My reason for a 2 star is because of the girl that works there signing memberships. I travel for work that requires sometimes I pick up and leave within a few days. I expressed this to the girl when signing up and she said “no worries, we can cancel your membership anytime”. Except when I went into cancel she wouldn’t cancel and said there’s a 30 day cancellation. She’s dishonest and for this I would say go to Freebs or some other gym.

Good sauna, good equipment. Women’s lockers are perpetually broken and don’t lock, ceiling tiles missing in dressing rooms which feels sketchy as a woman, water from the dispenser tastes sooo nasty, showers never have soap in the dispensers, basically starting to look like a landlord special. Unfortunate because it really has potential to be amazing. I do love the hydro-massage and sauna. Just wish maintenance was better. It looks like the build wasn’t completed totally.

Gym is much cleaner and easier to get a hold of stuff since the new owners took over a few months ago. Love coming when we do to work out. I'll keep that time slot a secret as maybe we are just lucky, but there are always good folks there getting their pump on

People are nice. If you like machines and cable’s there are a lot of those. The free weights are poorly organized between two levels. Not enough plates either. Seems like the cleaning has gone downhill too, maybe due to change of ownership. Lots of equipment needs maintenance. There are also two industrial sized garages on either side of the gym, resulting in exhaust fumes inside the gym.

Staff are very friendly and that’s not sarcasm for what I’m about to say. My expensive flannel was stolen and there’s a bunch of high schoolers slamming and breaking equipment that will take them months/years to replace. Also the bathrooms and equipment are always dirty.

Good gym, consistent issues with billing, locked out of gym often, moved to duluth and found out that I will be billed for a month I’m not using the gym as they require a 30 day cancellation notice which I was never informed of when receiving membership.

Lux is an absolutely fantastic gym, definitely the nicest gym available on the range. There’s a few things that make Lux a great gym.
The staff are incredibly friendly and very welcoming, there’s a lot of passion behind this gym and it shows with the way they treat all their members.
The gym has a plethora of equipment that anyone, regardless of their fitness goals, can utilize. Having enough equipment and the right equipment is something I’ve struggled with at other gyms prior to Lux.
And finally this culminates to an atmosphere and environment that allows you to have a great workout and makes you excited for your next one.
Cannot recommend Lux enough!
