My daughter has been at Rhythm and Shoes since she was in preschool. She absolutely loves it! All of the staff and teachers are amazing! She has learned so much technique and life lessons being there. This year has been especially great with the new location and the individual attention she gets with learning new techniques and real dancing skills. She is currently in middle school and plans on attending throughout high school. Rhythm and Shoes is a great place to send your dancer to learn and to make great friends!

My daughter has been taking classes at Rhythm and Shoes since she was in kindergarten. She is now starting her senior year and still loves dancing here. She loves the continued innovation with both consistent instructors and new teachers bringing new ideas. Elena (owner) attends conferences, is a guest teacher at other studios, and is always looking for ways to help the dancers expand their skills and find new ways to love dance. All of this while maintaining a non-competitive atmosphere at the studio. I love that this studio has always been a wonderful place for any child to dance, no matter what size they are, what color their skin, what gender they are, etc.

I danced at Rhythm and Shoes for 9 years until I graduated high school in 2016, then came back after college and have been in the adult classes for 3 years! The time I spent here from 4th-12th grade was incredibly formative, and the adult classes have brought me the same joy. This community continues to be so supportive, and Iβve always felt so seen as both a person and dancer. The friendships I made here have lasted for over a decade, and I credit that to the environment that has been created. Rhythm and Shoes has an atmosphere where students are not competing against each other, yet uplifting their friends to become stronger dancers and better people.

My daughter danced at Rhythm and Shoes for six years and loved her experience. The skills she learned helped her grow into a beautiful dancer. Having always wanted to take an adult dance class myself, I finally signed up for adult ballet and just completed my first recital. The staff and students were welcoming to my daughter six years ago and now to me this year. Thank you for creating an environment where dancers of all ages feel included, supported, and encouraged. Iβm looking forward to more dance classes in my future β€οΈ

My goddaughter has been a student here since 2019. We were able to virtually watch her recital from out of state during Covid. It was so great to see the studio being flexible and putting in the effort to continue.
Flash forwards to 2024 and I still get to be a part of her recital experience from out of state! I was able to add a good luck note into the program from us and the studio has coordinated with a florist so I we can have flowers given to her without us being able to be there.
I know this is unconventional review, but when a studio cares this much, I think it should be recognized.
Thank you Rhythm and Shoes Dance Studio!!

We were excited to have my daughter join dance classes at a local place. Upon joining, unfortunately the staff were not friendly and very uninviting/unhelpful. They charged us up front for a recital dress (within the first week). After my daughter decided she no longer wanted to go after two classes, because the teachers were not friendly, we asked either for the dress we paid for or a refund. They have yet to respond after several attempts.

My daughters have been dancing here for several years. We live 2 blocks from another dance studio and drive the extra 15 mins to go here because they love it there. The teachers are very good with the kids and they always create fun to watch dances. The staff there are always friendly and helpful with any questions we may have. This is not a competition studio which is exactly what we were looking for. A fun well run studio for our kids.

We all have choices on where we want to take our children to experience any kind of activity, and in the three interactions that we had here we realized this was not the place to bring our child. That doesn't mean other families haven't loved this place or had good experiences. I also think it is easy to say something is inclusive when your family structure matches that of every other family at the organization. It was not right for us and that is ok. I am mostly disappointed in the lack of post exit communication given that I have communicated multiple times with them.

My two daughters have been going to this dance studio for 5 years now. As students, they love the sense of community, the kind teachers, and the FUN they have there every week. As a parent, I appreciate the great communication, the inclusivity, the reasonable cost, the encouragement dancers receive to grow technically, and the way these teachers absolutely LOVE all the students. I also love that older dancers step into the role of mentor for younger dancers. It certainly is a wonderful community. This place feels like home and weβll be staying for as long as my children continue dancing!

