First yoga experience ever. Changed my physical state after running a 5k. Couldn’t walk down stairs because of quad soreness. So much better now. Calm. Welcoming. No judgement just support. Much love and I’m an old crusty white guy.

I had a fantastic first class experience at YogaSix! The environment was modern, warm, and welcoming. In the slow flow class, I found the sequence to be intuitive. I loved having the calm music and the surprise essential oils towel fan during shavasana at the end of class. Highly recommend you check them out 😊

I've been taking yoga classes at this studio for over 3 years and absolutely love it. The teachers are amazing. Though they each have their own style of teaching, they all encourage modifications and listening to your body. The desk staff are all welcoming and approachable. I've also found a great community amongst other students. Folks are friendly and represent a wide variety of body types. If you're looking for a yoga studio, I highly recommend checking out YogaSix Nokomis.

Today was my very first time doing yoga in a studio setting. I was pleased with the studio the moment I walked in. The receptionist was very pleasant and the studio clean and inviting. Although I was accompanied by a friend who was familiar, the instructor was immediately engaged and welcoming. After a wonderful workout, I was presented a calendar with future yoga class options and the pricing. I am please to say, I signed up! I look forward to more work outs and the health benefits.

Anh is a wonderful, delightful instructor. She took the time to walk us through everything regarding the class and what to expect. I love that she offered modifications to the movements throughout the course that allowed me to get a thorough workout with little pain and straining. I will definitely be back soon and highly recommend anyone interested!

I dabbled in yoga over the years, but didn't fully love it until going to yogasix. The instructors are super friendly and extremely supportive. No judgement whatsoever! unlike yoga classes I've experienced in the past at franchised fitness centers that left me feeling defeated and humiliated.
Absolutely NOT the case at Yogasix. I feel supported when going through the movements and modifying when my body isn't cooperating with me. Yogasix focuses on breath, acceptance and meeting you where you're at. I've truly learned yoga is a practice. Your going to have good days and okay days. Every class I have attended, whether it be hot, or slow flow has left me feeling rejuvenated and at peace. Yogasix has been a wonderful addition to my wellness. I highly recommend! Especially those that haven't had the best experience with yoga in the past. Yogasix is an up level in what yoga is all about! Plus the cool lavender scented towels are soothing after a sweaty hot sesh!

I canceled my membership last week after being a loyal and consistent customer at this studio for 3 years. I showed up at my usual Saturday class last weekend and learned that my favorite teacher had been let go by new ownership. I was stunned. I almost exclusively took classes from this teacher because she was the only one that offered classes that were more challenging and helped me grow in my abilities. I arranged my weekly schedule to accommodate these classes because they were so wonderful and made a big difference in my life. By letting this teacher go, they essentially left me with no other classes that suited my goals. Truly frustrating.
The teacher they let go had a loyal group of consistent students who attended her classes. They were the only classes I ever saw waitlists for. In fact, they had just given her a 3rd class a week at the beginning of September (up from 2 classes a week) because customers had asked for it and the demand was obvious. Now, a couple of weeks later, she is gone completely with no customer input and no real rationale given.
The way this decision was made and executed has also left me scratching my head and questioning what is going on behind the scenes at this studio. I was never informed that ownership was changing, let alone that apparently all classes will now be taught in a new uniform structure. How very corporate of them. If there is only uniformity and no range, how will yogis develop and grow?
After my last class, I spoke with the owner about my disappointment and was told “change is hard” and when I expressed my feelings about the lack of diversity in the remaining class schedule (no more challenging classes that taught more advanced asanas, etc.) she was dismissive and said she wasn’t going to try to change my mind.
All of that made it an easy choice to leave this studio and go somewhere more customer-focused and welcoming. I honestly have no idea how this makes any business sense. She is losing long-term members over 3 hours of (packed) classes a week that kept us there. It has been a truly odd and disappointing turn of events.

