Love that this yoga class is convenient to Shoreview and North Oaks. Great group of people. I might have to try the yoga retreat to Japan!

I cannot overstate the quality of Shaila’s classes. I’ve been a student for over 15 years and she is by far the best.
I also recommend the retreats she offers through Bold Adventure
Check it out!!

YogaHotDish at North Oaks is great. It's not your typical yoga. Shaila infuses humor and lots of yoga knowledge; very useful.
So it's yoga with meditation, fun and learning. Oh yea, and a good yoga workout.

After years of my mom begging me to join her for yoga, I decided to go after realizing I needed a mental reset. I’ve been going for 3 years now, and not only did my mental health improve, but I got stronger without even realizing it (I can lift those 40lb salt bags for the water softener by myself!). Shaila is a wonderful teacher who makes yoga fun and inviting for all skill levels. I like that it isn’t just a quick and fast workout, but I still feel like I get a lot out of it.

I've been attending Shaila's yoga classes in Falcon Heights for many years. Shaila is a very knowledgeable teacher, her classes are varied yet follow a theme that she has planned. I've enjoyed her classes very much and miss it when I have to skip a week.

Shaila Cunningham is the best yoga instructor I have ever had. I have had the good fortune of yoga practice, over many years, with many fine instructors around the world including masters in India . Shaila is dedicated and extremely knowledgeable. Every time we meet she varies the practice. She is creative, inspiring and offers very personal support. She is intelligent and understands what she is teaching physiologically, psychologically and spiritually. Shaila is also very witty. Our 90 minute sessions fly by and I feel so good for my time in her classes. I highly recommend Hot Dish Yoga!

Shaila is an instructor with heart. She is practical, wise, compassionate, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable about yoga and how to teach it. She is very active and hands on throughout every session, moving around the whole 90 minutes helping every person correct and/or adapt poses.

She makes her classes widely available across a large geographic range while leaving a small footprint by tucking into available unused community spaces whether it be a community center, childcare center, golf club, art center, or church.

She understands that injuries, aging, surgeries and other bodily trials happen over the long haul of yoga practice, so she is an instructor who will push you plenty, but who also embraces the concept and frequently states it, “Do the best you can with the body you showed up in today. Work at your own pace.”

When you study yoga with Shaila, the physical location doesn’t matter! We’ve practiced outside in parks, in a preschool, on tennis courts, in city hall buildings- and it doesn’t matter because the instructor is what matters! Shaila tailors her instruction to your body and your yoga journey. Smaller classes with personal instruction equals growth in your mind and body. No studio fussiness, just 90 minutes of pure yoga with 10 or more minutes of yoga nidra to find your peace of mind.

Hands down the best yoga classes I have ever taken. Shaila tailors her instruction to meet each individual exactly where they are in their yoga experience. Great positive energy, excellent education, and a supportive group of people. Everyone who attends is made to feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Sheila is an incredible instructor. When she says "It's just yoga," she means it. No fuss, no muss, no mirrors, no music -- just 90 minutes of pure yoga. She's amazingly good at what she does and works to make sure that her students perfect their poses to maximize the benefits of yoga and she does it all with a kindness and gentleness that makes the 90 minutes just fly by.
