Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Plenty of parking! I loved the larger ADA shower stall in the female locker room. It has a handheld shower head and a shower seat. Very helpful for a tired traveler. Thank you!

As a total newbie to joining a gym this experience was amazing! I was surprised at how low my anxiety was, I used to belong to the YMCA but I was always really uncomfortable there and didn’t know how to use any of the machines so I only ever used the treadmill really. Everyone was so kind and friendly here! The machines are great and I’m excited to try new things here :) The staff were welcoming and helpful! I didn’t have questions this time but I know based off their vibe that if I ever do have questions they’d be happy to help. 10/10 experience, super glad I tried something new and joined :)

I am a Black card member which means I can go to any PF in North America. I travel a lot for work, so I have seen the inside of many of these establishments. I have to say, Adam, the manager over there runs a top notch organization. Everything is always clean, garbage in the locker rooms are always emptied, tanning beds wiped off real good. Not only that but fresh bulbs that don't just turn on but will give you results. Thee entire staff over there is always so friendly and some of them even know me by name. There is never machines sitting out of order or in bad shape. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a clean well maintained facility. Really a great job by the whole crew! I go here whenever I am down that way. Five stars all the way.

Waited about 20 minutes to get assistance with a machine to see if any employees walked around the gym like The Apple Valley gym employees do. But nobody at lakeville did. I noticed about 4-5 employees just sitting behind the counter. I dont think there needs to be 5 employees checking in clients. When I brought my concern with management he totally invalidated my mom statement and told me to just come up to the counter. Unfortunally I was dissapointed with his service .

I have been to many gyms in my day. Planet Fitness offers the best deal since I travel for work. They are across the US, so I can train anywhere, but first you need to purchase the Black Card membership. Great service and team with discounts of beverages, energy, protein bars etc. Great investment for your well being.

I was so happy to find this gym for a great price! I go to the Burnsville location. They have a great facility with all the workout machines and equipment anybody needs to get in shape and keep their body healthy. The place is always clean, and is staffed well so you can go during almost any hour of the day during the week. I’m also a black card member and I love taking advantage of their massage loungers to help me relax and loosen my muscles. I’m glad I joined!

This location offers a pretty typical planet fitness experience. The workers are nice, mostly young high schoolers who seem bored, but I don't blame them. The facility is always super clean. It does get busy at times but that's expected since Lakeville has 80K people living in it now. The layout is a bit confusing compared to other PF I've gone to, but just something to get used to.

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness Lakeville for about a year, sharing a guest membership with my cousin. While I’ve generally enjoyed my time here, thanks to the friendly staff who know us by name and make us feel valued, one employee, Mai, has consistently made things difficult with her rude attitude.

One major incident occurred when Mai stopped us at the entrance, claiming we were behind on our membership payment. This wasn’t true, as our payments are automatically deducted from our bank every month. Even though I offered to resolve any payment issues on the spot, she refused to process it and said we’d have to wait until the manager was available. I asked if we could work out while waiting, but she denied that too. Luckily, another employee stepped in and allowed us to continue our workout, and the issue was resolved the next day when the manager was present.

On a separate occasion, after pausing my treadmill to use the bathroom, I came back to find Mai had stopped the machine, pretending to clean it—even though my belongings were still on the treadmill. I ignored it and moved on. Yesterday, when I arrived at a different time without my cousin, Mai refused to let me in or even let me go find him in the gym, despite knowing I’ve been coming for almost a year. She made me wait in the lobby with no idea when he’d return, which was extremely frustrating.

Everyone else at this gym makes me feel welcome and valued, but Mai’s I feel that goes out of her way to make things difficult and attitude consistently makes things difficult for me and doesn’t provide any helpful solutions. I hope Planet Fitness addresses this and ensures all members are treated with respect and professionalism.

The facility is nice and clean, the workers have been great for the most part, at least in person. However, today I called regarding an issue where I was double charged for my monthly membership, and the customer service did not meet expectations. To start off, the lady I spoke with (I believe her name was Missy) stated one of the charges was on my account as a credit applying to next months membership fee. This is not true, as I could clearly see that I was to be charged the next fee, for August, on 8/17. There was no credit on my account, it showed zero for that.