Shameful disgrace on what just happened here. After 2+ years of attending here regularly and building up a solid practice, this place just went under new ownership who decided to just come in and clean house without asking any feedback from the current customer base. She FIRED (and yes I’m using that term as the current verbiage they obviously want used is she was simply “removed from our schedule”) WITHOUT CAUSE their top instructor because she is too challenging and didn’t fit within the new vision. Apparently the new vision is complete consistency vs variability. This OWNER doesn’t even TEACH! She doesn’t have one class on the current schedule! Yet she’s coming in and taking charge like she thinks she knows better than the staff who have been here for years.
Edited: Below is a 5 star review from someone named Brittany posted shortly after mine - this person is a member of the owner’s Minnetonka staff and isn’t even part of Y6 Richfield. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess.
So if you want a consistent yet BORING yoga practice where everything is now going to be the same all the time because “consistency”, go here. If you want a practice that will grow as you get stronger and better, and want variability to suit how your week to week is going, go somewhere else.
Horrible how this was handled. I’m not coming back. It was cold-hearted and no thought was given into decisions. Zero respect for the people and teachers who built this studio and community up and absolutely no respect for their current active members and what they want. For the new owner who claims she values feedback - well, you have gotten it. You are not listening.
I wish I could give two stars because the remaining instructors are lovey and they had previously great classes. Good luck to the people still here. We still love you. I hope to see them again someday at another studio who values them more. This new sheriff in town shouldn’t reflect on how great they are and should let who is left have autonomy - they know their students. The owner clearly does not, and does not care. I hope it hits your bottom line hard. A business is hard to run when nobody shows up. How is the new look going for you now that the classes that were once full with 30 people and had a waitlist now only have 2 sign ups?

I used to love this place but the new ownership has made some unacceptable changes. She fired a beloved teacher for having classes that were too difficult. This teacher was the only one who had waitlists for her classes and a packed studio for every class. When her students found out, we were sad, frustrated and disappointed but our concerns were addressed with “try taking a class with other teachers” or “you should try corepower”. If this teacher isn’t brought back, I will be forced to cancel my membership.

I’ve been a loyal member of this studio for years—through early morning flows, deep restorative sessions, and countless moments of personal growth. It used to be a place where community thrived, where instructors truly cared, and where we felt heard. That all changed with the new ownership.
The recent firing of the best instructor—without transparency, without community input, and without any regard for the impact—is a slap in the face to those of us who built our practice around her guidance. This instructor wasn’t just good; they were exceptional. Their classes were the heartbeat of this studio, and their absence is deeply felt.
What’s worse is the dismissive attitude of the new owner. Feedback is ignored, concerns are brushed off, and the sense of community we once cherished has been replaced with cold indifference and corporate detachment. It’s clear the new leadership values control over connection.
I never thought I’d say this, but I no longer feel welcome here. If you’re looking for a studio that listens, evolves with its members, and honors the spirit of yoga—not just the business of it—this is no longer that place.

I have been dedicated founding member to this place for years. But the new owner and current manager decided to break a community of yogis that love coming together to sweat in the only challenging class they offered. Our instructor was let go without an explanation. Her classes were always waitlisted. We, customers, were pushed to explore elsewhere with a simple “changes are hard” statement. Very disrespectful and dismissive.

I absolutely love the YogaSix Nokomis studio! I initially tried this location and their restore class due to ClassPass. I was really impressed with their level of customer service and attentiveness - it's just something I really value. A day before my class, I received an email welcoming me to their studio and to arrive early to my class so they can show me around. I had tried a different local studio and it was a very transactional experience. It didn't matter here, that I was visiting with ClassPass - I was just one of their folks from the beginning. I loved the Restore class with Dani. I later tried the Power class - (my favorite!) and became a member. Ashley and the crew at the studio are such lovely folks - it definitely feels like a community, even as a newbie; which, I truly appreciate.

I have been practicing every Sunday 9am-10 am Y6Hot class, which offers pretty amazing mind/body cues, chakra therapy lighting and great heat with matching humidity. I love how the instructor offers and encourages autonomy, choice and different versions of the same pose-very trauma informed. The studio is always clean. Front house staff is very inviting and informative. My only suggestions for room for improvements are: It would be appreciated for yoga instructors to make a gentle reminder before class starts for practitioners to refrain from loud/continuous conversations in the studio. Often times I have been trying to relax/meditate after a very stressful work week and feel this to be irritating/jarring. I would also love to hear a softer beat (with lower volume) playlist before class. Sometimes I feel the music is too loud and very "club-like." Overall, I really do like this studio and would encourage it to lean more towards eastern style format with strong mind/body connection and less Corepower style. I think it would make for a refreshing and much needed change to the hot yoga that is offered in this city! I like that this studio offers several variations of packages and would love even more to see a "pay what you can/clean for free yoga classes" option for individuals who cannot afford yoga. Thank you YogaSix Nokomis for all the "special classes" you offer ie) sound bath, yin/restorative)! I would love to see these offered in regular class schedule and not as extras requiring additional payment.

Love! Attending YogaSix is the first time in my life I’ve successfully gotten into a workout class routine. 6 weeks in and loving it.

