We went for the water park and the pool, and quite enjoyed ourselves with the little one. The water park is a very active and energetic place, but all the other guests were respectful enough that our self-conscious little one didn't ever feel scared or uneasy as she bobbed around with kids twice her age. The water slides are a nice addition, too. The life guards were attentive, but not overbearing. People had fun, but not at the cost of safety.
The lap pool was a lap pool. Half of it set up for free swim, half of it maintained as swimming lanes for those who wanted them. We didn't spend much time there, as the wee one got tired. I look forward to trying out the diving well next time we visit.

Very dirty gym. During hard training you have to breathe dust. Men's sauna is always cold. Every time you have to remind the staff to turn on the sauna before the clients arrive.

Disappointed in the whirlpool hot tub maintenance. The last couple times I came to use it because I have arthritis. It was so hot I could only sit in for 5-6 minutes. I mentioned to a worker. Then a man sat in way too long and passed out onto floor after getting out. Paramedics were called. I hope is is ok. The most recent time the chlorine was really strong. My eyes were affected for a couple hours after use. I had to take Tylenol for sleeping. Who is doing appropriate checks?

This is an awesome facility to train for a triathlon! It was only $10 to get in for the day! The locker room was clean, I appreciate that there are separate locker rooms for families and the swim team so you don't have to deal with high schoolers acting foolish or screaming children. The pool was very clean, and they use salt water so no chlorine smell. I did not expect that it was very happy to get in the pool. The pool was clean, something I found to be an issue at several area gyms. The kids Zero Entry looks great for people who want to bring little kids. Showers are communal instead of stalls. The lockers are kind of small for people who swim. Make sure you bring your own kickboards and towels or any other equipment you want to use. The lockers are a little small, would work well with a small backpack but if you bring a large bag it might not fit. Bring your own lock. I'll be back again to keep training, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Update the signage on the pool side of the locker rooms. Have a sign that sticks out into the hallway, I seen several women accidentally walk into the men's locker room and didn't realize it until they walked all the way in by the showers.

Took my niece, her husband and their 6 month old baby for open swim in the kiddie pool. They loved it and I was so enthralled by the place I bought a membership. Most things are open during regular operating hours, but the baby pool has a lifeguard so it's hours are more limited - especially during the school year, since most of the lifeguards are students. Oh, and the lap pool is used by the high school swim team for a few afternoon hours on weekdays during the school year.

Just hosted a birthday party there and was really disappointed with the organization and assistance of the staff. We got there 10 minutes early as requested and after waiting for a staff member to assist us, waiting on waivers to be signed, and wrist bands we didn't get into the room until 20 minutes after we had reserved it for. We were supposed to have a staff member assist with set up, but no one did. When we were cleaning up ON TIME even though we got the room 20 minutes late, a staff member stopped by and reminded us we had 6 minutes left to clean up and leave the room. No offer to assist us with clean up. There wasn't another party in the room for 45 MINUTES. When we talked with a manager, they deflected the responsibility onto someone who wasn't even there, but I was "welcome to call them on my own".
Was offered a few free passes, which expire in 3 months. Right when summer begins and we typically never swim indoors. We love the waterpark and community center, but will never host a party there again.

Great place for the kiddos on the weekends. Kid pool is clean and has a zero entrance. Safety break on Sunday mornings 1130am to 12pm, plan accordingly. Snacks allowed on pool deck. Tables and chairs available on pool deck. Water slides are fun but kiddos have to be tall enough to ride 100% solo, no co riding. Family changing available. Good option for winter days.

I'm confused as to why the kids pool area hours are 5-9pm?? Most people with a family eat dinner and get ready for bed within those times. Wish they'd open from 10am-6pm. That's more realistic for families with children.

Immediately after arriving I had a lifeguard and manager approach me and tell my son's floaty wasn't "coastguard approved" so we couldn't let him use it. I told them I'm going to be standing next to him the entire time, but nope. Kinda annoying...okay though. Then I pick my son up in the kiddie pool so he can play with a piece of equipment he couldn't reach and immediately get rudely whistled at by a teenager lifeguard to stop. "It's a toy he can't reached it" I said, but apparently unless the kid is over 5' he can't play with kiddie pool equipment because holding your child is apparently is unsafe these days. Then I had to remove my 2 tear old for a half hour after we'd just got there because they don't have enough teenager staff pacing around the pool whistling at adults to cover the brakes of their other staff.

βTry floatingβ. That is one of the instructions given by the teacher during my 15 month oldβs swimming lessons. No elaboration. No explanation. Just βtry floatingβ. Nice.
We were also told by the instructor that the swim lessons for that age group are usually held in the smaller warmer pool & it was just temporarily in the large pool. That was a lie.
The instructors also told us the large pool was turned down colder because of βthe Simley swim teamβ. That was also a lie, apparently.
We asked for a refund or even credit to use elsewhere at the Grove and were denied.
No problem. I will be there with my child for each of the lessons we paid for and I will gladly tell anyone who listens what we think of this place and the under-qualified people running it.
Itβs gonna be fun π

We won't be returning for swim lessons. If you are against forcibly dunking children under water, especially when they are screaming for the instructor not too, you might want to look elsewhere as well. We had to run down and stop the instructor from dunking our child after multiple requests to only submerge when ready.

No, it isn't a Lifetime Fitness or a YMCA, but it is a good local fitness center with all the amenities that a person needs. A good value for the price. But be aware of when a high school swim meet is scheduled, because the parking becomes tough (especially if there is also a hockey game).

Went there on Saturday with my grandson and all of us were all asked to leave the open swim pool after 20 minutes due to lifeguard shortages. However when I asked for a refund the manager Rita, practaly threw my money back at me. We understand that things like this happen just didn't feel I should have to pay for 20 minutes of swimming when my grandson doesn't use the dive well and is too big for the water park area. I love this place. Fun pool and slides for kids, Lap pool. We specifically go to the grove because they have a diving well. I would give five stars but they're changing rooms aren't the greatest. They Only had two bathrooms in the family dressing room. These rooms are unlocked at all times. Did you not have a spinner to dry your clothes in the family room You have to go into the woman's or men's. They do not have soap in the family room either. Last time I was there they didn't have soap in the woman's. Aside from these changing room disadvantages it's actually a very fun place to go to. I love that you can go from one pool to the other easily.

I so wanted to host my son's birthday party here. However, the horrible communication between Terry and Maddy made this a birthday planning nightmare. The facilities are great. However, the management is sub-par when it came to communication. I was informed that I could have private pool party and even had a permit to use the facilities and then one week before my son's birthday event, they canceled on me. After that I couldn't get a hold of anyone to re-schedule. I already had a cake reserved for that date and now I'm scrambling last minute to figure out what to do.
Beware! Proceed the waters with caution because you might get a last minute cancellation. At the same time, I also wonder how much of it was due to me not being of a certain "background". It just didn't make sense for them to all of a sudden cancel on me and then not respond to any of my emails to reschedule.

This is a great community center with a nice pool and ample skating opportunities, plus a nice campus with outdoor recreation options. Front desk staff has always been friendly and great at welcoming/helping out with questions. Where things falter is in program registration; the systems here are cumbersome and archaic and don't run as efficiently as they could.
