Equipment is not maintained..lots of broken or missing parts..not enough 5 10 and 25 lb plates in both areas..no new equipment added in years..weight plates are not organized on equipment ..accessories lying all over floor and hard to find...workers don't know how to run a gym or care..it's all about selling memberships and training classes

Generally, a great gym. Equipment in good shape. Restrooms are clean. Staff is friendly. But for the past 6-8 months it is too packed. Members-to-Space ratio is bad. Too many 16-24yr olds standing around socializing instead of working. Regardless, it’s better than PF, so we’ll stay.

Gym is nice and clean most the time. My only complaint is that the paper towels in men's locker room are consistently out and the weight scale didn't work and now they have removed all together. Staff could be a little more friendly like at the madison location. Overall good place to workout

I think the gym is very nice the place was clean. And the equipment is in the right place sometimes, the employee will place them in right spot. And I think the board in front of the counter is very cute. The manager have draw the squid game and said no skipping peg day and I think that very creative.

Overall it’s a great gym. My only complaint is they need to replace some of the attachments for the cable machines that have been broken or missing for a while. Some are in bad shape and haven’t been fixed or replaced. Other than that I have very few complaints.

I used to enjoy it but it’s gotta do busy and kinda run down with some machines missing stuff or not cleaned after. Idk seems more unorganized than before, plus they don’t have a to go online or on the app to pause your subscription. So now I have to actually call or go by. The managing partner, Mike ellinski, is too greedy to be running a business. Constantly changing pricing, increasing the rate but not adding anything to the gym. The low monthly membership that brought people into the gym keeps losing perks that you have to spend more to get unless you upgrade to a higher amount. Unfortunately ellinski thinks he knows more than he actually does, especially regarding businesses. Won’t even get into how he treats his employees.

Edit: that response is the most generic non-sincere answer I’ve ever seen. I explained my concern in the review, so what exactly are you willing to “discuss”? Once again, showing this business is one of the worst run I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I personally love this gym and have been attending for a few years. The main problem I've come across is the rude staff. The blue and green haired girl has been rude to me on several circumstances. Also another girl at the front who helped me with my membership was extremely rude. The equipment is wonderful and I genuinely enjoy attending but the staff is a BIG NO and makes it unbearable.

The girl with green and black hair is one of the rudest people that I have ever been around. I can’t believe that she works in customer service. She has been very rude to me on more than one occasion. And according to reviews, I am not the only one. Yet nothing has been done to correct behavior. The answer they sent is ridiculous, I never said it was day before, please check out all reviews on personal training program and about the same girl rude to them in April. I have called customer service, corporate. All they do is at not one to help n send you to someone else that does same thing. They just try to blame customer and call you a liar. The club is awful. Was member of YMCA for 25 years and never had one problem. Below is other complaint that club claims doesn’t exist.

I’ve been a member here for almost 5 years. I’ve always been nice to everyone and none of the staff has ever had a problem from me . Multiple times I’ve come to this location and the girl with blue and green hair who I guess is somehow a manager? has been super rude and unprofessional to me as well as others for little to no reason. She’s clearly taking out her negative energy on people who didn’t make her feel that way. If this happens again I will be changing my membership to somewhere else or just not going to the flowood location at all.

From day one, this facility has been the best I've ever worked out in. The staff is amazing. The facility is always clean.

They will try and charge you extra for almost any reason, I have been going to the club for almost 2 years now and I don’t usually have problems with them, I had my first issue about a year ago with them charging my card more than it was suppose to and they didn’t give me to much of an issue, I talked to a manager dude he was very nice and made an effort to resolve my issue. This time I had another issue with overcharging and this time it was handled very very poorly I called up there with a concern of a 70$ charge to my card and they wouldn’t let me talk to a manager (this time it was a she according to the guy I talked to on the phone) the dude told me nothing else except that it was a “violation” and I asked what it was about and he said “I let someone in” I asked if I can talk to someone about this cause I’m sure I haven’t let no stranger in the gym and the only way this makes sense is if my gf was right behind me(she is also a club member that scans the same way I do) but the man on the phone told me that the charge is final and i basically can’t do anything about it. So honestly hate that this happened just be careful with this location. Very disappointed in the management not even trying to talk to me about the situation.
I called 1/02/25 at 11:30 and my phone call didn’t last more than 5 min.. at least the receptionist dude was very nice and respectful