First time visiting Yoga Six today and I was pleasantly surprised. Clean and safe but not sterile feeling environment. Friendly staff with genuine interest in my experience. Easy to get to, and parking was plentiful. I'll be returning soon!

For the past few years I have been funky (haven’t we all?) and I needed some peace. My sister really wanted to try yoga and I begrudgingly said I would try. I have had several large gym memberships in the past. None of them felt authentic or particularly welcoming. First class was Thursday night Restore with India. As I huffed and puffed in the warm studio, something she said resonated with me: “Yoga is embracing being imperfect”. I literally welled up. I didn’t have to worry my workout pants had a hole, my sports bra didn’t quite fit, that I felt like I might die doing anything besides Child’s Pose, or that I was clearly a hot mess. Yoga is for me. Yoga is for you. Yoga is for everyone. These instructors are tough, kind, and somehow say the right things just when you think you might flee the studio. The studio…beautiful, serene, and clean. They also have awesome water that’s from unicorn tears or something. The staff is awesome and the culture is inclusive. I now crave yoga and has become my medicine. You don’t know me from Eve but, that’s a far cry from where I started. Thanks Yoga6 Nokomis. You improved the quality of my life.

This studio is AWESOME. I've been coming here for the past few months and have loved the experience. It's a very welcoming, calm and clean space. And the instructors are fabulous! Highly recommend checking it out!
The only drawback: I wish there was a larger variety of classes. There are only six in total and three of them are a bit too relaxing/slow-paced for me (101, Restore, Slow Flow). The other three (Hot, Power, Sculpt & Flow) are so great though, and they're always different! I get the best workouts and feel centered every time I leave the studio.

Go somewhere else. Inconsiderate with cancelling membership and at class there is no instruction to help you improve your practice.

I’ve completed 6 classes at this studio so far and would highly recommend this place for all levels of yogis. Modifications are always given by instructors for various practice levels and flexibility. The studio is very clean and well maintained with nice amenities such as yoga towels and sweat towels provided. I like that the instructors get to bring their own teaching style and provide music and lighting choices for the classes. There is also a variety of props that are well organized and available for use.

The staff & space is everything you'd want in a yoga studio. The Y6 experience is something that you just cant find at any other studio and so this is by far my favorite yoga studio. Always good promos going on and just the ambiance itself is the biggest thing for me.

Everything from the ambiance to the friendly staff is just perfect. You feel seen, special, and comfortable no matter what skill level you are at. The goal here is to do what is best for you and walk out of the studio feeling rejuvenated. I can say that I felt that every time I walked out. I even did yoga with bunnies here once...BUNNIES! If you need some Zen, positivity, and a good sweat...this is your place!

This was my second ever yoga experience and I was very nervous. Ended up going to a hot yoga class and absolutely loved it. Not only was the instructor super kind and patient, but the environment and music was amazing. I never felt judged throughout the class. Highly recommend!

More details below on my experience, but here's the TLDR version:
Pros: clean, modern studio and technology; cool towels after class; variety of classes; pricing is competitive
Cons: teachers don't provide hands-on assists; some classes get way too hot (safety warning); only one studio, you don't always have a ton of time to settle in before class; they don't always say the posture so cues can be confusing if you're not watching others (ie, straighten your back = halfway lift); 30-day cancellation policy
My yoga journey & Y6 experience:
I started at a small, independent studio up in Duluth. No fancy amenities or features, just yoga and good humans. When I moved to Minneapolis, I became a member at CorePower out of convenience and not knowing other studios and then proceeded to get my 200 hour teaching cert through CPY. Loved the showers, energy, inviting community, amazing classes! However, I wanted to explore others as both a student and teacher, so with Y6 opening up I opted for the Founding Members deal ($99 for ~ 2 months). Unfortunately, with my schedule and commute, I only made it to a handful of classes, but I made sure to try different class types and teachers. When it came time to renew, I asked to cancel my membership because it would not be used, but was told I would be charged another $100 because they require 30-day notice. *I've never heard of such thing with yoga studios and was not told of this when I signed up.*
I did not find the community I was looking for with Y6, but if you're looking for a new studio and are cool with a 30-day heads up, this may be an option for you. They offer a deal for your first class/week!

Very nice new boutique yoga studio. There are 6 different types of classes they offer at multiple times throughout the day. There is only 1 yoga studio but they also sell yoga clothes, mats, and other items in the front. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and a reverse osmosis water filter for student use as well as mat rentals. Some of the classes are heated and some are lightly heated. They had great new equipment for use such as bolsters, blocks, weights, and straps. My class started but over 7 minutes late and I didn't like the headset microphone they used for the class otherwise a nice studio.
