Dance schoolAbout the Club
Our mission here at Shooting Stars Dance is to provide the highest quality, all-inclusive dance education that we can. Our students are not only learning dance steps and technique, but also about their body and how it moves, music and rhythm, emotions and communication, responsibility and dedication, and how to belong and contribute to a community. Our younger dancers are receiving an all-inclusive curriculum focused on brain-based learning. The concepts that they are working on in dance class will help them build a strong foundation for academic skills such as reading and math. Our older dancers are learning valuable leadership skills that will benefit them far beyond the dance classroom or stage.

This studio is more than your typical studio, it is family. They put the health and well-being of the dancers as their top priority. My family has seen this first hand and as a mom it's the best feeling knowing your kiddo has another home that is a safe space for them. Thank you SSD!

Shooting Stars Dance has been one of the best experiences for both my daughter as a dancer and for me as her mom. My daughter has loved being on the competitive team where she has grown in skill and confidence, made incredible friendships, and blossomed into a brave young lady. Iβve developed friendships with amazing women. The studio owners treat everyone like they are part of the family. One of my favorite things is watching the older dancers grow and mature in such a way that they eventually choreograph for the younger dancers, teach classes, or assist classes. They help at competitions or around the studio. They learn to be leaders. Shooting Stars is about so much more than dance. Itβs a family that teaches the children to be amazing human beings.

We love shooting stars. My daughter started when she was 3 years old and was so nervous she wouldnβt go into her dance class without me. The staff were incredible with helping her build confidence and independence. She is now in her 5th dance season and Shooting Stars has become a second family. My daughter has grown so much and has so much more confidence. She loves going to dance. Not only did they teach her technical dance skills but they instilled and supported personal growth as well. If you have a shy artistic kiddo like I do, I highly recommend getting them into the studio and have Shooting Stars help foster their growth and confidence.

I grew up going to the studio before it was Shooting Stars and now as an adult I am back in the adult classes. I also did the Me & My Shadow class with my daughter this last year, and am so excited for her to start the primary class! I love their curriculum and how it is tailored to each dancer with a levels system. It really promotes growth for the students. All the staff has been knowledgeable and welcoming to everyone. We love it here!

My daughter wasn't loving gymnastics anymore, so she tried out dance here. She started in the middle of the program year, and was welcomed with open arms. Great people!

We love Shooting Stars Dance! We have been part of this family for close to 10 years and it's been such a fantastic journey. All the staff are fantastic and like family to us. My 14-year-old has shown so much progress the last few years and they really push her to be the best dancer she can be. I would recommend Shooting Stars Dance to anyone!!

My girls have been going to shooting stars now for a couple of years and I can say myself and for my girls, we love it! We like the fact that it's not just the focus on learning dance. Susie has worked into each level good sportsmanship manners and etiquette. Very important skills for our youth to have. The staff are all very friendly and get to know all the dancers and parents which makes it feel very home like. Susie a d the staff makes everything so easy and as stress free as it possibly can be as well as being very understanding. I am so happy to have my girls be part of this studio!

Shooting Stars Dance is a fantastic studio. We have enjoyed watching our young dancer grow. They value developing their dancers technique while also holding a space for them to feel safe and be themselves. We are so proud to be part of the SSD family.

I danced for Shooting Stars Dance when they opened in 1999. My children dance here, with my daughter about to begin her 11th year. The teaching staff is amazing, and Shooting Stars has become more than just a dance studio, they are family.

If I had a choice I would give this 0 stars. I joined here when I was 13 and my parents were charged HUNDREDS of unrefeundable dollars for me and my older sister to keep getting put in classes with 6 - 9 year old girls. (Seriously, when I heard the lady tell them the price, even I freaked out) I was litterally the only one who could do way more than just a cartwheel. I was already doing back hand springs and walkovers and I was very flexible and nobody considered putting me in a more advanced class! Another time, the hip hop teacher didn't show up and left us with a 12 year old and some other girl who looked under 20! Finally, they changed the schedule and classes for everyone without any notice so everyone including the teachers were confused. They separated me from all my friends and put us into some ballet technique class with little girls which we didn't even sign up for! I signed up for acro and my older sis signed for hip hop!! I really started to feel they were doing this on purpose considering the owner was very stuck up and didn't care about our issues. After the second unnecessary ballet class, we had enough and finally quit. I was part of this dance school for about 6 months.. half a year worth all of this?! My sister even suspected racism because we were the only Asian American ones out of all the white girls. I'm not exactly sure if that's the case, but I absolutely do not recommend this place.. especially for teenagers!

I used to be a student here along with my sister--until we quit in October. And to be honest, this isn't such a nice dance school, and I've got a really upsetting history behind this.
We joined last April and we loved it for a while. But as the weather got cooler, the classes started to change and become more boring. One problem was that my sister and I are teenagers and we kept getting put in classes with five to nine-year-olds. Another problem was once during acro/hip hop class, when my hip hop teacher didn't show up and was replaced with an instructor who was a few years younger than me. My worst moment at that same time was when she was instructing us to do an acro trick which made me hurt my back! (It hurt so much, that it felt like I broke my whole torso!) My parents were NOT happy to know about all of this.
Finally, a few weeks later, the schedule was ruined and became confusing to everyone, and the class that my sister and I were put in was so boring, it was very bad! My parents tried to talk to the lady at the front desk about making some arrangements, but she turned out to be arrogant and would not look straight at them when they were talking. So, that was when we decided to quit that low-quality dance school!
And that was the very last time we went there. I even came home crying so bad, and started to suspect that they cheated me and my sister because we're half Asian and we're not from around this small town. Now ever since then, I started teaching myself dancing at home.
Parents, if your family is not from around this small town, I clearly do NOT recommend that you sign up your kids at this dance school. I don't mean to sound angry, but I am telling the truth!
DO NOT CHOOSE THIS DANCE SCHOOL.ππ«
