I love the facilities here. The trainers are skilled and professional. It’s a bit quieter than Williston (which is a plus for me, too). They’ve got multiple pools, a walking track, training studios, excellent equipment and weights.

Had to walk in this establishment, because I was looking for the spa that is connected to it. I'm fortunate to be able to pay for a massage in the middle of the week during working hours. I'm stating that because I'm dressed down and a person of color. I most likely don't fit in with the Minnetonka residence. Anyways, I go up to the front desk person and they're glaring at me as if I'm bringing in a stench or that my presence alone is disgusting them.

Truly, not a nice interaction before receiving a massage.

I love this place! The staff are all really friendly and hardworking! If I was to change anything is I would change the hours of operation to match that of the Williston Center. Closing time would be 10 on Weekdays, 9pm on Saturday, 8pm on Sunday.

If you have not been you should pay $12 and go for a half a day and check it out!

If you see me there say HI.

What a fantastic experience. The gym is totally adequate, with lots space, and lots of good equipment. The view out to the marsh land, is tranquil. The locker rooms are nice, with large lockers. With a steam room and sauna in the locker room, that adds great relaxation opportunities. I Can’t wait to come back.

Nice place to go exercise and relax at the same time. I’m getting older and the quieter and more relaxed environment is better for me. The building has it all. Filled with different classes, massage sessions and a cafeteria. It was perfect to me! But then I’ve noticed a patron who was using the pool almost at the same time that I was. The pool is not huge so it’s divided into three lanes and the one in the middle is supposed to be shared. So you have to be mindful with your time and at least be respectful to others that also want to use the pool. Oh no! But this man took more than two hours using the pool while the other lanes were used by other patrons as well and there were patrons waiting to used the pool as well. So then the patrons that came after this man was there for hours had to leave the pool earlier so the ones that were waiting to use the pool could getting in the pool. And he just kept using the pool without any regard for other people.
One lady inside the locker room asked me after I was done swimming “ is that guy still there? He’s been there for hours!”
Other times people got tired of waiting and got in the lanes that were not for sharing just because they are not wide enough to do so and one time this guy got inside my lane and when I ended my lap and turn around my face almost hit his private parts! I wasn’t aware of him being in my lane right behind me. It bothered me a lot!
He didn’t made me aware of his presence!
Even more because I’ve had just been there for not even 5 minutes.

Overall it was a difficult to use the pool with all these classes and patrons like him who has no consideration for the rest of the patrons.
The staff is very nice! But after that experience I have never comeback!

My wife and I are new to the area and were in search of a sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi combo. While the facility is lovely and the ladies working the desk were all very kind and helpful, the patrons were hit or miss. We visited three times, and all three times something odd happened. The first night we visited shortly after our move seeking some healing water time and one patron made sure to very theatrically sigh, frown and shake her head disapprovingly at us each time she passed us in the ladies’ changing area, which was an odd choice and very pointed. Water off a duck’s back. Some people just want to be upset.

The next time we went a young woman’s bag was misplaced, potentially taken, and we were apparently suspected (I know my own bag was deeply uninteresting in its contents, and can’t imagine being interested in taking someone else’s gym bag).

The third and final time we came it was clear to us that security was tighter because of being suspected outsiders as this was the first time anyone had asked for our names, identification and specifics on where we would be while visiting the facility. While there, a woman and her two college age daughters passive aggressively spoke loudly about not being able to use the jacuzzi together, until we shifted to the steam room. We switched between jacuzzi, steam, sauna and cold showering regularly and made sure to share the space with consideration for others. It was very clear that many of the women there were put off by our presence, though we are genuinely joyful, calm and kind people.

We are glad not all interactions were sour, hence the three, but enough were that we will not be coming back. It was Mean Girls meets Minnesota nice energy that definitely caused an immense culture shock. Some local friends clued us in on the demographic that lives in the area and it made things clearer for us, unfortunately. Life is too short to spend so much energy living in fear and judgment—yet plenty of folks continue to choose it.

Thank you to all the kind women who work the front desk—you made us feel welcome each time we visited and we appreciate all the time you spent sharing the membership details etc. with us!

It is a cozy environment with various types of equipment and facilities. 15 minutes aerobics is good enough for next hour weight exercises. Swimming in an indoor 25m long pool helps to enhance body coordination. After that, I enjoy relaxation with massaging bubbles in a hot spa beside.
I do love chatting and having a healthy meal at the cafe in The Marsh.

