I’ve been living in the Blaine area for three years now and when my boyfriend moved in this summer, we started looking for a gym to join. I went in person to multiple gyms to check them out and we ultimately joined this gym based on location, pricing, ability to use the machines we want to without having to wait, the staff (JP is awesome!!!) and the CLEANLINESS of this place!! After almost 5 months of membership all I can say is holy cow you can tell JP’s management/team is alol about the functionality, hygiene, and looks of this gym.

It might not be a big factor to some but after touring other gyms in the area that were crowded, not kept, terrible parking, waits for equipment, equipment failing, etc. this was an easy choice.

I am also a Black Card member, so every time I go I love to use the hydro massage and regular massage chairs, and have never had an issue requesting use. I use them both every time!

Also, there is a ton of parking. Definitely recommend this gym if you’re looking the aspects that I listed above!

Very disappointed in the gym this morning. I usually go in when in first opens at 5am along with about 20 or so other individuals. However today no one was there to open the doors. I waited around for an hour and 20 minutes still no employees showed up to open the doors. Roughly 30-35 people came and left during this time frame. Not sure what happened this morning but it would have been nice to be able to stick with my normal morning routine before work. Other than the issue today the gym has been good. Hopefully this is not a reoccurring issue.

I love it here, clean, friendly staff, let's of cardio machines and endless ways to lift . The circuit class is awesome and the free classes are great as well. But what really sold me was the massages with the black card tanning etc. You get to use after a workout. That alone pays for itself!!

3 leg machines have a mechanical flaw and are unsafe to use, so clealry neglect by managment. This gym also uses one of the angled smith machines, which can only be properly used facing one direction for standing exercises. Contrary to the neutral typesthath users can face either way for exercises such as deadlift and squat. There are PF that have this type for all of their machines. Bright side is its generally a well kept for cleanliness and staff is friendly

I love this club! It's clean friendly and has great equipment. The only drawback is this older woman at the desk I insists on checking for membership when I go to do the hydro massage. None of the other attendants make me get my phone out, pull up my membership and check in for a massage. It's a pain in the butt! Otherwise the club is good all except for her!!

IMO the place is mehhh. Not the cleanest, I think the Baltimore location in blaine is better (besides) the massage chairs which is the ONLY reason I venture through. You can forget about the "read o meter" that does not work on the app. It's always wrong. The staff seems to preoccupied for the desk during day hours, at least at the Baltimore location they leave a walkie talkie at desk with a sign saying of u need help to hit the call button on walkie talkie so ur not just standing there for 10mins without service.

We've been members for years at Planet Fitness.

Usually a warm welcoming staff and atmosphere.

I noticed multiple members wearing road work clothes and duty belts. Not to mention jeans which are against appropriate attire per Planet Fitness policy which is clearly stated on the website.

Today started normal and most went well.

Post workout we went to use the "Black Card Spa", which we've used regularly for the past few years. Today however we were confronted by a disgruntled older staff member when we asked for our regular massage beds. She stated it was against policy and they only the "Black Card Member" can use the "Black Card Spa" and guests are to sit and wait like criminals.

I checked and believe it or not it was not clear on their website. Go figure. Obviously good employees didn't care or knew customer satisfaction is going above and beyond. It was however vague and needs to be updated as do their exercise machines.

Upon leaving I mentioned that policies were being broken that she was not enforcing. There were multiple people in jeans and work belts on treadmills and exercise machines. Which is against policy.

She was very upset and didn't like being confronted about not doing her job.

What I really appreciate about my Planet Fitness experience is the welcoming and supportive staff—they're always there to help with any questions I have. Even though the gym can be busy, I love that I can work out and feel completely autonomous, which makes the experience comfortable and stress-free. The Black Card accommodations are also a fantastic addition, offering great value alongside the extensive range of training equipment. Honestly, I wish I had joined Planet Fitness years ago!

