My adult special needs son has been working out with Chris for over 2 years and we couldn’t be happier! Fitness is so important, but very difficult for people with disabilities to attain. My son looks forward to each session with Chris, who has been very accommodating...changing however has been necessary due to the pandemic. Chris’s emotional connection with my son has been invaluable, especially during the COVID crisis! I am so THANKFUL my son is HAPPY and HEALTHY!!!!

I have two boys that have and do work with Chris and Bri at this gym. Both my boys are on the autism spectrum Tanner the one shown in the picture is high functioning and my other son is extremely low functioning. Chris and Bri are amazing and both have a special talent in working with all levels of function and disability. I love that they are very Professional and respectful of their clients. I would highly recommend their gym to anyone!

Outstanding coaching on a personal level, very different from a personal trainer, who, in my opinion, will stick with a pre-determined program. Chris and Bri, instead, look at what I can do and then tailor both the exercise and their expectations to what is possible for me. I have two bad knees, am in my 80s, and have a (mostly) sedentary job, so finding someone who is willing to work with me is a gift. Chris and Bri also do home visits, and have been working with a couple of clients of mine, one of whom has dementia, and he has made a solid and contributory relationship with them.

I would highly recommend Twin Cities F.I.T. to others. I have watched for more than 11 years the work Chris has done with my nephew and the work Bri has done with him over the past 5 years. I have also observed the progress they have made with my nephew. My nephew has many physical manifestations resulting from a life threatening TBI received as a baby. Both Chris and Bri tailor their sessions to meet my nephew's needs, and they push him beyond his comfort zone with positive reinforcement and praise. My nephew's progress has been amazing. He is becoming stronger and more confident. He is has become increasingly more stable on his feet.
Chris and Bri have gone above and beyond to provide others working with my nephew tools and suggestions to help my nephew in other areas of life and maximize the efforts made by others to assist my nephew. They have a very professional and collaborative approach and work to connect with their clients.
I would highly recommend Twin Cities F.I.T.

My son has worked out with Chris 11 years and Bri for the past 5 years. They have done amazing work with my son by adapting workouts to the way he learns and that he will be the most successful. They always encourage him to keep going when things get tough. They know how to get him to work through his frustrations and deal with him with the upmost patience when he has behaviors. My son throughly enjoys going to Twin Cities Fit and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The progress that my son has continually made over the years is amazing.

I began bringing my son to work with Chris and Bri almost a year ago. I was first made aware of them by a friend who has a son with Down's Syndrome that gets services with Twin Cities F.I.T. She told me that Chris, as he was leaving his session with her son one day, came across me and my son who was having a particularly horrible aggressive meltdown at the time. Apparently, he turned to my friend and asked if she knew me and my son. When she said that she did, he asked her if she would ask me if I would be interested in speaking with him to see if he might be able to assist us in the difficulties we were experiencing with our son. When she told me this, it immediately warmed my heart to hear that a stranger, after seeing my son at his absolute worst attacking me, his mother, had that response of "how can I help?". I had no idea whether his services would be able to help, but I certainly wanted to speak with him. I was VERY impressed with his explanation of what they do and how they personalize their sessions down to the finite details to meet each individual's needs and goals. I agreed to have my son meet him and his working partner, Bri, for kind of an introductory session at one of my son's favorite playgrounds. While Bri spoke with me asking questions about my son to get the best picture of what his challenges are, what methods I use that work in calming him, what activities he enjoys, etc, Chris quietly followed my son around the playground to observe and occasionally try to engage him subtly. I was surprised at how quickly my son warmed to Chris in that introductory session, and felt immediately that this would be a great program for him.
Fast-forward almost a year later and I can say that it has been a WONDERFUL experience for my son working with Chris and Bri every week. He looks forward to it every week and certainly misses it if we ever have to cancel. His aggression has reduced greatly and he hasn't eloped in nearly 9 months. While we have certainly used a number of medical and nutritional interventions to address my son's needs, I feel very strongly that Twin Cities F.I.T. has been quite instrumental in the improvements my son has made over the past year and would HIGHLY recommend them.
Edit: In case it's relevant to anyone reading this, my son is 11yo with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a provisional diagnosis of PANDAS.

I am responding to the previous negative review by "SK." I know Chris, the trainer, personally and this review seems very strange to me. Chris is an ethical and committed trainer. He knows his business, but he is also a compassionate and dedicated person. It sounds like "SK" either did not observe each session in person or he/she does not understand what TwinCitiesF.I.T. does.
"SK's" review contains several inaccurate statements. For example, I know that Chris is not married. If a woman accompanied him to a training session, it was likely Bri Huston, the other TwinCitiesF.I.T. trainer. Since I also train with Chris, I know that he uses his cell phone for business, not "playing games," as this person suggests. (And what a petty comment.)
I have to admit, I am really angered by the tone of "SK's" review. I know Chris and Bri personally. They are well-trained, dedicated professionals. They are devoted to the children they train and they would not engage in the behavior this person is suggesting. "SK's" 'review' strikes me as an uninformed, mean-spirited attack. I would suggest to "SK" that instead of making judgements about Chris's supposed behavior or broadcasting inaccurate complaints on a website, "SK" should have had the grace to contact Chris directly and express his/her concerns.
