I was in town for treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Nic and his team set me up to workout for the 2 weeks while I was in town. Their team and the gym members are so warm and friendly! The coaches here are very knowledgeable about how to come up with the right exercises for me based on my needs. I get the right encouragement needed to do better, without pressure to compete against anyone but myself. The gym has great equipment, but it is the coaches and community that have make this place special for the last 7+ years. I can't even imagine where I would be without them!

I've been a member at Progression Fitness for nearly 12 years and it's been life-changing for me. Prior to coming here I was active, but not athletic. Over the past 12 years I have not only gained strength, but confidence, and an amazing and supportive community! The coaches are well trained, knowledgeable, professional, and extremely encouraging. If you are unable to do certain movements they are skilled at giving an alternate, but stiΔΊl challenging, movement to sub with. Progression Fitness checks all my boxes: a top notch and clean facility, well equipped, the BEST coaches, and a wide variety of class times. I have been at Progression just under a year, but it has become my new gym home. I have done CrossFit for over 10 years, and the owners and coaches here are the best I have come across. There is room for everyone here--brand new, former athletes, people who want to compete, people working to overcome illness and disability. I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. Still being new-ish to Rochester, I feel most at home when I am at this gym.

I have been going to this amazing gym for 10+ years. The coaching is unparalleled, facility is huge and CLEAN, and programming is adaptable for all levels of fitness. They have trained nutrition coaches who focus on sustainable habits to achieve long-term success in maintaining overall health.
The members here are so encouraging and will help keep you accountable; they truly are my second family. And throughout the year they do fundraisers to help local community groups.

Progress Fitness has become my home (away from home)! I had an interest in CrossFit for several years, but was so out of shape, old, & intimidated that I hesitated looking into it for far too long! After 4 personal sessions with Nic (thanks bud!) I was hooked & determined to improve my health & fitness. I am also rehabbing after 2 shoulder surgeries. The expert, approachable coaches help me modify movements for every single class. I am forever indebted to this amazing & welcoming community!

I am a returning member to this gym. I have only had wonderful experience at this gym. I started several years ago and joined in crossfit classes, lost alot of weight and got into shape. Did some personal training with Nic who is awesome! I took a break due to being an "advanced human" and had hip replacement and am back. To start out, I went back to person al training with Julie who is phenomenal. Currently in a Rev class with an instructor who is equally amazing and is so patient with me to make sure I am doing things right for best benefit or to avoid injury. Everyone is encouraged no matter skill level or ability. I like the variety of class times to choose from. I like the extra activities this gym offers. I have always found that the equipment here good.

After a dozen or so years of occasionally signing up at a 24 hour equipment only gym, only to walk in and realize I have no idea what to do after I walked on a treadmill for 10 minutes, a coworker started inviting me to Progression as part of their friends and family days. It was clear that this was something very different.
Fast forward a few years and my husband and I are still here. Is it more expensive than the monthly 24 hour gym? Yeah - but it is an investment that has been worth it and we have decided to prioritize (and for what I get for my money, a much smarter investment than my other gym memberships).
Progression is my spot for my physical and mental health. It is filled with laughs and friendships and goals and tough work and wins. I'm supported by coaches to make adjustments to fit my fitness and skill level, as well as body limitations. I like the variety of REV (longer, more endurance/cardio style) and the daily CrossFit Workout (more strength based work, traditionally). Getting to know the coaches and building friendships has helped me feel like I belong, which is something I never felt walking into other gyms.
I have increased my capacity to be a good parent, spouse, friend, and to be kind to myself. I seek adventure and have had experiences I may never had. I have my coaches and workout friends at Progression to thank for that - couldn't do it without you (and definitely wouldn't have wanted to)!

I have had a wonderful experience at Progression and it is because of the owners, coaching staff and other members! I started off unsure if I could do Crossfit, but the coaches demonstrate and walk you through every movement and are available for individual help as needed. They want to see you succeed! In a word...community. This place has it. The coaches are knowledgeable, they know every member by name and make an effort to connect with each person on a daily basis. The workouts are fantastic, but really it is the people (coaches and members alike) that make this place worthwhile. When I'm having a bad day, I come here and as soon as I walk through the door my spirits are lifted. I've been going to Progression for about 4 years, and I can't say enough good things about it. Here are my top 3:
1) The coaches are amazing! Since I've started, I've added more than 100lbs to my back squat and have become a competitive athlete. I am now a D1 NCAA diver, and I couldn't have become such a strong diver without help from the coaches. When I first joined my college team, my lift coach was blown away with my technique and overall strength, and I was the highest performing lifter on the Swimming and Diving team. Moreover, since joining Progression, I haven't had any long-term lift injuries, which goes to demonstrate the emphasis on technique and expertise of the coaches at Progression.
2) Progression is for everyone! It doesn't matter where you are when you're starting. The coaches will happily modify movements to your level of expertise/ability, including modifying workouts to accommodate for injuries. Both my parents are part of the Progression community, and we can all get a good workout even though we are very different athletes.
3) The community is the best! Every time I'm back from school, I'll make my way back to the gym. As a college student who has been remote for almost a year, I was actually a little sad to go back to school because I knew I would have to leave Progression! It doesn't matter who you are, the Progression community makes the gym a home.
I absolutely love Crossfit Progression, and I highly recommend it to anybody thinking about joining a crossfit gym.

