I’ve been a member of the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton for many years. They continue to update and evolve to keep pace with what members want and need. What hasn’t changed is the staff’s willingness to engage and provide guidance and assistance whenever I need it. The Healthplex is a wonderful asset to our community and to me personally. Five stars for sure!

Joined this gym with my family years ago. This has always been a safe place to play basketball and work on your skills. The closure of the basketball courts screams racism as there were mainly black people playing on the courts. Many guys spent hours and hours working on their game on those courts. Did they think about the local college basketball players and more importantly the local high school players? I strongly recommend every black person to not join this gym and anyone else who has been affected by the closure of the basketball courts.

I’m afraid I need to edit my review. Months ago I gave this gym a 5 star review. I’ve traveled through many states and been a member to dozens of gyms. It truly had everything I’ve wanted in a gym. However, I had to move for my job and after calls and calls and emails and emails over a matter of 3 months to cancel my membership I was not only continually charged but double charged. I had to return to town months later. I drove from South Dakota on my birthday and slept in the bed of my truck. All I was looking forward to on my birthday was a shower, a good work out, sauna, and cold plunge which I enjoyed at this gym while I lived in Clinton. As I pulled into town tired and sweaty I went inside for a day pass. They informed me they don’t do day passes anymore. I shared with multiple employees with patience, kindness and hope, my story of the past two days. I mentioned it was my birthday and I just need a shower and would love a work out and to enjoy their sauna/cold plunge/hot tub. There was no human being that even admitted they were sorry and wished they could help. Just cold responses. I don’t blame the young kids who worked there. I even showed them my multiple months of double charges after I moved away and clarified I needed my membership cancelled. It hurts me to change my review from 5 star as I’m usually a 5 star reviewer but this situation made me so so sad. I hadn’t been so sad in a while. What has things come to when people cant use autonomy and free judgement to not only help someone in need who was a loyal member but to also make a sale!? level with a person and help somebody out. There is no autonomy anymore and employees have to listen to a system of rules that makes customer service garbage and distasteful. It was so disappointing to see a lack of effort to make a sale for a business. I was willing to pay for a month and they still said no. They turned me down cold and had no remorse or guilt to watching me walk away dirty on my birthday after begging them to take my money, overcharge me for one day just to shower at the least.

Student at Mc, for years and years this gym has been a place where hundreds of students have spent countless hours in the gym taking a break from school. They used our tuition dollars as well as our membership dollars to tear down our basketball goals. The two goals left can only be used if you’re on the Mississippi College Basketball team

I tried it out for the first time today, 17 months Postpartum, and was short checked by a female faculty member. She told me I couldn’t wear the shorts I was wearing. I was shocked, as I was properly clothed in normal athletic attire. Almost cried as I went to pick up my child.
After checking online and not finding a dress code, I am led to believe I was being discriminated against purely on the bias of this staff member.
The equipment was great. Felt good about the childcare. The other staff were friendly. However, I will struggle to return under these circumstances. How a fitness center can allow this conduct from employees is beyond comprehension. Shame.

Love this place! They have all the excercise equipment you can think of for weights, cardio, etc. They have a wet and dry sauna, swimming pool, and hot tub and cold therapy pool. They also have a coffee bar. It's always clean there and the employees are all nice and helpful. Best gym membership I've ever paid for. Consider this gym membership as an investment in your health.

I actually enjoy the gym, however, not allowing full court basketball to be played past 6pm is ridiculous. There are a group of us that are in school or work until 5pm and cannot get there any earlier. We were the only people on either court last night and were told we could no longer play full court. This makes 0 sense for the amount of money paid.

We have a monthly membership here and the price is very good. Also, they have so much more than a gym to work out. Swimming , sauna, whirlpool, basketball, etc. I mean the whole 9 yards at a great price per month. My entire family from the oldest to the youngest 8 year old has great experiences here.

I joined recently after they opened back up. I love the women’s area, they have the steam, high powered whirlpool and pools. The fact that they allow you also to exercise without a mask is wonderful. All the equipment is up to date and the staff is friendly. Two different floors with the weight machines. The track is wonderful also. Totally worth the cost of a monthly membership !

Upon joining, I was informed that my Mother could bring my kids to the gym in my absence. That was important to me because of my work schedule. They said she could bring them as a Guest , since the kids are not of age. Well, after the first month, my Mom was told that she had to be a member. She explained that she had brought the kids several times with no problems. She has NEVER used the equipment and has ALWAYS set and monitored the kids. Josh Osborn told her that she had to leave HIS building. He stated that they do not have a Guest policy. I should have been informed upon registering that they do not have a Guest policy!!! SHE WAS NOT UTILIZING Josh’s facility only sitting watching her grandkids!! I didn’t know that Baptist Healthplex was owned by Joshua Osborn. Needless to say, I canceled my membership!!!

It's better than planet fitness. The health plex keeps upgrading and remodeling. Lots of people come to this gym. If you like community or being around a lot of people while you workout then you may like it around the 4 to 8pm time of day at the gym. They have gymnastic rings which I love to use. Multiple squat racks. Upstairs and a downstairs with leg press machines. Areas for yoga. Classes for spin, bootcamps, barre, and swim. Nice swimming area downstairs. Along with a smoothie bar when you enter the gym. Plenty of free weights. And a nice rogue station.

This multilevel facility is very nice. For MC students, they make membership very uncomplicated and not exceedingly cost prohibitive especially for the quality of the facilities. The hours can be a bit absurd particularly for Friday and Saturday.
