Planet Fitness is a mediocre fitness franchise to begin with, but please do yourself a favor and pass on this particular one.
Not only do they have shady business practices with regards to processing payments where they don't respect the specified date for the monthly fee, but they also make it impossible to pause/cancel your membership. I got charged for 5 months when I specifically *told* them to (and got a *confirmation* for) pause my membership while I am moving.

When asked why they didn't pause as requested, they try to give you a handwavy explanation stating that you don't have a document to prove the pause, which was conveniently forgotten about before. Please do yourself a favor that isn't maliciously after your wallets.

As someone who has been a member of PF for over 10 years. I love the Eagan location. Luis always greets me when I workout on Sunday mornings in a very pleasant fashion. Not to mention he's always very helpful and answers any questions about my membership or PF workout equipment needs. I love this club! It's clean, has great member benefits, has friendly staff, is reasonably priced, and there are enough treadmills and other machines to accommodate everyone. Paper towel holders are empty or don’t work. Equipment is getting broken more often without repair. Floor is pretty dirty. Men’s locker rooms smell like mildew. Worst gym in the world, no wonder why Planet Fitness is hated by athletes. I had a horrible experience at the Eagan, MN location. The young manager, Devon who has to be 19 or 20, and tried to act big and tough while using intimidation tactics toward me. It started when I tried to get Devon’s attention over an issue, though Devon heard me and responded, and quickly walked away from me.
Devon returned with another male employee and cornered me and made false accusations while discounting my side of the story, even though, Devon only heard a third person account. He threatened to call the police on me because I was correcting him on what actually happened. I got tired of his nonsense, so I canceled my membership. Best decision ever!

I like this location and am a frequent member, but it's frustrating to try and get them to replace the tanning bed bulbs here. I have reached out to corporate, I've emailed, etc. but no response from anyone. I've asked associates at the front desk about it and they don't know the answer of when they were last changed. Since they've been opened I've only seen them changed once, and there were signs posted and the front desk associates told everyone who tanned. I pay for a black card membership, and it's unfortunate that they can't keep the amenities up to date.

I've been a Black Card member for months now, and I've enjoyed all the services they have to offer. The staff are kind and helpful. The other members are courteous and inspiring. I recommend trying the Hydro Massage after a long workout. If the Black Card membership isn't for you, a normal membership is just as good.

The Eagan MN Planet Fitness is highly clean, well lit, and spacious. There are more than enough equipment available at most times. PF has just about any type of exercise equipment you can imagine: from free weights to treadmills, ellipticals, bands, and everything in between - you will not get bored. The only thing that is a little bit of a bummer is that the club is not open 24/7 on the weekends. Overall a pleasant place to workout.

Very disappointed in this location. The staff are incredibly rude and make you feel dumb for asking any questions or not knowing how to use something. Lots of sarcastic tones and just being disrespectful for no reason. My first time here there were a group of teenagers working at the desk and were very rude to my face despite my friendless, then went on to make fun of me and talk about me when I could clearly hear them. This was the opposite of a judgement free zone. I ended up going to a different location because it was so horrible. I went back recently to give it another chance and was treated horribly by a man who made me feel so dumb. Immediately left after talking to him. Didn't even get to work out. Every other location I've been to has been such a great experience because of the employees. I don't even get how employees get away with treating customers like this??? Would highly recommend any location other than Eagan!!!

Some of the staff there are just horrible and aggressive. I was not the last person today to leave the gym and one guy from the staff came and threw my water bottle and took my phone. All of that because I asked for a minute to finish my workout. I was very upset. Two guys from the staff started swearing at me, threatened me and then cancelled my membership. I will never encourage anyone go to that place. I have never seen such a level of aggression or disrespect. Also, this was selective as other people were still there. If I could give -10 I will give it for what happened today. To the business owner, these people should not approach your customers, they shouldn't be working there. It's the face of the business. These two people don't treat everyone the same. Ugly bullying attitude with descrimination.

I have been going to this PF for over a year. There has been a lot of staff turnover. I think Luis is the only person left from when I started. I am very happy he’s still there. He is helpful and always greets me when I come in the door. Any time I’ve had an issue, he has resolved it. He walks around the club cleaning and filling the cleaning stations when he can get away from the front desk. I can’t say enough good things about Luis

I've been going here for just 2 visits, and it is great. I like it much more than Snap fitness. However, just this morning, Jauary 14th , I had a bad experience. The employee behind the desk, the face of the company, should not be working the front desk. He checked me in, and when I wanted to try a water massage bed and tanning for the first time, he showed me how they work but never smiled' gave short answers' mumbled and seemed not wanting to be at work at all and very checked out, which was fine. I'm not there to be pampered. I got what I needed. It was when I left, and he sarcastically said to me I appreciate you returning the tanning door in use sign. Which I forgot to do. I apologized and said "oh sorry it was my very first time". It wasn't until I was getting dressed and thought about his checked out attitude and how he sarcastically thanked me for returning the sign that I thought well that was very rude. I then approved him and asked him what his name was, to which he said "Luis." He has a short haircut and a tattoo behind his ear. Owner if you are reading thi, he should not be working the front desk dealing with the public and the face of your business. Hope to hear back from you.

I was happy when this location opened! Some of the machines feel a little over simplistic, like a kids toy ... but truly, they are designed to help people at all fitness levels achieve results they desire. I've seen teenagers through seniors using all types of equipment and it's very encouraging to see the community out and about . It would be helpful if the younger crowds , and some others would not loiter in groups or on their phones around many machines, without using them. If you are not using the equipment, please, move on.

Disappointed to see the doors locked this morning with no explanation.

Also, per the user agreement:
“our clubs have the right to change their hours as needed at any time. There are various reasons why a club might reduce the hours. For instance, our clubs take staff availability, weather concerns, as well as times for cleanings into consideration.”

Poor Service, I went to cancel my membership after not attending once. I am too busy. I spoke to keegan at the front desk. I asked, to cancel my membership several times. She kept talking about you will be charged very aggressively for one more month. I really didn't care. But I was most focused on just cancel the plan. After, I was like this disappointed. This is the second location where my lock was cut off my locker and I had stuff stolen from me. The staff was helpful in filing reports, but 3 people today had their lockers in the men’s side broken into and the staff didn’t say anything to people as they walked in to warn them.