I appreciate the positive atmosphere at PF and the friendly staff. Here and there machines are down or the ceiling is leaking but not usually more than a week.
However, I find it frustrating that despite the club's "No Critics" philosophy, the TVs are dominated by entertainment and conspiratorial "news" channels. Over half of the screens are tuned to these stations, and on Sundays, Christian pulpits are taking up even more screens while sports and local news are the rarity. Even more concerning is that employees are unable to change the channels for members because the remotes are "locked away by the owner." So I've been told on a few occasions when trying to get a game on.

Could we please shift the focus away from opinion-based channels and instead show more sports? This would align better with PF's inclusive environment. Other clubs prioritize content like ESPN, ESPN+, MLB, and weightlifting channels that cater to everyone and enhance the workout experience.

Let's make the gym a place where we can all escape and focus on our fitness goals without being limited to content that doesn't belong there.

To be quite honest, my love for this location began when I first interacted with the staff members. Sure, I come here to get moving after my day job and stay in shape, but it’s the people like them that really make me feel valued. Their charm and compassionate smiles reach out to me like the aroma of a freshly baked apple pie. The best part of the check-in experience is always sharing a moment to connect and realize that behind the name tag is a person who genuinely cares for me and my experience at the facility. It goes without saying that the place is in tip-top shape thanks to the cleaning efforts of the aforementioned wonderful staff. It’s the kind of place I’d be proud to take home and introduce to my parents. If I had to make one complaint, it’s that they’re deceased, and they’ll never get to see the full beauty that is Planet Fitness Pheasant Ridge. To my home gym, thank you for making me the happy person that I am today. I love you.

I workout at the Blaine Planet fitness and there staff is always very welcoming especially Graceland. She is usually the first one I see when I walk in and she always has a smile on her face with a friendly greeting to me as I arrive. I've been a member for 4 years almost 5 never been offered a discount or free membership in fact they hound me when I'm due to pay; yet they let teenagers in free all summer long that break the equipment and take it away from paying customers! I am not sure what the staff does at this facility. Nearly every time I am in there are 3-5 employees at the front desk engrossed in conversation. It gets annoying as there could be more effort on upkeep. It would also be nice to be proactive and ensure the 30-minute exercise area is for those who want to do the 30-minute workout and not a big conversation area for "those dudes" who just want to talk at the gym.

I submitted some comments through the website and got a canned auto reply five minutes later that did not even address my concern. I am thinking about dropping my membership. I work hard for my money - might just get a job her so I can stand around and chat while getting paid.

Hand sanitizer stations consistently empty, showers and bathrooms (showers especially) have same dirt and hair for days, meaning not cleaned properly, staff, when there, always on their phones. Especially younger ones. They finally got some of the broken machines fixed after weeks, so thats a positive i guess. Opens at 5, got there at 5:35 doors were locked. Waited 15 minutes. The atmosphere is good, and the people who work here are wonderful! The problem, however, is with the machines - there are so many treadmills and ellipticals that sit unused, and not nearly enough weight equipment. I like exercising here, but am sometimes frustrated by an inability to use the equipment.

Incredibly clean facility, from the machines to the locker rooms.
In the early AM the staff I've spoken with is Drew, and she was very helpful and nice to me.
I used to go to the Snap fitness across the parking lot, and that place cost twice as much and the workers were always moody af.

I got a free pass online so I decided to check it out. My initial impression was cut off right when I walked in the door. 3 employees standing at the desk chit chatting and didn't even acknowledge me until I said excuse me I have a day pass, do i check in here?. Even then all 3 looked at me and just stood there. I was ready to turn around and walk out at that point. The young lady with dark curly hair and glasses was very sweet and nice, she got me checked in after a bit of trouble but once she was done I waited for my "tour" like the pass states I must do, but was even further disappointed when all I got was a finger point of that's the gym and that's the bathroom. I am extremely easy going and very laid back, it doesn't take much to please me, but this was really disappointing and for the poor customer service I definitely won't be back

One of the best locations to work out in the Midwest. Equipment is well maintained and there's never a shortage of machines available. It's a good wholesome fitness minded crowded and rarely does it get busy which is great if you want to roam around at your pace without being in anyone's space. Much props for the best MASSAGE CHAIRS I've seen in any PF. These are the kind you buy for home, not the usual coin operated ones at every other gym.