I cancelled my credit card and didn’t update my club 4 fitness payment method. I didn’t realize this and when I tried to go there they told me I had to contact corporate. I decided to just cancel my membership because I didn’t use it. It turns out they sent me to collections for $10.

Worst place ever. Be careful because they will charge you more than they should on your credit card. The monthly fees are very high. If you decide to cancel, they will make the process as difficult as possible to charge you as much extra time as they can, even if you are not using the place. I do not recommend this place.

I have been going to this gym an avg of 200-250ish days/year since 2016. Over those 7 years I’ve used multiple locations. In 2018 we cancelled my wife’s membership (so we thought). But apparently the paperwork wasn’t located. We have been getting charged over the last 5 years for both of us. I didn’t cause a big fuss. I just simply asked for an equivalent credit to my account because I’m so active there. The best they could offer was 1 year free for my wife. This isn’t about getting money, back but taking care of loyal customers..

I started going back to the gym first of the year, like a lot of others. I started working with trainer David Turner to hold me accountable and provide workouts I can follow. He has been awesome to work with. He is super knowledgeable, always makes sure my form is correct, pushes me to train harder and is just a really nice guy. He always wants to help and never makes you feel like you are a bother when you have a question. It’s been a great experience working with David and it makes you excited to workout. He is definitely an asset to the Flowood location. I’m looking forward to seeing how I increase my strength over the next year with his help. Also, the gym is big, has a good layout and has everything you will ever need, whether it be weights or cardio. It’s been a great experience all the way around.

Love this gym! The staff is amazing and are very friendly and helpful. The equipment is in good shape and gets refreshed frequently. The gym can get busy in the late afternoons, but there is plenty of equipment to go around. I don't find myself unable to complete a workout because someone is using a machine I planned to use.
The tanning beds and Hydromassage chairs are worth the price of admission, imo!

Great gym all around. Only complaint is that the staff sometimes isn’t verbal and likes to tap on my shoulder to get my attention. I have PTSD and tapping my shoulder when I’m not expecting it isn’t a good decision. Also the machine that takes card for drink needs to be fixed. The facility is very nice. The locker rooms have clean bathrooms and outdated showers that take 15 min to get hot water; I did go in the winter, so it might just be when that happens. The lockers are well maintained, nice-looking scale on the floor. I can not speak about the male locker room, for I have not been inside of it. They have nice equipment, good weight and cardio machines. I do think that the space compared to the number of people needs to increase. The space is just a bit small. The service at the door is really good; they are friendly, funny and have a good knowledge of the facility.

This place is a scam and a ripoff! My husband signed up and then realized he wouldn’t be able to go, so he canceled less than 2 weeks after joining. He never went a single time. A week after canceling we were charged for a month of service and then a $49 “yearly fee”. First off, we were never told about the yearly fee. Secondly, why would he be charged a yearly fee when he wasn’t even a member for 2 weeks and never went there once?! When we called to try and get this disaster straightened out, the customer service was atrocious. As someone who spent years in customer service, I know professionalism and appropriate behavior. This guy was trash. He was rude, inconsiderate, and not at all interested in assisting us with correcting their mistakes. I honestly couldn’t believe how unprofessionally this was handled. I just hope our situation can be a warning to others to not do business with this place and to find a reputable gym with fair business practices and good customer service. It’s obvious this facility isn’t prospering financially as they seem to need to scam innocent people to keep afloat.

