This RecWell is very nice compared to the big RecWell on the East Bank. It's certainly less crowded and the pool seems to be more available.

Super cozy gym, really nice staff, and not busy most hours. It's a little small but has all the basics plus a few.

Love the place because I donβt have to worry about parking but I canβt find everything for weight training. But the pool is pretty big and nice and also have a great running trail.

Parking was a bit confusing. No explanation given for swim lesson families.

To be totally honest, we are cancelling our membership after 3 months. We have the alumni membership since we live nearby and it isnβt worth the money for the hassle you have to deal with. First thing is that there just isnβt enough equipment. 3 racks, small number of machines, and only 6-7 treadmills across the whole place.
Second, we just received a parking ticket for parking at the gym we pay for. As we left, U of M police issued tickets to at least 15 cars in the parking lot, claiming we need to buy a contract parking permit for the gym we already pay for. Iβm not sure you can get any greedier. Students pay for the membership, community members pay, and alumni pay. Thereβs no reason for people to need to buy a parking pass on top of the gym membership, AND the locker fee. For these reasons, we are cancelling our membership tonight.

This gym is associated with University of Minnesota. Very close to my workplace and not crowded most of the time. You will be able to get done most of your workouts.

Great for basketball games. There is a pretty steady pick up game with good competition 3 days/wk. Nice pool and good workout center. Everything you need without being crowded.

Good gym that isn't crowded. Small and not as updated as the East Bank gym, but has most of the equipment you'd need.

The St. Paul gym is smaller and if you work at the U it can be a great price (students it's free so it's even better). There is some bouldering along with rock climbing. I will say, when it is busy you just have to wait to get on the machines.
