“Judgment Exists in the ‘Judgment Free Zone’”

I’ve been coming to this Planet Fitness for a while, and what I overheard recently made me lose a lot of respect for the place. I heard a few staff members gossiping and making disgusting comments about me — including saying that because I’m pregnant and not currently working, I should “just abort it.”

That’s not just judgmental — it’s cruel. Especially for a gym that preaches a “Judgment Free Zone.” There are plenty of pregnant women who work out here and deserve to feel safe and respected. Nobody’s personal life should ever be turned into locker-room gossip.

Whether someone is pregnant, overweight, or struggling — that’s exactly the kind of talk your slogan is supposed to protect members from. I hope management really looks into this and reminds employees that professionalism means keeping their opinions off the floor and out of people’s personal business.

Its a big and clean gym. You never have to worry about having to wait for a cardio machine because there are 30+ of about every cardio/stationary bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, ect. It litterally has everything! The night staff like Willie and Mandy are awesome.

Planet fitness is a solid value, especially the individual gym subscription. I am all over town so I upgraded to the black membership recently.

Most facilities have ample equipment options of every variety. Few are very clean like the location in West Saint Paul.

Most locations are a bit run down, with too infrequently cleaned spaces and equipment. With West Saint Paul being a truly unique experience of exceptional clean.

After taxes, annual fees, a black membership is actually about $30 per month. For a dollar a day, I'm pleased to have so many places to work out including two 24/7 gyms within 20 minutes away.

I have been a member of every major gym and planet fitness is among the better values, Especially for an individual gym membership.

Good job on the repavement. Thats a boss move and the asphalt wasnt even that bad to begin,so cudos to the lot owner. 4 star because the recent replacement set up of gym equipment space wise is good but getting rid of the box jumps was a bad move. Ok there is always 10 more than will ever be used at a time, but to completely eradicate them was not a good idea at all.

I just joined and I love it here. I use the app to see when it’s busy and go when it’s lower key. The place is huge, clean, and I never have to wait to use anything. The temp is cool and I’ve not see anything out of order. Recommend.

Ive had a good experience so far at the gym itself in my workout, except they don’t have a strap for my ankle.

My biggest problem is I started here 4 weeks ago and I love it besides a charge of $27 from planetfitness just popped up on my card when I havent even been there a full month and already paid $25 for this month 🤔🤔 I get to to digging and see somthing about annual fees which I had no clue about never was explained to me not even sure if this charge was that… regardless its not even the amount of the annual fee and my bill for the 1st says $54 which I was told it wouldnt be taken out til May 1st after asking an employee about it but its being taken out April 1st thats $110 spent on my first month( 6 weeks to be exact) at planet fitness🤣 I think Ill be canceling my membership before the annual fee is deducted out of my account if I’m not refunded my $27 that was taken for no reason at all and change the date to May 1st for the “annual fee”.
And I was suppose to get a $1 deal but that never happened🤣

Parking lot gets full often. If you park along the edge, tree branches will hit your car. They do not trim. Similar to the inside. Gets very dirty. Often no soap. Often no toilet paper. Lot of the equipment is broken, 60lb barbell has been broken for atleast 6 months.

Workers will literally clean the ceiling as youre hitting a pump and dust will fall on you. Lol.

Matter of fact, last time I was in here. Someone was smoking onies in the locker room. Lol. The gym sucks, but its 10 bucks. It is what it is.

I have been doing a circuit all body workout and all my machines are right next to each other making it quick and easy. Plus on the Planet Fitness App it'll let you know how busy your gym is . I also love you the water massage chair or table after a workout. I've also been taking advantage of bringing a friend. I want to start tanning but I keep forgetting my eye wear which is required.

Ms. Arianna is an awesome gym manager! She’s always busy with improving the facility and the staff. Her team is very courteous and respectful. I absolutely love Planet Fitness as a whole and the employees are always so friendly and super helpful but I notice a couple things that have left a bad taste in my mouth..the employees seem to like to dust machines and equipment that people are using. This is super disrespectful! If someone is using a machine they should not dust that machine because dust (which is made up of other people’s dead skin cells) is getting on me, my belongings and my drink. This is gross! There are plenty of other machines and equipment to dust that’s dont have people at them. Dust the machines not being used please?!

This is for Noah a staff member. I was in the other night and there were guests sitting on the steps in the 30 min area. It has gotten so bad with people sitting on equipment like the whole place is a lounge. I've gotten better at addressing people to move when they sit there for a long time. But last night, Noah went up to them and showed different things they can do on the steps. He was so enthusiastic and positive. It was awesome to have someone address the people lounging. I am a Content Creator, "CJ Boram Best-Trainer" (on Facebook), and I've always viewed PF as a beginner gym. But, as a former elite athlete this Fitness Club has been a great experience for me. My favorite area is the 360 section and the Abs section, because I love dynamic movements. This is a great Fitness Club for beginners and can be useful by advanced athletes as well. I highly recommend West Saint Paul Plant Fitness for people that are both beginners and experienced. PLUS it is inexpensive!!!

