Save yourself and go to any other location. This was by far the worst PF location I've ever been to. They're missing a huge number of machines that other locations have. And I couldn't complete my scheduled workout with what they did have to choose from because so many of the machines were broken. The water in the shower never once got warm and it cut out every time someone flushed a toilet in the building. This was my first time coming here. I don't see myself coming back again.

I’d been working out here for a few months since it’s super close to my place. I let a lot of things slide ,like machines being broken for months, or them just putting tape over ripped pads instead of fixing them. I also put up with people who, honestly, the staff should keep an eye on because it gets uncomfortable for everyone else , people sitting on machines talking on the phone forever while you’re waiting, or others messing around in the express workout area so you can’t even do the circuit. None of that ever seemed to matter to the staff; they just never did anything about it.
Then I brought my own curl bar for biceps and triceps days since I need heavier weight than the 60-lb bars they have, and that’s what got the manager’s attention. She told me it’s against the rules for safety reasons, which I get , but if they’re so flexible with all the other stuff, why not this?
Honestly, the only good thing about this gym is that it’s close to home. I’m done with it. Today really left a bad taste ,couldn’t even enjoy my workout.

The five starts are for Russell, the friendly tall guy at the front desk greeting everyone in a friendly manner. it’s my first time at this location and i’m pleased with the customer service i’ve received from him. he’s checked on us while we were on the hydromassage chairs and made sure we’re good! 5+ starts to him. give that man a raise!!

I think this is the nicest planet fitness I have been to. There was a girl in the bathroom doing guerilla marketing for a perfume, though. I lied and told her I liked it but then I wiped it off when she wasn't looking. It smelled like cheap soap. I hope she gets to do sales with a better product she's really good.

It’s a lower-tier planet fitness for sure.

Equipment isn’t maintained well. A lot of it, like the smith machines, for example, are improperly fixed/angled. Machines don’t feel as smooth as other locations.

The one pro is that the staff are friendly. Not that they know much about the equipment or are actually able to help you out, though. The second pro is that it does what the price justifies. You do indeed get what you pay for.

But be prepared for a slightly judgmental environment, subpar equipment, and just overall NPC-like behavior from some gym-goers, including some who will humiliate you and think they’re above you.

If you’re here, just come in and go out.

I really don't care for the area but it's the closest to my house. The people who work here are pretty helpful but I just wish it wasn't so swarmed with kids! I tried to get on a massage chair after my workout and a group of kids were taking all of them up. I thought 3 was a crowd?? Apparently not here. Another person was literally sitting on a machine on their phone. I asked them to let me know when they're done so I could get on and they still sat there on the phone. Very rude and inconsiderate. STAY OFF THE MACHINES IF YOUR NOT USING THEM

This gym is adequate! There's nice staff, the men's locker room is usually pretty clean, lots of plates, decent equipment selection, and way too many treadmills (like every pf location). Please sign up for a membership bc lord knows they need to repair their leaky roof, but then again that sort of thing keeps out the weenies so I don't mind!

I'm a new member of the club. I joined specifically for the 30-minute workout room and the idea of getting in and out of the club in a timely manner. Each time I've visited, people are using the machines in the 30-minute area without advancing through the circuit. They are looking at their phones or otherwise parking themselves on a machine without moving. I feel awkward reminding them to move. This should be a employee's job. I don't like trying to remember which machine I haven't used yet. There seem to be identical machines in the main part of the club.

I have the Black card membership for $25 monthly. I love it. They have a lot of machines of all kinds. It's spacious. Even when it's busy, I rarely have to wait for anything. The black card gets you free massage chairs, Hydro massage, tanning and red light. The staff is always friendly. This is definitely the best gym membership I've had. You get a lot for a great price. I started as the free guest with my husband and after 2 visits decided I needed my own membership. They also have a cheaper membership for $15 ( you don't get the massage, tanning or red light extras with that)

The manager at the Minneapolis branch was extremely rude and disrespectful. It’s disappointing to see such behavior. Despite their affordability, I wouldn’t recommend Planet Fitness to anyone.

I’ve been met a member of the Minneapolis Planet Fitness club for several years. Generally, I’ve always given them fairly good reviews, but I have to say that it is extremely disappointing to hear that they can no longer play a sports channel on their TVs. Many of the patrons are sports enthusiasts who enjoy watching sporting events or sports news like myself. After all sports and fitness do go hand in hand. The policy defies logic. It’s not what their patrons want. When I asked staff if anyone has ever complained that they had ESPN on (one channel of 11) they said no they haven’t had Any complaints. We live in a very divisive world, which is unfortunate, but we have heard over and over that events like the Olympics and other sporting events bring people together and I believe that is true. Planet fitness’s policy is shortsighted and very disappointing and lacks common sense. It’s another corporation that is making decisions based on their personal beliefs and disregarding what their customers think or want and makes sense.

Heads up, you will have to jump through hoop after hoop to cancel your membership. After signing up for my membership online, I was assigned a home gym that was 22 minutes away from home. To cancel your membership, you either have to show up at your home gym, or write a letter. After showing up to the only location I stepped foot in, they sent me away because I wasn't at my home gym. Then after calling my home gym and confirming, I drove across the city only to be told I had an outstanding balance and that they couldn't cancel it unless it was paid. I was also told that the $36 I owed would be taken to collections if I didn't pay it. Yes, I made the mistake of forgetting about my membership, but it shouldn't be this difficult to stop a company from using my bank info to continue pulling money out of my account.

My trainer Reno is the best! Getting in shape is fun and inspiring! Always exciting to see what I’m going to be encouraged to push myself towards to accomplishing my weight loss and physical limits. Definitely recommend this gym snd in general planet fitness.

My favorite employee, Belle is excellent! Great knowledge of the different muscle groups for you to focus on and definitely a great encouragement during sessions! Represents great professionalism and is very hard working. For sure keeps the place running. By the way, I’ve never seen a planet fitness cleaned better than this one since Belle did her magic. Absolutely wonderful human and always puts a smile on my face.

I'm generally a fan of planet fitness because of its great facilities and location, but my recent experiences with one of the staff members have been frustrating. There's a guy who works there, and almost every time I visit, he seems to find a reason to hassle me or threatens to kick me out without any valid reason. His approach feels unnecessarily confrontational and has made my visits to the gym uncomfortable and stressful.

I understand the importance of gym rules and respect them fully, but I expect to be treated with fairness and respect. I hope the management can address this issue, as it’s spoiling what could otherwise be a fantastic gym experience for many of us here.

The Minnehaha location has very friendly staff. They were already calling me by name my 2nd visit! I like that my location has a trainer. He helped me get started with an exercise regiment specific to me. I work 3.5 jobs so I have limited free time. The hours of operations at PF allow me options of when I can work out.
