Guest services is something to be desired at this place. I wanted some water and a guy at the front desk with red hair. Tried to ring me up four times couldn’t get the water and I just stood there wondering what to do then he said he couldn’t get register to work and 15 minutes went by. I brought a guest with me and we use the treadmills and he said we don’t allow our guest to use the Massage chairs, but I will this Time on a third occasion. I accidentally spilled some of my water on the treadmill and again the attendant with the red hair said to me, you need to let us know when you spill water at our club.i expressed to him it was an accident.

Everytime i go that particular attendant is not guest friendly. I have said “thank you” after he helped me on the above occasions and he has said “yup” Would be nice to say “you’re welcome” or just to smile and say welcome

My home gym closes fairly early so I traveled a little further here because there open later. The gym was a little smaller then my home one but it was clean, the worker was extremely nice, and the treadmills were all new/updated! Just missed my 30 minute workout routine section.

avoid this place unless you want headaches and to lose money. This gym has been charging me twice every month for months because they signed me up twice by mistake. I called to fix it and get my refund, but they showed zero good will to help, had a poor attitude on the phone, and never fixed anything. I gave them all the details they needed, yet I’m still being charged twice.
They clearly don’t care about their customers or taking responsibility for their own mistakes. Terrible service.

Aug 4 the female working was cleaning the machines in the morning and when me and another lady came into the front the front desk, lady made eye contact with me as she saw I needed assistance at the desk and I was standing there for a good 10 min. When I tried to find her she was no where to be found , when I called the store while she was in there she didn’t appear or even bother to come check.
I then had to ask a guest if they have seen any workers and he said “no” so I continued to call for a couple mins without any help.
I finally left and called 5 min later to see if anyone would answer , nope same thing unfortunately. 30 min later the front desk finally answered and when I asked her if that was a normal procedure to do “make eye contact with customers at door seeing them need help , and you continue to walk away “ and she just goes “I was cleaning why didn’t you wave me down” I told her you looked at the desk where me and another female were and you saw I put my hand up and you continued to walk away and when she flat out lied to me saying she wastnt aware I needed help that’s when I asked her for her name again and she goes “I already gave it to you “ so I said this is bs and then she hung up on me . When I called back to ask her name she laughs and goes bye bye . If this is the type of workers you want in your facility that’s unacceptable and the whole management should be looked into. Worst customer service ever in the morning . Not my first problem with this lady . She’s snippy and rude and will roll your eyes at you if she’s not in a good mood that day. I suggest you have a major talk with whatever nasty attitude person you have working MORNINGS . I would NEVER want to come here in the morning to have my morning ruined by a miserable person who hates their job.

PF rang the lunk alarm on me twice and I felt so embarrassed I quit. At the time I was overweight and trying to get back in shape before getting married. It had been a long time since I had been to the gym. So, I followed my high school routine, which included hang cleans for power and muscle group balance. Since PF doesn't have barbells, I used the smith machines instead and did my best to be quiet, but occasionally the bar latched and made noise. Punishing an overweight person for trying just felt cruel. Canceling was also a total PITA.

My favorite PF location, it's always incredibly clean, the staff is knowledgeable in fitness/workouts to assist if needed - they are also beyond kind, the spa area if you have the Black Card is very nice - love the hydro massage chairs the best. I love Planet Fitness in Minnetonka! The staff is always so kind and remembers me and other patrons. The facilities are clean and I always feel comfortable. Really poor experience. A worker threw away my glove while I was still in the building instead of putting it in the lost and found (it was 8° outside). It couldn’t have been dropped more than 30 minutes prior, while moving my belongings out of the locker room, as requested. When asked why the glove was thrown away, he just shrugged his shoulders. I asked when an owner or manager would be in to discuss this policy, as it didn’t make much sense to throw something away while there were still people in the building. Again, I got a very flippant response. Very frustrating and a very rude response.
I’d give this place less than 1 star if I could for this interaction alone.

This location was SUCH a breath of fresh air from the Minnehaha location I signed up at. It was so clean, far less crowded and there was actually staff at the desk that spoke with me and treated me with respect. I will never be returning to Minnehaha location now that I’ve been to this one. That location is so bad I truly considered canceling my membership and going to LA Fitness. I’m glad I tried it out.

