Shoutout to staff member Moe. I was wearing open toe/shoes and he noticed while vacuuming around me. He let me know kindly I had to switch shoes due to liability reasons. I asked him if I could just remember the rule for next time since I didn’t have any closed toe shoes, he said unfortunately he couldn’t let it slide but came up with a solution and borrowed me his own shoes that he had switched out of for his shift.

I had asked if I could give him money to pay for his dinner or coffee next day, he politely declined. I can tell he works hard and takes his job seriously. Thank you Moe!

Edit: cancelled my membership today as I now have 3 gym memberships with this being the clear worst option. I was pressing my PR on supine. An employee was flirting with a gym goer behind me doing her machine work. I grunt as I am hitting a PR. He made sure to say no grunting. I HATE it here lmao. So glad I’m committed and can cancel my membership. It feels like a community center, kids running at the front. Always entirely packed. Gross place, glad I invested money for better experiences elsewhere. Not even free pizza like Washington. Will not miss this place at all!

The hours could be better. Bill was not a nice guy. I don’t know what I did but I just felt very unwelcome during my recent visit. He watched me like a hawk scan in and had me scan again when I asked to use the massage chair. That may sound normal but the night guys are a lot nicer and they don’t have me scan my card right in front of them to use the massage room stuff. A bad experience all around. I’ll likely not come again during the day. He might be a manager but he didn’t have to make me feel uncomfortable about it.

This Gym and honestly Planet fitness in its entirety is a terrible choice they claim one price per month but thats simply just to get you through the door the reality is there is no other option than their top black card membership the other “options” are made to have such a high start up cost that you basically have to settle for the highest membership. They have shady tactics for people who want tours just to get their information and email you relentlessly. The “no commitment” guarantee is not true they put up a fight any time you try and cancel. They lack proper equipment with the excuse of providing a safer environment when really they are just cheap while being the same price as a regular gym. They have rules on clothing your allowed to wear even your footwear has to be to their liking. Management is rude and overly assertive. I recommend any other gym over planet fitness literally any other one

I’ve been coming to this gym everyday and overall it’s a good place clean, good equipment, and usually a good vibe.

But the new manager recently kicked me out over a NEW no open toe footwear policy. I had walked 2 miles to get there, and was told I couldn’t work out because I was wearing slides. I NEVER GOT AN EMAIL OR ANY KIND OF NOTICE ABOUT THE RULE CHANGE

I pointed out someone else wearing slides, and he said THEIRS WEREN'T OPEN TOE. Then my friend reminded him she got kicked out two days ago for wearing crocs which aren’t open toe either.

We went to the reception desk to continue talking.

He pointed to a SMALL PLASTIC SIGN next to the scanner the kind people BARELY notice,I even suggested they print a larger sign and post it out front so people actually see it, and he just ignored that.

I asked if I could at least finish my workout that day, but he wouldn't allow it.

I've been working out at this gym for 2 years, always wearing slides in the summer and fall and I know I'm not the only one. In my personal opinion, THIS NEW POLICY DOESNT MAKE SENSE AT ALL. Even if you're wearing shoes, if ENOUGH weight drops on your foot, it's still going to hurt or cause injury. Shoes don't offer much protection in that case. That's why I feel like the rule is not really about safety.

I was paying way more at a bigger club. Can't beat $10 a month! It doesn't have all the extras of a big club like hot tub, courts, pool, classes.... but, if you want weights and cardio to stay in shape, you can't beat the price.

I’ve been lifting for most my life. This gym used to impress me when they opened. The equipment was nice. It was not too crowded. It was clean.

I canceled my membership tonight due to these reasons.

1- 14-19 year olds lift for free. It feels like I’m at a daycare instead of a gym. The kids come in huge groups and sit around wasting space. Better to have kids there than doing drugs or getting in trouble but I don’t agree with letting untrained kids run wild in a gym.

2- The equipment is starting to fail/break and there’s not enough weight. I’m a little biased on this because I need a lot of weight.

3- I’d be surprised if 1/4 of the members actually clean after using something. Personal hygiene and respect people. Simple.

4- It seems short staffed. Hardly anytime is anyone at the front desk and I’ve waited 20 minutes before trying to find a worker.

5- In the nicest way possible. Most members have no idea what they’re doing and do not know proper forms and lack common sense. They also don’t follow simple rules of the gym.

All in all. It is a decent planet fitness location but that’s only compared to other planets. In my opinion, spend the extra money for a nicer gym.

