At The GRIND, it’s all about the energy, the beats, the challenge—and most of all, the community! From the moment you step into our space, you’re surrounded by people who push harder, lift heavier, and ride stronger—together.
Our GRIND Cycling classes are 50-minute, rhythm-fueled rides that take cardio to the next level. Expect high-intensity intervals, killer beats, and nonstop energy to push your limits.
GRIND Strength classes focus on progressive overload, heavy weights, bands, and top-tier equipment.
GRIND Restore—a chance to reset, recharge, and rebuild. These classes emphasize flexibility, relaxation, and deep muscle recovery.
North Loop is expanding into a third studio space end of April.
GRIND Edina launches in June 2025!

I absolutely love this studio—the instructors, the energy, and the vibe are amazing! My only suggestion would be to consider adjusting the music volume or speaker placement. The sound system is quite loud, even with concert ear plugs, and it can be tough on the ears compared to other cycle studios. I’d love to keep coming and think a slight tweak could make the experience perfect for everyone.

I was excited to take Andi's Refine & Restore class at The Grind today. The class was fantastic! It was a really nice combination of strength and yoga movements with a little bit of cardio. Andi's instruction was clear and well thought out. I look forward to attending another class soon
The Grind is located in a great part of MLPS. The studio is well appointed with all the equipment needed to successfully and comfortably participate in a class. It is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Don’t let the three stars in the logo fool you. This is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star studio.
Grind not only serves up killer indoor cycle classes- but these incredible sweat sessions come with an amazing community. I am not from Minneapolis but have visited a few times and from the first moment I walked into the studio, I was met friendliest smiles. I arrived a little early , as I like to do, and I’m glad I did. I was given a tour of the studio which is really beautiful and clean. Oh- they have showers too if you need them. There was still a few minutes before class and I was welcomed to the chitter chatter of other riders and the desk staff.
After a true butt kicking by Ally-( see below for more on her classes), I walked out to so many people staying to talk. Little groups everywhere but I was called over the talk with my new friends from before class (and who I’ve caught up with on my other visits). Each time I’ve gone back- I have been welcomed back, like I am there every day.
So- Ally’s class -she’s a killer- but full of humor at the same time. I’m a regular rider at home, but holy moly Ally-WOW! I Loved it! There was a little chat about how the class would go down. The lights went out and BOOM- loud, pumping music and riding to the beat (which is my fave kind of class). I’m not sure she is good with time though, because I think we did tap backs FOREVER!!! 🤣
I can’t wait to get back there. Next time I will take a strength class with Nick. I hear that is brutal in the best way (but everyone came out of there smiling).
Go the a the Grind. You’ll come away sweaty, with new sweaty friends!!!

Why did Allie bring a broom to class? Because she's SWEEPING THE COMPETITION!!
And the sweat off the floor after class - I've been taking classes at The Grind for over a year and absolutely love it! Great instructors, great vibe, great time!

Grind is the absolute BEST workout studio! The vibe is very welcoming, friendly, and energetic. I most enjoy Eric Komo for an intense and intentional spin workout, and he always shares a positive word for the day. Also Mary's strength class is top notch. She designs it to be different and interesting every time. The owners Ally and Chris are kind and fun, and make every trip in feel like I'm visiting a good friend.

I’ve been going to The Grind for about a year and I’m so glad I found it. It’s hard to find a workout to stick to, but I really look forward to my classes here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the classes are fun and addictive. Be warned they’ll kick your a**. I’m certainly better than I was a year ago, but the classes are still far from easy. I took my husband to a class with me (who is a cyclist and rides 100+ miles) and he said how hard it was and he gained a lot of respect for me 🤣
The studio also has showers and nice perks like hair ties, makeup remover, tampons, and dry shampoo.

Amazing classes, amazing instructors, amazing vibes. I hadn't been in a group fitness environment for a long time, and was kind of nervous. Everyone was super welcoming and helpful! I can’t even put into words, but this place is something really special.

I’ve only been here a handful of times and I’m truly impressed. Before coming here, I didn’t understand why someone would want to pay more than $30 a month for a gym membership, but after going here, I get it. Everything about this place is so purposeful and thoughtful - from the cold towels at the end of class, hair ties available in the locker area, etc. They offer 3 types of classes: spin, strength, and restore (yoga?). I tried spin first and enjoyed it but when I went here it was next level! The instructors I’ve had have been challenging and fun. The front desk staff & owners are helpful and kind. It can be intimidating going to a new gym & when others look like Instagram models, but I feel like I am welcome here. I’m excited for the new studio to be constructed.

