My experience with Orange Theory Fitness in Plymouth has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing, particularly in regards to canceling my membership.

Initially, I took all the necessary steps: I had a phone conversation with a staff member and even visited in person to ensure everything was settled. I specifically asked if any documents needed signing and was assured that I "should be all settled."

Despite this assurance, I continued to be billed for several months after I thought my membership was canceled. Resolving this issue turned into a lengthy ordeal involving multiple frustrating phone calls. Each time I called, I spoke to different people, and none of them seemed to have any updates or resolution to offer. This lack of communication and coordination within their staff only added to my frustration.

When I finally managed to escalate the issue, the best they could offer was one month reimbursement or credit for classes. However, my reason for leaving Orange Theory was not because I wanted to join another gym; it was simply because my work schedule and commute had changed.

Overall, my experience with Orange Theory in Plymouth has been a letdown. They really dropped the ball on something that should have been simple. I would advise anyone considering a membership at this location to be cautious and insist on getting written confirmation of their cancellation to avoid encountering similar issues.

It's no wonder that place is a "flagship" of the Orangetheory fleet! Besides being clean and tidy, well organized and accessible, this location is made even better by its exceptional staff. Joe was the most attentive, informative employee anyone could hope for. He managed the front area with warmth, wisdom, and grace. As each new client came in, Joe greeted them by name, asked specific questions of many (showing his relationship with the clients and genuine care), and helped everyone in a timely and efficient manner. Then, we stepped into class and were thrilled to be in the hands of "coach" Noah! He took good care of everyone, shared the routines with clarity and brevity, inspired us all, and also knew his clients personally.We have been to a few Orangetheory locations throughout the US, and Plymouth, MN was a top-notch experience!

I’ve been working out most of my life and recently started Orangetheory Fitness for my primary workout. It’s offered me a wide variety of classes consisting of strength, endurance, and power that helps reduce body fat, while building lean muscle. It’s an excellent workout and so fun! I was prescribed by my coach to attend 5 classes a week, as that will be crucial to helping me reach my goals. (You’ve got to put in the work to get the results!). The entire Plymouth team is great at making me feel comfortable and help cater my workouts to fit my goals and needs. Whether you’re new to working out, or have a long history of it, Orangetheory Fitness is a great workout for all fitness levels. The heart rate based workouts are a great way of tracking progress and performance and would highly recommend purchasing a monitor when you join as it’s a crucial part of the process. I have the unlimited membership and I can go as many times as I want! I’ve found that pre-booking my workouts is a great way to get in the classes I want before they fill, while also holding me accountable to make it to my 5 classes a week. I love my Orangetheory Family and can’t wait for my next workout!

When I stepped into OTF Plymouth for my first class, I was a bit intimidated. I was not much of a class person and I was not in my best physical shape. Six plus years later and I am still thanking the friend that introduced me. The classes are consistently challenging but better than that is the comradery they generate, regardless of fitness level. Cannot say enough great things about the coaches and staff members. They each bring their own great energy and enthusiasm. In fact, I still continually remind myself of something that a coach once said, "nothing changes if nothing changes". This has become my mantra, in class and out.

It was a little over 2 months ago and I had just returned from a family trip where I had stuffed myself to the point of feeling sick just looking at food. Between turning 40, being 245 pounds, and finding out some family members just a couple years older already taking diabetes meds, I needed to do something. I started looking around at options to help me get back to shape. Home options (there are so many of them now), regular gym (personal training has gotten incredibly costly), or other gyms(here’s where my interest peaked).

I had heard about orange theory from a family member and called their Plymouth location and spoke to Coach Quinn. He informed me of a free class to try out. I started the next day. With that, it has been almost three months and I’m going 5 times a week.

I’m on the path of loosing 45 pounds by the end of October. I love how I’m able to monitor my own performance throughout the class. It helps me to know how much more I can push myself. I love the coaches. I love when we complete the final all out too :) ! The class gives you the sense of personal training with a reasonable cost in a fun way.

Don’t take my word for it, take the free class and let’s see how well you do! And if you want to join me, I’ll see you 5 days a week at 5am. See you soon!

