Review of Total Fitness Gym: A Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience
I recently visited Total Fitness Gym with the intention of signing up for a membership, but the experience was incredibly frustrating and left me with a poor impression of the gym’s professionalism. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff set a negative tone. There was one person behind the counter who didn’t acknowledge me for several minutes. Instead, she was sitting down, engrossed in her phone, completely ignoring my presence. It wasn’t until I stood there awkwardly for a while that she finally looked up and offered a half-hearted greeting.
The situation only got worse from there. I was passed off to not one, but two different staff members to handle my sign-up process, and it quickly became apparent that neither of them was properly trained. They fumbled through the process, unsure of how to proceed, which made the experience feel disorganized and inefficient. To top it all off, after wasting my time, they informed me that they couldn’t accept my insurance-based membership, which allows me access to multiple gyms, including Total Fitness.
Suspicious of their reasoning, I called my insurance provider, who confirmed that Total Fitness is indeed part of their network and should have accepted my membership without issue. The fact that the staff gave me an incorrect reason for denying my membership was not only frustrating but also highly unprofessional. It’s clear that the staff lacked proper training and communication, and the overall experience was a complete letdown.
I had high hopes for Total Fitness Gym, but the unprofessionalism, lack of training, and misinformation I encountered make it impossible for me to recommend this gym. I hope they address these issues, as this kind of service reflects poorly on their business. For now, I’ll be taking my membership elsewhere.

Great old time gym. A few machines and lots of free weights. The do have sparring and a few treadmills too. And now, they are doubling in size. Can't wait to see the new set up.

no one answers the phone….. i’ve gone up there 7 times DURING “staffed” hours to cancel my membership in which no one is there…. just wasting my money at this point. would give zero stars if I could

Been trying for A WHOLE WEEK to get someone to answer the phone but THEY NEVER DO ! I tried giving them another chance by just going up to the establishment I was locked out the building & they had no one at the front desk that was my last straw with this place , if you’re looking for a 24 Hr gym drive the extra distance to the next city over at least they answer the phone for potential customers . This place is UNPROFESSIONAL Would leave no stars if I didn’t have to click one

I'm here from out of town for a few months, so I needed a gym close by... Specifically one with a heavy bag for boxing. This place is a gem of a gym. Everyone is friendly, there's everything you need here! They even have a new tanning room and a health drink place next door with an order window in the gym. I'm so glad I found this place AND it's flexible membership plans won't break the bank. Symone is an awesome lady and made me feel so comfortable the moment I walked in the door.

This gym has it all, heavy lifting area, tanning beds, shower, pre workout, boxing, and a smoothie shop. It has a great atmosphere and the gym is super clean. Highly recommend.