The curly haired women that is a manger is easily the most disrespectful person I have ever met. I have brought up my concern about the tanning beds being filthy multiple times, there’s hair and dead skin in every crevice you look. HER “cleaning” the beds is just wiping off the surface area. On top of that if you request a certain bed the manager will give you an attitude like you haven’t seen before. I’m seriously confused how she is still employed, my family members and I have each and an experience with her. Also if I leave this review on the app, continently enough she’s the one that calls and deals with it no I don’t think she’s ever had real accountability about her actions. I am severely over qualified to work there but I’ve considered apply just to take her job because she is so miserable CONSTANTLY!!!!

I like coming here because of the black card perks. I don't work out. But I travel a lot from Wisconsin to Minnesota for work. I don't waste my money on hotels. instread, I have a mattress in my van and I sleep in it. So coming here to tan, massage and shower has been a good experience. I really like how the staff allows homeless ppl to be able to come and shower here. It's warming to see that some ppl still have good hearts. I most definitely will be a customer with planet fitness for a while. I love the amenities.

Enormous pot holes in from parking lot, been there for years. Everyday there’s 3-5 machines out of order. Now they’re putting these horribly smelling fragrance pods everywhere. They absolutely stink and for people with allergies or are sensitive to fragrances it feels like your suffocating.

I have just started coming here for about a month with some friends and my brother to work out. So far I haven’t experienced anything too bad. There have been a few machines out of service but I get things break and need attention. It seems decently clean so far. It can be very crowded here but only at certain times of the day. So first time I went to this location it was great. Went back there a couple nights later and it was polar opposite. Went to use the red light and there were a bunch of teens in the hall going in and out of the rooms and sitting on the tanning beds. I shut the door to go into the red light and they got super loud so I went out and yelled at them to quiet down. Apparently a couple of them were fighting over something. So I guess if that’s the local hangout for these kids I won’t be going back to that location and I’m sure a lot of other adults will not be as well

First time going to the gym and I have loved it. Lots of equipment, useful app to help, and everyone is minding their own business working out. Really feels like the judgement free zone advertised. I honestly don't use the facility to work out, I use the tanning beds, hydro message, and regular message chairs, that's it. 25 bucks unlimited/ on e per day tanning 50 bucks cheaper than 1234_ $tan! Up to date beds as well, all levels.

I canceled my membership after being a member for since PF opened (2017?)! Customer service means NOTHING to PF. Whenever a customer makes a suggestion or asks why, PF's
answer is always “corporate this and that”. Employee turnover is high and every time a new district manager starts, they make a "policy change" that is supposed to address employee issues, but it penalizes the customers. Recently, the new DM decided to remove all of the cleaning solution, paper towels, and trash bins from the tanning rooms and employees are supposed to be responsible for cleaning them. Well, they don't, or not as well as they should. I saw an employee use the same towel to clean multiple beds! GROSS! Another "policy change" is if a customer wants to buy a beverage, employees cannot get beverages from the cooler unless there is a supervisor or manager present - again, penalizing the customers. There's NEVER a supervisor or manager there, especially during overnight/early AM.

Safety to cleanliness has gone downhill from when I joined. The employees let homeless people sleep in the Black Card “Spa” (ha!!). The parking lot is always full of trash and they don’t clear the snow from the parking lot or entryway, so it’s dangerous for slips and falls. The parking lot is dark and unsafe with homeless people and semi-drivers sleeping in their vehicles; and vehicles and people being robbed. The Black Card is NOT a "spa". and filthy. The tanning beds are disgusting with hair and grim/dust caked in the corners and under the glass. The hard and useless stools in the rooms are always caked and smudged with something gross. I certainly don't want to use the massage beds after homeless people have been sleeping on them. There are no paper towels or cleaning solutions in the locker rooms. The lockers are dirty inside and out and need to be wiped down regularly, but never are.

PF changed all the TVs channels to sports, shopping, and infomercial channels. It used to be a good mix of local and sports channels - but PF arbitrarily changed them without customer input and of course when you ask about it ... "corporate this and that". Many customers used to watch the local news and weather and PF simply don't care what their customers want!

PF claims their focus is on creating a safe, clean, and friendly gym experience for the PAYING customers, but that has NEVER been the vibe here.

I cancelled my membership on the 16th. Even if I wanted to I cannot use your gym after the 16th. I don’t understand why you would still charge days later for a service I could not even access. I reviewed your membership cancellation form as this was not explained to me when I went to your facility to cancel. I don’t know how you can justify setting a cancellation request effective date 30 days later after you require people to actually walk-in to cancel but set the last day to use the club on the same day. That’s a disgusting business practice and I would never recommend you to anybody ever again.

I have been a customer for close to 2 years. West Saint Paul location is going down hill. I pay for Black Card membership so I can get discount on drinks. The drinks are now