I would have rated higher except an issue I had with one of the employees. I accidentally had my primary gym location changed (and had to wait the 90 days to change it back to this location). I asked the front desk if they could help me make this change after the duration had passed. A middle-aged white man was assisting me and he said I needed to do it through the app, but the app wouldn’t let me. It said I could do it online but the website wouldn’t work, and the FAQ page said I could do it in person. This employee didn’t know how to make the change on the computer so instead of even asking another employee for assistance he told me “contact customer service i don’t know.” I came back the next day and he was at the front desk again busy and another employee was present. I asked for her assistance and explained the situation and she was very courteous and made the change for me easily on the computer. I had said nothing to the man but he butted into our conversation with “I told her to go on the app and call customer service, if she would have done that then she wouldn’t have to bother with all this you should have called them—“ he was ranting so much that the employee helping me had to say “ENOUGH [employee’s name], leave her alone.” Without even looking at him, as if she knew this was his typical behavior. He stopped but I couldn’t believe he wanted to butt in and argue! This location is still my primary gym and all the employees have been fantastic except this one man. Every time I see him it makes me feel unwelcome and unsettled. Frankly it looks like several other customers had complaints as well about him. If he’s been talked to several times or even once before about his behavior towards customers, I doubt it will change even if he’s talked to about it again.

My experience so far at planet fitness in Minnetonka has been nothing but the best! all of the staff here are super friendly and will help you with anything you need. Around a week ago now, I had an accident in the gym where I passed out completely and Joni made sure was okay. she comforted me and made sure I was okay and safe. She rushed to get me a water and a gatorade out of the kindness of her heart. Joni and the rest of her staff are amazing and I look forward to remaining here for the foreseeable future!

I hadn't been in for maybe 9-12 months.
Back then, PF didn't have the staff to be open 24-7. When they did have overnight staff, I could never find anyone.

Tonight has been a great experience. Even more so since it's my first time back after so many months.

I'm so impressed with the staff. Despite keeping busy and constantly cleaning. They dropped what they were doing and immediately came to help me at the desk several times throughout my visit.

At one time I gave this location 5 stars. Not anymore. The staff has changed and some of them not for the better. I get off work late and get to the gym after 9:30 pm. I deal with a noisy environment and when I get to the gym I want to work out in peace. Not hear people having stupid conversations their phones. Or those 2 or more group.of guys hooting and hollering and slamming weights around. Even with headphones on you can hear them. They slam weights and even the staff heads pop up. The staff used to care. Then they move to the locker room and you can hear them in there for 10 minutes or more. No one wants to go in there when they hear that. I'm considering switching gyms or have to switch my schedule around. This is not the gym you want to go to after 9:30 at night if you want to concentrate while you workout..

A couple of things i ran into with this planet fitness is the lack of yoga mats, having 4 mats for the entire gym is not enough during busy times. Secondly is the lack of cell phone policy enforcement while in the locker rooms or even on the floor of the gym. People could be taking pictures of others changing in the locker room while on the phone and the staff do nothing to stop it. 3rd is the unlocked emergency exit door in the back. The door is never locked or staffed posing a safety concern on anyone in the building. The fact that you can walk in the back door of this business anytime of day wether there open or not is dangerous. As a customer you would have no idea if someone dangerous walks in the gym.

This is my second time at this Planet Fitness location and the same women working both times is extremely rude. The first time she was very inconvenienced when I asked to use the black card perks. And scoffed at me, when she was the one who misunderstood what I said. Then I walk in today and she tells me to wake up, that I look like I'm sleep walking. This is the last thing someone wants to hear before a workout. I feel shamed for looking like a natural women without make up, thought this was a judgement free zone. The women working Sunday morning on Dec 17th. I see there is allot of need for employees, maybe everyone quits because of her, I would.

It's been a decent experience coming here to train for mountain climbing. I always judge a place on how they treat you when you move from being a customer to not. When I went to cancel my membership, I was disappointed to see the person working the front desk became immediately salty, short, no longer friendly. And I was told I can no longer check in with the app for the rest of the month. So any future visit for the rest of the pay period, I have to wait on the front desk person to check me in via my phone number, even though I've already paid full black card membership prices. I also lost all access to the app content so despite paying, I'm not being provided the same experience.