My daughters experience with R&S is excellent over these past seven years. I love that they are non-competing dance studio that prides itself on dancers of all ages and abilities. It is a fun, learning environment that promotes equality, respect and self esteem. Costumes and attire are age appropriate with modesty in mind. I even danced for a year with no previous experience.

Rhythm and Shoes isn't just a dance studio. It is a community that supports and encourages the students who participate in the classes. From the moment you walk in the door, you can feel the positive, uplifting energy shown from the staff that transcends to the students. Additionally, as a parent, I appreciate the age appropriate costumes and music choices.

This is a non-competitive studio with a spring recital and a performance team. We love the family-friendly atmosphere. Teachers understand that dance isn't the only thing in their students lives and are accommodating. Music and costumes at the recital are age-appropriate. They have great classes from pre-K through adult.

I knew absolutely nothing about dance and all of a sudden I have a 3 year old begging me to take dance lessons. After talking with a few parents I decided to check out out Rhythm & Shoes. I looked at their website and saw they were having an upcoming open house so with my daughter in tow we went and checked it out. The teachers were there to answer all of my questions and so I decided to sign her up for the preschool class. I thought for sure my little introvert would become a puddle at the dance recital. Fast forward 8 years! My daughter absolutely loves dancing at Rhythm & Shoes! This studio has totally given her confidence that I never could. She has made wonderful friends. She just loves all of her teachers. She really loves the summer day camps there as well. I can see her dancing here for years to come.

We love Rhythm & Shoes. My daughter joined R&S about a year ago after leaving an extremely competitive studio. She loves the community here. Everyone is welcome, it's so encouraging and they are always doing fun things! Jodi and team are amazing. We are very grateful for this experience for our middle-schooler.

Rhythm and Shoes has had a HUGE impact on my daughter's life! We have been an R&S family for 16 years. My daughter is now pursuing a BFA in Dance at a top rated program in the US. This stemmed from her first experiences at this studio. She has always felt supported, encouraged, and loved! Not only is it a great environment for children to learn, it is also fantastic for adults. I, timidly, decided to try dance a few years back and absolutely love it! R & S accepts and encourages everyone! Over the years I have learned that it is not just about dance...it is all about creating positive feelings and supporting one another!

Weβve been a family of Rhythm and Shoes for 5 years. Both of my girls were shy and anxious to begin with, but being a part of rhythm and shoes has helped their confidence grow tremendously! They love the teachers just as much as their fellow dancers. The past year has been hard during the pandemic. The only stability my kids had was dance. The owner, Jodi has worked effortlessly to make the studio a safe and welcoming place to the kids as well as keep it as normal as possible. My oldest is on the dance team. She loves being a part of the performance company. Our family loves going to watch her at Saints games, Timberwolves games, parades and more! She has built so many relationships with these girls and learned so many new skills. Iβm glad she has a strong support system with them. I love watching my girls grow in their dancing and stage presence every season. We are so grateful for Rhythm and Shoes, Miss Jodi and all The staff!

Our family loves Rhythm and Shoes! Our family has been with the studio for over 8 years and we have grown to love the owner and teachers like family! We love the costume choices and optional make up as well as the all around studio fun and community of friends we have made through the years! The performance company that does parades, fun events-ball games and shows is wonderful too! Our daughter has grown through that program for 4 years and all the dance class options to truly enjoy her passion for dance (our son and other daughter dance there too!) There will never be a perfect studio as things can go wrong which is out of their control but this truly is a great studio that cares about their students and families!

Our daughter loves her time at R&S. The staff focuses on building empowered dancers who see their peers as family in and out of the studio. Our 12 year old has been a part of R&S for 3 years and every year begs to be in more classes and be as involved as possible. As a parent I LOVE R&S selection of music and costumes. I hate seeing other studios put their young dancers in barely there costumes, 3" of makeup, performing non-age appropriate moves. R&S is doing in right and keeps on improving year after year.
Jodi is truly embracing this community, bringing people together and giving back in so many ways.