The class was emotionally moving, physically challenging, and the studio was beautiful. Not to mention the front desk team members were very welcoming. Former goer of The Firm and this was so close to that experience. Excited to come back. I’d love to see more racial and ethnic diversity in the instructors and clientele.

Amazing cycling classes with amazing instructors. The front desk always welcoming, super friendly, and helpful. Didn’t know what to expect when I started 2 months ago with no experience with indoor cycling, The Grind has provided a great environment for you to fall in love with cycling regardless of your fitness level. I started out with a 5 classes per month membership and upgraded it to 10 per month, because I just love going to class so much!!

Everyone is so friendly, kind and caring.
Over all experience:
The best welcoming experience. First timers be sure to come 10-15 mins early.
The studio has shoes if you don’t have your own. They give you towels (because you’ll be dripping sweat).
They have light weights for the part of the cycle class where you lift. At the end of class you get a cold damp eucalyptus towel to cool off with.
Staff:
The front desk staff is very helpful: they show you where everything in the space is when you first get there. It’s a smaller studio, so be sure to get there early if you need to use the locker room.
Coaches:
So far my favorite coaches are Eric (he is so friendly and welcoming plus plays lots of early 2000s like Britney Spears and Mariah and I’m for it) and I love Maddison (she is so funny, energetic and plays dance music and hip hop).
Culture:
A lot of people just take their coats off and hop right into class with out socializing, and leave. Then some people mingle and chat before and after class and connect with other people. Everyone is super friendly and it’s not a “clicky” studio, everyone is so cool.
Over all, I love that it feels like community, I love the energy of the cycle class. I feel like it’s the perfect cardio workout I needed in my weekly routine. This is a studio I plan on taking classes at a couple times a week for sure.

I have gone to The Firm for my cycle classes for over 20 years and I was very sad that they closed because they had the best cycle classes ever, even when I compare them to classes I took in New York City and Austin, Texas. I thought where am I going to go for classes.
I am incredibly happy to say that I found The Grind MPLS to take cycle classes. Not only are the classes phenomenal, so is the atmosphere! If you miss The Firm, check out The Grind MPLS. Similiar energy and community are being built within the walls of The Grind MPLS. CHECK IT OUT!
The owner, Allison, is lovely and so kind!
Thank you, Allison, for creating such a wonderful workout space!

The Grind is the best! The instructors are 10/10 every time and each of them have their own teaching styles so you have such a variety to choose from. Plus you get a spin membership along with a sculpt membership in one place. No other fitness studio is doing what Grind is, can't recommend enough.

The Grind has revitalized my life! I’ve been to many workout studios and classes, and the instructors here are the cream of the crop. Each time I try a new instructor, I want to add them to my weekly mix! I love the combination of spin and stretch but then even getting to add in the stretch, all in the same membership, is incredible. I can’t get enough and am so grateful this business has come to the North Loop!!

Recent transplant to the Twin Cities seeking stationary cycling classes. The Grind is as good as the best Soul Cycle studios back in New York City (but at fraction of the cost). This place rocks.

The Grind is the BEST Cycling and boutique fitness studio in Minneapolis. The owners are local and the instructors are experienced, motivating, kind and personable! They provide towels, locker spaces or cubbies to store your items; for Cycling they DO provide free clip-in shoes! Experienced riders will feel challenged and anyone TOTALLY new to a spin will be shown how to set their bike, and be provided modifications throughout class! Another thing I liked while getting back into it...the room is totally dark so you can kick your own butt in a fun group-setting, without feeling exposed / on display. After just a few short months open...I absolutely love this space and can't wait to see the community grow!

I absolutely love this place! I legitimately look forward to Fuego Fridays with Vanessa, and even when I've taken class with other instructors it's always on point. The music selections are always top notch, and the energy in class is infectious! If you are even remotely interested in trying a cycle class, I highly recommend this gym.

I believe The Grind is best cycling studio in Minneapolis. The instructors are high energy and fun. I really like the cold towels at the end of class. The strength room is a little crowded but love the variety of movements in the small space. There is metered parking around the facility. Showers, lockers, and towels provided on site.