I wanted to try this gym out because I have a membership at another one that is way too busy. I spoke with the gym manager on the phone the day of just to see if I could try a day pass or something for one workout. The manager, V, was very nice and said they normally do not do that because of some incidents in the past but that he would make an exception and I would have to sign some waivers and he would let the staff know. I get to the gym and I tell them why I'm there And the look I received from the front desk woman when she said they don't do that could have melted my face off. Needless to say no one had told them anything and the front desk woman was very rude about it. I never write bad reviews but this was ridiculous. 0/5 stars.

For a new gym, i am not impressed. I went tanning and two facial bulbs were out. When i talked to they guy at the desk after my tan about it, He was fully aware but chose not to disclose that to me before i got in the bed. Also, there were no other people tanning, so WHY they put me in a bed with non working bulbs is ludicrous.

Hello- I tried to contact the location off of Highway 7 regarding a concern I have. The phone number said no was available to take the call. I have a concern about an employee who has worked at both the Hwy 7 location and the Ridgedale location. The employee got upset with me because I wouldn’t lie down on the ground in front of him. He had offered to “show me something to help my workout.” When he instructed me to lie down I asked if he could first demonstrate because I had no idea what to expect. He wouldn’t tell me what it was and got offended as if I was implying something. It was very uncomfortable and i don’t want to workout at those locations anymore. Recently became a member of SilverSneakers. They have program where you can go to health clubs in your area.

I saw there was a Planet Fitness nearby, so I decided to drop by for a visit and a tour.

Before I went, I checked out the website and Teddy's walk through of a typical facility. I was pleased with the video and just showed up at the location based on Google's busyness indicator.

I was greated by Jodi and she gave me the tour, shared with me how the app worked and told me about clubs nearby. She showed me the sauna area for upgraded members and treated me to the water massage chair! Wow, that was a treat!

For me, the great points are (1) the facility is always staffed ( they are open at 5 am), (2) the app informs you how busy the facility is, (3) there are multiple workout machines, a 30 minute workout system and a wild and wonderful 360 system, (4) the app has workout training videos, (5) they have classes, (6) if you want to go big, the sauna with tanning, vitamin d light booth, and massage chairs are there for you!

I stayed and worked out on rhe elliptical and treadmill. Felt great when I left.

I was there today between 11am and 12:30pm I was bummed that the ellipticals we're so worn but the hospitality the only employee that was there showed me made up for it! He was so polite, well mannered, funny and personable. I usually go to Minnetonka and they are overstaffed, all of them put together couldn't match the kindness of this ONE employee at Hopkins! This man could've been annoyed that he was there alone but instead he was super positive and really sweet. He gave better hospitality than Minnetonka management!!! They are polite, don't get me wrong, but it's really hokey, forced and fake. I bet the equipment at Hopkins location is worn based on the positive attitude from this staff member. I'll be back!

Warning to members of this gym: Planet fitness does not allow you to cancel your membership online or over the phone (even if you have moved far from the location you signed up at). They require you to cancel your membership in person at the location you originally signed a membership at. Further, when you do cancel your membership, you will have to pay for the next billing cycle (for example, I canceled September 11th and had to pay for a membership through October 16th). So make sure to cancel weeks in advance of when you want your membership to end.

I have been going to the Tonka Town location for about a year and absolutely love (almost) everything about it!! Getting to the building itself it the only drawback of this PF location and even then… it is just me nitpicking.

Super clean, excellent staff (especially, Alex the manager), modern equipment/machines (that actually functions properly), free weights, plenty of parking, tanning, massage chairs/beds, decent music, TV’s galore, affordable, casual, no wait times and I could go on… but, you get the gist.

The club is clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. As a black card member, I really find the hydro massage helpful for my chronic back issues.

WARNING: I did have my locker broken into (I had a lock on it but the someone managed to get into the locker). My credit cards and cash were stolen. Be advised and keep your valuables in your car or on your person!