I'm very glad the city bought The Marsh. They're doing updates little by little and mostly I like what they're doing. But I'd be much happier if they would keep the charm of the place and not turn it into another Williston or Sister Kenny Courage. Please, please let their be at least one facility that isn't loud and hectic. There are a lot of Minnetonka residents that still highly value a slower pace and grown up adult company. Namaste.

Incredibly serene. I love this place a lot and hope it stays lowkey. It's comforting and almost feels homey, especially in the mental gym area upstairs. Also - whoever maintains the plants about the place does a wonderful job. I love this place so much. I hope it stays the way it is forever. I know that's not realistic, but there are just not that many things like it. The place isn't overstimulating and it's so refreshing. It's a completely manageable price for my entire family and it's so close to me and it's wonderful.

If you are over the age of 50, the Marsh is the perfect gym for you. They also have massage treatment there too. There is always equipment open to use. Has everything a large gym has for the most part just in a smaller scale. They have a fraud g room and lockers and showers. Bring your own towel. They have a sauna and steam room and a regular and therapy pool. It is never too busy as good value for the cost. Also there are really not kids here so it’s a plus if you are looking g for a low key misty adult gym. I don’t feel
Judged here either. Just a nice place all around even the inside and decor is dated.

Seems like a really nice fitness club. Reasonable price not cheap, 60 a month, indoor nice walking track, looks like great outdoor walkinking/running paths through the marshy lands. Plus a nice weight room and a 25 meter lap pool, and a second pool for other activities including water aerobics. There are atleast two large rooms for classes like yoga, tia chi and the have bikes for spin classes. I didn't take a class yet so i can't speak to any of that. Lastly the locker room looks amazing nice showers separate dressing areas and just interesting little divisions to seemingly break it up so it doesn't feel industrial.

Over all I like the place.

Love this place. It’s quiet and peaceful and a place we can heal. Thank you city of Minnetonka for not changing the marsh and leaving it what it’s always been! We need this place for our health and quality of life here in Minnetonka. We have been to Williston a few times and it’s not for us. Too many kids for what we are looking for in an environment to work out in. We love the marsh!

Overall, this place has everything you need in a gym. But it needs a little facelift. It felt old and dungeon like, especially the weight room area on the lower level. There is no longer childcare and the only family swim time is 2 hours on a Friday. Not a great fit for families, unfortunately. Seems to be geared more towards seniors.

I went to The Marsh for physical therapy because of a recommendation of a good friend. He mentioned I should see Christopher. I haven't been to physical therapy for a few decades and wasn't keen on going. Christopher was perfect for me. He listened, yes, actually listened, and genuinely cared about my well-being. I went for about two months and feel great. I would strongly recommend Christopher. Although I hope to never have to see him again for my back issues, I would not hesitate if the need arises.

The pop-up classes are great, like cardio bounce. Who knew that trampoline from the 80's could make your abs still burn. You don't need a Suzanne Sommers outfit or even shoes for FloMotion and Mat Pilates or Gyrokinesis is way harder than the description leads on. I grabbed a friend channeled my inner aerobicizer and have signed up for classes galore

Definitely check it out. Love the variety of both in person and virtual classes spanning across all levels and mobility (or lack thereof). Exercise equipment, classes and trainers provide wonderful options for anyone from fitness experts in great shape or recovering from injury to beginners looking to get moving, to arthritic care and so much more. They even a therapeutic pool set to warm temp available for open swim and classes like water Thai chi. Highly recommend this gym. As a member we now have access to YMCA locations, too, so i attend many classes (virtual and in person) from them as well!

This is a quiet, hidden facility that functions almost more like a high-end community center or an artist escape. My parents were members here for over 30 years, we have so many good memories. They have everything from a spa, retail, child care, café, swimming pools and beautiful workout facilities. The café has fresh food and is open to the public - I’d absolutely recommend stopping by for a salad!

The atmosphere at The Marsh Spa is superb. I can't argue with that. Hence the two stars. Aside from that - I went in for a self tanning application and that was all just horrible.

The scheduled appointment was for 50 minutes. I was there for 90. So, block off extra time. Unfortunately the additional time didn't equate to a better tan application either. This is the worst tan application I have ever received. I would've been better going to a standard tanning salon to get a spray tan!! Or saved my $80 and done it at home with some Neutrogena tanner. I look terrible.

I figured for $80 I wouldn't end up looking like a bronze zebra so I booked this appointment just before my vacation too. Looks like I won't be spending much time poolside until it fades and I look normal again!
