I love this gym so much! Everyone is so respectful and nice. Eric, the front desk gentleman is always helpful. I love that the gym is 24/7, and it’s not as crowded as other gym (which I like). Overall, I recommend this gym for everyone near by!

My below criticism of the gym's equipment still stands, but after the response from the owner and a recent experience here, I'm upgrading my review to to 5 stars. I decided to cancel my membership only because my fitness goals changed and I wanted to go to a gym with more amenities. I was expecting a hassle, but it was totally painless and easy to take care of. Don't hesitate to join here if you only need standard equipment or are just starting your fitness journey. If things don't work out at the new gym, I would rejoin this Snap in a heartbeat.

I’ve been working out here for 3 to 5 days a week for over a year. The crowd who works out there is generally very chill, good about wiping down machines and using hand sanitizer, and it’s never too busy in the mornings. It has everything you need to get in a quality workout. The biggest downside to this gym is that a lot of the equipment is in pretty rough shape and needs to be serviced or replaced. Despite that, it's got what you need to do most basic movements for strength, cardio, and a small studio space for other exercises.

Convenient, 24/7 gym with good equipment. Only reason for the 2 star review is because they make it annoying to cancel your gym membership and then they mandatory charge you 2 months membership fee. Why do they do this? Because they are a gym of course and they need to make sure they squeeze every penny out of you that is possible.

Moved here 6 months ago. Went to another snap 4 years before that. Place is always clean. Equipment gets fixed rather quick.
The last Snap things were fixed immediately and it wasn't so cramped with equipment. Which would be nice to see here.

I've been going to Snap Fitness in Golden Valley for 10 years now. The place is always clean. The manager is very knowledgable, attentive, and just an overall great person. Would I recommend this facility? Most definitely!

Poor equipment. Not heavy enough weights. I live in Golden Valley and most businesses don't require masks but now snapfitness does? Must wear even while lifting heavy weights? Even if I'm vaccinated? Yeah, no. Hard pass.

I really love this place and the convenience and location. And management is extremely helpful and super nice. The club is always well kept and superclean. And you make super great friends and it’s a great atmosphere and the machines are very well-kept and new. Snap is 24/7 and it suits the needs of a serious Power lifter to a casual cardio bunny! Love my snap!

This location is a convenient 24 hour work out facility. At high occupancy times before work lunchtime and after work and evening hours this place is overcrowded and tends to become a claustrophobic's nightmare.

If you are a tall person or if you are use
Ing the stair machine you practically bang you head on the low ceilings.

To save electricity on the late shift hour its not well lit. Every object that is stationary is painted in overpowering red. It kind of feel like you are exercising in a Target store.

The staff is only available from 4 -8 pm
M - F so it's inconvenient for sign up and questions that you have. If you work any other shift than days.

I like all of the new equipment, but I wish they would've kept the ab machine. The only gripe I have is that the restrooms aren't maintained enough with such a busy gym. Overall highly recommend. Much nicer than other Snaps I've gone to!

Really depends on what you're looking for. If you are looking for basic gym equipment, cardio options then this is a great option for you. It's kept pretty clean, particularly the bathrooms. Some of the equipment was starting to not function optimally (e.g. benches had loose screws). There's also not a huge emphasis on people putting their weights away, often folks will use equipment and leave plates on it or leave it looking like it's still in use despite moving onto different equipment. That's a personal frustration of mine! Staff very friendly and helpful. Most evenings can be super busy with personal trainers, so perhaps avoid those times.

Major praise for Snap Fitness Golden Valley and the tremendous care and connection provided by the staff to their members!

The Manager and Trainers clearly know their stuff... and they know you by name! My goals are their priority and I'm deeply motivated by the encouragement I receive. The environment is always so well kept and welcoming!

I have been a member of Snap Fitness since 2011. I truly appreciate the community feel this place has! The staff and trainers are fantastic - very friendly, supportive and can work with all levels.
I like how easy it is to get in and get your workout done! The equipment is great and there really is something there for everyone from treadmills and bikes to free weights.
I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone!

I don't know that I could ever say enough good things about this Snap. Truthfully, it is one of my favorite places in the world. The staff and the members are friendly, supportive, and all around amazing. I always feel welcomed and know that at this Snap there will always be someone there to celebrate with me, to encourage me, and teach me new things as I work towards my goals. The place is just great value, staffed with encouraging and happy people who keep the gym clean and organized. There is a large room for spin, yoga, TRX, kettleballs, and other advanced training methods; the tanning bed has strong bulbs and is always clean.

Jess, the manager, is absolutely fantastic. Easy going yet hard-working, she always called me back promptly with any questions I was having, and even allowed me to try out a yoga class even though I had zero previous experience. Her friendliness and sincerity is a huge reason I am a Snap Fitness member at the Golden Valley location.

Overall, just a great 2013 summer of working out @ this Snap Fitness location

I never thought that I would be one to love going to the gym. However, after I joined Snap I found myself feeling excited to go back. The staff is wonderful, they know you by name, and they give you a pat on the back when you've reached your goals; no matter how big or small. I love the classes! I can't seem to fit enough into my week. Even in the group setting the trainers take the time to check in on your form, correct you, and keep you going on those last trying seconds.
So far, I'm met my goals, and I plan to push strong into 2013, and it never would have happened without my other family at Snap.

I have been to most of the Snaps on the West side of the Twin Cities. Even before the expansion this was by far the nicest location. Very clean, great layout, large enough after the expansion that it is almost never crowded, and the staff is great. All of those things seem to translate into people being motivated to keep going, and I have seen several people over the last couple years that have made dramatic positive physical changes. Great place! And yes, it does exist.
