Tangletown CrossFit is without a doubt the BEST gym in the Minneapolis area! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I can attest to the amazing attention to detail that is put in the programming here. The warm-ups and WODs are excellent! The coaching is fantastic, and the members are very warm and welcoming. Teresa (the owner) does a great job maintaining an excellent gym that will definitely make you stronger and more robust if you're willing to put in the time and regularly attend workouts! Definitely reach out to TangleTown Crossfit if you're in the Minneapolis area and looking for a great gym to join!!

I miss Tangletown soooo much! If you do CrossFit you know that it’s not just a workout, it’s the community. But not every box is the same and there is something extremely special about Tangletown. Teresa is incredible! She is my fave box owner I’ve ever met; she is personable, so nice, strong as hell and she can even swim too ;) The team that she has is amazing! Brian, Justine, Tim….they all love what they do and they push you to do your best while you’re there. When you’re new and nervous, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They make sure to do introductions at the beginning of most classes if there’s someone new there. My partner and I went consistently for a little over a year until we moved to the other side of town. I also went my entire pregnancy and they helped me modify when I needed, which helped me continue to go until I was 41 weeks pregnant. I am now at a place on this side getting a great workout, but missing the wonderful peeps of Tangletown.

Had a FANTASTIC drop in experience here. Very responsive communication over email, and the community was very welcoming. The place was clean, well organized, equipment was in good shape and the coach Tim, ran a great partner workout. As an added bonus, they had cool shirts with the logo and location on it. Can't wait to sport that bad boy at my home gym. I'm already looking forward to dropping in again on my next visit.

I was here in Minneapolis for work and did a drop in here at the gym. The owner, Teresa, was very professional and friendly at getting me set up to come in. They are taking all of the necessary precautions regarding COVID and I felt safe being at the gym. The people were all so welcoming and supportive. I even got an awesome t-shirt! Thanks so much Tangletown CrossFit! I will be back.

I would never have thought I'd be a CrossFit gal...then I came to TTCF. The coaches, the community, the workouts - they all are what keep me coming back. Every day is a new challenge and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to push myself in new ways! I've never felt stronger or more fit.

I was intimidated at first, but within one class felt so welcome and encouraged that it went out the window. I honestly don't believe you can find a more down to earth, welcoming and fun CF gym in the Twin Cities!

I've been a member for a few months now and I absolutely love it! Very kind and welcoming environment! The coaches are awesome and encouraging and give great feedback. The workouts will kick your butt (and thats a good thing 😁). Can't say enough good things about the place.

I went to Tangletown for about three months, starting with 1-on-1 on-ramp sessions and then attending WODs. To be clear, I have never done Crossfit. I was starting pretty close to zero, and it's a nerve-racking thing to try out for the first time.

First and foremost, yes, I got the best workout of my life every time I went. I learned new stuff that had either intimidated me before (olympic lifts) or just not been on my radar. Every coach I dealt with was great -- smart, patient, obviously willing to push you, but in a way that's tailored to where you are. And that really applies to everyone there, not just the leadership. Never, not once did I get attitude or condescension from anyone else in the class, even when I was slowing them down (and I did ... oh, I did). On the contrary, people went out of their way to build me up, show me new techniques, or just say good work at the end of the day.

The basics are also nailed down -- good equipment, no billing shenanigans -- but it's the people that make it unique. Ultimately, it is Crossfit, it's intense, it's not for everyone. But if you want to dip your toe in and see if it's for you, I can't think of a better place around here to do it.

Open, welcoming environment of coaches and athletes alike. I did not feel like an outsider when I dropped in since there were plenty of people willing to carry a conversation with me before, during, and after our workout. The workouts were challenging and easily modifiable, with the help of the coaches, to suit any fitness level.

I dropped in twice over the New Year's holiday, while in town visiting family. First, I like that you can pre-pay the drop-in fee and fill out the waiver form online. Makes it so people like me, who tend to run late, make it to the WODs on time without using up a coach's time to do pesky paperwork.

The space is great and nicely laid out. Plethora of equipment. Location was perfect - super easy to find and convenient near 35W and 62/Crosstown.

Their workouts are nicely structured. They fit a lot into an hour! Warm-up, mobility, strength, and a WOD. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I was able to jump right in like it was my home box. Would highly recommend TTCF to anyone looking for a great, structured box!

Dropped in twice from out of town. Teresa replied right away for the drop in requests and Jessica and Jill were both great coaches. Highly recommend!!

Does the word CrossFit scare you? A year and a half ago the words "CrossFit" scared me until I walked into Tangletown CrossFit. Tangletown CF is a community that makes CrossFit fun. Every day is different, the only think you need to do is show up and work hard!

I have been doing Crossfit for only 5 months and I also travel a lot for my job, so I try to find Crossfit gyms where ever I go and Crossfit Tangletown is where I will be going when I come to Minneapolis. I like how they review technical forms before the WOD and they watch everyone’s form during the WOD to ensure safety and prevent injury. The atmosphere feels like a friendly community and the gym is organized and astatically pleasing. I have visited lots of gyms and Tangletown is one of the best.
