Incredible community and the best workout you’ll ever need! Proud to call this location my home studio - I’ve visited dozens of OTF studios but the St. Louis Park crew always brings the positive energy from the moment you arrive! Thank you to Callie, Maris, Martin, Doug, Anna, Tay, and the whole team for being friendly and encouraging - especially when I need it most. You’re the best!

Love the workouts and most trainers are awesome! For that alone it is highly recommended and indeed a life changing condition.
However...
Charging and class cancellation policy is terrible, with your bill getting charged insanely for things. Things like water: the water cooler has undrinkable and warm water but they sell you a bottle for $5. Elite membership allows you to have unlimited classes, but if you don't make it to class or if you cancel out of courtesy so someone else can have the spot, a cancellation fee applies as high as the class charge itself. Rental service offered for their own heart rate trackers in case yours runs out of juice is another $5.
If it was not for the amazing coaches there I would have left after certain incidents. And I am still considering it, after the last surcharge on a cancelled class i could not reschedule.

I was a personal trainer over 10 years ago and since Covid, I started to lose motivation at the gym. I don’t like group fitness classes, but I knew I needed something to get me back into my workouts. I tried an Orange Theory class and loved it so much, I signed up the same day. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s totally worth it! Only complaint is that Coach Tay isn’t at St. Louis Park enough! ;)

Even though they offer a free month, they are not clear on what that means. If you don’t make it to 12 classes, they charge you for the next month. It’s in the paperwork, but they’re not explicit about it and no one made that clear to me beforehand. I called to dispute it and they wouldn’t work with me and were not understanding. So I’m out a lot of money and they wouldn’t refund it. The classes are great, but I don’t appreciate the poor customer service. I was excited to start in the fall after I was done with marathon training, but I will not be going back. They lost me as a future customer.

Updated review. I gave Orangetheory another try after trying out some other gyms. It was a fun time. I was able to follow along a lot better after getting used to the format at other smaller gyms. I still really have trouble figuring out what I'm supposed to do on the treadmill, but rowing and floor exercises have videos or progressions written out for you. The layout is pretty crowded. I had to step over people to get weights, and during exercises I was bumping into other people. The coaches did a great job at checking in and correcting form. I wouldn't recommend this as your first gym. You'll be happier starting somewhere where you can really do your own workout, then once you have some confidence, shift over here. There's a few individual restrooms with showers, stocked with shower products. So you can shower and change here, but plan on some extra time. You'll want to bring your own towel and water bottle for the workout. You can but a towel for $5 if you need one. The heart rate monitor is free for your first visit, then $5 rental each time, or $120 to buy it (which you can split into monthly payments). I'd recommend having the monitor to have an indication of how hard you're pushing yourself. On the rowing machine and treadmill, there's a display to show your heart rate zone. For the floor workout, you can see on the TVs. Parking is a little awkward to figure out. Park toward the southeast corner of the lot in front of Office Depot, then walk along the east side of the building to get to the door.

I've been working out at Orangetheory SLP since 2021 and have completed hundreds upon hundreds of classes there - a true testament to how awesome this studio is!
I love not having to figure out my own workouts and the coaches here are excellent at explaining what to do and keeping everyone motivated throughout class. Croy, Martin and Anna are my personal faves, but you truly can't go wrong with ANY of the team - they're all stellar!
The community I work out with is also awesome - it's a very friendly group and I love that all fitness levels are present and welcome at the studio.
If you're thinking about trying class, I would highly recommend it!

I LOVE my Orange theory in St Louis Park because it's truly a community. The coaches are highly skilled and invested in your progress (and they're all super friendly, fun, encouraging and helpful). I procrastinated joining because I thought I’d be too old (50s) for this type workout. OTF is great for any age. I look forward to my workouts each week. Since joining, my physical and mental health has never been better.

** OTF SLP is like a second home **
Without a doubt, this studio is the premier Orange Theory Fitness in the Twin Cities. From the warmth and hospitality the moment you walk in the door (I'm looking at you, Peyton, Studio Manager extraordinaire), to the energy and excitement on the gym floor (I'm looking at you, Anna, Croy, Zach, Doug, Martin and the rest of my extremely knowledgable and endlessly appreciated OTF coaching fam). If you're someone who thrives on community, welcomes others on your health journey, and are ready to make a real difference in your life in a totally different way, OTF SLP should 100% be on the top of your list.