I love this Plymouth location! All the trainers are very supportive and very helpful. I also enjoy the workouts with the 3G and 2G options/stations. I feel like I worked every part of my body. The workout is great, but good luck ever cancelling your membership if you have a medical issue. Due to a medical procedure, I have gone back and forth between suspending my membership multiple times over a two year period and eventually cancelled my membership. I was then charged for a month of classes 7 months later without any notice, and when I called to inquire about it and ask for a refund, the customer service from the Plymouth location and at the corporate level was disappointing to say the least. Apparently my cancellation was marked as another suspension and I ultimately had to get my bank involved to dispute the charge. Customer service should be #1, and it was made plainly obvious that their standards are a one size fits all approach rather than looking at a case by case basis. I even requested transferring the classes to my wife who is a member but that was shot down too. I was originally planning to return to OTF again, hence the two years of suspending my membership, but they lost a customer in me.

I tried LT Fitness and self exercise routine, but nothing worked as well for me as OTF! I personally like small classes and personal training approach. I love the fact that employees do know my name. It gives you a feel of a small community. I like the diversity in work-outs. Yes, it is more money than LT or LA Fitness, or YMCA, but for me it worse the money.
Just a friendly advise to all new members, ask as many questions prior to signing any papers. Make sure you understand what you getting for your money and what are your responsibilities as a member. This way you will avoid many headaches and won't leave your frustration online.
Will I recommend to try OTF, ABSOLUTELY!

(5) variations in exercises from a 'beginner' level to an 'expert' level, so you can choose the correct comfort (or rather the "discomfort") workout for yourself and keep pushing yourself from there.
(6) heart rate monitor display live on TV screen to show your live performance.
(7) flexibility in choosing your class timings as well as locations.
(8) Friendly front desk staff always willing to help and find a solution to any problem.
(9) group fitness psyche - helps the hour to pass by quickly so to speak.

I have been a member of this gym for 5 years, and have enjoyed the classes for the most part, the trainers are very pleasant. I have had some encounters with the some of the newer front desk staff that have been very rude. I am also disappointed with the lack of understanding when I put my membership on hold and now have to cancel due inability to use my membership. I have had my membership on hold for 2 months and at the request of cancelling they want to charge me a full months for my last month, which I cannot use to attend classes due the reasons I have put my membership on hold. When I was trying to discuss this over the phone with the front desk staff the lady was quite rude, and had zero understanding that I CANNOT USE this last month. I would expect better especially with my long standing at the facility.

Love, love, love this studio! Started my OT journey here almost 2 years ago! From the beginning I felt like this OTF staff was a part of my family. Last fall we moved to the southwest metro; unfortunately that has kept me from frequenting the Plymouth location as much as I used to. However, that hasn't changed the fact that the trainers are awesome...seriously, they are AWESOME! They are fun, friendly and so knowledgeable! The workouts are beyond awesome...no repeats and no thinking on your part! You just do as the trainer says and if they say, "more weight", well...you try and do more weight. They push me to a place that I would seldom go on my own.

I have been going to OTF for almost 5 years, and I can't recommend it enough! The Plymouth staff is phenomenal! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping you achieve your fitness goals. The studio is the perfect size to accommodate a max of about 30 participants. Every time you go to a class, the routine is always different. No two classes are ever the same, which I very much enjoy as I tend to get easily bored or distracted while working out. The camaraderie and atmosphere are both very welcoming and inviting, and extremely tolerant. I have been completely turned off in the past of gyms that made you feel inadequate or uncomfortable with your body or athletic ability. That is not the case with the staff and participants at the OTF Plymouth location. Just try one class, and believe me, you will be hooked!

OTF has helped me to lose all my baby weight within a few short months!! I was shocked when the weight just kept falling off after my 2nd baby. It was so much easier to lose this time and I only had to go about 2-3x/week to see results! Wes, Croy, and Quinn are my favorite trainers at OTF Plymouth. Wes is also fantastic at helping you come up with an easy and doable meal plan! So happy with my results!
