This facility in particular has hired new staff in the past few months and I'm very grateful for that. The building feels and looks much cleaner and has just an all around better feel to it.

The other guests are kind and respectful. I do wish the massage chairs were the higher grade ones and not the mall kind, but I understand it can't be helped.

I highly suggest coming here with your friends or family for a few hours.

They recently started putting air fresheners all over the gym and spraying and unbelievable amount of air freshener in the locker rooms. No matter where you attempt to workout, you can't get away from it. Air fresheners are very unhealthy and there is very little fresh air flowing into the gym, which makes it even worse.

Super bummed because every location seems to be doing this now.

The fluorescent lights are also not good for you. Then, add the news running on 10 TV screens. It's like they're trying to make working out as unhealthy as possible.

I'm going to have to cancel my membership. My girlfriend goes to a different location and she's experiencing the same thing.

I’ve been going here for over a year and absolutely love the place and the workers, but there’s a new young lady who has been working almost every morning lately with dark curly hair who has a terrible attitude! Never greets or say Goodmorning rolls her eyes etc. When you ask for help she is short with you and has an annoyed demeanor, absolutely TERRIBLE costumer service, definitely not like the friendly faces I’m used to.

20% of the machines are broken or worn out, some to the point that it is a safety concern. Half of the stair machines don't work and it's been like that for months. They took out some of the machines and replaced them with equipment that was just as old and worn out.

I am really enjoying the clean well kept environment, and professional employees.

However, the highschool kids that come in every day make it difficult to have an efficient workout, due to the overcrowding clusters of them at the dumbbell stations and pulling machines.

You guys really need to set them aside when they come in, in their massive group and teach them about completing their workouts in a time efficient manner, and respecting the code of conduct that everyone has to agree to. A lot of horseplay in the locker room, completely inexcusable behavior.

As working adults we have time constraints, and waiting 10 minutes for multiple areas/machines due to them standing/sitting around and talking is a huge issue. It's not fair, and I really hope there is something the staff can do to help alleviate the stress of the environment. Go to the gym to workout, not hangout.

Well run store. Extra space in the 30 minute work out area in comparison to some Planet Fitness stores. This location also has the fully reclining hydro massage beds that many locations don't have. Their spa area was larger than many stores. Some of the equipment is aging but is in good repair. I recommend this location to other travelers like me and locals, too!

We've been Black Card members for years. We go M-Th mornings before work. This PF is clean and big enough to accommodate many guests. I’ve never had to wait for equipment. The black card spa is nice with lots of options. Honestly, this price can’t be beat!!

I like PF for its no fuss, easy access, and clean environment. I have zero issue getting in equipment that I want. For the most part, guests are kind and friendly. This particular PG has had difficulty with staffing so customer service can be inconsistent. My one request is that they would enforce the clothing attire policy but they dont...and therefore some guests wear very revealing clothing.

This gym is decent equipment wise. I have never noticed gym being too full, which is good.
Planet fitness policies, on the other hand, are not so good. I was not allowed to bring my brother (who was visiting from the overseas) more than one time without upgrading my membership. And I was not allowed to workout with my 7 year old daughter at their side table peacefully sitting and playing video games on her tablet. As a single mom, with no family nearby to watch after her, I would appreciate you being that flexible to allow me work out for 1-1,5 h while she is just there not causing any issues. You have to have solutions for people’s life situations when they want to be your customer. You can’t just say: That’s our policy. Disappointed and seriously reconsidering my membership.

It's open, welcoming (without being over the top), it's clean, there is a ton of equipment...I have been there 10+ times and haven't likely tried half! Their trainer, Rich, is a peach and he's working with us to set up a program...All this, plus the water massage chairs. :-) For $25/month. I love it! I'm going to Colorado tomorrow and plan to find a PF near where I'm staying. I've talked PF up to lots of people -- it's outstanding.

Just got a membership here as it was the cheapest gym w all the services I was needing in the area. Even the black card membership is significantly cheaper than other gyms. I came here to do my workout, which consists of throwing all of the weights at the ground and screaming loudly, and some alarm goes off. I thought that was pretty weird but when it happened again I got kicked out and banned for “being a lunk”, whatever that means.

We went there to check out the place because my wife and I wanted to sign up. We had our 5 year old daughter with us at the time. The attendant basically just ignored us and when I asked if we could just look at the place he was looking at my daughter and told me that the gym was for 13 years and older. We were not planning to take our daughter to the gym or ask to tour the place with her. I love the Minnetonka Planet Fitness! I was a member at Lifetime for over a decade and was reluctant to give up the membership, but after the umpteenth hike in fees, my husband convinced me to drop it and give Planet Fitness a try. Minnetonka Planet Fitness is always spotless, the staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming- especially Andrew and Collin! This gym has all the equipment I need and rarely a wait to use any of it. I'm able to come in exercise use the equipment without having to wait in line and people wipe down equipment after they're done so never do you have to get on a machine covered in sweat. I have a membership at this gym. One of the perks are you can use any other Planet fitness gym. This location has equipment that is outdated. And the massage chairs suck compared to Shakopee. I have cancelled my membership here several times and they keep charging my son's account. on top of that I asked them to hold a bottle of tanning lotion (at the desk while I worked out and they lost it how do you lose it, and it was less than a half hour. on top of that they refused to replace it) This location used to be open 24 hours and that's when I used the gym the most, because it wasn't crowded at night and Ya know Coronavirus as we all know spreads fast when there is a lot of people in a confined space with no masks. So, my advice use another location besides this one.

