I have been attending Crossfit Slipstream since the fall when i moved to the city. I have been a regular participant at other gyms across the country but Slipstream has provided me with the detailed attention to form and posture that i have previous missed. Classes are small, coaches patient/knowledgeable and i really feel like i am back on track with a new perspective on the sport.

I have in addition, taken a nutritional program with Slipstream - over a 6 week period they work with you to refine your eating habits, tailoring them to meet your goals. This has been a really enlightening process for me, i previously prided myself in being somewhat nutritionally literate but this course has really proved pretty eye-opening as to my own eating habits.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Crossfit Slipstream to anyone - the experienced or the newbie - all are made to feel very welcome here.

I've been a member of CrossFit Slipstream for over two years now, and I absolutely love it! It's a really supportive and encouraging atmosphere. The coaches meet you where you are and are very knowledgeable. I recommend this gym to anyone who is curious about what CrossFit has to offer!

I was a spectator and my son was a participant in the 2019 Summer Throwdown. I just want to express how impressed I was at the facility, staff and especially the participants of the Throwdown! The thing that really got me is how not one of the participants gave up! They rocked!! If I were 40 years younger, I'd join, but I must say my most recent workouts have been the best. Thanks for the motivation!!!

Crossfit Slipstream is a great place to go if you are thinking about starting Crossfit. The coaches are very supportive and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. They care about form and safety, and truly take the time to make sure you are prepared for the workouts. They work with your capabilities, but also push you and challenge you.

I highly recommend CrossFit Slipstream if you are considering joining a CrossFit gym. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, and will work shoulder-to-shoulder with you to help you achieve your goals. The gym itself has all of the equipment you would need and it's kept very clean. They even host free introductory classes so you can get a taste of the workouts and meet coaches and other members. I've been coming to Slipstream for more than three months and I have seen tremendous improvements in terms of strength, stamina, mobility, and overall energy throughout the day. I feel very grateful to have found this hidden gem of Twin Cities.

I'm into my 4th month of crossfit under the instruction of the Slipstream coaches. I doubt you'll find more knowledgeable coaches anywhere in the Twin Cities area. In this short time, I have a better understanding of the philosophy behind Crossfit and I have to say, I have drank the koolaid! I feel better. I am leaner. I can (almost) tie my shoes without grunting and I definitely have more energy. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming to beginners and the more experienced alike. Give this place a try! You'll live longer!

The team at Crossfit Slipstream is fantastic. Coaches and members were all encouraging and friendly. When they state they are welcoming of all ability levels, they truly mean it. I didn't feel shamed at all for needing to modify to decrease difficulty, and the coaches gladly showed me easier variations. I have little to no experience weight lifting and no prior experience with CrossFit, and I happily came back for a second guest day.

First visited this gym during a Halloween themed night. John & Susan were very friendly and passionate about their business. The work out was tough for a newbie but manageable and left feeling good about what I accomplished. They offered solutions for everyone both new and experienced with Cross Fit. I loved the location, the building is tucked away from the busyness of the city but still close for suburb commute. I will definitely recommend this gym to friends and family!

I have been coming to Crossfit Slipstream, for 18 months and the encouragement and support from both the staff, coaches and members makes ALL the difference. Having started out from a point of Zero and even through rough spots, everyone is very helpful. Slipstream , is bright and CLEAN and well planned out. The workouts are challenging and adjusted to one's level accordingly - which is really helpful .

Crossfit Slipstream is amazing. They always meet you where you are at and help you progress to where you want to me. I lost my extra #25 baby weight and feel much more confident about my abilities. The atmosphere is very supportive and enjoy the support from other members as well. I've been coming to Crossfit Slipstream for over a year and very happy that I made the decision to start. The coaches are very knowledgeable and focused on safety. They do a great of scaling workouts to everyone's ability but also push you and help you realize that you are able to do more than you thought. I love kettlebells so I like that John incorporates many Russian kettlebell movements into the workouts on a regular basis.
Crossfit Slipstream also offers helpful nutrition talks, guest days, running technique seminars, fun events, and focused short-term specialty classes, which have all been helpful and fun.
Super staff, awesome members, and really clean comfortable environment! Give it a try!

If you're sick and tired of grinding out a couple miles on a treadmill at the local gym like I was, or if you're sick and tired of enduring yet another round of that at-home fitness program in your living room like I was, then you'll find CrossFit Slipstream to be a Godsend.

Working out a CrossFit Slipstream is fun, challenging and rewarding. John is a great coach, and with his help and the community of members there, I'm not only getting stronger, I find myself looking forward to my workouts -- and that's not something I've been able to say in a long, long time.

As a novice to having weights incorporated into my workouts, I was a bit apprehensive at first about how I'd fare doing things like backsquats or deadlifts. But John and Slipstream's On Ramp program was an excellent way to teach me the basics in a comfortable environment where I could learn about proper form and technique.

From there, I was able to seamlessly graduate to regular-old CrossFit classes, which are anything but regular. They're challenging, but also fun and totally customizable to your fitness level. If you can't do a prescribed move, such as pull-ups, like I can't do, John and the Slipstream coaches are quick to offer scaled options that not only allow you to work hard, but do it in a way that will push you toward being able to accomplish the moves without scaling someday. Today, I'm well on my way to doing a pull-up, and I say that honestly.

If CrossFit seems daunting or too challenging or scary, give John and the members of CrossFit Slipstream a chance to show you why it's not. You wont be disappointed.
