Without a doubt the worst golf course I have ever played. Thought it was bad a year ago, but it got worse. Poor tee boxes,fairways, greens, every bunker has grass growing in it. Cart with no windshield. Didn't finish mowing the greens until about 9:30. I really can't think of anything positive. I will not be going back.

First off, I want to say the staff in the pro shop are always fantastic—friendly, professional, and super helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of the course has noticeably declined as the summer has progressed, especially the greens. I understand July and August have been unusually dry, which may be contributing to the issue, but I’ve played other courses in the area that cost half as much and are in significantly better shape.

Another concern is the goose droppings, which have become a major problem. I realize this might be difficult to control, but it’s frustrating to hit a ball into the middle of the fairway or step onto a tee box and have to carefully watch every step.

Played Timber Truss today and frankly was wonderful. The greens are some of the best around. I play all over and these rank up there with any I have played public or Private. Staff is wonderful. Have played here many times before and the progress the team has made is beyond words compared to when this ownership took over a few years ago.
Had a hot dog today and it was 6 dollars. I know but it so good I got another. Best hot dog I’ve ever had! Thank you Timber Truss for everything. Was so enjoyable I played 36. Give this facility and couple more years and this will be THE PLACE to play.

Golf course is 4 out of 5 on a bad day. The customer service and management are 6 out of 5 on a bad day. It’s just a fun course to play with great people. Best course in the area. So 5 stars all round. Love playing the course, the people who manage the course are even better!

Played today 6/27/25. Course was in great shape. Fairways and plush and greens are the best in the area. Firm and fast but still receptive. Definitely in summer form rolling smooth! The bunkers were immaculate! I was unfortunately in a few today. I can tell they’re making a lot of ground on getting rid of the dallisgrass weeds. I can appreciate how much work the grounds crew is putting in to keep this course in as best shape as possible. Overall I had a great experience from the pro shop to the course!

The course is in rough shape. There are weeds and dirt patches. They cut the grass when it needs to be cut and leave the left over chunks. Greens are beyond too hard. You hit the green and it rolls off, doesn’t even leave a mark on the green. They also spray the grass while you play, chemicals everywhere. Just overall horrible for play.

I’ve never seen the course in this bad of shape and I’m not taking the consideration how tall the grass was since it’s been raining a lot and the course never has drained well. The tee boxes are in terrible shape. The greens are in subpar shape and the fairways are just bad on about half of the holes. We played about a month and a half ago and it was in better shape than it is now.

Played this course today for the first time in three years and was extremely disappointed. The greens are the only thing on this course that is being taken care of. The traps are concrete with no sand. The fairways are very patchy with dead spots everywhere. The place is completely overgrown, not sure it’s seen a weed eater this year. Certainly not worth the price considering the other courses nearby.

Left my putter cover at the course and Wesley told me that they had it there over the phone. Got to the course just to be told one of the boys named Hunter sells people’s lost belongings on Facebook marketplace. If you want to play terrible conditions and have your belongings stolen, would highly recommend. Alan what a joke.

I previously documented a post here out of frustration that was not fair to John or his team at Timber Truss, yet my repost. John has done a lot to upgrade this course and should be given credit for it. I understand his green fees are based on the local area and other courses. I will certainly stop by in person to talk with John and to apologize for my poor judgement.

Certainly not a 69.00 green fee course. Course was not in very good shape and we had a 5some playing in front of us and the Marshall stated he said something to them about pace and then told us we need to speed up, didn't make sense since our pace was dictated by the group in front of us.

Well maintained course with a little room for improvement. Great layout with some challenging holes. Not a terribly long course but still has some teeth. It’s a complete steal for $40! Carts have GPS, tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in pretty good shape. I was expecting it to be $60 or more. Really glad they have all that for under $40. I’ll definitely be coming back when I visit family in Memphis.