It has potential but you pay for what you get.. day time is professional and feels like a gym.. night time is full of employees flirting with girls and sitting on the counters up front.. to keep my trash in the waste baskets I’ve had to push them down with my shoe several times and throw away other people’s trash sitting on the equipment I’m trying to work out on..it gets better then slowly starts to fall off so I do my best to work out earlier

Beware if you are taking any personal training sessions. It goes on month to month billing automatically (after the initial contract period) unless you cancel it with 30 day notice. When I wanted to cancel the training sessions, I wrote a mail to the manager asking for cancellation and also asking him to do anything that I need to do. 11 days and no response. When I checked my next credit card statement I see a charge for the 4th month (I took a 3 month session). I called the manager and his response was "I only sell and there ends my responsibility; you need to check with your personal trainer". Utter unprofessional behavior and do not have basic work ethic to respond to his work mail.

I hope if you are one signing off for a personal training session, you be aware of these things. I don't know whom to blame? The greed of Corporate America where they squeeze "subscription" based auto renewals or the customer service offered by the staff? Whatever the case may be, there is a big dent on my credit card bill. I had to request a cancellation using the app (this again is a hidden gem that favors the auto renewal model) and personally go to the location and explain the staff and asked them to act on it. Now I need to see if they have done their job this time around.

Bottom line, if you are about to sign a personal training session with a trainer make sure that you get your contract and be aware of the auto renewal model. It is cleverly designed to mislead the customers.

I was charged for months after I called to cancel my membership at the location I signed up at. When I noticed the charges continuing on my account, I called to try and get it straighted out. It was then I was told that you can't cancel your membership over the phone. I had to send an email. So I was charged for several months for a gym membership I didn't know I still had and they will not reimburse me even though they can see the membership wasn't used. They actually did this for 2 accounts, mine and my husband's.

For its size, this gym has given way too many memberships. During peak hours (mornings till 9 am and evenings often upto 8 pm), this gym is too packed to get a good work out in, in a time efficient manner. Good things about the gym: it is kept pretty clean and has most of the basic equipment.

I thoroughly enjoyed my membership while it lasted. However, I bought a home 90 miles away from the area and was informed I would be released from my contract as long as i provided proof of the move and completed the request for cancellation online. I did all I was supposed to do but now I'm beginning to receive harassment calls regarding a past due account. I've spoken with 3 managers at this point and just received a call from someone in billing demanding payment. I informed him i spoke with Trey just 2 days ago and sent him a copy of my home purchase documents. Great gym facilities but very poor customer service and a complete failure of management to follow through with their duties. The "contact us" option is not monitored and I've never received a reply when using that feature. If i receive one more phone call, I'll contact my lawyer to determine if I'm able to sue for continued harassment.

Be aware of hidden fees. Nobody told me about the existence of an annual membership fee of $39.00. They should told that in advance and now they say I didn't read the confusing contract. In the contract it says the fee is due on the anniversary of my contract but they charged me in February and my contract started in January. it also lacks some amenities and specialties available in other venues of the chain such as yoga classes.
Paying $ 15.00 plus the membership is almost the same of YMCA prices and Y offers way more conveniences and classes to take.

This gym is one of the best gyms in Mississippi. Very spacious with plenty of equipments. memberships start at $15/month, and with the $25 membership, you're entitled to use their hydro massage beds once per day. I've yet to run into any problems here! Stay fit and good health to all!

I LOVE everything about this gym.... but one thing.... it’s always so hot that I feel like I’ll pass out. Today I confirmed. It’s almost 76 degrees in here 😰. I don’t even keep my house that warm. I over heard another gym member complained before and they turned it down. I just hate to complain. Hoping someone will fix this so I don’t have to. I live in Mississippi, if I wanted to work out in the heat I’d go outside to do it.

This gym has excellent equipment and is kept in the best of condition.

You'd best not workout with a friend or training partner, though. Any partner workouts or partner posing practice will result in immediate termination of membership without recourse, as it constitutes "training with a non-Club trainer."

So as long as you don't workout with anyone else ever, you should be good to go. Excellent equipment.