I love this place! I was initially hesitant about signing up because the monthly fee was a bit higher than other gyms. But it is well worth it. I am so motivated to come in as much as possible so the money feels worth it. Since coaches tell you what to do, I don't have to think too hard about what exercises to do like I did when I went to gyms before, so I'm much more efficient during the hour long classes. The coaches are all so friendly and helpful. And I like that you can sign up for classes in advance, as it is extra motivation to show up. And I like that it is nationwide. I made so much progress here and I'm so happy I found this place!

I’m relatively new to OTF St Louis Park and if you’re on the fence about trying a class, this is your sign to stop reading this review and book a class. I have been telling anyone who will listen that these classes are the highlight of my week. The coaches are amazing - Anna, Zach, Martin (to name a few) are not only knowledgeable, engaging, and energetic but they are FUN and down to earth. Anna makes me laugh genuinely every class. And Peyton keeps the show running. It’s clear that this studio is equally about the people as it is the workout. Come for the endorphins, stay for the new family!!

I did not take a class there, so I can't review that. However, I was going to take one, but I felt off about it. That is because the trainer there would not tell me the price upfront, that was a red flag. He also pressured me into staying. I did not want to, I felt sort of intimidated by the other people. He did not take no for an answer until I was half-way out the door. Overall, it was weird and I felt like the whole vibe was off.

I've been working out at OTF SLP for about 4 months now. The first 2 months of workouts were really intense as my body was recovering from having a baby, but all the coaches took (and continue to take) the time to help with my form and offer modifications as needed. I've really loved the personalized coaching and motivation I get from each coach, and I feel stronger and happy every time I leave class. I had been a member at OTF since 2019 and rejoined after the pandemic in 2021. When I cancelled my membership last fall/winter, I was notified to settle on one payment that did not go through before my membership ended. I had done so and was not notified for any missing payments after that.
6-7 months later, my card was charged - with no communication to me whatsoever - two different times for a total of almost $200 because the person that terminated my membership didn’t check to see if anything else was outstanding - as they had told me the one payment I settled up on, was all that was due. After multiple calls, they didn’t care to help, apologize or even slightly refund me for not notifying me of my card being charged long after I was a member.
I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, as I had always loved OTF but will not be returning ever again due to this situation.

I became a founding member of this studio back in July 2018 many months before the studio even opened. I had began my search for a gym that would fit my needs. I would have considered myself a beginner at the gym not knowing how to use equipment or what exercise to do together for a good workout. Therefore I decided I would like someone coaching me for workouts. When looking into personal training the cost is extremely high. Then I found group fitness classes and decided to give OTF a try.
OTF offers a setting where you can get direction from coach as well as have them correct your form but at a fraction of a cost of personal training. The coaches are very knowledgeable and are able to make modifications for the exercises for whatever your needs are. Not a runner no problem go ahead and power walk on the treadmill.
The variety day to day makes it so no workout is the same and throws in speciality workouts throughout the month as well as benchmarks that you can track your progress over time. One of the best things as well is the number of studios and classes that are available with your membership. Monday - Thursday this studio offers classes as early as 5 am and and as late as 8 pm. Additionally, with your membership it allows you to visit other studios across the nation with no additional cost.
Never in a million years did I expect when I went to sign up for a membership that I would be going 5+ days a week for over 3 years.

I absolutely love being an OTF member. The price seems steep at first but if you've ever paid for personal training before, this is a much better and more affordable solution. It's like personal training in a group setting, great music, and an awesome staff that is there to help you meet your goals. Also, one-on-one coaching outside of class is complimentary with your membership to get measurements, talk about goals, chat about obstacles, etc.
In one year, with doing one-on-one coaching sessions at least once a month, I lost 30lbs and 15% bodyfat.

I’ve been going to Orange Theories for 5 years.
Pros: I really enjoy the workout and the accountability aspect. It really sucks that you get charged $12 when you cancel, but it helps me structure my days and ensure I go when I say I’m going to go.
I also like the system of displaying your heart rate on the screen. It pushes you to work hard, but if I show up and am not feeling well for whatever reason. I don’t feel any pressure to work harder than I’m comfortable with.
I really appreciate the coaches and their positive attitude. I go to orange theory to destress from work, and it really works well.
Cons: The music has always been awful. I feel like I’m not the target demographic of the music, but some days I’m like who is enjoying this?

