The team is top-notch, the facility is very clean & well-maintained. The HydroMassage beds in the Black Card Spa (this is an upgraded membership level) are exactly the same thing that my chiropractor offers but at a fraction of the cost! I use HydroMassage both before & after a chiropractor appointment. Planet Fitness offers an extensive line of modern equipment to help me meet my health recovery goals.

Lilly in particular is an overachiever. She can assist multiple customers simultaneously. She also does with such grace and style. Lilly really needs to be cloned and installed in every Planet Fitness location. I honestly cannot say enough about this staff member. Overall, the rest of the staff is efficient, and the location is kept very clean. However, Lilly is a star.

This was my ‘home location’ for a long time, I started going to a different location due to it being closer to work.
I came back to this location this weekend and I can honestly say I’m not sure what happened.
The parking lot is trashed , the machines are old and crappy (half of them missing the knobs to make adjustments on the machines) , the 30 min work out area is missing a machine and the step up in the center were just all pilled in the the middle (does not look welcoming) only one of the deep tissue massage chairs work, and stand up tanning bed missing handle on inside to exit ?
Highly recommend going to another location , I definitely will drive farther to a more up to date functional location.

You could send out an employee to pick up trash in the parking lot in front of your gym. I’m sure the owner of the parking lot wouldn’t mind at all since it’s your customers trash . Just saying . But good way to shift the blame on to someone else and not take accountability. Or even acknowledge any of the issues I stated.

This fitness club is the best in Apple Valley hands down. I've been to most of them and none of them had attendants like Planet Fitness Apple Valley. Jared & Tonja the overnight crew always cleaning & checking that everyone in the gym is having a safe a sanitary space to workout. I go in the early am & they are always alert & attentive to the needs of the club & it's guest they make you feel like welcomed family. If you ever had a bad experience at any other fitness club or even at this one in the pm hours I would advise you to check out PF and its late night crew & you won't be disappointed. Completely unethical business. Had a free trial at Xperience. After they closed, PF automatically charged me monthly fees for several months. Never once stepped foot in the place. They will not refund the money to make it right. Look at other reviews and you will see this is a very common situation.

They also make it very difficult to cancel memberships and even after doing so, will still charge you monthly membership fees. I’ve had several friends that continue to get charged a membership fee after cancelling several times. Their employees have even admitted that this situation “happens a lot”.

PF is an absolute money grab of a business and lacks any customer service or ethics. STAY FAR AWAY! Pick literally any other gym.

Xperience fitness closed and automatically transferred all of my information and membership to planet fitness without any notice whatsoever. Not even an email. I called to cancel once I had discovered there was a charge to planet fitness. Long story short, they did not cancel any charges. I talked to multiple people who said they were literally canceling everything and refunding it while I was on the phone, it never happened. I still got charged. Zero stars, would not recommend.
Keeping this review up until my refund is in hand.

Xperience Fitness closed and automatically transferred my membership to Planet Fitness and started billing me automatically when I had paused my billing at Xperience Fitness. Customer service at this location was nice enough to easily cancel my membership but transferred me to Planet Fitness Corporate for a refund where it was clear there was no intention of helping anybody whatsoever. I have been to this planet fitness more than once and the showers have never been warm. The handles are also loose and the floors appear to be dirty looking. I think I'll shower at home from now on.

Some of the machines also creak and when using the machine the motions dibt feel fluid. The seats for the lat pull downs are also to low and cant be adjusted to raise higher, causing me to have to reach for the bar making it uncomfortable.

I came in to use the tanning beds but Lilly the manager told me that she couldn't sell me a bottle of tanning lotion. Her system was down. I asked her to give me a single packet of the tanning lotion for my inconvenience, also so I could use the tanning service that I pay for monthy. She would not compromise with me and I wasted my time, gas coming here today. Ridiculous those single packs are next to nothing

Always greeted by staff when entering. Gym area and locker rooms are clean. Other members rarely acknowledge you, completely focused on their own work out. It really does seem like a judgement free zone.
Black Card member area is quieter in terms of # of people. The space is used for some storage, which is a bit disappointing but it is never in the way. Water massage chairs and table are my favorite. The tanning bed rooms were clean and comfortably sized, but tanning really isn't my thing. Haven't used the other Black card membership services.
The hair dryer is the ladies locker room broke several months ago and has not been replaced. The shower heads have wonky water pressure and dribble, as though they have mineral build-up in the heads. A good vinegar soak would probably fix them on the cheap. The showers are clean. The wall hooks in the private changing rooms are loose and need to be repaired too. Otherwise, those rooms are nice and clean too, reasonably sized, and have a chair in each for member use.

