It has officially been one year since I started training at Functional Fitness with Coach Ashley and Coach Trent. My original goal was to gain weight—yes, you read that right! But not just any weight… I wanted to build healthy, strong muscle.
With Ashley’s guidance in training, nutrition, and overall wellness, I was able to achieve that goal. Even after my foot surgery and a hospitalization due to GI complications, she customized every workout to support my recovery, rebuild my strength, and help restore my energy safely and effectively.
Functional Fitness is more than just a semi-private gym—it truly feels like another home. The community is warm and welcoming, and Ashley and Trent feel more like friends and family. They pay attention to every detail during each session, making sure we train safely and confidently.

I started working with Ashley Anderson in Nov 2022 with some HIIT training that was on my plan from my online trainers. She was so awesome and helpful that I switched to her as my personal trainer in Mar of 2023. I highly recommend Ashley at Functional Fitness because of the following….

#1 Your health and wellbeing are going to be her TOP priority.

#2 Ashley will tailor your plan to STRENGTHEN your weak areas to IMPROVE your body. I have knee and shoulder issues and she tailored my plan to strengthen these areas. I have noticed HUGH IMPROVEMENTS in my knees and shoulder. I am killing leg exercises I normally used to have issues with like pistol squats, box jumps, Bulgarian split squats, hack squats and I can almost do an unassisted pull up.

#3 The workout and nutrition plans have GREAT SOLID CONTENT that you can TRUST and are easy to follow in the Functional Fitness App.

Overall, just an AWESOME trainer/gym experience. I have enjoyed all the workouts and look forward to getting BETTER and STRONGER.
