Came in for a pole class with my bachelorette group, and we had the time of our lives! Red was a phenomenal instructor who made us all feel comfortable, and empowered. We learned a little routine which we got to put together at the end with music and fun lighting. We truly enjoyed every minute. I will be coming back to Villainy for sure!

Bachelorette party came in for a burlesque class and it exceeded our expectations. We got to ask for personal song request, learned about the history of burlesque, different moves with props (gloves, boa, robe, and tassels) the instructor, Jac was so great to work with. They made us feel very comfortable and welcome and encouraged you to embrace yourself and the experience without judgement. I wish we could’ve stayed longer and do this again and again. It was so fun. We even got to do a photo shoot after.

I’ve been taking pole classes at Villainy since the beginning of this year and I’ve learned so much already! I feel stronger and more confident with every class, and I look forward to going to the studio every week. The instructors are all extremely positive, upbeat, and helpful. The classes are structured so you can progress when you are confident, or repeat a series if you feel you need extra time on any level so to allow for everyone to move at a safe, but still challenging pace. You can’t go wrong with Villainy, I’m so happy to have found this studio!

I love Villainy! I've gone through both levels of chair and am taking some trapeze classes now. It is such a fun thing to do with my body--working it and playing with it at the same time. The instructors know their craft and share it with humor and warmth and care. The person is always more important than the move. They're body positive and gender inclusive. It's the best way to get a fun and strenuous workout.

Villainy is simply the best place to fall in love with movement and your body. Every instructor is incredibly talented and supportive, in addition, you can tell they put a significant amount of care into ensuring classes are a safe, fun, and comfortable environment to push yourself both physically and mentally. I've been taking chair dance classes here since March 2023 and have quickly fallen in love! The instructors are all really great at working with a variety of skill levels, and are skilled at making suggestions to help you reach your goals. Class sizes are on the smaller side, so everyone gets the individual attention they need, without being put on the spot. The variety of people here helps too- the chance to chat with professionals and amateurs alike makes it easy to see a mix of styles and goals. I never would have thought I would like chair dance without seeing other people like me having a blast! I recommend trying out the drop in punch chard and seeing what classes suit you.

When I first came here I was so shy and self conscious the pole instructor noticed and said "hey you're doing fine just keep going" the support and love you get here is real and makes it even better class to keep coming. It's taken me a long time to write a review because it's been near impossible to find the words to express how much of a positive impact this studio has had on me.

I started working with Jac and Red before they moved into this space. As a theater kid whose major struggle has always been dance, I was nervous to start and incredibly self critical. These two have never been anything other than encouraging, patient, and enthusiastic. They celebrate my progress and we have such a fun time along the way. Their immense knowledge and ability to pass that along to their students is invaluable. I'm proud to say that, with their guidance, I have gotten to the point that I can choreograph and perform my own routines without feeling like a newborn gazelle finding their legs.

More recently, I have had the privilege of getting to know the other instructors. I work with Tif on developing nerdlesque routines. After every class, my face hurts from all of the laughter she brings out of me. Plus, her ability to teach comedic timing and her critical eye for detail are undervalued skills. I've gotten to observe classes taught by Hassan and Brittany who are both insanely talented. Hassan's excitement when his students succeed is infectious and his sense of humor keeps everyone cracking up. Brittany's calm demeanor helps her students stay at ease while tackling challenging moves and her quirky personality lights up the studio. And, while I haven't seen her in action yet, the newest instructor Thea exudes positive energy and has so much skill that you can tell she is eager to pass along to her class.

I'm beyond excited to see the studio continuing to grow and hear the constant chatter of students new and old as they reach their personal goals. This place encourages everyone to be their best selves and helps us all embrace the power within.

I love Villainy HQ because not only am I able to take all of their amazing classes, but I can also rent the studio during non peak hours and train for shows or competitions on my own without annoying anyone with repetition of the same song. 😅

Communication between the owners is always outstanding! And I love that the community is outstanding with respecting mask requests in order to keep everyone safe 🫶🏽

I celebrated my 22nd birthday here and honestly loved every bit of it. My friends and I are always the type to go eat and shopping afterwards for our birthdays. So best believe I wanted to do something different. Luckily, the studio was able to honor my requests and as a result we had both chair and pole dancing combined into one. Red Rider was our instructor and she was kind and helped us feel comfortable and most importantly sexy since we were beginners. I’d definitely take dance classes in the future. So ladies, gents, and theys…do not hesitate booking your next party or even taking some lessons at Villainy Dance Studio.

Had my bachelorette party here and had a fantastic time! None of us had any experience in this type of dancing but Jak was great with getting us out of our comfort zone. We did chair/lap dancing and Jak was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate in her work. I think we all left feeling a lot more confident :) I would love to come back for a workshop and really refine my skills! I’d love to see some Thursday or Friday classes offered in the future which won’t conflict with my graduate classes. Couldn’t recommend this place (or Jak) enough-for parties or for a workout!

Highly recommend! Would give 10 stars if I could. Villainy is welcoming of all body types and levels of previous experience (including zero!). Taking classes from Villainy has helped me find a way to express my creative side during the pandemic. Villainy takes their precautions during the pandemic very seriously and I’ve always felt safe. Plus, classes at Villainy are incredibly fun!