You signup online and they expect you to come into the store location to cancel your membership or write a letter and travel to the post office to cancel, like this is no joke, is this 1999? Planet fitness as me for electronic signature to signup and take my Mon but now there are asking me for all these extreme efforts just to cancel my membership. This is a great workout facility and the attendants are great. They greet you each time you come in and leave, the locker rooms are also clean and they have plenty of lockers. The only complaint I have is that it is way too hot inside, even with the overhead fans on. The inside temperature is about 75 (or higher). I’ve asked the front desk attendants multiple times if they could turn the heat down, and they say they are unable to but will leave a note. I’m not the only customer who has complained about the heat. Being a workout facility and with people actively doing aerobic exercise, you think they would have it at a cooler temperature.

I'm usually not the one that would give a bad review until I believe something has to be fixed. I signup for Planet fitness and it was/still a hell to cancel my membership.
1st. No way to cancel online or on the app.
2nd submitted a request online and for 7days plus no response and still no response.
3rd. Called my location and was told it was canceled.
4th. 1 week later after cancelation I was still charged.
5th. Called the store and the store agent told me "I cannot help you and we have no one here that can help you at this moment" Referred me to "annoying corporate" and was told to call my location.
6th. Called him back and was given all kinds of misinformation like "You can to come in to the location to cancel as we need to make sure is you then "oh I can get my boss in "quote" to cancel but I cannot do anything" - While laughing at me. Why should I have to come in and sign off membership when everything was done online? Why did someone tell me they can help me and not finish the process they started. I know your store is focus on helping members in store, if they will talk to people over the phone, they need all the information and need to be professional.

By the way, I canceled my membership because they changed their hours without noticed. You should send email when you change your hour. I only signed up because it was 24 hours and now it less than that

And yes, I'm yet to be helped. This review stays up until I get my help.

I like this gym. It’s clean, usually there’s about 12 people in the whole place when I go (from 6-9). I take showers here and they’ve never been dirty. One of my concerns while working out here are the employees. When me and my stepmom took a tour of the place, he continually encouraged us to take our masks off- I just wish he said nothing, it’s really none of his business if we choose to wear a mask. It seems whenever I have a concern it is brushed off. The other day, the women’s locker room was practically pitch black. The locker room part was dimly lit, but the shower area was dangerously dark (sometimes there are puddles on the ground to be careful of). He brushed me off, saying that they where automatic. When another lady walked in to the locker room, she also remarked how dark it was. It also did not switch on with either of our motions. When I went back 30 minutes later it was still dark. It is a nice gym - I will continue to go here, I just wish the employees where more understanding and courteous.

I really enjoyed my time at this location until a couple of weeks ago when I pulled up at 0230 to a locked door and a sign detailing a change in hours due to inconsistent overnight staffing availability--which blows my mind that for such a sizable and nice facility in a decently populated area there's nobody who can occupy the desk overnight, but I digress.

The reason I have stuck with PF over the years is I travel a lot for work and my shift schedule changes on the regular. PF is pretty much everywhere and mostly every location I have visited offers 24/7 access. That's the value I get from my membership.

I understand there are likely issues going on behind the scenes that cannot be addressed publicly. But that doesn't alter the fact that I have to travel between two different gym locations now during the week as neither is 24/7...but more like 24/3 or 24/4. Anyway, I know it's no major loss to whomever might be reading this. I just hope that you get back to normal hours of operation soon. I worked hard this summer coming off the bench from a previous fight with cancer. Not ready to give that up. Neither of the locations between which I'm currently bouncing offers quite the same experience, but for now I must make do.

This place is kept clean and well maintained, however despite my requesting twice, the TV monitor #4 on the right hand side is still cutting off the current scores of soccer, baseball, and tennis matches at all times- the other monitor #4 is fine, but elliptical machines there are less available

Signing up for the classes is easy and I've never had trouble getting a spot, despite the small number of participants allowed for each class. I love working with a trainer during the classes because he "pushes" me to work harder than I would on my own. After all, I joined the club to make a difference in myself and Isacc is helping me accomplish that goal.

I love the Minnetonka staff because they are always respectful, kind and professional. The club is laid out well and has wonderful tanning beds