From there variety weights and cardio equipment to the locker room options whether it is a quick in and out or feel like a shower to wash up after a good workout. They have it all. Also options for fitness classes and personal training hookups. But that's not all after a rocking workout say you want ten minutes to dedicate to relaxing those muscles to cool down black card members can pop into one of many massage chairs or bed either water or your typical massagers. But still not all, winters here and say you'd like to keep that cool 😎 summer skin tan! Your also in luck with a nice selection of beds to catch some color, both stand up and lay down! But the part that really makes it a TD for me is the welcoming workers (just a great group). Always friendly and extremely helpful and dedicated to you. My own personal favorite part of my membership though is the giant can of grape 🍇 Tootsie rolls at the welcome desk yum yum yum 😋 very impressed with planet fitness "apple valley" only had my membership for a week but instantly satisfied with my decision to get a membership. And say you got a buddy that can't justify the small monthly payment of only $24.99 for a black card membership or one of the other even cheaper options. No worries! If your a black card member you can bring a guest free of charge "EVERY" Every time you go! Also earn free months for referring friends! Feel free to put me down for your reference AARON MOURNING !!! Enjoy using the varied pieces of equipment. No matter when I arrive, I typically can get a well-rounded workout with little waiting. The massage beds finish off the workout in a most relaxing way. Tanning beds and red light rooms are available. The facility is always immaculate. The only downside is the wait for equipment to be repaired runs too long. Membership fees can't be beat!

I go after work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.Every time I go in Jared always greats me and remembers me, he asks how I am and chats about my workout. I have seen him do this with about every one who comes in and he knows pretty much everyone’s name. He’s always either greeting customers or cleaning, he is the only one I have seen clean the showers. Hands down one of the best employees I have seen from anywhere. I have been ordered by my chiropractor to not work out until he gets my spine repaired.
I went in to cancel tonight and they refused to give me any sort of refund though I haven’t been able to work out and said since I’m canceling after the 25th they will need to charge me the annual fee as well.

The assistant manager I was talking to told me this is all in the contract I signed and that his manager will just tell me the same thing.

When I signed the contract I didn’t expect to have a medical issue causing me to discontinue working out.

Terrible customer service and no care about retention or gaining a customer again.

I would rather go with a more expensive club that I know from experience will handle customer service way better.

I needed to freeze my account due to pregnancy and when I called to let them know, the staff told me I needed to sign in person. I went into the store that afternoon and explained my intentions and asked if there was a penalty if I canceled, Sydney, the staff member, told me there was not. I chose to cancel instead of freeze. After I signed, there was a payout fee of $58. I asked her what was going on and Sydney said I thought you were a black card member... I had already given her my phone number to look up my information at the beginning and she shirked her responsibility saying she didn't know I was a regular member. And this cancelation can't be withdrawn. Another staff member came by and said the manager would call me the next day. I received a call today from Jassica, the manager, and the resolution was that we can't withdraw the cancellation! If Sydney hadn't given me the wrong information, I would have had the option to freeze the account with no fees at all, so why should I pay this fine for their employee's negligence? The manager's attitude and solution was also extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. Shame on having an organization like this in our community!

Haven’t been to the gym in months never was charged then out of no where I was charged today on a day they don’t even charge “so their employee says” I had to prove to her I had a charge I had to prove to her I spoke to her manager who lied and said he did not speak to me just to get my refund & cancellation. I did not get the help i needed. I was denied a refund, they didn’t cancel my membership nothing was done. Wouldn’t ever go back to a place who can’t consider you when coming to them about a issue. Will never be back. The place also has bad theft, my friend had her identity stolen a few months before and they took it as a literal joke … which was my main reason I had left the gym. Felt like I was profiled off the bat of asking for help with my refund and cancellation. Luckily my bank sent my money back however if you’re looking for a gym that’s friendly and actually looking out for customers best interest at heart apple valley planet fitness is not the place.
