Yoga on Central has become my new oasis. My new sanctuary. I step into the studio and feel a wonderful and healing energy. When I leave, I feel like a completely different person. The instructors are the best I've ever experienced. Brookelynn, the owner, is fantastic! The first class I attended she was partaking in (I had no idea she was the owner at that time). Then, I came back and she was leading a Hyp yoga class. Her energy and the other instructor's energy is what really makes this place. Not to mention, the beautiful studio in the historic Thorp building. Hardwood floors, a nice open space, huge windows overlooking NE Minneapolis - perfection. Everything about this place is a dream. I am so happy I found Yoga on Central.

Yoga on Central is a beautiful yoga studio with a great array of wonderful, talented, loving teachers! I've been going there for two years and it's absolutely a big part of my life and a treasure for our community. I love how Brookelynn has expanded the variety of classes held there and has continued to grow the studio.

Keep up the good work!

The studio itself is first rate and so are the instructors, both kundalini and vinyasa. I highly recommend mixing both styles. You will love it. So good for the body, mind and spirit. You feel pampered after a class because it is such an all encompassing experience. No matter what is going on in your life when you enter the studio you are in a peaceful and wonderful place.

I've really enjoyed the Zumba classes at Yoga on Central. It is a welcoming environment for the beginner to the expert with instructors who are fun and encouraging. Highly recommended!

This is such a welcoming place. As a beginner, walking into a yoga studio can be intimidating. Brooklynn makes everyone feel like we're in her home. I highly recommend going to one of her classes. Her voice is perfect for leading a yoga class, and you can tell she's paying attention to our poses because she corrects us. Gently but with purpose so we know what the pose should feel like.

Yoga on Central is a lovely very healing space ! The instructors are high level, and very knowledgeable. I loved Yoga on Central- and hope to become a member. The only set back is the hours and my schedule. It would be helpful to have earlier hour classes- or more morning classes. Otherwise 5 stars for sure!

If you would like a panoramic view of the sky while practicing in a peaceful, non-competitive environment, you've found your studio! Kundalini Yoga classes are not so easy to find, but they are plentiful at this oasis. The NON-Kundalini classes are excellent as well. All around great studio with ample free parking.

This is my favorite studio in town. It's hard to find good kundalini classes with a more spiritual than exercise focus. Yoga on Central does an amazing job of setting the mood, instructing well, giving personal attention, and having reasonable prices. I don't feel like I'm not dressed 'right' there. It's just a great energy, gorgeous space (big enough for large classes and you can watch the sun set over the city!), and the sound system doesn't go wonky like at other studios. It can be hard to find the first time because it's inside a large building, but there are a lot of signs. I have not been to non-yoga classes there but they also have Zumba. You won't regret checking them out. :)

Beautiful studio with a warm, caring and zero judgement atmosphere.
I've taken a yoga nidra and kundalini class here and both classes were led by more than competent instructors.

A friend of mine and I got a great deal on living social for a three months of unlimited zumba and yoga at Yoga on Central. The location is convenient, and the studio is incredibly peaceful. We really enjoyed the zumba sessions when we had the regular teacher, but struggled a bit with a few of the substitutes. I have dabbled a bit in "standard" yoga, and appreciated the open and nonjudgmental instruction of the Kundalini yoga class, despite the fact that the nature of that kind of yoga can aggravate a few of my existing injuries (you hold one pose for a VERY long time, something that my wonky knee couldn't handle). They have a huge selection of times available for classes, and the people are very friendly.

Yoga on Central is a great asset to the community - not only is it an extremely nice facility with classes that fit a wide range of skill levels, but they also do a lot to support local charitable organizations. I highly recommend checking out their class schedule and giving them a try, even if you've never taken a yoga class in your life. You might just get hooked!

Yoga on Central has amazing instructors and a wonderful space in which to take classes. I am so happy to have discovered Kundalini Yoga there! I’ve tried taking yoga at other studios but never felt the desire to continue. I now know they just weren’t the right places for me. Even though other yoga classes are closer to home, I’d rather drive to Yoga on Central.

I was very skeptical about this place, but a Groupon made it too hard to pass by. Wow, was I in for a surprise. The place is spacious and never too crowded. But the instructors - especially Brooklynn, who I believe is the owner, are great. Tell her your pains and she'll work that area, and her soothing voice almost puts you in a trance so you can relax in the pose. She teaches the Hyp yoga - short for hypnosis. Try it, it works. My posture improves after each class.
