This place has a lot of potential and I really hope that they are successful. I live in north and have several neighbors who are members and love it- I have been a few times and would also like to join, but unfortunately the hours are not conducive to a working parent. I need them to be open either earlier than 6 or later than 8 and they have neither. Maybe once they get more established they can expand hours and I could join.

I like the equipment and the staff, my only complaint are the hours. I wish the workout area stayed open until 9 or 10pm. I don’t get home from work until 8pm some nights.

Very predatory subscription policies. I know several people who are continuously trying to pause or cancel their memberships and keep getting charged. There’s always some excuse on why they have to charge you because of their policies. (policies that management seems to care more about enforcing than understanding)

They’ll find any way to squeeze money out of you if you sign up, even if you stop using their facilities.

Very gross to see this from a place that claims to be here to help the community.

Staff is mostly friendly. Unfortunately they didn’t process my request to end my membership and I was erroneously billed 2 months. If you need to change your membership always take a picture of the paper form they make you sign because they will lose it or have you fill it out wrong to charge you on purpose. The manager was not helpful at all and didn’t try to fix the error they made. I would never have a membership here unless they have electronic proof of memberships.

I've looked for a class in Tai Chi near North Minneapolis for a long time. I'm happy to have found a class at V3 with Chance. I'll be back as my work schedule allows. Thank you, Chance and V3!

This facility is poorly managed. The staff is rude and lacks training on services offered and customer service. The manager never calls back and no management onsite on the weekends. Class instructors are treated poorly. The majority of them left. The pricing structure is unaffordable once you include all the add ons. The app magically stop functioning properly and they can't figure out how to fix it in months. This started out as a aspirational community space and has quickly deteriorated. A lot of donations went into this project, it is a shame to see it go to waste. Changes need to be made with how the place is managed in order to increase membership to support building the next phase. Staff can't answer basic membership fee questions, horrible fee structure, poorly trained staff with no manager onsite. This is why community projects fail. The board needs to address these issues immediately. Do better!

This gym is incredibly welcoming, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home.

I had a fantastic experience using their state-of-the-art heated pool—it’s truly top-notch. I also brought my son to the daycare, and I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained it was. The staff there were exceptionally caring and considerate, and my son had an amazing time.

What stands out the most is the gym’s commitment to cultural inclusivity and its thoughtful approach to serving the neighborhood’s diverse community.

I highly recommend this modern, well-run facility. It’s a gem that’s worth checking out!

Note the deceptive pricing on the website. The membership tab on the website listed the price very low ($60 for a single adult, $69 for two adults) but after I went in they told me they had no idea where that number came from and tried to sell me on a much higher price (around $125 for an adult and $149 for an adult couple). At first they said the price difference was due to not being in a North Minneapolis zip code, but the prices were still significantly higher than the price listed on the website. I didn't feel like it was worth the trip here to tour when the actual price is twice what is suggested on the website. The facility is very modern and very beautiful, but it is priced as such as well.

Pros: Great location, the front desk staff is good at trying to know member's names, pool, all female staff and female only pool times on Weds, Swim classes for all ages, and Not too busy right now. Definitely will be soon.
Cons: No spin classes, no personal trainers, group fitness classes aren't really advertised to hype your motivation and support instructors (besides water aerobics), and the biggest issue some rookie members don't know how to work the machines so all you'll hear is banging. I educated a few on controlled movements. I wish the staff that sits up there monitoring would assist in that area, otherwise the machines will break in months. Overall a great place and hopefully Spin classes and personal trainers will soon be added.

Disappointed with My Experience

I was really excited to check out the new gym in town, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations. When I arrived, I was ready to sign up and learn more about the services the gym offers. Unfortunately, the staff was very uninformed, which left me frustrated.

I specifically asked about childcare, as I have three kids. The staff member told me it would be $30 for childcare, which was fine, but I wanted clarification since I only needed it for one hour while I worked out. He seemed confused and couldn't explain it clearly. Another staff member then stepped in and, instead of helping, basically insinuated that I didn’t know I had to stay in the building while my kids were in childcare—which was unnecessary and a bit insulting.

To make matters worse, I had to read the flyer myself to get the information I needed because the staff wasn’t able to explain anything in detail. It’s frustrating when you go somewhere expecting help and end up doing more work than the employees to figure things out.

Overall, the customer service needs serious improvement. I left feeling more confused than when I walked in, and that’s not what you want from a place you’re considering joining.

As former member of the North/Henry high school swim team AND lifeguard at North Commons waterpark, I am so thrilled that this kind of facility has arrived on the Northside. I am grateful for the immense advocacy and tireless work of community leaders to make this place a reality. It's a gorgeous space with welcoming staff. I participated in the morning swim, the sunlight and the lanes were lovely. The showering and locker room were spotless. All of the prices were beyond reasonable. I encourage people to support this incredible resource and bring a culture of swimming excellence to North Minneapolis.

I came in trying to register for the women's swim class. And the staff Sabrina's tone and personality was very rude when giving instructions.

There needs to be some customer services training. And everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness.

Truly, a nonprofit after the hearts of the north siders. Very friendly and warming staff. This place doesn't get enough attention that it deserves. This place is a land of many homes and partners from Boys and Girls Club, Agape Oasis childcare, Ascension and other swimming programs, and Soul bowl coming soon! This place has a bright future!