This place is what my wife and I have been looking for! We moved away from a Gym we loved in Michigan and wanted something to fill our void. I had never stepped foot into a gym before coming to CrossFit Progression. I was very nervous and thought it would be very intimidating. It was the complete opposite. EVERYONE: coaches, other members are very friendly and helpful. The coaches know what they are doing and they specialize in individualizing the workout for every single member in each class! I am naturally shy, and at Progression it's not possible for me to be afraid to ask for whatever help or guidance I need (if they aren't already right on it!) for the best workout experience possible each and every day I attend. If you are on the fence about it - sign up. I promise it will be worth the investment into both your physical and mental health. It's one of the best decisions I've made in caring for myself.

My husband and I joined CrossFit Progression in August after attending just 1 experimental class, and weβre extremely pleased! We were already CrossFit members prior to joining so we're familiar with all the exercises, but all levels and ages are welcome. Donβt be concerned about never having done CrossFit because the coaches plan the classes to target all levels. Itβs never too late to start and learn. For me, the best part of CrossFit is the variety of exercises. Each class is different so youβll never get bored, and thereβs always something that can be improved.
Iβve had the privilege of getting to know nearly all the coaches due to the different times of day I can work out, and theyβre all competent, friendly and outstanding coaches. The gym is clean and has taken the proper COVID-19 precautionary measures. They keep members informed via email, text and social media, there are various class times you can attend, open gym sessions for those who want to work out on their own and meeting times available with the coaches to discuss personal goals and nutrition. Thereβs also a body scan machine available to all members to track progress. Weβre happy to be part of the CrossFit progression community. We encourage anyone whoβs looking to try something new or get fit in a great atmosphere to try it out!

Progression fitness was one of the biggest highlights in Rochester. I am so glad I joined in the short time that I had left in town. They certainly are a beast when it comes to crossfit. Nic is an incredibly energetic, motivating, knowledgeable and kind coach who goes above and beyond to help you out. Each of the personal training sessions and regular classes are a guaranteed workout! Loved all the classes from other coaches as well. Really welcoming gym who bring in a great sense of community. Where do I begin...CrossFit Progression has been showered rightfully with numerous accolades and there are a plethora of reasons. The gym is enormous and has plenty of equipment and is very clean and organized. There are plenty of classes and class types for your particular fitness goals. There are the typical CrossFit classes and Olympic lifting classes, but what I also love that is a great asset for this box is the Rev classes which are great metabolic conditioning classes without having to do a lot of high rep Olympic type lifts. The coaches at CrossFit Progression are so caring and professional about their teaching. You can easily tell that they are devoted to improving each member's health and fitness and work with your current abilities to get through each workout. They are especially concerned if you have an injury and will come up with the appropriate modification to allow you to continue to participate and get the workout results. Finally, the community of athletes at CrossFit Progression makes this box so incredible and accessible. The community's strength is its variety of different ages and athletic abilities and the common goal of "getting better together". If one can just make that first individual decision to start, then together with these exceptional coaches one can be more than they could ever imagine.

If you're looking for a beast Crossfit gym in Rochester, MN, this is the place to go! I dropped into a few classes at Crossfit Progression while I was in Rochester for work, and the people couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The coaches I worked with, Nic and Sara, were fantastic! They did a great job at coaching my technique, and were adept in providing alternative options/modifications with each workout when needed. The facility at Crossfit Progression is the best I've ever seen. They moved into the new location a year ago and it has tons of space, it's clean, and they even have showers. I had a great experience here and highly recommend this gym to all beginner and experienced athletes looking for exceptional fitness training.

I've been in and out of different gyms for the past 15 years, but I've never been apart of a gym like Crossfit Progression. The coaches are amazingly supportive and encouraging, and are able to give appropriate and meaningful advice to anyone from the untrained athlete to the most hardcore. Workouts are varied every day, so you won't ever be bored. Expect expert help on everything from mobility and recovery, to diet and lifting technique.