While the course was in good shape, pace of play was very slow. The GPS even said we were 25 minutes behind the pace. There was a group of 7 in front of us that was unbelievably slow. Took us almost 20 minutes from finishing 9 to teeing off on 10. After many complaints somebody went out to finally break up the group. We saw an older gentleman we supposed was a "Marshall" sitting in a cart in the shade but he did not do anything to move play along. On one of the hottest days so far, no water on the course and no beverage cart either. Even left my info at the desk to have someone call me, but have not heard back. Extremely disappointed!!!!

Our experience at Timber Truss Golf Course was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. Clubhouse is nice and greens roll pretty decent but other than that there was a lot to be desired. Half of the fairways were flooded on a relatively dry week. The fairways that were not flooded looked like they had not been mowed in over two weeks. Nothing like not being able to find the ball that you hit perfectly into the fairway because of poor maintenance.

For reference, I live less than 5 minutes from this course. It's alarming how 50% of the time I try and go practice at the range and they almost never have range balls. It's literally a coin flip. I have been asked multiple times why I don't buy a membership and this is exactly why. 60 degrees, sunny and I walk in and they don't have range balls. Come on guys. You are too friendly, nice and professional to not have range balls in abundance if this ever changes, I'll give 5 stars.

I will be back. Staff very friendly. Carts are very nice. Greens very fast and in great shape. I do agree with others that at least one cooler for water per nine would be helpful. I used the delivery service and it worked well. I hope the management will put a little extra effort into managing the tee boxes, the cart paths and parts of the fairways. It is a beautiful course with many challenges. It could be great!!

Played there this past weekend. 8/07/22. Course was in bad shape.. at nearly 100 degrees outside.. no water stations anywhere.. no drink carts at all. For 60 dollars a round I'd like to know where that money goes cause it for sure doesn't go towards the upkeep.. irrigation has nothing to do with keeping the grasses cut .Also they charge the same for kids which is a first for me at any course. Save your money and look elsewhere!

Disappointed! Course is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Dead bare spots (big) on several tee boxes. Fairways and rough on many holes are nearly the same. Not sure the course has maintenance crews or lawn equipment anymore since it appears a lawnmower hasn’t been used since Spring. Too many options in the area, won’t be back.

Checked in around 1:20pm for a 2:00pm tee time. Tee box was open and my twosome was able to play our round in under 3-hrs. Greens were excellent and remainder of the course was in really good shape.

Played my first EVER round of golf here yesterday. The staff inside the pro shop as well as the young lady at the first hole were super friendly and made checking in for our reserved tee time a breeze. The entire course, especially the greens, were very well maintained. Though I lost a few balls to the ponds and the deep roughs, I’ll definitely be back some day for redemption! Would recommend to anyone!

Recently played here while on a work trip from out of town. Tempting shorter par 4’s and the pin location we played made the par 3’s challenging as well. The course was in great shape. Fairways were well kept and the greens were amazingly consistent from hole to hole. The GPS carts were extremely useful until you got in or near a restricted zone...lol. For the course fees and quality of experience, this course easily earns a 5 star rating.

As an out-of-towner, one thing I did find wildly bizarre about the greens was the lack of care by the member/local players. We teed off around 4:00, there were numerous groups ahead of us, and found multiple (5-7) ball marks on every single green that needed to be repaired. Most weren’t in our putting line, but it’s still basic courtesy to repair your ball marks on the green. I’m not sure if this is common behavior by the regulars of this course, but, if so, they’re doing their course management team a huge disservice by not investing basic effort to help maintain their course.

I recently played here for a quick 18 after work. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful. I rented one of their new Finn Cycles which was an absolute blast. You can drive them around the tee boxes and all the way up the green collar. We played a foursome in 2 hr and 45 min. This experience is an absolute must! I also downloaded their app which allowed me to keep score from my phone. They have a gps feature which gives you distance to the front, center, and back of any green from any location. i don't own a rangefinder so this is a big deal to me. I will be returning again soon, no doubt!

Having played the course previously as Plantation, I know the course is a good, fun course, but the course conditions were terrible this last round. The greens are half dirt, and the tee boxes were bare. Photo is of the green on #9, but by my estimation about 13-15 of the greens were this bad. I hope they get the course back in better conditions, it used to be one of my favorites.
