I like the cleanliness and convenience of pf but for over a year I have been going to the desk asking them to order new handles for the cable equipment but they never do. Seriously how much can these cost? Greed is a terrible thing

First I'll say everyone that works there is nice. That's the only reason for stars. I called a week ago, I hadn't being going due to health reasons, I wanted to know what would be better ,freeze or cancel. I was told to freeze it and they wouldn't take any fees out 7nt8l Feb 26. Two days later they tried to take it, I got a new account and the payment didn't go through, I called again, they said come up there. I went up there, they took 45.50 after telling me they weren't going to charge me. I get up there and I'll admit I was mad, still mad. Manager said it was too late to keep it from charging me and no refund, I told her what the employee told me, she should cover what they say, she trains them it's her responsibility. Five stars to everyone else. Don't let companies play with your money. Edit, reply to "owner". I emailed you per your request. I sent two emails, one outlining my issue and the second was praise of an employee, you DIDN'T RESPOND TO THE EMAIL ABOUT MY ISSUE, YOU DID REPLY TO THE SECOND 9NE. Here's my question, why even act like you're interested in solving a problem when you're just showing for the Google review machine? No response is better than a fake response.

After visiting 18 Planet Fitness locations over the past month and a half, I can confidently say this is the least clean facility I’ve encountered—it’s genuinely filthy.
The bathrooms are in terrible condition. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, I was told she couldn’t leave her post, which I understand. However, when I mentioned the issue to other members and asked if this was typical, several confirmed that the receptionist is a college student who often does homework during her shift.
More than an hour after reporting the bathroom conditions, nothing had been addressed. Trash bins were overflowing, garbage littered the floor, and the toilets were disgustingly dirty.
As for the equipment, most of it seemed comparable to other Planet Fitness locations, though this gym has a notably limited kettlebell selection—just a few scattered weights rather than a complete set.
Samuel Rodgers is the Ass. Manager; fitting eh?
If I were you and this was my local PF, I’d find a better place with staff that show up and want to be held accountable for doing a job they are paid for.

Having been sedentary for the bulk of my adult life, my wife decided it was time for 'us' to get in shape. Our Medicare Advantage plan offered a wellness program called Silver & Fit, that allowed us to join a fitness center at no cost. We chose Planet Fitness in Gulfport, MS because of it's proximity to our home. Sign up was quick and easy, with the help of the desk staff! On our first day we visited all the exercise stations, did a little time on the rowing machines, and left completely overwhelmed as to where to start! On our next visit, we were again greates by the desk staff. This time we asked about an orientation to the equipment. They once again were very helpful, and set up a meeting with the staff trainer. We found out our membership allowed us access to the trainer at no additional cost! We arrived for our meeting with the trainer, Shaun, the next day. Shaun had a workout plan prepared for us upon our arrival He took us to each machine, explained how to adjust the machines to fit our bodies, and explained or showed us how each piece of equipment worked. He also offered us a chance to use each device, and helped us to position ourselves on the equipment properly, and watched us use the machines to help us achieve the proper form. So far we have been very pleased with the team, with our only concern being there are a couple of machines in-op due to user abuse, and timing to use some machines in our circuits due to their popularity.

Best Gym Experience Ever!

This business has dishonest and unethical practices. They told my wife not to cancel her membership until a certain date to avoid the annual fee. They told her the opposite of the truth. She came during the time they told her to come in. The annual fee charge had already hit our bank account. Then they told her they could not refund the fee. When I talked to a coworker, she was told the exact same thing, leading to another annual fee charge she could not get out of. I'm furious that they train their employees to intentionally lie to their customers. I will never patronize Planet Fitness again, and I will be telling anyone who listens to avoid this dishonest and unethical business.

I can’t speak for all locations but for this one it seems they don’t have a policy anymore for mens nipples showing in their cutoff, Slamming weights on the ground, and cleanliness. So I was paying a monthly su subscription there and I was paying out of my account and I saw a posy that allowed gender net,to go into restroom, absolutely not good at all, men go to men restrooms women go to women it's very uncomfortable to have a man walk in while your taking a shower or using the restroom,or changing, yall better be careful and protect your girls that are old enough to workout with you!!! Giving you guys a 2 star because I actually don't mind the gym it's self for working out. You are usually able to get to what ever you want to do a workout.

On to why I'm giving you a 2 star. I started a membership on Dec 14th (thank you for sending me my start date via email when I cancelled in person today (Feb 5th)) and they hit me with the 1 year membership fee on Feb 1st. Spoke with the person on the phone who runs this location and he said "we charge you after two months".... that's fine, it hasn't been two months sir.

I then asked for a cooperate email or phone number, so I can speak with someone who might be able to help me with this situation. His response was "I'm not trying to run you around, but I don't have a email or phone number for you to dispute the transaction".

Fast forward to today. I walk in to cancel the membership. I approach the counter where there is a staff member and the manager standing on the other side listening to us speak. I asked the staff member about getting a refund and point out that the manager at the location would be the person to speak with about the refund which is posted on there website. Manager said "there was nothing he could do". The staff member than said he can give me a number to call. This goes against what the manager had told me the other day. As the staff member was getting the number the manager spoke up and said " they won't do anything". That's awesome, I wasn't asking you what they could do for me. I wanted to speak to these people myself. Terrible customer services from the Manager.

I always want to give a great review of a business that I personally utilize but Planet Fitness has failed across the board at the site.

I was here around 8am on 1/26/2024 passing through so I was here to take a shower and get back on the road. How could the ladies locker room be as dirty as it was at the time of the day in a single day? It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in over a week and if you’re a clean person then you can tell. I’ve read other reviews and have seen this isn’t new for this site and that’s very concerning.

Seems like PF has a habit of hiring lazy workers and that don’t hold them accountable for anything especially for just sitting around on their phones or trying to pick up other members like it’s a place to hook up.

I’m considering looking into other gyms because my last several reviews of PF locations across the country have not met any good cleanliness standards and I don’t want to get MRSA because the machines aren’t being wiped down and disinfected and I certainly don’t want to catch anything else from using the showers. Thank God for shower shoes but I still feel dirty after using the shower here and you shouldn’t ever feel like that after a shower.

Gulfport treadmills desperately need upgrading. I feel like I’m constantly about to lose balance on them because they wobble a bit when I walk on them. I thought it was in my head until I visited Biloxi. Theirs are much sturdier and easier to use and also have built in fans and charging ports. Everything else is great though and gets the job done.

I'm here for the tanning and red light therapy bed! There are 6 (stand-only) tanning beds, and 1 (stand-only) Red Light Therapy Bed (has massage/vibrating option). Max time is 10 minutes each. Can use both tanning & red light bed in same day. Can use both beds 1x every 24hrs (or once a day). Front desk sells tanning and red bed lotion by the bottle and single use packets. Fair priced, a tad bit cheaper than tanning salons. $$

Only open half the hours they used to be and still charging people the same price. These hours are only convenient for people that work part-time and less than 8 hours a day. Not a bad gym, but the hours are extremely inconvenient.