I asked that I instead just get a refund to make things clear and easy. She said she could do that. Great, problem solved. But, then she started started going on about how they can't waive a late charge in the future. I don't know what that has to do with this? I did not, nor have I ever, asked them to waive a late charge on my account. So I did not understand her purpose in bringing this up. When I told her I did not understand what this had to do with issue at hand or my account in general, she stated she was just letting me know. I still do not get what a late fee has to do with refunding the extra charge they took from my bank account for July, but she seemed very frustrated and irritated by my asking what she meant and the entire situation, so I did not probe further into it. Not sure what the working conditions are at this location, but some of the staff need an attitude adjustment.

No help from the guy at the front desk at 7:30 pm on Thursday July 25th pretending not to see me as he is playing on his tablet. I'm struggling to walk with my walker on my way out. I have a spinalcord injury. A nice girl helped me by opening the door. We ended up having a friendly conversation.
And there is no hot water at the sink in the men's room.

I used to be a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness in Plymouth. And as a pt for Lifetime, I had access to most of their clubs nationwide, and Lifetime is one of if not the best gyms around. I also used to have a membership at Anytime Fitness, and it's definitely a step down from Lifetime. I just recently purchased a membership at Planet Fitness in Lakeville, and I've been here twice. This gym rocks, in my opinion!! I will start by saying the only real downside I've discovered is that there are no squat racks with free weight options for deadlifts and squats or free weights for bench press. But, there are 7 Smith Machines that you can use for these particular exercises if you don't mind using them for those exercises. They have plenty of machines that cover all body parts needed for a great workout, I believe you can scan the qr code on the machines if you're not sure how to use it properly. There are also lots of cardio options that I personally never use , but if that's your jam, there's plenty of treadmills, stair climbers , and rowing machines. What also sells me on this location is the tanning beds and massage chairs, I personally love the hydro masssagers!!! There is a decent size locker room with showers and lockers you can use. There are no towels, so bring your own if you're going to shower. There are also beverages that you can buy at the check-in desk along with tanning lotion, locks for the lockers , and earbuds made by skullcandy. The PF app is kind of cool because you can see how busy it is when you open the app. The gym is very clean , and the staff has been friendly and welcoming in my first 2 visits. I would definitely recommend this gym over Lifetime, just based on the pricing difference and what they both offer. Planet Fitness may not have saunas, hot tubs and steam rooms , and all the other amenities , but it does have a tanning salon and massage chairs , which I don't believe most Lifetimes have. So, for the price, getting a membership here is totally worth it!!!

I've been pretty happy with how this gym is managed. I went there today 5-18-2024 however, and the teenager at the front desk opened the front doors wide open. I was there for about 90 minutes and the front doors remained open the whole time. It was 85 and humid outside and the gym turned into a sweat-box. The AC was running what are you thinking????

The employees at the Lakeville Planet Fitness always smile and seem happy as they greet all members as they arrive and depart the gym. Employees are professional, knowledgeable and provide great customer service. This club has enough equipment and free weights so that even during busy gym hours members aren’t waiting long for machines, weights or to use the Black Card Spa Amenities. Overall, a great atmosphere and always a good time at the gym. I highly recommend!

I love this location. Almost reminds me of the Blaine location. The only issues I have is the cleanliness of the tanning rooms. They should really sweep or vacuum. The beds need more attention cleaning wise. They should have floating shelves, a mirror and actual towels to clean with. 😖 they also need to add more time before the bed starts so ur not rushing to put lotion on. I know this isn’t a tanning salon but just a few little things could be done.

A few drawbacks (for avid lifters) are; no barbells, only smith machines, and dumbbells only go up to 75lbs. (not a problem for most)

I've been in planet fitnesses from coast to coast and this one is really awesome! It's awesome because the lighting is perfect. It's not intrusive nor offensive nor too bright, neither are there any dark spots. It's just the right amount of light without being crazy bright annoying LED's. And the sound is perfect, too. There's a background sound and it's there and it covers a lot of stuff up, but it's not intrusive and it's not what you think about when you're focusing on working out. Really really well thought out and really well laid out.
