 27%. I have gained six pounds of muscle.
P.S. I just want to thank the staff/Coaches.... Kate, Carmina, Katie, Zak, Martin, Stevie... you're the absolute best.

I've been attending OTF few months now, and I can confidently say it's been a game-changer for my fitness journey! The workouts are challenging, but fun, and the coaches are incredibly motivating and knowledgeable. Shout out to Coach Stevie for helping me finish my first Dri-Tri. I love seeing my progress with each class and the community vibe is great accountability! The studio is always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this gym!

I truly don’t think I have enough words to describe how much I love OTF- Brooklyn Park!! From the kind front desk workers, to the engaging coaches, I always know my hour at Orange Theory is going to be a highlight of my day. No matter what is going on in my personal life, the coaches meet me where I am at, check in frequently, and help me become the best version of myself. I don’t see this as a gym, I see this as a home away from home, with amazing music, good vibes and wonderful community. As a former college athlete, I was looking for somewhere I could be challenged while also have a supportive group of people around me. This is the perfect combination, focusing on you vs you to reach any and all of your fitness and health goals!! Not to mention, there are great social events to get to know the person on the treadmill beside you! So overall, 10/10 recommend!!!!!

I really enjoy getting workouts in at OTF BP. I appreciate all the coaches there, which allows me flexibility there as I'm not trying to "avoid" certain coaches or timeslots. I've gone to 12 orangetheory studios across the US so far, and as far as layout goes, BP is my favorite one. Very spacious.

Lately there has been some changes at this location that now I find not pleasant. Seven months ago I gave this location five stars now I am taken that away. Here are my current reasons.
1. Before all the good coaches left. They would have the same coach for two days in a row for the evening classes. Now there is a different coach everyday.
2. This brings me to my next point. There are two coaches that are not good. Members have complained about them. So guess what happens no one shows up to the class.
3. Some coaches don’t like feedback. Then they get in their feelings and then ignore you during their class.
4. Don’t get me wrong there is a coach or two that’s good. Martin’s classes do get full in Brooklyn Park. Brooklyn Park’s 90 minute class on Sundays not busy, but Martin’s class in St. Louis Park on Sundays …. You are on a waiting list.

Top notch fitness experience. Studio managers and coaches are amazing and ALWAYS have a smile on their face. They each take time out of their day to make sure each individual has the tools needed to reach their fitness goals, whatever they may be.
Equipment is extremely well maintained and the studio is always spotless. Can’t say enough good things!!

OrangeTheory BP is a very supportive, friendly place to work out. Lots of time options for classes. It also offers lift classes (floor work only, no tread or row) that I enjoy. Give it a try!

I have never felt the need to leave a negative review until now
The coaches and staff are great, unfortunately not as much can be said for the ownership.
I've been trying to transfer my membership to a location that is best for my family for over 6 weeks and they've been nothing but difficult. The transfer is a simple process. I know this because I've verified with other locations.
This is not the service or care I've experienced at the many other locations I've been to and I also know it's not representative of Orange Theory's philosophy.
For this reason I wouldn't recommend this location.

The commercials need to stop showing fit people running…. This is intimidating and not an accurate depiction… I had been lying on my couch for 8 months (due to an injury) and doing nothing for my fitness. I joined and have made huge improvement in my fitness in 3 months. OTF is actually a very accommodating, encouraging, and diverse place. I feel supported every step. You do not have to run to workout here! Walking in the treadmills is 100% ok! No one is judging you here!

I've never stepped foot in an OTF before this year. I always saw them around town, but never really thought much about it. With this location opening up right next to home, I thought I'd give it a try. I joined with the intention of just taking 8 classes a month, but after my first class, I immediately signed up for the premium membership. I love the group classes. Even though I don't really interact with others, it's fun to have others around who are suffering as much as I am during the workout. :) I would highly recommend this location because it's nice and clean. Very friendly environment and awesome coaches.

I am so grateful OTF opened a location so close to me! This studio is extremely welcoming to people of all fitness abilities. It has completely changed the way I perceive my workouts and has motivated me to be more consistent. I NEVER used to be a morning workout person until Kody talked me into a 5am class one day.
The coaches are all awesome in their own ways. I love Martin’s classes - the rap music specifically 😎
You can’t go wrong with this location!!

I am a fairly sedentary person and stare at a computer screen all day for work. It takes a lot of will power for me to workout. I need motivation and accountability. Cue OTF and their no brainer approach to working out. I used to say “I’m not a runner” but OTF has changed this attitude.
I used to (and still LOVE to) go to SLP cause I’m a huge fan of Croy and the other coaches there. I was going 4-6 days a week for a few years prior to the pandemic. They worked with me on medical leave several times throughout my time there due to some issues with cough/infertility and pregnancy loss. I really love the staff.
After hearing that the BP location was opening just a mile from home, I couldn’t WAIT. I signed up for Unlimited right away. They opened this past Monday and had a great weekend of VIP classes for founding members. I LOVE the setup of this particular gym. So far, everyone I met has been great, members and staff included. A few specific coaches I like already are Jodi, Taylor and Kory! I am so excited to continue to work with them.