I'm back after being gone from PF for a couple years. It's solid. Can't beat the price. It's busy, that comes with the territory of low price. It is what it is. My only real complaint: please space out the smith machines. Ive been hit by the bar when racking weights on more than one occasion. I've mentioned this years ago. Pretty please finally do it, thank you.

Marcus is an excellent personal trainer. He makes everything easy to understand and has really helped with my fitness goals. I was a beginner when I started working with him. I have been traveling since 2018 and in recent years have worked out at dozens of Planet Fitness locations across the US.

This one sets the bar high for cleanliness, equipment availability, use of space, and professional staff. The Black Spa area is phenomenal, with more options than any other PF I've visited.

The gym is busy but never felt crowded because of the layout of all the equipment and specialized training areas.

I do want to mention one staff member (Bill) specifically because he is a total rockstar. He is constantly moving through a variety of tasks: checking in members, cleaning, stocking, helping with questions, and signing up new members. He is non-stop!

In the week I've been going to this gym, I never once saw him standing still, on his phone, or distracted from his work. He is focused, friendly, and professional. He is the gold standard for the frontline team at PF and should be in some sort of training position.

I will definitely visit this location again if my travels bring me back to this area of MN.

They have lots of equipment to work out on. Just don't ever plan on canceling your membership because they will refuse to do so. I have tried everything to get my membership canceled. They say they canceled it but still charge you. Even talked to my bank to let them know what was going on. They just charge you 2 months later under a different name. If you call corporate They refuse to help. Say you have to go into your club to cancel. You go in there and they lie to you about canceling it.

This company is outrageous man. Tried to cancel my membership 3 months ago and they told me it would be cancelled. I then keep getting charged every month since and have been calling for them to actually cancel it since I now live out of state. They keep telling me they will refund and cancel but instead do nothing and keep charging me. I would like my refunds, I haven’t been there in months and was lied too.

I love the machines and perks but the front desk is very unhelpful. Having never fake tanned before I was unaware of how to use the machine or what to set it at and ended up with a head to toe burn and wrapped in cold sheets for the next 3 days, do yourself a favor and Google everything before you even walk in the place

I was really happy to see a PF so close to home, since I was originally driving all the way to Burnsville. The facility looks super new, they do a great job of keeping everything clean. One thing I’d like to point out is the smith machines are vertical, not angled. The equipment is also in great condition besides a few cable accessories that could get renewed. The afternoon staff is very friendly - the evening staff, which seem to be high school boys, could be a little more attentive, but it’s to be expected. Great place!!

This has to be the first gym I've ever enjoyed going to. Its always clean, the atmosphere is always nice, and they keep it a good temp inside, not overly hot but not super cold either. I recommend this gym to my friends and coworkers. I went to the gym on my birthday and Kirby said "Happy Birthday" to me on my way out the door. I was not expending that that all! She is super nice and always acknowledging gym members..as does everyone else who works at this PF. I do wish the free weight area was a bit bigger as it's always crowded. Also, there's a lot of younger kids who go to this location.. Most of them are goofing off while other gym members are there to workout.

I've been going here for nearly a year. All of the staff members are friendly and always helpful when you need them. This was my first gym I came to for a membership and one of the staff members (Colt?) was more than pleased to give me a tour of the facility and what it had to offer. He was very clear about the terms of the membership I was signing up for and I haven't been disappointed with Planet Fitness at all ever since I signed up. The building and equipment is kept very clean by all staff members so no complaints there. Not to mention, the members of the gym are also very friendly. This is a very good gym to go to if you're looking to start out and are on a budget!

Never have I been to a gym where I actually felt attacked by staff on a regular basic ! It's incredible! They claim to be a judgment free zone but then there is a sign on the wall called the link alarm ..with a quote underneath it saying somethingbtonthe affect of " look at that guy , he's making load noises, wearing a string talk top and drinking from a gallon water jug"! Again it's just unreal you know we won't judge you ! I mean unless we don't like you or your kind in here ..in that case we will out a huge sign up about how we are judging you 😅🤣😂. I don't make noise , talk to anybody or even lift weights in the grunting area around the dumbells and such .And some dude working there still brought it up that I had a gallon water jug !! I'm literally walking on the treadmill not bathing anybody but since yall don't judge you know so come at me bro 😍.. the place is an awesome gym turned into a total joke . I mean I know who they are pandering too. You know those victims that are always on the attack ? Yeah them ...