You really couldn't ask for a better bunch! The staff are so positive and encouraging, engaging and sincere. The workouts are great! I've done everything from boot camp style workouts (and actual boot camp), cross fit, to personal training, and OTF is the best. So organized, well planned, professionally led, and competitive - if you want that. The real time tracking, or feedback, satisfies my OCD/ instant gratification instinct too. It's also reasonably priced. So glad OTF is back! 😊

Love, love, love Orangetheory!! It's so refreshing to finally find a workout routine that not only gets you the results you've always been wanting, but is extremely fun, motivating, addicting, and holds you accountable! It's seriously the best workout for all ages and fitness levels. Can't say enough great things about this studio and organization as a whole! I will be a fan of OTF for life!!

I am obsessed with Orange Theory!! I also love the convenient location that opened up here across from my work! I should honestly be a sales person I talk them up ALL the time and how great it has been for me. I've already gotten 5 other people to sign up too! Everything from the accountability, the coaches, the technology, the format, the convenience, and the offering of classes everyday all day - make this an amazing place and community to be a part of!

Up until a year ago, when I joined Orangetheory, I was a fitness studio hopper. I've tried many studios in the Twin Cities, either through memberships, class packs, or ClassPass. Orangetheory is the only one that I can see myself belonging to for the long-term. Even though each class follows the same format (treadmill, rower, floor), the workouts vary enough to keep my easily-bored self engaged. The coaches are fantastic and motivating — making the classes challenging enough for in-shape athletes and accessible enough for beginners.

I've always been afraid to push myself and as a result never do. Watching my monitor and seeing the numbers gives me the ability to see that I am ok and it calms my anxiety. I like seeing the moment by moment information more than I could have imagined!

Croy was awesome for a first time visitor. He showed me how to use the equipment before class, encouraged me (by name) during class -- including technique suggestions, and reviewed my performance data after our cool down/stretch. Great experience for a newbie!

I've tried every workout to man with success, but I needed a change. I was bored with my normal fitness routine, so my husband and I tried Orangetheory and LOVED IT! The workout was intense but doable with great instruction. We had so much fun. We're HOOKED!

I enjoy getting live result of my effort every time I come in for a workout. What I love the most is the never repeating workouts, it’s something new every time you go for an OTF class.

I am a runner, that’s what I do. But I knew I needed to add in more in to my exercise routine to better myself as a runner. I tried Orange Theory because I new it incorporated a good portion of cardio. I enjoy the trainers telling me what to do and how to do it. I use to wander around the gym and try to understand the equipment and do workouts I saw online. This didn’t work for me. Orange theory is such a good addition to my exercise routine and it allows me to incorporate in weights and other forms of cardio that will only help me become a better runner.

I’ve been a member at the Woodbury studio for over two years and started here in October. Although Woodbury will always be home, this location is close to my work. Corey and the rest of the front desk staff are awesome. This place is one of the bigger studios with two showers and it’s immaculately clean. I go at 5 am on weekdays and the coaches are energetic and fun. I highly recommend this studio!!

I love guidance of intervals, routine, early 5am classes, always a different workout everyday. I hate but love the commitment of 8 hour cancellation, play or pay (have done both) - always gets me to class. I am hooked on how the data drives my next workout, as they say, if you can track it, you can measure it and then improve it.
I love the overall LOVE/HATE feeling of each intense workout and above all else I am seeing & feeling results :)

The coaches are great! Very odd that there is such a high turnover with all the other employees. Aside from the coaches not one person is still there from when I started in October 2018. I find this very sad and disappointing.

Brand NEW location, opened only 67 days ago. All NEW updates OTF equipment, some challenges with layout, snow and salt in the waiting area and damp floors due to lack of humidifiers but they'll get it worked out. Gals at the front desk are very nice. Will visit again!

I give this studio a 3.5 star rating. The main reason is that the studio is way too small for 42 people in a 3G class. If I were them, I’d remove 2 treds, 2 rowers, and two floors sections.
Very difficult to put in a good effort on the floor with that many people. Today everyone had to modify the Y raises to I raises because of the limited space.
The the weights for each floor section only go up to 20lbs. So I have to go get heavier weights, which is normal, but they only have 1 set of heavier weights. So with 42 people, you’re either using too light or too heavy of weights.
Also the lobby is tiny and when its between classes its a cluster.
On a positive note, very friendly staff that knows you by name. Good coaches as well.
