In addition to their passion and expertise, the ownership (and staff) are super welcoming and friendly. They welcome all levels of fitness and go above and beyond to make classes fun and creative. The facility has a fresh face lift and they’ve invested in new equipment making this the best overall location and experience you’ll find.

I've been a member of SISU on and off for the last 7 years - this gym is by far one of the best you will find in the Twin Cities area! The community is absolutely amazing, some of the best people you will encounter. The programming has evolved a lot over the last several years and really landed on something that makes it feel like gym-goers are able to really make progress in their fitness. The new-ish owners of the Medina location are making a ton of great improvements to the space. Overall, 5-star gym all around!

I’ve been a member at CrossFit SISU for a year now, and it’s become one of the most positive and consistent parts of my daily routine. This is the first time I’ve found something fitness-related that I truly enjoy and want to stick with long-term.

The coaching at SISU is excellent—each coach actively coaches during class, offers smart scaling options, and helps work around any injuries or limitations. They’re supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you get better.

The community is just as good. The other members are friendly, encouraging, and make working out something I actually look forward to. It’s a great group of people who support and challenge each other in all the right ways.

If you’re looking for a well-run CrossFit gym with great coaches and a welcoming environment, I highly recommend CrossFit SISU.

I have been working out at SISU in Medina for a little over a year. My goal when I started was to learn how to care for my own body and to learn what my body needs. A year later I have accomplished that and more here at SISU. The SISU coaches and community have been very supportive of me and my goals this past year - whether that was helping me with nutrition, encouraging me through a workout, teaching me, pushing me to lift heavier or to keep moving, it has all helped in some way. I feel healthier today not only physically but emotionally and spiritually as well!

I've been going to CrossFit SISU in Medina for about six weeks now, and it's honestly been an amazing decision. Before joining, it had been over five years since I participated in group fitness classes—I mostly stuck to working out alone, whether lifting weights or running, usually just once a week. But I realized how much I missed the community, the coaching, the varied programming, and especially the accountability that comes with group workouts.

A friend from St. Paul recommended CrossFit after enjoying it himself for several months. I'm genuinely grateful he did. From day one, everyone at SISU—from coaches to fellow members—has been incredibly supportive and welcoming, especially important since I had no prior CrossFit experience. I'm already noticing improvements mentally and physically, and I look forward to attending class every day I can.

I have truly enjoyed being a member at My Town for the last year. I was nervous to start & the community here just embraced me, which motivated me to keep getting better. The nutrition advice was such a huge component, helping me to lose over 50 lbs from when I started. Class sizes are small and personalized, so you get to know the coaches and other members. Our morning class is like family to me now & we hold one another accountable and lift each other up when workouts are tough. If you're on the fence about trying it, just jump in. You won't regret it!

When someone asks you who invented the light bulb, you say Thomas Edison. Right? That’s who everyone thinks about when they hear ‘light-bulb’, but he actually wasn’t the inventor. He just took the existing light bulb and made it better. That Better was by making simple changes to make it more effective and make it longer lasting. This is what has happened for me at CrossFit My Town. They took what everyone thought about ‘gym’ and made simple changes to make it better, more effective and longer lasting. If crossfit scares you, or you think you aren't ready for this type of workout, My Town is the best place to start! Encouraging coaches who value form and safety, wonderful community of athletes, and the right equipment to grow and challenge each person. I could never stick with a fitness program, but a year and a half in, I'm still coming 3xs a week!
